Itinerary
“The most beautiful road in the world”, this is how the Grand Canal is known as. Gondola serenades have always been part of Venetian culture, an unchanged tradition for an unchageable city. If you look around, what you will see is almost exactly what a nobleman in the 18th century might have looked upon, and before him a Renaissance courtesan and before him a merchant in the Middle Ages.
Once one of 7 major theatres in the city, today the Fenice is Venice’s one and only opera house. It is surely a jewel among European theatres, and began to shine from the beginning, as the best composers of the age wrote and performed their operas here, among which Bellini, Donizetti and Rossini. But it was Giuseppe Verdi who is most attached to the Fenice and to Venetian memory.
The Gritti Palace takes its name from the Gritti family, an old Venetian family, the most important member being Andrea Gritti, who was Doge of Venice in the Renaissance, and led the Venetian armies against the League of Cambrai, composed by France, Spain, Holy Roman who attempted to stop Venice’s expansionist goals in France.
Peggy Guggenheim Collection, one of the most important art collections in the world. Peggy Guggenheim, originally from New York, arrived in Venice in 1949 and began to satisfy art addiction buying this wonderful building where she displayed invaluable artworks to the world. The beautiful terrace you see is where Guggenheim sun-bathed regularly looking onto the Grand Canal.
Here, as you come into the Grand Canal you are opened to the church of the Madonna della Salute. The first thing that strikes a viewer is how imposing the church is, strategically placed at the entrance of the Grand Canal looking out onto the rest of the city in every direction, thanks to its circular shape. Today, ever 21 November the city celebrates the Madonna della Salute in memory of the end of the plague
From your gondola, you will see the basin of St. Mark's and the marvelous bell tower with the base of its incredible square.

Very well organized. ( Veronica )Guide was super knowledgeable & helpful.
Excellent, the Guide is greay and the whole experience was great from start to finish
It was a beautiful Halloween However, the introductory virtual reality show was unnecessary and did not add to the experience.
Elisabetta was an amazing guide! You can tell she really enjoys what she does! The gondola tour was breathtaking and very peaceful. Definitely recommend.
ELISABETTA AUGELLI Was very knowledgeable tour guide she was patient with our questions and very funny 😆. I had a great time learning about the gondola history that made Venice even more special
The guide was so kind and informative. He kept us together and organized. Caring. Happy. It felt fast.
Had a wonderful experience! Would definitely do it again
Honestly would not recommend. Booked a romantic 30 min gondola ride and got 30 minutes of a walking tour moving at a slow pace and then a 25 minute gondola ride with the guy steering talking on his phone the whole time. Def look elsewhere… there’s many other gondola tours.
Very fun and relaxing! Only complaint is that we were unaware of the 30 min presentation before even entering the gondola ride which made it so that we missed the sunset but we did at least get to see the moon!
It was a very good experience. Gondola ride at the end was great.
Friendly knowledgeable guide led us through the streets and explained the history of gondolas in Venice.
Excellent guide of Venice history and smooth peaceful ride. Would recommend to anyone coming to Venice
Veronica is the really active and charismatic person and the gondola ride so meditative 😍
Good tour good value. Only complaint was the address for the meeting place wasn't totally correct from the webpage and needed to ask around. Turns out Google maps had it correct too
This experience is a scam. The guide takes you to a public gondola launch point and puts you into a gondola with another couple. We paid $102 when we booked. Walking up to the gondola launch point yourself would have gotten us a private evening tour for €110, and we wouldn’t have had to wait around for the 20 other people on the tour to arrive before we could be marched over like cattle to the launch point. Because we were with another couple, the seats were uncomfortable and the experience was not romantic. The gondolier was amazing. I absolutely wish we would have walked up to the public launch point and arranged this ourselves. It would have taken two seconds. Would never book with this company again. It’s taking advantage of tourists.
mahalo nui…next, gondola ride…I bet they sing amazing! 🥰 thank you Jesus 🙏🦋
Tour guide excellent explanation of the gondola. Gondola driver had great humour. An excellent run experience. Thank you to the team
Lovely experience! Must-do in Venice
Thank you to Veronica for a great experience and explanation through the entire excursion
Meeting place a little hard to find Be experience was fun Relaxing gondola ride
Overall great experience! Would definitely do again! We went with friends. Very safe.
Wonderful and adorable trip And also is affordable for everyone
Wonderful experience with about a 30 minute background on the gondola history in Venice, then a 30 minute gondola ride just after sunset on a beautiful evening.
Trip was delayed by hour. Was frustrating But when we started the sunset cruise it was magical. Boat was comfortable, boat captain was professional.
the company was so understanding after we arrived late, we got to get into a later tour with rachele, who was great! highly recommend!
Tour is labeled as romantic gondola tour, however, 3 other people were in our gondola. It was a very short ride.
Elizabeth was amazing! Gondola tour was fantastic and was romantic.
This should not be advertised as a romantic gondola ride. Ended up 5 people on 1 boat. At least two people got somewhat romantic padded seats at the end of the boat looking straight . The rest just stuck on a stool sitting sideways . As luck would have it my sister in law who was travelling single booked separately through Viator for just a normal gondola ride and ended up on our boat. Tip - if not peak travel time , which October is not, just find a gondola operator on the canals as they are everywhere and licensed. By the city so it is a set price. Currently 90 euro up until about 6:30pm and 110 after that. 90 euro on conversion worked out exactly what we paid in advance. Valuable lesson learned by me
A peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle!
Great tour, highly recommend. Knowledgeable guide and it was very interesting. Highly recommend this experience. Just be mindful you are sharing the gondola with another couple.
We had a lovely trip with a great gondolier. I had no idea how challenging it would be for him to get us safely under the low bridges.
My group thought that this was just going to be a gondola ride & it ended up first being a virtual reality history lesson, then commentary by a guide via an ear piece. When we finally got onto the gondola, we were crammed in with 2 other people. Five people on that gondola was over-doing it. My group of 3 ended up seated on small, square benches which were hard to deal with as the gondola made its way through the narrow waterways off the Grand canal. My husband & I have been to Venice before & had a pleasant ride previously on a gondola. This time was uncomfortable, to say the least. There are other choices re gondola rides.
Excellent host and very simple process.
I booked the 6 PM gondola ride specifically to enjoy Venice around sunset. Unfortunately, our group was the last to board, at approximately 7 PM, by which time it was already dark. This completely defeated the purpose of choosing that time slot. While I understood that this was a shared gondola experience, the seating felt crowded, making the ride less enjoyable than anticipated. I also noticed that all the Indian guests appeared to have been placed together in the same group. I cannot say whether this was intentional, but it was uncomfortable and left me questioning how guests were allocated. Overall, the experience was underwhelming. Better scheduling, clearer communication about departure times, and more thoughtful passenger grouping would make a significant difference.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and attentive to making sure everyone was kept together and not lost. Had a wonderful time today!
Our tour guide was the next best thing besides the Gondola ride of course! He made the entire experience a lot of fun filled with laughter and an amazing explanation!!
Wonderful experience! Great value. The guide was excellent!
Great experience! Share the gondola with jsut 2 or 3 others, takes an hour and you see small canals and some of the Grand Canal. A little hard to find the meeting place and the first 20 minutes of gondola history is unnecessary - the goggles for interactive time and the walking around tour of nothing, we’ve already walked enough and seems like you’re just moving people around until the gondola is ready. Otherwise it is a great experience in the gondola itself!
Fantastic experiance. Beautiful ride and lots to see
Great ride! Definitely recommend!
Veronica was excellent! She made the story of Venice and Gondola so much fun and interesting! Kept us engaged. Highly recommend!
This was the most amazing side of Venice you don't see on foot
You get to hear the history of Venice and then go on a nice gondola ride. The meeting place was easy to find and had a little walking tour on the way to the gondolas.
Our guide Veronica was very informative. It was an amazing experience and our gondolier even pointed out some cool spots on the ride. Must do experience!
Guides are knowledgeable but the walking between the guided tour and then the gondola having going back to the office and checking in again was ridiculous. Badly organised
Veronica was really fun. I enjoyed the short walk and every fact about venice she told us.
Great experience! The canals were crowded but that’s to be expected. I was solo and had a great time.
We had a wonderful gondola experience! We were lucky to have a personalized session as there were no other guests joining us. Our guide, Alvise, was very friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. He took the time to share interesting stories and information about Venice. We really appreciated his warm hospitality and personal touch. It was such a lovely way to experience Venice. Highly recommended!
The guide was fantastic, explanation was clear and informative 👍🏻
