St Mark’s Basilica & Doge’s Palace Skip The Line - Semi-private

We had a great time on our tour. Roko was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He gave us enough information to feel familiar with the subject matter but didn’t overwhelm us. I’d highly recommend this tour and, especially, Roko!

Our guide Ketty was excellent. She was the combination of a history and art expert. She pointed out the symbolism in the architecture and art works. The location for the meeting place was very specific and it was easy to locate the start of the tour. As a bonus, Ketty had laminated photos to show important landmarks in the area which provided context for the location of Venice and St. Mark's.

Enrico was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Highly recommend him.

Our tour guide Ketty was phenomenal!!! (and I’ve never used that word in a review) Her knowledge of both history and her enthusiasm for the art we saw, and how intertwined they were make the tour so very special. We learned so very much about Venice history right from the beginning, as she then walked us through Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica. A great tour - I would have loved listening to her all day!

Giada was a wonderful guide. She was passionate about her work and it was obvious to us that she really knew about and liked what she was doing. She was kind and considerate as well giving us a rest to sit ,and not rush us through the experience

Enricho was our knowledgeable and fantastic tour guide. A couple of others were supposed to join our group of 4. However, they cancelled and we ended up with a private tour. Enricho did a beautiful job of sharing his love of Doge’s Palace and St Mark’s. We came away so much educated but also loved his stories which really brought the experience to life! Such a great 2 1/2 hour tour. Time and money extremely well spent. We highly recommend this tour and Enricho!

On October 16th 2025, i took a St Mark’s basilica and Doga’s palace tour. The guide prepared many visual aids and explained throughly. She offered to take photos. It was very informative. Venice is very unique and one of the most beautiful places in the world with exciting history.

Ketty was an excellent guide--smart, energetic, thoughtful, knowledgeable. The history lesson provided a very meaningful context for the architecture, the symbols, the political-legal-economic practices, and the dramatic forms. She also procured use of the elevator a couple of times because I was using a crutch. My only complaint was that, despite what Ketty said, I was not allowed to reenter later in the day as I was hoping to view the world's largest o/c painting ever, by Tintoretto. The gatekeeper eyed my ticket and said, "No, just one time." Sigh.

Guide was there on time. Was very knowledgeable, personable and fun.

Monica was well versed in the history of Venice. The Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s cathedral were awesome! I would recommend Monica if you can choose your guide

Roko, our guide, was a talented story teller and knowledgeable about all things Venice. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. He was considerate of everyone in our group, arranged for rest time and even provided secret special seating in the largest room of the Ducal Palace. I highly recommend this tour.

I had a captivating experience with Babylon Tours in Venice! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, weaving educational tales about the city's art and history that truly brought its rich culture to life. Just having the two of us and Roko ( our guide) made it very personal and meaningful, not just another tourist experience. We left with a deeper appreciation for this unique city, and I can't recommend Babylon Tours enough for anyone looking to create lasting memories!

This was an amazing tour with our fabulous guide, Ketty Z. She was very polished and professional but also very fun! Her extensive knowledge of Venetian history was very impressive and she truly seemed to enjoy sharing her passion for her beloved Venice with us. She also recommended some great restaurants and hooked us up (in a pinch!) with a very professional transportation group.

The church and dodge visits are a must do, the guide we had was super smart about all the history but very bad at managing her time. So much so we missed the church entrance time and spent most of time in the dodge

This tour was absolutely wonderful! Our guide, Orsola was very knowledgeable and kind. Her English was great and very easy to understand. I would give the tour a 10+. Highly recommended!!

We booked through Babylon tours and it was a great experience. Due to last moment changes in church schedule our tour got pushed by 30 mins and the tour company reached out to me several times to offer a private tour with a guide.Our guide Roko was very patient and nice. He explained all parts of Bassilica and Doge palace very well. He was very friendly and helped with taking our family pics on our request. Very interesting tour and our guide was very knowledgeable. Lots of stairs and hot during the summer but definitely worth going.

We spent almost a month traveling from Athens, cruising to various Greek Islands, Croatia Islands, Slovenia and Italy. We had many tour guides during our travels, this is the first time we used Babylon Tours. We reserved an early morning slot and got lucky as we were the two for the morning tour. We were also fortunate to be paired with the most professional, easy to understand and knowledgeable tour guide. You must ask for Federico! He contacted us the morning of the tour to be sure we confirmed the meeting location and sent his photo. He was on-time and kept the information following without overwhelming us.

The semi private tour and skip the line option was perfect for us. We lucked out that there were only two other people in our group so it felt almost like a private. Therefore, there was no need to use a headset. Enrico was very knowledgeable very engaging and very friendly. Highly recommend a tour with Enrico.

My husband and I had a wonderful time touring St Marks and Doge’s palace with Enrico today. We felt like we saw all the highlights of the two attractions. Not only were they jaw dropping to see, but even more so to learn the history of. Our tour guide Enrico was sooooo knowledgeable. He had so much information to share and you can tell he really knows his stuff. There was not a question he didn’t know the answer to. My husband said word for word to me on the tour that he “could not ask for anyone better”. The buildings themselves are absolutely worth seeing but made even better by our fabulous tour guide.

Our guide, MariaLaura was excellent. She was knowledgeable and very engaging. Despite a miserable amount of people at the time and day we went, she made the best of the situation. My suggestion would be to research and find the best time of day to visit. Perhaps first thing in the morning or at the end of the day.

Mary is by far the most excellent tour guide. We took 14 tours in seven days and she was the best. Her commentary kept high school students, college students, and a middle school history teacher (all my grandkids) completely engrossed and enamored of the tour.
