Roko was wonderful. You can tell he loved his job and passionate about the history. He was very polite, kind and diligent to make sure we were all together and comfortable. It was a very hot this day and a lot of walking and going up and down stairs. We were able to stay well hydrated and had access to restrooms. We learned a lot and loved the tour

Our tour guide Kerry was great and provided a lot of information throughout. She is very knowledgeable. She made the tour of the palace interesting by engaging us with questions. The start point of the tour could’ve been described better - either share a photo of where exactly it starts or emphasize that it is right outside the Rolex shop near the base of the tower. It was a bit hard at the beginning for all of us to find Ketty.

Ketty was extremely knowledgeable and the tour was amazing! There were only 4 of us and she went out of her way to show us the important aspects of the Basilica and Doges Palace. She was funny and very engaging.

This tour was an absolute highlight, and our guide, Marialaura, was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and provided us with an amazing experience of both St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace. It was a small group tour, so we didn't even need earpieces. She ensured that the six of us could hear her everywhere we went. My family and I were so lucky to have Marialaura as our guide for St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history and architecture of Venice and told us some wonderful stories about St Mark's and some of the legends and superstitions of the city. We also enjoyed hearing about present day Venice and Marialaura gave us a lunch recommendation that was without question the best meal of our vacation. If you have an opportunity to book a tour with Marialaura you will not be disappointed.
We really liked our tour guide Roko C because he didn't try and hit everything but pointed out really interesting things and had great stories. He was also flexible and accommodated our needs to stop.
Our guide Marialaura was exceptional. Her knowledge and passion in speaking about St. Mark's & The Doge's Palace held our attention like we were listening to a storybook. She managed to describe history in detail and keep it interesting. Her sweet personality made us feel like friends. My husband & I have an Italian last name that no one can pronounce in the States. She took a sml video with me saying it in 'real' Italian so I could post on social media. She also spoke to (& taught) us a lot about our heritage. After our tour, she made some gift reccos for us to take back home & sent us links to local restaurants. She really went above & beyond. Venice has been a bucket list item for years. We were finally able to go and what an experience! It was everything we dreamed it would be and more. The absolute highlight was the semi-private, skip-the-line tour with Marialaura. She was an absolute gem and made the tour totally worth every cent. She is exceptionally well qualified, knowledgeable, friendly, easy to understand (she spoke EXCELLENT English), and knew all of the pathways to avoid long wait lines. She was a total fountain of knowledge and information. She kept our small group at a good pace, not too fast, not too slow, and even though it was a comprehensive 3 1/2 hour tour, the time absolutely flew. I came away with a head full of new knowledge and appreciation for what Venice was and had accomplished over the centuries. And Marialaura was at the center of all that. What a joy to have as a guide!
Federico did an excellent job telling us the history of the region and explaining the Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica. The Basilica is absolutely stunning. We would request Federico again as a guide and recommend him to others.

If you don't want very big groups, a guide with a flag on a pole and commentary via audio headset, choose Babylon. The semi-private / small group tours are personal and an excellent value. The guides are very knowledgeable and informative and easy to understand. Maria Laura was very friendly and helpful, sharing restaurant recommendations after the tour. We participated in the walking tour of the city (just 2 people total in the group) and the St. Mark's Basilica tour (7 people total in the group.) Excellent experience.

Excellent tour, very knowledgeable guide who was very helpful in covering a lot of material in relatively short amount of time. The skip-the-line feature was very handy as even in the off season on a rainy day there were long lines.
