We enjoyed a relaxing evening sampling different wines, spritzers and cicchetti at various little bacari. It was a fun experience but not that filling. We were still a little hungry at the end but it was great to eat at quiet places away from the crowds.

We had an absolutely amazing time touring Venice and tasting the local cuisine. Can’t recommend it enough for those who want to get out of the touristy areas
Great Tour, also in perfect german language. Funny, interesting and with many little stories about Venice and its history. We also found a lot of hidden places offside San Marco & the tourists.
Great tour! It was a fantastic way to get off the beaten path and try some more authentic Venetian foods and drinks that I wouldn’t necessarily have tried on my own (but liked!). Our guide was awesome and even provided a few great restaurant recs that were the best meals we had on our trip! I’d highly recommend—just make sure to read the fine print—not all drinks at each stop are included, which was fine but I’d glossed over when I booked.
Valerio's tour was amazing, We booked with him for the first night we arrived in Venice so that we could be shown the Hiden gems of the city that you wouldn't normally find as a tourist. Valerio was chatty, personable and spoken fluent English which made it easy to ask questions when walking around the winding side streets. This combined with his outstanding knowledge of venitian history made the tour both interesting and enjoyable. Before meeting, he messaged and arranged a spot to meet along with providing a list of restaurants that he would recommend within the city. During our tour he even phoned and booked at his number one recommendation for us which we have eaten at this evening. The restaurant was outstanding, tucked away in a secluded courtyard its certainly something that we couldn't have located without his recommendation. I will be passing his details to any family or friends that come to visit this beautiful city and would recommend Valerio to anyone!
Adair was a great host, she took us to three places all a fair distance from each other which was really cool because we got a mini tour of Venice in a sense and were able to ask all the questions that came to mind as we strolled. The variety of appetizers were delicious! Tour guide is very social and fun to be around.
I had a mixology class with Valerio back in May, as a birthday present for my wife. It was amazing, and it positively affected my entire summer. I now did it two more times, with friends and business associates. Each time, Valerio‘s bright personality, knowledge and warmth shines through. He makes a simple class on how to make an Aperol spritz and a virtual tour of the area feel like yoga re there with him. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
Valerio introduced me to the drinks, cichetti and best baccaro venues around Cannaregio. It was a real "locals" experience - and I got to try all sorts of delicious, authentic Venetian food. I found it a very memorable and enjoyable experience - the ambiance of sitting next to a canal in the moonlight with an aperitivo seemed to capture what was special about Venice perfectly. Valerio also offered me guidance and recommendations for other places to eat and visit while in Venice - he's great company and incredibly helpful and it made a huge difference to my overall experience. Would definitely recommend - and I would go back to all the places we went without hesitation.
Valerio was perfect company to guide us around and show us hidden treasures of Cannaregio. He even sent us lots of recommendations for the upcoming days in Venice and we could contact him with questions. Really, such a great guy! The drinks and snacks have been full size, so great value for money. All in all a perfect startete our holiday.
My husband and I were supposed to be in Italy in June, but with the pandemic, that is of course not happening. We were looking for ways to still enjoy some of the Italian culture while also supporting some of the virtual offerings that tour companies were offering. And we found this cocktail class with Valerio. It was so much fun! We had had an Aperol Spritz before, but it was fun to learn the culture behind it, and try a couple other Italian cocktails (with Campari and Cynar). It was a fun way to spend the afternoon. Thank you Valerio! He was a great mixologist, and even showed us part of the canal near his house in Murano.
Wishing you could journey to Venice to enjoy the ambiance of local Venice while getting some Venetian history and all with a knowledgeable host and guide? Well skip the long flight and hop aboard for a most enjoyable journey (think Zoom). Lasts about an hour, and for us certainly helped with this whole 'stay at home' thing.
Very personable and knowledgeable. Enjoyed learning some history of what we were drinking! Like visiting Murano without the jetlag
Valerio was excellent. Cocktails were great. Informative, engaging and entertaining. Could not have been better. Grazia!
Who would have thought it? We have the Austrians to thank for the Spritz. You gain insights like this when you go bar-hopping with Valerio. A really enjoyable tour. Seven of us went from Canareggio to the Rialto Bridge and gathered impressions of the diversity of Venice. Of course, every aperitivo has its story and there is something to tell about every cicchetto. Valerio speaks perfect German and English and is an absolute Venice insider. Highly recommended.
2 hours and not enough with Valerio because he has so many things and stories to recount. And very very funny. It was the second time with him and certainly not the last.
Fantastic! Valerio knows how to give a slightly different impression of this great city - away from the tourist routes. You get an impression of how the Venetians live and Valerio gives lots of little details about the city. We went to different bars - each one unique and with lots of flair! Of course we tried cicchetti and got lots of tips for bars and restaurants! If you are visiting Venice for the first time, you are in great hands with Valerio, but we can also highly recommend his tours to those who have been there several times! It's worth it!
This personal tour can really only be recommended! We were allowed to spend a nice evening with Valerio as a whole family with delicious aperitites and small snacks. On the way to the beautiful little bars that we would not have found on our own, Valerio told us a few details about the beautiful city of Venice. The mood was super casual and insanely humorous. As a small highlight we also crossed Donna Leon personally on our tour. Thank you for the lovely experience! I would love to come back:)
We had a very individual and not typical tourist guide. It took place even though we were probably the only participants because of bad weather announcement. Thanks again for Valerio.
It was just great to stroll with Valerio through the little alleys. His stories, good food and drink were added. We've been able to visit places we wouldn't have found otherwise. Highly recommended.
We had a very special day with Valerio, he showed us a lot and told us about Murano and Venice. It was very nice to be shown the island by a Venetian!! Can only recommend it:D
The afternoon tour of the bacari of Venice under the guidance of Valerio is a must try among the Venetian experiences. In addition to his mastery in choosing the premises and the route, accomplices friends, a charming Venice and the sympathy of the hosts met. Do it again!
Valerio is a perfect host, he immediately put us at ease with his sympathy. It led us to discover corners of Venice that we did not know and entertained us by telling traditions, stories and legends. Highly recommended!!!
This is the real Venetian tour that lets you discover where Venetians go for the aperitif and much more!
Exciting to be able to go to bacari as only Venetians do .. in the right and authentic places. You eat super cicchetti (cod, sardines in saor, sorpressa ..) and drink typical spritz or very good wines. Experience with friends!
Dear Valerio It was great how you introduced us to the Venetian drinks and then Murano. You gave us a great break, like we went on a little trip.
We had a great time with Valerio in the evening. In addition to delicious Cicchetti, Spritz & Prosecco, we were able to discover atmospheric places. Valerio also had interesting information for Venice connoisseurs. In addition, we got valuable tips for the next few days.
We did the tour with Genny and all expectations were met. She is very nice and between a hidden taste and the other gave us interesting information about the city. Thanks Genny, see you next time!
I recommend this Tour to everyone! We tasted the famous Venetian Spritz in breathtaking locations. Valerio was an excellent guide, he showed us unique places in Venice and away from tourist crowds. It was a pleasure to walk around Venice with a local who knows the city well.
