This was a fantastic tour and Valerio was fun, engaging, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. We hope to come back to Venice within the next year for another tour with him!

Valerio was very welcoming and explained clearly what we were going to see in four different gardens. He was knowledgeable about the plants and the history of the gardens and he was attentive to the group‘s interests.

A nice tour of four gardens, three of which are not open to the public. A rare look into private gardens in a place where green spaces are often behind closed doors.

Our guide, Valeria, was extremely knowledgeable about the 4 gardens we visited. He was born in Venice so he can answer almost any questions you have. The gardens were all very different but equally as beautiful. If you need a little tranquility while visiting Venice, take this tour!

Valerio is excellent - opened our eyes to the real Venezia and generously shared many other tips regarding restaurants, short cuts, etc … would recommend him for anything Venezia !!!

Our guide, Valerio, was very personable and knowledgeable, and was able to provide access to three private gardens in Cannaregio otherwise closed-off to tourists. Additionally we went to a public park in Santa Croce off the beaten track which provided an interesting counterpoint. There was a reasonable amount of walking involved but we also were taken to some parts of Venice we hadn't previously been. We highly recommend this tour and Valerio.

Valerio is such a charming and friendly guide. He included all participants, interacting with us and combining relevant and interesting facts, entertaining us at the same time. I would definitely do any of his tours again, and recommend him to anyone wanting to learn more about Venice.

The gardens we were shown were unusual for Venice, given the lack of space, but as gardens go, these were not spectacular or lush. One of our party enjoyed a special English-style garden designed to give a sense of being lost in time and space for relaxation from city life, with interesting features. Another garden was quite extensive with vegetables, fruits, herbs, etc. and was well cared for. Valerio, our guide, gave excellent information on the metaphorical meanings of the arrangement of some of the gardens, the religious symbolism, etc. He was knowledgeable about plants, as well as Venetian history and was a personable guide, with a good command of English and German.

This has been my first trip to Venice and has been everything and more than I expected. This was my introduction to a world not seen by everyone behind the walls of some of Venice's most unique gardens. My guide Valerio, was both exceedingly knowledgeable and a wonderful host. From his wonderful anecdote's about the history of these gardens, to his knowledge on all the different flora and forna. I couldn't have wished for anything better.

Excellent way to start our trip in Venice! Our guide was wonderful and provided excellent information. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting an off the beaten path type of tour with a guide who really took the time to be personable with us and make it a wonderful experience.

My two grown sons, daughter-in-law, and I took Valerio's tour of secret gardens. We really enjoyed Valerio as well as the gardens we would never have ha a chance to see. As we walked from place to place, he also told us a number of interesting facts about places we passed. It was a lovely way to spend part of our day.

The garden tour was very informative by Valerio particularly as we were interested in lots of non garden Venice stuff that being a Venice native, Valerio could help us with!

Valerio as a native venitician gave us a very insightful presentation of the north west part of Venice and its history outside the beaten track. We visted 4 gardens where we were able to experience the lush greenery and the serene atmosphere of the town gardens in the area.

Valerio was an excellent guide, who lives locally and clearly knows his stuff, plus he is passionate about sharing his love of this hidden world. We took in several gardens of very different styles, and on the walks between gardens he also provided us with plenty of the history of Venice. Highly recommended.

This was one of our highlights of our trip! If you're from the UK and caught Monty Don's show about Venices "secret gardens" then this tour won't disappoint! A real treat.

This was a fascinating tour into the some Of the secret, walled gardens in Venice. Valerio is extremely knowledgeable and flexible in terms of what guests want to do! He was always accommodating and knew just when to take breaks and suggest great coffee places!

Walking around with Genny feels totally like being on tour with a good friend. She really seems to love her work, her english is brillant and she has a good feeling for individual needs of her guests. We had a great time and later I could still contact her for recommendations of restaurants etc. The gardens are beautiful and she has lots of good stories and legends to tell. Greatly organized, Venice from the inside...

Despite the enormous heat, Valerio guided us through the secret gardens with lots of fun and knowledge. He also provided us with tips and information about Venice. We can only recommend Valerio.

I already knew Valerio from another tour... knowledgeable, charming, and also funny. Unfortunately, I chose the tour in English. For better understanding, I will choose German in the future. I would skip the park. It is not particularly worth seeing. The other three gardens certainly are.

Beautiful hidden gardens in Venice away from the tourist hordes with lots of interesting information on botany and history of Venice.

I recommend this visit if you want to get off the usual paths and want to discover an unusual and secret Venice; I have already visited Venice several times, but at some point I no longer understood where I was because Valerio made us pass in calli and callettes never done so far! Stra recommended!

Es waren 3 Gärten zu sehen, wobei der 3. allen Menschen zugänglich ist, wie es mehrere in Venedig gibt. Schön wäre es noch einen Garten zu sehen dem ein einfacher Venezianer gehört und normal nicht sichtbar ist

It couldn't be better! We have already done several tours through Venice with Valerio and are already looking forward to the next ones! Thanks to Valerio, we fall in love with Venice more every time! Tours are in small groups, Valerio speaks perfect German and is very individual with his guests.
