21 people in our group and our tour guide didn’t do a very good job explaining the history, buildings or bridges we walked by, she could have done better. Radios didn’t work, so it was hard to hear and 4/5 places we ate at where to small to handle a group of 10, let alone 21.

Anna did a wonderful job giving us history of the island and the food, in addition to the traditional way of life in venis. We experienced a variety of dishes all very good! Thanks Anna
Our tour guide Ana was very knowledgeable and professional. Her explanations were easy to follow. We loved the experience.
Vanessa was an excellent food tour guide. She was easy to understand, very informative and helpful. We really enjoyed our tour with her and would highly recommend her!🙂
The ad pictures do not describe the tour nor the food. Although, it was an opportunity to try foods I would not normally try, we only had 3 different hors'devour type stops and 1 gelato stop. We did more walking than sampling food.
Lovely guide and we were quite a small group. Would have been nice if we'd all introduced ourselves to the group at the start of the tour. Thought the ciccetti were nice but had nicer the day before. You had to buy drinks on top so worth knowing beforehand. We'd done a similar tour a couple of years ago and it was much dearer so should have guessed. Another difference was that on the previous tour we sat down at each venue to eat. We were notified earlier in the day that the time of the tour had been brought forward by half an hour to 4.30 p.m. This did mean we had a bit of a rush to get there on time. especially it said if you were 5 minutes late the tour would leave without you and you wouldn't be able to join it !
This is a relaxing way to see various parts of Venice and get information on the history, architecture and local food. Our tour guide (Vanessa: aka Venice) a resident of 20 years, married to a local, was very casual and engaging. She included everyone in the conversation and experience.
Great little your and our guide was awesome. Thete were 5 stops. Variety of options if you habe dietary restrictions. Come hungry!!
Great local food. Kid friendly- options with food preferences. Knowledgable guide. Plentiful food- go hungry.
Great experience overall. Our guide, Elizabeth, was amazing. We loved learning about the history of the food, and Elizabeth was keen on ensuring we tried food actual Venetian locals eat and love. Would recommend to any traveler of Venezia!
Our guide was knowledge and friendly. The diversity of food options and venues was great! I was 100% recommend!
We really enjoyed the tour with Ana, our guide. She was very knowledgeable about venetian food culture and made the tour good fun. The food was all delicious and we loved the Ombre 😁. The size of the tastings suprised us as they were all pretty big, so we were quite full by the end of the tour. As the tour was called "Venetian ciccheti food tasting and sightseeing tour" I did expect to see some of the key sights, however the only sight was the Realto bridge. So if you're looking for a tour that takes in some sights, this is not the tour for you. However it was fun and delicious and Ana was awesome.
Elizabeth was an amazing guide! We loved the tour! The food was the perfect mix of delicious & adventurous authentic food. It was our favorite part of our time in Venice!
Excellent tour of Venice with wonderful food to top it off. Our guide, Tone, was fantastic - very friendly, knowledgeable, and set the right pace for our group which included all age ranges (some with walking issues). Highly recommend.
Tone had interesting stories about the history and about the small establishments we visited throughout the food tour. We tried several variaties of Cicchetti. Our knowledge of the streets and history grew tremendously.
Ana the guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, taking us to some interesting food places and introducing and explaining the local cuisine and culture. It was a great experience and the time flew by.
Terrible! The host never gave any directions as to how to get to the meeting place. It’s hard to manage through the tiny pathways in Venice and difficult to find specific tiny establishments. He was not helpful at all and angry that we never found the food tour. We tried asking over and over for directions because Venice paths are very hard to navigate. We walked with difficulty for 90 minutes and never found the tour. I told him we were lost but he never gave directions of how to get there. I did not get a refund.
Denys gave us a nice tour of the San Polo district. He was friendly and easy to understand and full of information. We tasted a variety of cicchetti. There were good local traditional fish options as well as some with meat or cheese. I would have liked more samples and even more history/cultural info. We had lots of fun and I would recommend this tour.
Great tour of Venice and all the food was delicious to try the guide sherelle was excellent and made the tour with great knowledge of the city and its food
Vanessa is fantastic. She is energetic and knowledgeable. She communicates well and is always monitoring her group for their enjoyment
Really interesting and tasty food tour of Venice. Our guide was really knowledgeable and shared her enthusiasm for her cuisine with us. Lots of interesting history thrown in too. Highly recommended.
Very interesting and learned a lot as well as eating a range of wonderful food. Could have gone a little quicker at the start as we over-ran and it was quite tiring. But great tour overall.
The Venetian Cicchetti Street Food and Walking Tour was an excellent introduction to Venice and Cicchetti. Our guide, Anna, was provided a lot of information about the history of Venice as she navigated us through interesting areas. Anna also introduced our group to a variety of Cichetti and was attentive to people’s likes, dislikes and allergies. I highly recommend this tour. You are dure to learn a lot!
Vanessa was wonderful! We were traveling with two families and she was very flexible and knowledgeable.
Vanessa was great tour guide. All her explanations were concise and spot on. Enjoyed her view of Venetian history and culture.
We loved this tour - Denys obviously took a lot of time in planning to make sure we could try a variety of foods and get to know the local area and cuisine. We also really appreciated his humor throughout the tour, and despite the rain he kept us in great spirits! Not to mention he found us the best gelato ever! Absolutely recommend this tour!
Excellent tour. Anna was a great guide. The food was delicious and served by lovely people. It was a very interesting walking tour and helped us find our way round Venice, and very good value for money. I would definitely recommend the tour. You won't need to eat again until the evening!
Great tour. Tone was a lovely tour guide, friendly and knowledgeable. We started by the Rialto bridge with a little pastry and a brief introdution to eating in Venice. We visited half a dozen venues and the Rialto market. We particularly enjoyed the oldest wine shop in Venice which had great character. There were a variety of fish meat and veggie options to try and tips for making the most of Venice's street food. The small group allowed us all to chat freely and that evening we made it back to some of our favourite venues. Definitely recommend.
Food was amazing and our guide Tone was very friendly. He gave us lots of useful information about Venice and the food.
Needle our guide was wonderful. The places she took us to were so versatile. Food was great. A good mix of what is available in Venice
Great food and tour of the area to stops I would not have otherwise seen. We were full and it went by quickly.
Great experience with delicious food. Vanessa did an amazing job sharing unique insights to the food of Venice.
We did not enjoy the tour at all. There was so many people that it was hard to hear or be close to the guide. The food at each stop was mediocre. We also had to stand in the alley each time while the guide went into places to retrieve the food. It was not fun or enjoyable in any way. We left before the last stop because we were hungry and went to get an actual good dinner elsewhere.
Great hostess, very knowledgable.Well worth the money as we visited top places for Cicchetti.I enjoyed the experience very much
Vanessa, oh sweet Vanessa! She was so wonderful with such warm personality and humor (I kind of hesitated crossing honest woman bridge lol). My favorite part of the tour was the stops only at local Venetian owned establishments. I now have to search NYC for sfogliatina! Our group overall was such a breath of fresh air and I thank Vanessa for helping us, strangers, break the ice with ease. 100/10!!! Will absolutely recommend!
Great guide, very informative and interesting tour. I'd advise to go as soon as you can on your holiday as you get lots of hints and tips on price/quality of foods.
Nela was a great, friendly and informative tour guide. Took the group on a food, walking and seafood market tour of Campo san Bortolomio and Mercato di Rialto areas sampling various types of Venetian foods including cicchetti and polette. Definitely recommended excursion.
Nelle was very socialable and well informed guide. She kept the group together and did not wear anyone out. She stayed out of the majority of street crowds and gave directions for guests to go to other Campos after the tour completed.
Really enjoyed the tour, got to try several local specialities and was great to end with local produced gelato! Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable!
Our guide was so wonderful, we learned so much. She was energetic and helpful. Her description and knowledge 9f the food choices where spot on!
We had a fantastic time wandering around Venice munching on Cicchetti and sipping fabulous wine and spritzes. We learned about all the specialties of Venice (polenta, squid, artichokes - different than Rome, Cynar, and Select). Our guide was a wealth of information and is enthusiastic about answering any questions (she told me a story about the ancient, 3-liter brass jugs decorating the ceiling of one of our wine stops - they were given to each family as their water allocation each day). I was trying to find a vegetarian-friendly restaurant to take some folks to that evening, and she shared a restaurant guide with me that she had made with lots of recommendations based on diets.
The Viator tour with Anna was everything you want from a food tour. Little, out of the way places (not another food tour group in sight!) And a humorous, fun, highly knowledgeable guide. The polar opposite of a food tour we did in Rome, where we waited outside touristy places for one group to leave, while yet another group waited to enter after us. Highly recommended.
A really interesting tour with an enthusiastic guide! It's always great to discover a place through its food!
Very nice afternoon tour with Neela in San Polo and Dorsoduro. I was a bit concerned if there would be enough to eat, but there was. Drinks are not included, but there were two stops where it was possible to buy drinks with very reasonable prices. This was my 25th food tour and I give my stamp of approval!
Claire was so lovely and a fantastic guide. I thoroughly enjoyed touring on our first morning in Venice, and it's a great way to get to know local food and meet some lovely people from all nationalities. Great value for money too, highly recommend
The tour was great, trying a variety of local foods and getting to explore different areas of Venice.
The guide took us to 5 different places and all of them were unique with amazing food. We tried food that if it weren’t for the tour we would never tried it. If you go to Venice make this tour a top priority. 10/10 would recommend.
Great experience, great tour, great food. Would recommend to any visiting Venice for the first time.
This was a really fun and informative tour. Our guide Ana was great! It's a excellent way to learn about Venice from both a cultural and quotidien standpoint. The food was interesting, varied (some sweet, some savory), and very good.
Danis from Venice was great! Very smart and knowledgeable. He was very impressive and the option to buy your own drinks were great!
