Venice's Best Seller: Basilica & Doge, Gondola + Casanova Lunch

Our tour guide spoke English with such a heavy accent that we couldn’t understand her. One big word salad. Spent too much time at the Doge palace.any hours on our feet.

These things are a must see in Venice and they were great. Our guide was good but a little difficult to hear/understand.

I was on the tour in Venice on August 4th and we never received the Casanova lunch as advertised - how do I receive a partial credit for the missing feature for 3 people ? I am a long time customer. Wayne Josey

The description was a bit confusing. We did not have a lunch though it mentioned it. However our guide was fabulous and we had a great tour. Note that women must cover bare shoulders and knees.

Very disappointed with this tour. We messaged ahead of time and got no response. When we arrived at the meeting point, there was no staff there at all and we had to find the office ourselves. In the end, the staff were rude and completely unprofessional. Not recommended. If you’re thinking about booking this tour, think again. There are plenty of other tour options in Venice. If you’re reading this, consider yourself lucky we don’t want anyone else to go through what we did. In the end we lost our money and won’t be using this tour again.

We paid for the 5-6 hour Venice's Best Seller: Basilica & Doge, Gondola + Casanova Lunch. Instead we got a 2 hour walking tour with no entrance to the Basilica or Doge or a lunch. Although the tour guide was knowledgeable, the price we paid was much more than we would have paid for a 2 hour walking tour. Very disappointed as Viator tours have been very good in the past.

This was a really good value day trip that took us walking around Venice, plus a trip upon a gondola, and a trip to murano and burano. Would recommend.

Great tour! The guide was enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable, which made the experience both fun and informative. We got to see so many amazing places, and the gondola ride was definitely the highlight! My only suggestion would be to improve the transition between the different parts of the tour. Since we were joining three separate tours, there were moments when we had to rush to the next meeting point, which felt a bit stressful and not well coordinated. A smoother handoff between tours would make the day more enjoyable and less hectic for participants.

Didn’t take the tour missed out because was unable to locate the City Flag to join the tour wasn’t able to get our money back either!

Great guided tour of magnificent buildings. Our guide Francesco was knowledgeable and friendly and made the tour come alive with both historical fact and intertwined stories.

It was a very nice and informative tour. Just meeting point is hard to find. Otherwise I highly recommend this tour specially with Beatrice.

Great experience made even better by our lovely guide, Emma! She was friendly & knowledgeable about her beloved Venezia. The tour started with a little walk with information via headphones & radio (supplied by Emma). Then on to our gondola trip which was expertly driven by the gondolier. A fab way to see the Grand Canal. Finally a surprise free extra of a VR tour of the history of Venice. A great trip - well worth doing. Grazia Emma!! Regards, Jill & Silvana

Seeing Venice from a gondola was a lovely experience. Our guide Beatrice was very informative and enthusiastic! We enjoyed the virtual reality tour showing the history of Venice. I would have liked the gondola ride to be a bit longer.

The tour was great as it took us into the Grand canal or gondola driver was lovely singing and talking throughout. Our tour guide Beatrice was happy and very well informed of Venice. The 3D virtual tour of Venice in the 1600s at the end was a nice little treat

Despite a very knowledgeable guide at the basilica and an adorable gondola guide, the trip was awful. It was extremely unorganized. In the morning I sent an email asking what time the tour ended. I was told 4:00 pm and made 6:00 pm dinner reservations, accordingly. We had a good tour of the basilica and went to a meeting place where we were to meet a guide who was to give us tickets to Doges palace. We waited 10 minutes and then the guide was missing a ticket for one member in the group so we waited another 10 minutes for that ticket. Then after the Doges palace, the guide pointed to a direction where we were to meet the next guide to take us to the gondola ride. We never would have found the meeting place on our own. It was a 15 minute walk with a bunch of turns. One of the other tour members somehow got us to the right spot. Then we had a great gondola tour guide who had to repeat everything he said in English and Italian. We only had his attention 50% of the tine. Then we had 2 hours free before meeting for the Murano and Birano part of thee trip. It was at this time, that we found out the tour ended at 6:30, two and a hal hours after I was told that morning. So we went to Murano and had to take a public boat back to San Marco to make our dinner plans. I must say that in the two week vacation we had about 12 tours and this was the only one we did not enjoy. In fact the Viator tour in Rome was wonderful. This company needs to overhaul this tour. It should be split so one guide is assigned to a group for the entire tour. Not 3 separate guides. It does not work .

Amazing views and a nice and friendly tour guide made this a short but sweet experience that I’d recommend if you want to see Venice on a budget

We has a tour of the Basilica, the Doce palace and St Marks square. Lucia (our tour guide) was so knowledgeable, well organised and awesome. She answered our questions and spoke perfect English with a very nice Italian accent. We had a great time.

A 5min stroll with Beatrix who told us some interesting new info about Venice. Then onto the gondola. One other couple joined us and we had about 30mins doing a loop. As a bonus we did a really interesting 10min virtual reality experience giving a great insight to Venice in the 17th and 18th century. Great value and very enjoyable

Beatrice was very informative and cheerful her English was great as well. if you have her as your guide you are going to have an experience worth your money
