Shared Gondola Ride With Bridge Of Sighs Views

No dialog, gondoliars just spoke Italian to the other gondoliars with all englisg speaking passengers. Didnt point out a thing. Almost fell getting on, did not tell us where to step when the Gondola is rocking. Did not meet my expectations at all.

Very nice ride around the canals of Venice. Going under the Bridge of Sighs was beautiful. Well organized. Highly recommended

Avoid this company like the plague, they sell a "gondola ride to bridge of sighs" but then they don't take you there (according to past reviews I'm not the first), so when I went back to the office first Louisa says she's not sure why we didn't go, offers me a later tour (I couldn't make it), anyway then they claim high tides when I have timestamped photo and video proof of gondolas going through there all day, they clearly are used to scamming tourists, they started joking to each other in Italian, they said request a refund through the app, then proceeded to deny all the refund claims, Viator wasn't good in this process, they sided with these scam artists every time, so I resorted to my credit card company to get my money back successfully, I hope viator has some sense when there is more than one review for a company like this that they stop allowing them on their apps, lots of time lost in this process, I won't get the time back, but learn from my review and avoid these people seriously!

The basilica was wonderful, but the tour was not great. We paid for someone to walk us to the basilica. We were told she would be available to help but as soon as she got us to the basilica she left. We arrived at the gate, she escorted us through the gate and said, “do the palace and museum on your own.” Then we didn’t see her again.

Arrived in time, no one was there. Viator refuses to give a refund. We weren’t the only ones. Another family arrived shortly after us with the same reservation. Beware!

Very nice tour. We were not able to sit on the “sofa” part of the gondola since it was a shared ride, but it was a great experience.

Only about 20-25 minutes. No singing or talking. Not what I experienced in the last visit, not very memorable.

Nice peaceful gondola ride. Not too short and not too long. Plenty of beautiful views. If you want to be entertained by the gondolier you may want to take a different tour.

We booked through Viator for a Gondala trip under the bridge of sighs, the ride took us out into the harbor, under 3-4 small bridges, they turned around and came back to where we started. It was a total waste of money. We went nowhere near the bridge of sighs. We went back to the office where we were told to meet up to ask why and they said to contact Viator, it was the guide who was wrong. Our booking clearly said Gondala ride under the bridge of sighs. Very unhelpful. You do not need to prebook a ride there are lots of Gondalas available.

The gondola driver clearly was very experienced and it was magical to watch. The ride itself was fabulous, and gorgeous way to see Venice from the water.

It’s a scam you will never make it to the gondola ride because the booth to get the ticket has permanently closed, there is no other way to get on the gondola without a voucher. We asked several people, after multiple attempts of finding an alternate option was told there was nothing we could do. It was cancelled and when we called for assistance to viator we were basically told “Oh Well” by a very rude customer service representative. So long story short we never made it on the boat. The one thing I was looking most forward to when visiting Venice. No refund was issued, we have pictures of the closed booth. It was extremely frustrating and I would never recommend this service to anyone .

Great experience, gondola holding up to 5 people, nice tour of the canals, worth it, nice seeing the city from a different perspective. The agility of the gent’s manoeuvring the gondola is exceptional.

Booking a shared gondola at a specific time was definitely the way to go for us. The land staff were very nice. There is one “snuggle seat for 2” and 3 other chairs . Bear in mind that this is a very popular activity which felt a lot like It’s a Small World at Disneyworld. You line up, staff shuffles you into the gondola, you ride bumper to bumper with the boat ahead of you etc. it’s a conveyor belt but it would be that way no matter what you paid. Only complaint was the gondolier yelling at other gondoliers complaining about the traffic the entire ride.

Fun! The gondolier shared some facts about the canal and talked about the carnivale! Took pics while in the ride! He also recommended places to look at Venice!

Just a ride, it felt like being in a city traffic jam. 3 gondolas setting off together down a crowded river street. They were yelling and chatting with each other in Italian, but very little guest interaction. Would have at least liked for them to explain where we were boating through. A pamphlet or something.

They stuffed the gondola with 5 heavy guests, it almost tipped over on several occasions. Not good!!!!

Our driver was Thomaso. It was excellent learned a lot about the city and the history. It was an excellent adventure.

SUPER disappointed in this activity - so I'll start off with the fact that it is a little scarier than it seems, you actually load onto the gondola in the lagoon, think ferries, boats, gondolas everywhere and WAVES! eek! so it was me, my friend and my mom - she is 75 but healthy. Getting into the boat was a DROP, no step down, didn't help her and she slammed down and hurt her back - in the meantime she has to sit immediately as the boat will tip. Scary experience and the gondolier was NO help. No idea of his name as i don't think he spoke a lick of English. then we are on, had 2 others on with us so 5 people total, we're spooked after getting in and feeling like we will tip any second; a freaking ferry pulls out in front of us from the water taxi stand and causes waves - well, we learned how to say stupid and a$$hole in Italian from our driver, that's about all we got out of him the entire time. that ferry should NOT have taken off with all the gondolas leaving! wow!! Anyway, once we got into the canal, the gondolier zipped us thorough, passing other boats, etc - never spoke or anything; looped us through and then we were done, it's quick as expected, 30 mins or less. Glad we didnt' pay for a singing guy, although maybe we should have to have had a better experience!? Getting out was better, you are in the canal and there are steps - ummmm, hello, load people here!!! Oh and we were doing the one under the bridge of sighs, if i hadn't taken a tour the night before, i would not have even known what it was since he didn't speak at all - what a bust of a tour!

This was a waste of time and money. 1 of is could not get on the gondola, the other 2 of us 1 has bruised arm from them helping her on . The driver never said one word to us, we had no idea what we were doing or where we going. The operator who we checked in with was rude, more worries anout his card game, and talking with friends. Acted like we were bothering him when we asked anything. This out of the several Tours we have taken is the first I wish we could have a refund

The meeting point was easy to locate. The person who checked us in escorted us to the gondola. He was professional and pleasant. The man who commanded our gondola was extremely rude and unpleasant. He only spoke to us in an angry manner when a guest moved.

The gondola ride is a highlight when coming to Venice. We lived the ride. We we disappointed in the Gondolier. He didn't even greet us as we got in the boat. Not friendly at all.

After arriving at the waiting area, we waited a few minutes for the tour guide to go to the gondola ride designated area. Everything was very organized! Once in the gondola, my friend and I who came to Venice for vacation both said that it was very peaceful and relaxing for the both of us. Riding in the gondola, it was beautiful seeing the city’s architecture and taking in the beauty all around me.

This was a far better ride than I expected, not only passing under the Sights bridge but meandered along the canal back out to the starting position taking some lovely buildings along the way.

Lovely 30 min ride through small canals past Bridge of Sighs (btw great Robin Trower song) Directions were good to meeting point. We were able to book on short notice.

The ride was smooth and the Gondolier was very experienced and it was obvious with how he handled the gondola around corners and when coming up on others. There was no history/discussion/singing like seen in the past. Like almost everywhere nowadays, a lot of the Gondoliers are on their smart phones. A history briefing would have been helpful to complete the experience. The mass amount of people trying to take a Gondola ride made this feel rushed and disconnected from the tour highlights. Thankfully, it wasn’t the summer. All in all, it checks a box. Knowing the history of the Bridge of Sighs prior to this would be helpful to your experience.

We arrived at 10:45 a.m. for gondola experience. Were told to come back at 3 p.m. because gondolas could not travel with water so high. At 3 p.m., we waitied about 20 minutes, then walked with guide to gondola dock. They cancelled the trip at that point due to clouds and fear of rain. I am requesting a refund for this trip. It did not happen. The people were nice...but we did not have the experience.

Worst experienced, I did not have fun at all. I can’t take a picture for a lil bit. Everything is rushed. Not friendly people. I won’t recommend.

Nice relaxing punt in a shared gondola In the evening. Just the thing to cool down after the heat of the Venice streets. Approximately 25 minutes in duration.

The ride was enjoyable and enchanting, My mother who was with me throughly Enjoyed herself. I highly recommend this experience!

I paid for a shared ride and was put in a gondola with just my family. I was very excited about that.

The gondola ride was amazing. I really enjoyed seeing part of the city from the water. The gondalier did not say much and didn’t tell us when to turn the app on to listen to the narrative. The narrative in the app stops working when you swap to camera, so it didn’t really work! We went to find the meeting point the evening before and we could not find it as it had a shutter over the shop front with an ATM sticking through it, so we went back early the next day and it was then obvious. The people running it said they would put a canopy up to stop this happening in future. The guys running the tour shop were great and the actual gondola ride was great. We enjoyed it so much that we booked another ride, but on our own and for an hour.

It was an okay tour. Definitely just a little overrated compared to how they described it. It was less than 1/2 hour and the driver did not interact at all. It also is cheaper if u buy there. I would do once. We had it better in Belgium

Views were great and the ride was so relaxing. Loved seeing the bridge of sighs from the water. However, Guide had absolutno personality.

Too bad the gondolier didn’t say anything the entire trip. Why tip then?? It was crazy at first, traffic jam right after bridge of sighs. Then quiet and peaceful.

I wouldn't advise anyone to do this ride. I ve done it last July. Firstly I found the group with great difficulty. They were so late in their service, that actually gave as less than the programmed ride time. Of course there was no sunset or anything and the whole ride was a joke. They just take your money. Try somewhere else

Nice gondola, we shared with two other people. The ride and scenery was beautiful, although it did say it supposed to be a sunset ride, it wasn’t. We just went around different calle when if it was the sunset time, we wouldn’t be able to see it.

None. Way too many boats. Bumper to bumper the entire way. Not romantic in the least. Wish we had taken another gondola service in a less crowded waterway

Getting on a gondola in Venice is a unique and unique experience. The city is beautiful and on this trip we could observe it from another perspective. We also recognize the expertise required to handle a gondola. What we didn't like is that we didn't have an explanation from the gondolier. We felt that he did the activity in a hurry, without talking about the city, although we tried to ask him a couple of times. He even put her on the phone while we were on the tour. This tour would rise incredibly with an accompaniment of the gondolier.

They charge you the same if you did it as a couple for two people and you buy it here and share the gondola with other people

There was a strike when we arrived in Venice. This is always announced before we were told. So there was no chance to get over to the meeting point due to the absence of a boat. We called and they just said that nothing could be done about it and that the money had burned inside. It was not possible to rebook. Unfriendly staff and will never book anything with Tripadvisor again.

Unforgettable ride with someone unforgettable. The tour through the canals was spectacular and the passage under the famous bridge was also something to remember. I recommend it and above all enjoy it to the fullest.
