Rialto Market Food And Wine Lunchtime Tour Of Venice

Wandering the Rialto Market with a knowledgeable guide, sampling fantastic local food and wine along the way, was the perfect introduction to authentic Venetian cuisine. Everything was fresh, the pours were generous, and we left full and happy with great recommendations for the rest of our stay. Five of us went and everyone loved it.

Denys, our guide, made sure everyone was happy with the selection of food provided at each stop. He was the most accommodating guide I have yet to experience. The food stops were very popular. We tried to go back to one for a late lunch and the line was long. Thank you Denys, for your kind, intelligent manner.

Tone was a great tour guide. I was very impressed with his knowledge of the history of Venice. The tour was a nice mix of old and new Venetian spots.

We had an amazing time on this tour! It ended up being just the three of us and our guide, Tone. Sometimes that situation can feel a bit awkward without other guests, but Tone made it incredibly comfortable and it felt like we had our own private tour. He took us to several interesting spots and every portion was a good size and a great introduction into traditional Venetian foods. Each stop also had a taste of wine or spritz. My husband even stepped out of his comfort zone and tried a traditional sardine cicchetti! Along the way, we learned about the history of Venice. Tone was extremely knowledgeable and patiently answered all of our random questions. We finished the tour with some delicious gelato and some great restaurant recommendations for the rest of our stay. Thank you so much, Tone! This was the perfect way to start our trip.

This was the best tour I have participated in my life. Every place we went to get cicchetti were great. Lunch was great. We walked around Venice and the guide was very helpful.

Our tour ended up being cancelled, they contacted us the day before and worked with our schedule to book is on another your which worked out great! We ended up getting lost on the way to the tour meeting spot and they waited for us, I texted them and Martina kept texting me back right away to make sure we made it. She had us meet them at the first stop on the tour. The tour lasted just over 2 hours and we learned about more than just food. We learned about food and wine history in Venice! Denys our guide was Awesome!! I am very picky eater and he got me other options to choose from when we sampling food on our tour, I thought was so nice of him. When we come back to Italy we will definitely book more tours with this company!!!

We were changed to a different tour which worked out better. Our guide Denys was AWESOME. He spoke good English and was very knowledgeable and funny. If we didn't like the option of items being offered he arranged some other item for us to taste. Great time!

We were in a group of six with our guide Dennis. We tried a large variety of food and wines, learned some things about Venice’s history, areas and foods, and had a really fun time!

This trip was cancelled by the organizers because they had no one else booked except me. So very disappointing, I had especially chosen it to commemorate a very special day in my life. I felt they could have run it even if it was for one person .......

Superb overview of Rialto Market! Our original tour was cancelled, so Viator asked if we could do this shorter market tour without drinks instead. Vanessa did a fantastic job and was quite easy to follow and understand. She also wore a bright pink outfit so it was easy to locate her in the groups. The samples were enough for breakfast and lunch, and we could purchase a drink at a few of the stops if we wished.

It was a great tour and our guide Tony was wonderful.. Tony was very informative and had a great personality! Make sure to wear comfortable shoes.And make sure you like seafood.

Tone was an amazing host. He took the time to get to know the group and factored our likes and dislikes into the tour. It was awesome. We were also very filled at the end of the tour!

Denys was our guide. He was extremely helpful with regard to where to go and where to avoid. He helped us with the menu at every place we visited, made recommendations and even ordered for us! It’s a 4 hour tour but it honestly doesn’t feel like it. The time flew by! Great tour- you get a ton of food for the price! Ask for Denys as your guide.

Denys from Venice is awesome! The tour includes a crazy amount of food and wine. It's all fantastic. We got to see parts of Venice we likely wouldn't have seen otherwise, and learned a great deal about Venetian food culture.

Danis was very informative, energetic, and enthusiastic with his knowledge of Venice, he actually lives on the Venetian island, so his information is always up to date. We visited 6 different locations. The food and wine that we sampled were quite unique in flavor. The portions were larger than expected, ands often times, wevwere given extras samples. One location served us a full sized meal. We had the distinction of having Danis as our tour guide again for the Jewish Ghetto. Again same great insight and attention to detail with his informative interactions. Next time we visit, we will be hopeful in having Danis again.

Julia was an excellent guide with very interesting insights. She was friendly and knowledgeable. It was great to learn about the history of Venetian dishes and the history of the Rialto area and the stories behind the food.

Denys from Venice was an amazing guide for this tour. He lives locally in venice and could provide unique perspective and history to our tour. He is really passionate about what he does and made the tour very enjoyable. The food was different from what we were used to eating but we tried it all. This is a great way to spend an afternoon learning about the local spots for Venetians.

I was very happy with how Anna explained very thoroughly every stop and what wine and food we were going to have. She went out of her way to do a substitute item if a person didn’t want the initial item.

We had Denys as our tour guide, and he was lovely! Very knowledgeable and funny and gave us ample time to enjoy ourselves at each stop. Dennis from Venice was an excellent guide to take us on our food and wine tasting tour. We got to experience local food in some out-of-the-ordinary places, and enjoy the wines of Venice, including some ombré following the protocols of our new friends in Venezia. Overall, it was a great experience and a lot of fun. The pastry from our first stop was yummy. And the scallops with the ombré were a highlight.

Our tour with Julia was excelllent. The food was amazing and the places we went to , so great. We were able to taste food that we wouldn’t have tried. We visited the fish market. So cool. We had family with two young children which was the only drawback as they didn’t keep up so we were rushed at most spots and would have loved more time. Julia was the best.

Denys was a fantastic tour guide, we had a lovely small group only 5 of us and we tried some lovely local food and wines it was much better than we had hoped for and we got to try all sorts of lovely local foods
