Itinerary
Enter St. Mark’s Basilica with a timed-entry ticket and follow your guide inside one of Venice’s most important churches. See golden mosaics and learn how relics, art, and politics shaped this Byzantine landmark.
Continue into the Doge’s Palace with a timed-entry ticket and guided tour. Walk through grand halls filled with Renaissance art, climb the Golden Staircase, and cross the Bridge of Sighs as your guide explains Venice’s former seat of political power.
Next, board a shared gondola for a 30-minute sightseeing ride through Venice’s canals. Pass under historic bridges and along centuries-old buildings while a professional gondolier operates the boat.
Then, enjoy a quick lunch break near St. Mark’s Square. Lunch is at your own expense, and your guide can offer a local recommendation in the area.
Meet your afternoon tour leader and board a private boat reserved for the group. Cross the Venetian Lagoon toward Murano, with views of the Venice skyline as the city drifts behind you. Arrive on Murano, an island known for its glassmaking heritage. Visit a working studio for a glassblowing demonstration, then enjoy free time to shop for Murano glass or walk through town before your next stop.
Continue by boat to Burano, known for painted houses and lacemaking traditions. Watch a lacemaking demonstration with local artisans, then enjoy free time for photos and exploring the island streets. Ride the private boat back to Venice as your full-day tour winds down. The tour ends near St. Mark’s Square, about two blocks from the Doge’s Palace, at the same place where the Murano and Burano boat departs.

Reviews
Guides were excellent, check in was smooth. Only complaint was that two of the stops seemed like mostly sales pitches.
We loved the Burano-Murano tour guide, so enthusiastic. We also loved trip to Burano, a must see for any trip to Venice.
Great tour and knowledgeable guide.
Julia was very informative and helpful. We had a relaxed time. Well coordinated.
The value of the trip depends on the guide. We had 2 different guides in one day! On the am trip to Murano, the guide was not very interesting . She offered very little information about the history of Venice or the area in general. Our afternoon guide to Doge Palace was wonderful! Very informative and knowledgeable!
Amazing experience.. knowledge Guide.. perfect schedule time..
Our guide Alexia was fantastic. She provided wonderful insight, she was timely, which made the experience all the better I would highly recommend.
Great tour! Chiara was a great guide!
We were looking forward to this tour and it did not disappoint. Alessia our guide was easy to find and so friendly with fantastic English as her second language. Our group was approx 20 in size and the earpiece made it easy to follow the guide. We started our day heading out to Murano, then Burano. Luca our water taxi driver made it a very smooth trip. The glassblowing demonstration was captivating, Luciano made it so easy. We marvelled at the creativity on display before heading onto Burano. Sandra, the lace master, was incredible to watch along with her young student Anna. Such beautiful and intricate work. Burano was so much prettier than I expected, delicious food and so many pretty shops to visit. Could have been dangerous if we had more time here $$$! Then back to the starting point for our second half of the tour. Marco our guide took us through St Mark’s Basilica and Doges Palace, sharing his knowledge of history with a lot of fun and jokes included. Expect to walk a lot, a lift is available to avoid some stairs but I’d say people with average fitness would be fine so long as you can do stairs. Unfortunately we had over an hour wait for our gondola ride. Not sure if that is unusual. Many in our group left but we thoroughly enjoyed the 20min ride (wear warm clothes in late October as it was very cool when you’re in amongst the buildings) as the gondola in front of us had a singer and guitarist serenading the couple! Lucky us!!! If it hadn’t been for that unplanned bonus, we would have been quite disappointed due to the wait.
Great experience our guide was very knowledgeable
Loved it. Especially Burano.
Flavia did an outstanding job and she was very personable and upbeat and made the tour very enjoyable
We were in Venice for a day and this was a great way to see a lot of Venice in a short period of time. Lots of memories were made.
This tour operates in two parts. The morning session is with your first guide. Marco was extremely knowledgeable and knew how to fill time while waiting with lots of little interesting facts about the area and architecture. Unfortunately our gondola ride was canceled due to weather and we were issued a refund for that portion of the excursion. The afternoon excursion goes to the islands. Laura was wonderful, very pleasant, and helpful. The Murano stop only allows time for a guided glassworks tour. There was not time to explore the rest of the island. The stop in Burano allowed time to see the lacemaking as well as explore the rest of the island. Our guide, Laura, was kind enough to also help us find our boat to get back to our hotel after the full day excursion.
Very educational! Went at a nice easy pace! Had little time to shop and enjoyed the gondola ride at the end!
We had the guided tour with Flavia C - very friendly and knowledgeable! Made for an amazing day out, definitely recommended!
Flavia was informative & helpful
We had so much fun! Both of our guides were great and very knowledgeable.
Flavia is an amazing tour guide. Knowledgeable and cares deeply. She made it a priprity for us to me comfortable and enjoy our time. 11/10 tour guide
Very interesting tour to Murano & Burano. Our tour-guide was Flavia Costa . Her communication skills were excellent and she went above and beyond with all aspects of the tour. She even gave us many other recommendations not related to the tour. ( Food, entertainment and accomodations.
Rita is an exceptional guide. She read the room and gave us exactly what we wanted. Truly a wealth of information with an excellent pace!
We were a few minutes late and our guide was very understanding!! He was not only knowledgeable but very funny and entertaining!! The second half was a lot of fun but wish we had a little more time on Burano.
Gracia is super knowledgeable and explained Doge's Palace and St Mark's Basilica really well. I would highly recommend this guided tour if you're in Venice.
Good tours of Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Cathedral in the morning. Tour Guide was informative and went at a good pace to accommodate all in the group. Gondola ride was quick, but a good chance to relax for a few minutes and they took us out into the Grand Canal to see the Rialto Bridge. This is split into two tours with a break for lunch on your own in between. Murano/Burano in the afternoon. Glass blowing demonstration on Murano was interesting to see, but the factory they took us to was away from any other stores/shops, so we felt captive to their company store. Not much time for exploring other options there. Burano on the other hand had a quick lace making demonstration, then a little free time to explore and get some gelato or a drink. Tour guide for the afternoon was great and full of information relative to the two islands.
Amazing tour! Just wish we had more time but we will be back!
Don’t skip this tour! It’s a great way to maximize your time in Venice and see and hear about its rich history. The tour guides are great and well organized. Don’t do Doge’s palace on your own - you’ll miss so much!
Murano glass blowing technique is interesting. In Burano, the colored houses are nice. There a lots of cafes where you can sit, biscuits you can buy to take home, and if you like hand embroidered laces, there are lots you can buy to support the locals
The tour guides were spectacular! They’re knowledgeable of the area and history was in depth. Time flew by, especially on Burano island! Highly recommend this tour!
Faviola and Philip were very friendly and informative. It was a very good tour and would highly recommend.
Excellent guides! Great time was had by all on the tour. Very informative. Would recommend if you are in the area.
Very well organized - Giovanna morning guide and Gaia afternoon guide were excellent. Knowledgeable, excellent English speakers, very pleasant.
It was a great day! Marco & Gaia our guides were both amazing!
Great four great weather great views
Very knowledgeable and friendly guides. They were very detailed and made sure all questions were answered.
Claudia was excellent! We loved our visit to Murano and Burano!
Phillip did a fantastic job!!! Highly recommend
It was really good and informative
Awesome awesome!!!! Our tour guide Alissa was the best!!! Thank you so much!!
The glass blowing in Murano was unbelievable the craftsmanship and dexterity to create the art is amazing. Love the colours and markets on Burano and the lace demo was on par with the skills of the glass craftsmanship. San Marco and the Place again amazing the opulence of the Catholic Church and the Nobles of Venice is mind blowing. Both our guides where polite helpful and knowledgeable
Loved it. Great view of Venice. Guide was very well run. Glass blowing was cool but it was an sales pitch. Liked the pace of the guide.
Olympia was fantastic. She had great information and great stories. I enjoyed the legend of the creation of lace story with the mermaid. Would definitely recommend.
Francesca was an excellent guide and answered all questions. Wonderful afternoon spent with Francesca.
Excellent tour. Loved Burano. Gaia was a great guide. She gave great information and suggestions
Flavia and Marco were amazing. We had such a great time exploring an incredible city! Burano was our favorite!
Tour was very worth it if you are short on time in Venice. Saw all of the main sites in one day with free time built in. Learned a lot about history. Guides were very knowledgeable.

Interesting information about Murano glass making with time to shop. Burano lace is beautiful and the island is very charming!
Claudia was amazing and very informative. She was so friendly and made me feel included in the tour even though I was the only one travelling solo
