I arranged this experience for my sister and myself and it was by far the highlight of our time in Venice! Alex made these three hours of cooking together truly unforgettable, sharing not only her passion and knowledge of Italian culinary arts, but also the rich history and culture of Venice. From the charm and history of the building where the class takes place to the incredible flavors, fresh ingredients, and hands-on instruction, every detail was beyond compare. Alex's genuine enthusiasm, warmth, and love for sharing her culture made this so much more than a cooking class. It was an authentic Italian experience that we will treasure long after leaving Venice. With many thanks to Alex, this was an exceptional experience in every way and one we cannot recommend highly enough to anyone and everyone visiting Venice!

Itinerary
Under the guidance of our teachers at a charming cooking school in central Venice, master the traditional techniques of pasta-making. Put on your apron and learn to craft different types of pasta – ravioli and fettuccine – using simple tools like rolling pins and pasta guitars. Watch as basic ingredients like eggs and flour transform into perfect pasta under your hands. The experience includes the secrets of authentic Italian sauce-making: the classic "Pommarola" and ravioli fillings, prepared in advance to deepen in flavor, and butter and sage sauce made live before your eyes. Gather with your fellow participants to feast on the pasta you've prepared, accompanied by your handmade sauces. The convivial Italian atmosphere continues as you share stories and laughter while enjoying Tuscan wines "Dalle Nostre Mani," produced exclusively at the host's farm. Conclude your culinary adventure with an educational gelato-making class. Your host will reveal how authentic artisanal gelato is crafted using traditional methods and quality ingredients, explaining the key differences between homemade gelato and commercial ice cream. Watch the process unfold and taste the fresh, authentic result!

This a experience for everyone... Learning about pasta making and preparation has great!! Gelato was super delicious!! A very relaxing and comfortable evening
We took 3 cooking classes while in Italy and this was one of our favorites. Alex was an exceptional teacher – very positive and encouraging! We made fettuccine with a pasta guitar which was a fun experience and ravioli. With Alex’s thorough instructions, I feel confident that I can make pasta at home. Would highly recommend this class.
Alex was amazing, we had a lovely afternoon into the evening and can’t recommend this trip enough! Thank you Alex ☺️
This was so informative and so much fun. Can’t wait to make pasta at home using what I learned. Also met a group of really nice people!
This was so much better than we expected! We loved having a hands on class with Alex learning how to make pasta from scratch. It was the best way to finish our 2-week Europe girls trip!
Absolutely wonderful! Alex was awesome.
We booked this October 4th cooking class at 9 pm on Saturday, October 3rd. Overnight one of our travel companions had a medical emergency and an emergency doctor had to be called by our hotel to attend to her. We called the provider of this class at 8 am in the morning of our 5 pm cooking class, less than 12 hours after booking and the manager refused to give us our $530 back. He said a cooking team was already set. We did not cancel because we changed our minds!! This was a medical emergency!! Yes, we saw the cancellation policy, that refunds are not given when a cancellation is less than 24 hours, but I feel exceptions can be made in a case like this!. They did supposedly give us a certificate for a future cooking class in Italy, but that could be years from now. Bottom line- we are out $530 and have a certificate ( which we have not received yet) for something we will most probably not redeem. I strongly suggest that this vendor be taken off your website!!
An exciting experience for all culinary fans of Italian food. Nina, our instructor, was informative, kind and passionate about everything. It was so much fun making different pasta and Gelato. Definitely worth it.
Our water taxi driver pulled up to the front door of our hotel in Venice. He then delivered us to our cab driver who took us to the Marco Polo Airport. It was seamless and the perfect way to travel when leaving Venice, Italy! We would certainly do it again!
I definitely recommend this class! Chef Matilde gets 5+ stars She was easy to understand, gave precise instructions and made everyone feel like a chef. Everything tasted amazing and the wine paired well with the food.
Alex was amazing! It was such a great experience and we had such a wonderful time! She explained everything so well!
Ricardo made the class fun, informative and easy to follow. Food was delicious and I was happy we had a small group. It allowed Ricardo to give each if us one on one time and extra tips. Would highly recommend the class!
Matilde has found her calling!!! This amazing and energetic chef is a burst of energy and incredibly passionate about her work. She invited us in like we were instant friends. All smiles, laughter, and fun, she’s also talented in the kitchen and happy to share veteran Italian cooking techniques. We made the dough and learned to make fettuccine and two kinds of ravioli along with two sauces. We also watched Matilde make traditional gelato with a machine, which we shared for dessert. Only 6 participants, it’s the perfect small-group cooking activity. Highly recommend, especially because the chef is so wonderful.
Alex was wonderful. Excellent and she kept the class very interesting and fun. We learned a lot about making pasta and she provided a lot of historic information about pasta and the home that had the kitchen we used.
It such a fun and enjoyable activity with the reward of eating what you prepared. Our chef Alex was incredible.
This is a great class. Ricardo was a great instructor. The class is fun and my wife and I learned a few things. Well worth the time!
Fun experience - small group - got to make all the different types of pasta. Instructor was fun and made everyone feel comfortable.
This is a must do in Venice for anyone traveling with kids and teens. Our group ranged in age from 12 to 47 and everyone had a fun time. Alex was amazing. So warm and friendly, we felt like she was hosting us in her own home! We had 4 teenage boys in our group and she engaged with them, encouraged them to be creative with their pasta shapes and genuinely made them laugh. The food was plentiful too (we did the lunch class!) We also enjoyed getting to know the other people signed up for the class from all over the world.
Great experience. I would highly recommend while traveling to Venice. Chef was very engaging and knowledgeable.
Nina was a wonderful teacher and we had a great time learning to make pasta and having fun at the same time. She forgot a step and we had to remake our dough but nonetheless we didn’t mind it and we had enjoyed our time!
Alex was such a charming and fun instructor. The pasta was truky delicious and we loved the vino and gelato too. Perfecto!
We met at the meeting place, and we had to walk several blocks to the place where we were going to cook the pasta. We had to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the area where we were going to prepare the pasta dough. There is no seating for when you prepare the dough. My husband has knee issues and cannot stand for long periods of time, so a chair was brought in for him to so he could do prep while sitting down. Dario, our guest chef, was very good about going from person to person to check on the status of the pasta dough and helping to roll it out or fix holes. He was very personable and energetic. We prepared 3 types of pastas: 2 raviolis and 1 fettuccine. Based on the plates, the raviolis were the clear winner. Although we prepared everything individually, the pastas were combined to be cooked and were served by Dario. The description said there would be wine. We assumed that meant wine would be served throughout our experience. That was not the case. We got served wine only when we were eating the pasta, and it was not flowing freely. The same goes for water: we had to request additional water, which was served in a carafe. Nothing is served with the pasta, meaning no salad, vegetables, etc.. The gelato was prepared in a machine. Dario explained the process, then he let it go or about 1 hour. When we finished eating the pastas, he served us the gelato and provided us with some syrups and cocoa powder to enhance the gelato. At the end of the experience we were given QR codes to download the recipes and to provide feedback.
Nina was very friendly and it was a great class! We made fettuccini noodles and 3 types of ravioli. The meeting spot was easy to find as well!
Very skimpy on the wine. They oversold the group. I sat on an uncomfortable chair on the corner of a table. The host made it sound like she would bring out extra wine to make up for it. There were five adult/bottle. When we asked for another she said she couldn’t. We could buy it. The class was already the most expensive in the area. The second bottle came at dinner almost two hours later. My two glasses hardly equaled one normal glass of wine. The food was so so, I did learn a few things.
Riccardo was wonderful! Walked us through the experience from beginning to end. Worth every penny!
Thank you to Alex who made us feel like we coming to her home for a family dinner. She was very friendly, social and guided us step by step making delicious fettuccine , ravioli and gelato. The perfect way to end our Italian Holiday..
A great class! All three of my adult sons loved it! Very organized. Had the best time at this class! 1000/10 recommend!
Great class! The host was great and the food was excellent. Everything was clear from the beginning and everyone seemed to have a good time.
My hope for this experience was to genuinely learn a few things and to get to eat good food. I did not get either of those at this class. I felt the class was grossly over priced. This class wasn't the worst thing, but it was not high quality. The pasta making was enjoyable due to the company and overall excitement everyone had to be there, but many of us struggled to actually make proper pasta as we weren't given real instructions, I could've learned more by following a youtube video. We then put all of our pasta in a big bin where the chef over-cooked the pasta to soggy. The ravioli completely fell apart, so idk why we spent so much time trying to stick them together. We weren't taught how to make sauces of any kind, we simply watched a jar be poured into the pan. The 'ice cream' was again just watching the chef pour cream into an ice cream machine and waiting and hour for icy ice cream (it was not good, and i looove ice cream). Wine was very cheap, no good. Was very disappointed in the experience, especially for the price.
Such a wonderful family experience. The chef was amazing and patient and wonderful with the group. And the food we made was delicious!!! Highly recommend.
Wonderful for family! Alex was great and so knowledgeable. Loved the hands on and that the kids could participate fully!
This experience was amazing! Our guide was personable and made it very fun and educational! I’d highly recommend this class!
The Chef is an excellent chef and host! We had a wonderful time at our pasta making class. The Chef made us all feel comfortable and confident. The food we had was delicious. The chef is very friendly and made sure she interacted with all the guests beyond just instructing us. Highly recommend!!
The Chef was great and made class so much fun and enjoyable. The food was delicious and the wine tasting at the end was also great! Would definitely de recommend!!
If you are looking for a fun experience this is it! My husband and two young adult children took part in the class and we had a blast! Matilde was so nice and showed us what to do - I learned a lot and hope to make fresh pasta at home soon.
Wonderful class and host. We had a great time cooking and eating and drinking. Pasta was amazing ! The chef lots of knowledge of italian culinary culture !
Amazing experience learning about pasta and how to make it. Great instructors, very informative, I would do it again !
So much fun and learned in detail how to make pasta. Group of 10 of us with Anna, who made the experience very fun, organized, interesting and memorable. Our family, sons 25 and 21 had a great time. Definitely do this experience when in Venice! Family memories we will cherish!
We did the pasta and gelato making class with our 8 year old. We loved it and so did he! Ricardo was a great teacher, very hands on and willing to help. He was very patient. It was nice to have a small class size. The historical apartment building that the class was in was very nice. Overall, it was about 4 hours from start to finish (including eating the meal). We’re glad we did this!
This was a fun experience for the entire family. The local was hot inside but it was summer time. We made several different flavors of gelatos.
Super fun, educational, and delicious. Step out of the hustle and bustle and crowds and step into this hidden gem of an experience. Definitely a must do. Ask for Fiore. She is awesome.
An absolute must do! Alex is a loving, passionate, warm, extremely knowledgeable friendly person! We learned to make two types of pasta starting from one technique. All handmade and easy to recreate at home in a relaxed family style environment. This was fun and a small class with attention to detail. Cannot say enough about the lovely time we had with Alex and the group. Alex, you are such a beautiful person! It was so nice meeting you!!!! Thank you so much for such a lovely evening and great food that we actually made! Pastamania in Venice was a fabulous memorable experience! I’ve ordered a guitar! :). Blessings Grazie mille! Tessie & Roy
Great chance to learn how easy it is to prepare a basic pasta dough and roll it out. Made two different types. Very enjoyable
This was better than we could’ve imagined. The host (Alex) was so personable. knowledgeable and accommodating. I went there with my daughter and my fiancé, and we all left their feeling like we could make pasta at home. The meal left us full and was so tasty. We made three different types of pasta with two different fillings.. We had two types of ravioli one with truffle and one cheese, and the other pasta was a fettuccine noodle with a homemade tomato sauce which the host had premade. After dinner, the gelato was eaten that was made through presentation, and the wine was drinking with the meal. The location is in a beautiful estate passed down through generations. It’s quite large in comparison to most properties on the island. I had thought that more wine would be consumed during the process of making the pasta, but after going through the process, I can see that that would not make any sense. It is so hands-on during the whole process, your hands are covered in pasta dough, which can be sticky. It really is something that needs to be drink after your pasta is made.- so don’t choose a cooking company based on the amount of wine you expect to drink. This really was the right company that we chose and I would recommend them to any friends and family.
What an amazing day making pasta and eating it with new friends! Alex was an amazing teacher and we had an wonderful time!
Fun times. Great experience with Fiore; nice meeting other travelers too! Learned how to make yummy pasta!
Such a great evening learning how to make 2 kinds of pasta. Matilde was our instructor and she was a delight!!! She made the whole process so understandable that I feel like I could go home and recreate our delicious dinner. The setting was a small group and we all shared the food we helped prepare as well as had great conversation. I would recommend this experience while in Venice.
This was a very fun experience, our chef was so lovely and made it very fun! We will definitely be making pasta at home in the future. We will definitely come back! Love You Guys
Alexandria was great! She very patiently lead us through the fun pasta making, experience, and shared her sauce recipes, which were delicious. Then she treated us to a wonderful dinner as if we were in her own home and shared wine and home made gelato as well. Would recommend it to all including families with school age children. There was a 7 year old in our group and he enjoyed it as much as the adults.
