The glass factory and showroom was a WOW experience. Loved the unique and colorful houses on Burano.

We had a wonderful time! Alessandro was friendly and knowledgeable, and gave us great recommendations for local shops. The length of the excursion was just right, leaving us a little time to explore on our own once we got back. I would avoid this trip if you get seasick easily- luckily no one in our group has that issue - but if you are comfortable on boats and you want to explore the island communities, we can’t recommend this enough!
We had a fantastic experience on both islands. The glass blowing was very interesting and the colourful houses in Burano were lovely. Best spaghetti bolognaise I have ever had at Restaurant Galuppi. The prosecco on the boat was a nice touch, too!
Julia, our tour guide, provided an engaging experience. It was also great to see teamwork in action at the glass works factory.
Excellent guide, provided Google, interesting information, and had nice sense of humor. Glass demo was excellent, really enjoyed. Burano was charming, liked the lace demo, and just right amount of free time
Fantastic. Amazing experience with Gialia as our guide. Pay her more!! Moreno factory tour was great! Amazed at their artistic capabilities. Went home with a few.of their art work. Borano was the same. Quaint quiet and amazed at watching the needle work fornthe silk sticking. Again left with some great work.
This experience was beyond description! Fredrico was an excellent guide. So knowledgeable and entertaining! We saw how the glass was made and had the chance to purchase many beautiful pieces. Fredrico made this tour personal and brought us to all the right places. Ask for him and you won't be sorry. Wonderful experience! One of a lifetime!
Alexandro was wonderful - full of information throughout the tour. The glass factory was especially interesting as we watched master craftsmanship at work creating a unique piece of art.
Giovanni and Fabio were amazing! The Murono and Burano islands were spectacular! The glass and lace were incredible!
Really worth seeing! You get to see both islands, Murano and Burano. Loved seeing the glass blowing exhibit and browsing in their shop. Purchased a beautiful necklace and earrings for a friend. Julia our guide was very knowledgeable and great! Loved the smaller groups that we’ve had with Viator.
A great day out. Our guide was so good. We had a great boat ride to the Islands and a great tour of Burano Island and watched the ladies making lace. The glass making was fascinating and so informative. Great place to buy.
Excellent well organized tour. Our tour guide Guilia was excellent with a great sense of humor . Murano was our first stop and we could’ve used an extra 30 minutes there. Burano is right from a post card . Overall 5 stars all the way !
Guide was wonderful. I would have liked having more time at Murano we felt it was rushed. However it was beautiful to see.
It was a great experience. We were in a small group. Only 8 people, which was very nice. The towns are both nice but Burano was a real delight. I highly recommend. Slyvia our guide was excellent.
Clementina was a wonderful tour guide! I loved this tour because she was so knowledgeable and fun. The tour group is small which is also a bonus, it gives a more intimate feeling. I appreciated her recommendations for lunch at Burano island and had an amazing time. Overall would recommend highly to anyone coming to visit Venice!
This was a great day out watching traditional glass blowing techniques and seeing some of the amazing products they produce.
We had a wonderful experience immersing ourselves in the glass blowing and lace arts of Murano and Burano!
Great tour. The glass forming was very interesting. Beautiful showroom and no pressure to buy anything. The guide gave us great information and time in Burano for shopping and eating. Plus 3 boat rides!
We loved this tour! Nice ride on a boat to two cute islands. The glass demo and shop were incredible! Burano was colorful and had good food.
Our tour guide was the best of our ten day trip. She was knowledgeable and humorous, making our Murano glass and Burano lace experience both insightful and pleasurable.
Rachel was an absolute amazing tour guide, super helpful, very informative, interactive and fun! It made the tour that much better!
Amazing experience at this Murano glass factory! It was fascinating to watch the skilled artisans Christian & Andre create beautiful glass pieces by hand. The craftsmanship, colors, and attention to detail were incredible. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience gave us a wonderful insight into the traditional art of Murano glassmaking. Highly recommended!
This was an awesome experience and you really got to see someone make the beautiful murano glass! It's incredible.
The tour was a wonderful experience. The glass studio experience on Murano was something that was very special to experience in person. Then the next stop on Burana to see the fishing village and how special it was. Rachel our tour guide was incredible!
Time & money well spent. Glass blowing demonstration was thorough and exciting. Visitors sat in cushioned bleacher seats very close to artisans. Very informative. Lots of time in the galary. In Burrano, I needed to ask the guide to be shown the lace makers at work. Plenty of time to shop for linen clothing, Nice restaurants available. Great picture taking opportunities with colorful houses.
It was a great value and wonderful tour. Giovanni was a wonderful tour guide. I would highly recommend the tour. We especially loved Burano.
Great guide and beautiful boat ride. Priced appropriately. Our family really enjoyed the half day experience.
This was such a delight and the highlight of our time in Venice. You learn about their glass blowing technique, then you have the chance to browse their work and purchase any that you like.
Guide was difficult to understand and was rude to some of the passengers. Also Burano Island was very commercial so would not recommend wasting time there.
Great experience. Murano’s glass blowing experience was very informative and interesting, even for kids. Burano was very scenic and pretty with all its colorful houses. If you like lace and embroidery or want to take home a unique piece, make sure you shop around! One thing to keep in mind is that the boat you travel on is not a vaporetto or speed boat, it’s much slower so you do spend quite a bit of time on the water.
Francesca was Amazing!! She was so sweat! Had a wealth of knowledge!!! Had a great day!!!
The Murano Glass facility is amazing and the explanation of their craftsmanship worth the visit! Our guide Alessandro was very knowledgeable on all the islands and their specific industries.
This was a wonderful experience. It was our first outing in Venice and both Murano and Burano were exceptional. The craftsmanship of the glass blowing and lace making was amazing to see. Our tour guide was great and guide at the glass factory was ad well. Highly recommend
A remarkable hour spent watching the creation of an exquisite glass horse followed by an education in the construction of fine lace pieces in the old tradition of Burano. Plus a knowledgeable guide who tells great stories.
Cannot recommend this enough! Wonderful morning visiting a glass factory on Murano with an impressive history and legacy and a fabulous lace store in Burano as well. The artistry on display, honed over generations and centuries was awe inspiring. We brought back some beautiful mementos of our visit and I would happily do this tour again next time I am in Venice. Federico was a brilliant guide and the boat was gorgeous, so the journey out and back was an added bonus.
This was a very informative and enjoyable experience. The glassblowing was amazing to watch, the travel was easy and the free time at Burano to have lunch and browse shops was perfect.
Great tour with a fantastic tour guide named Clementine learned a lot about the two islands, had a good amount of free time.
Our guide was great! Lots of time to explore and shop. Burano and murano is beautiful. Would do again.
The tour was interesting BUT not as well organized as it could have been. The tour guide was difficult to understand and not always clear about what was going on. We went to Burano first which was a very long ride, and when we arrived he walked us around the "town" and into a small shop that made the lace. After a short presentation we were invited to shop with them. There were other lace makers there, but we went to the one he chose. We had too much time there honestly as we walked around waiting for the boat to return. Then on to Murano where we went to one glass maker (although there are many there). They gave us a short demonstration which was interesting and then invited us to shop in the overpriced showroom. We were not there long. They returned us to the meeting point, providing us with some champagne in plastic cups aboard the boat. I do not recommend this tour - there was not enough variety provided
Burano is a nice ‘quaint’ town with colourful houses and a history of lace making….whereas Murano is purely business. We visited one Forno called Vetreria Artistica COLLEONI for a glass making demonstration. It was interesting of course but then you went through an IKEA type maze of rooms filled to the brim of very ‘old italian’ piece to purchase. Boat trip with commentary and view of lagoon was the highlight.
Thank you to our guide for an unforgettable morning in Murano annd Burano. Our guide was informative, thoughtful, and made sure that our tour was enjoyable and memorable ! The stops were beautiful and very well curated! The kids also had a wonderful time! Also, my family and I really appreciated the craftsmanship at each stop- everyone was so kind and friendly! All together- an especially awesome and memorable experience !
Great tour! Mr Alex was a fantastic tour guide and informative…and entertaining too!! I loved that we didn’t need to wear earbuds and a transponder for the tour. We particularly liked that we had a private boat for this tour specifically. We really enjoyed going to Burano, wished we could have had more time to explore the beautiful island. Overall it was a great private tour and would highly recommend!!!
The artisans on the islands are incredible. The glass makers were fantastic as we watched them finish a vase under commission, and then to top off their skill, one of them heated up a new glob of glass and then proceeded to sit down and sculpt a horse by hand in under two minutes, and it looked incredible. Burano was a bit of a letdown, but the city itself is pretty to see.
Your guide waffled on and repeated himself a lot; islands were nice, but the lace demonstration wasn’t really a demonstration, more of a sales pitch trying to sell their wares
Incredible trip — our guide was amazing and so knowledgeable about Venice and the lagoon. It’s well planned to allow plenty of time to wander and explore the islands. Highly recommend.
This was a wonderful experience! Being able to visit the island of Burano and Murano and immersing yourself in the beautiful culture of each island was amazing! The talented lace experts and the glass artists were friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to converse and show you their talent. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Great day!
Better than expected! Our original tour time was canceled but they reached out and provided alternatives. Our guide, Alex, contacted us the morning of to make sure we were on our way, was very informative and friendly throughout the entire trip. It was a group of 18-20 but felt very personal.
The two guides were knowledgeable, interesting, and engaging. The first guide explained the landmarks in and around Venice as we rode in a comfortable boat to Murano and Burano. The second guide explained the glassblowing and led us through an amazing showroom of Murano glass. There were 3 people on the tour that spoke neither Italian nor English. No problem for both guides. They would then explain again in a third language, Spanish. Trilingual guides. Great service for everyone!
Experience is cheeper to just book when you are there than via viator. But it was a fantastic trip no purchase pressure
I have a new appreciation for the art and mastery of Murano glassmakers. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
