The group was 7 ladies that travel together. When I choose an experience on our trip it is after a lengthy research and review. Well this one was so worth it! The ladies are still talking about it weeks later. Mossimo promptly met us at the location, interacted with each of us, and was a very charming professional chef. The food, wine, interesting 600+ year old home, and everything was such a delightful experience. So worth the money! I am so happy we chose to spend our evening in Venice with him. ❤️

So grateful that we took part in this unique culinary experience in the 600+ year old home. Massimo made helping him prepare a variety of authentic Italian food so much fun. Eating our creations, while sharing wine and laughter, was the cherry on top. I highly recommend this cooking delight.

The greatest dinner of the trip. Massimo was excellent. Made us feel at home. Managed 10 family members with baking bread, making the cheese filling and making/cutting the pasta for tortellini and ravioli. As well as a salad mix and homemade gelato! Everything was made from scratch. We made everything ourselves and ate it for dinner. We also had great wine, music, italian history lessons, Italian cheese and meats. It was an experience everyone should have traveling to Italy. It was perfection. Great guy, even better chef!

We had a private cooking lesson with Massimo and it was one of the best things we have ever done while vacationing. He made the whole experience feel like cooking with family. The food was delicious and we can’t wait to try out the recipes when we get home. Our son is on the Autism Spectrum and he’s usually grumpy but he didn’t stop smiling the entire afternoon. It was a magical day. When we come back to Venice one day we will definitely be booking another lesson with Massimo.

What an incredibly unique experience to enjoy a meal prepared by a chef who welcomes you into his home in Venice, Italy and then joins you for the meal making you feel like you are family. Massimo was incredible as was the food he prepared for us.

Very personable. Fun tour of the market and brought some seafood to his home for cooking our lunch. We were able to participate in cooking with his instruction He then presented a full lunch with wine appetizers, salad, focaccia bread and our seafood pasta dish and our goat cheese gelato desert.

I can’t say enough good things about Massimo! Truly felt like going over to a friends house for dinner (a friend who is a really great cook I will add). He made sure to plan a meal that allowed us to try new things with local, Venetian ingredients. He also gave us lots of good tips for cooking various dishes which we are excited to try again. The food was absolutely delicious and we had a lovely night! Highly recommend, this will be the highlight of your trip.

The cooking class and dinner we did at Massimo’s house was an absolute highlight of our few days in Venice. Amongst all the wonderful activities we did on our trip, this experience really stood out. The hospitality, kindness, and generosity that Massimo showed us were incredible. He shared so much knowledge, taught us wonderful cooking skills and recipes, and made the whole experience feel incredibly personal and special. What we valued most was the feeling of being welcomed into someone’s home and sharing a delicious, home-cooked meal in a foreign country. It felt so warm, authentic, and genuine — we left feeling not only very well fed, but also like we had made a lovely connection and experienced something truly special.

We booked this cooking class as the last day of our 18 day vacation in Europe and couldn’t be more happy to end our trip on the highest note. Massimo was informative, super friendly and welcomed us into his home with open arms, and he has a great sense of humor! We learned a lot about making pasta and pesto and consumed some amazing food and wine. We will definitely be recommending to our hotel to share his experience for future guest and all of our friends. It was amazing they were so caring and wanted me and my family to help however we could. They were very kind and made very, very, ridiculously great food! We went to a coffee shop to meet up then he took us to a market that was beautiful and amazing. He also bought us ladies flowers!!🌺 Great Experience!

On the very last day of our time in Venice, Massimo welcomed us into his home and prepared a phenomenal three-course meal for my family. He generously shared not only his recipes, tips and techniques, but his dining table, his family’s wine, and his grandmother’s porcelain. The food was delicious, and that is coming from a very discerning foodie. We truly felt as though we had an authentic Venetian experience hosted by a new friend. Venice is a beautiful busy city. This was our favorite experience, taking us away from the crowed tourist areas and giving us quiet time to learn about the city, the food, and the people.

This experience was beyond five stars. It was easily ten stars. It was like going to a friend's house who is a really good cook. Max was friendly, inviting and so engaging. It was obvious he loved food and cooking and the history of food. This was not about recipes or a menu. It was about the underlying meaning of having a good meal with friends. I highly recommend this experience and encourage anyone who really wants to know Venice (or Italy for that matter) to meet Max and have a great meal.

With Massimo, a Venetian sailor and passionate cook, we went together to the Rialto Market to choose incredibly fresh scampi, tomatoes, and potatoes. Back in his beautiful, art-filled home, with vinyl music playing, we cooked delicious gnocchi with scampi and explored a 600-year-old room full of ancient Venetian spices.
