From the very beginning of the tour there was no one representing Viator to help us get on the right boat to Murano. Once we got on a boat and arrived at Murano, again thre was no one fro Viator to guide us for the tour events. It was very confusing as to when the leave time was. We were told to get on a boat back to Vince and that boat made two stops going back to Vince which made us too late for our dinner reservations. It was a disaster.

We found the pier and I asked if we are in the correct spot. The guy pointed to his shirt and said stand there. It felt rude. The boat ride was nice and they provided a little information in several different languages. The glass blowing was pretty and interesting to watch. It felt like a well oiled machine to entertain and get you in the store to spend money. We walked around and most shops carried the same items. We boarded the boat and went to Murano to see the lace. It felt very touristy. The island is small. I would make my own arrangements to both of these islands. You don’t need a guide in my opinion. The islands are beautiful and worth a visit.
We had a wonderful time visiting Burano and Murano. We especially enjoyed the guide telling us about what we were seeing on our way there. Highly suggest this tour.
It's packed there were no seats for us half the time. Couldn't hear much. The glass blowing was fun but was rushed.
The Murano exhibition was interesting. A little bit more time was needed to see the rest of the island. Burano was nice.
We decided to do these two Islands and skip the Tourcello one as we had heard it was mainly churches and buildings which I think we would have enjoyed but our Teenagers would have been bored. This trip was fantastic from beginning to end. We had the option of sitting below deck or on the top. As we were all already sunburnt, we chose to sit below. They were very clear with speaking in four different languages and gave us loads of interesting facts as we passed other islands. In Murano we got to see glass making in action which after watching on Netflix, in person was even better. Then we had a little walk around the famous glass factory before we set off to Burano. Burano was my absolute favourite. So beautiful. I would have stayed there forever. We had a bit of lunch before returning to Venice. Next time we hope to spend longer in Burano.
Very hard to hear what is being said by the tour guide if you’re sitting on the upper deck. It would have been nice if the guide waited for everyone to get off the boat in Burano before walking towards the location for the lace making demonstration. She was gone when I got off the boat and many people were confused so went different directions so you couldn’t figure out which way to go. Clearer signs, like a person holding something with the tour group name on it, would make it a lot easier to figure out which boat is the right one, as there are many boats at the listed meeting point.
Very bad company, we went to the location but we couldn't find them, we tried to call them 100 times, nobody answered
This was easy to book and great value for money. The boat trips and the staff were brilliant. The time allowed to visit each island was just enough
A great tour. In Murano, the demonstrations of how those glass masterpieces are made would be worth it. Burano impresses with the beauty and level of details in its products. Luiz & Inara
Spent more time on boat, very boring, all they wanted to do is sell you glass, the next island very very quiet, again nothing to do or watch
Hi - our flight from Toronto was delayed by 5 hours. We did notify the local tour operator to see if we could cancel or reschedule. The tour operator said we would need to contact Viator. Long story short, we missed the tour. I always use Viator to friends travelling to Europe. My sister and I have 3 events scheduled with Viator. A refund for Murano-Burano would be appreciated as we did contact the tour operator at 9 pm Toronto time as soon as we learned of the Air Canada flight delay due to mechanics issues. Thank you Liz and Kathy
My wife and I had a great time! Both Islands were amazing. Before booking we read some people found the glass blowing part boring and I have to strongly disagree. It was incredible to watch how quickly the glass maker could make such beautiful things. Murano was a great spot to buy little glass gifts after the demonstration and we definitely had to pick some of those up. Burano was absolutely stunning. Great spot to take some incredible pictures. The shops were great to look through as well as they had a lot of great stuff. It's an island unlike anything I've ever seen it's really a must see while in Venice! Lastly the boat ride was great the fresh air is amazing and sitting out on the deck was another must for us. Just know you're in good company when you book!
Dont try to do too much in one day. The tour of the Basilica and Doge Palace was great but overran then we missed the trip as the meeting point was impossible to find :(
It was ok. I wish we got a chance to visit the town of Murano. All we did was watch the glass maker and buy souvenirs in their shop. Then it was time to go. We ate in Burano, however, there’s not much else to do but shop the little stores. All in all it was ok. It was a nice change from the hustle and bustle of Venice.
Murano is a complete waste of time to be honest… a 2 minute display of glass making and a repetitive announcement from the guide about the 50% discount in the gift shop! Burano is a completely different island, beautiful, colourful and amazing restaurants, next time we will head directly to Burano. Otherwise an informative and well organised excursion
Lovely tour, great boats and plenty of time to explore! Murano glass blowing was great and loved the atmosphere of Burano with all the coloured houses, highly recommend this trip!
This tour was the greatest value we had in Italy. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Venice for more than a day. We did the 1/2 day tour of Murano and Burano and the amount of time of the tour was just perfect. The glass blowing demonstration on Murano was very interesting and caught the attention of my usually bored 13 year old son. And honestly the boat ride two and from these two islands was one of the highlights of the day. It was so nice to be out on the water staying cool on what was a very very hot day. We loved this tour which just goes to prove you can measure the enjoyment factor on these tours by price alone.
Everything related to the boats was chaotic. The meeting place contains a number of piers that the boat will leave from. It would have been nice if there was a dedicated meeting space at one pier even if that was not where the boat was leaving from . As far as I could tell there were three groups of people waiting. some by the address in the square, some at one of the piers and another in the piazza. When it was time to load the boats, the people lined up were at the wrong boat so it was chaotic as everyone ran to get in queue for the boat that would be leaving. Then the boat was full and we all needed to go to another boat. On the return trip to Venice, it appeared that we joined up with another tour so one boat made a stop on the way to Venice. The tour itself was okay. You are focused on the area that you are dropped on at each island. If you explore a little you will find additional glass selections at lower prices and more choices in Burano. Overall the tour was good other than the chaos at the start
Very unorganized. No one from Viator at the pier. Mass crowds of people. Your instructions said to check-in. There was no one to check-in with. Not sure if we were getting on the right boat. Your instructions and communication for your activities need improvement.
Better than getting the ferry, this tour took us to Murano and Burano for an hour each stop which was just enough
Murano was great, wish the time spent on Murano was a little longer than Burano but we had a great time walking around the islands.
It was a very good journey to Murano and Burano. The tour guide speaks in 5 languages. We sit on the roof with good scenery. The Glass factory was good and its shop was very economical price for shopping.
We had a lovely afternoon ...... set off on time and spent plenty of time on each island. The Murano glass factory was amazing, the man working with the glass was a true professional. On Burano we were able to spend an hour looking around ..... the colourful houses were a favourite. We also found the lady making lace pictures. Very time consuming but a very traditional craft. The only thing I would say was the guide on the boat spoke very little English so we didnt understand all the places we were passing on the journey which was a shame. Otherwise it was a beautiful trip, we arrived back at the Venice pier on time too.
I didn't go. Couldn't catch the trip Unfortunately my train arrived late and i didn't go. I am so sad i missed it
It was amazing! I learnt a lot about Murano and Burano. Thanks so much for an awesome experience and unforgettable emotions
Arrived at the dock 13:05, information on booking said to be there for 13:20 ready for departure at 13:30. The boat was not at the dock, and after asking around some other boats, had to give up looking/waiting. Will be looking for a refund from the tour provider.
Tour was very good! Perfect way to see both islands. The glass demonstration in Murano was very fascinating to watch! The lace in Burano is beautiful!
What a fabulous afternoon visiting Murano & Burano. Lovely Informative guide. Very reasonably priced Definitely would recommend. Will use Viator services again
Can't recommend highly enough , we missed our departure time by mistake and they simply put us in with another tour to Murano and let us join up with the group we were supposed to be with . Well worth the money 👌
One of the most beautiful experiences i ever lived! Those two islands are extremely beautiful, colorful and amazing. We paid 20€ each for 4h30 mins. The boat picked us up from San Marco and took us to Mirano where we saw a demonstration at Murano Glass Factory. Then we had about 1h15 to walk around Murano and admire the views. Then we went to Burano where we stay 1h30 and walk through the colorful buildings. It was truly worth it! I recommend it 100%
Never again, way too crowded. Way too many people. No hygiene concept at all. They even did not care, if people wear no masks. There are a lot of people with No masks, because they do not Control it. The should enforce masks und Check it regularly.
We took this tour with the expectation of a short trip to Murano (with a glass blowing demo) and Burano (with a lace making viewing which we did NOT receive) followed by Venice for the rest of the day, with guided tour in 3 languages, including english. Unfortunately, while the tour guide was friendly, her english was actually impossible to understand. She was very talented in Italian and German, though. The schedule of the day was completely different than planned, we started late and went all the way to Venice first to just pick up passengers, then back to the islands, which means we lost at least an hour of our day. When we finally got to Venice at 3pm, we were exhausted and had very little time to explore. We would have appreciated this information ahead of time so we could have selected a differerent tour operator.
The day trip was well organised and on time. Enough time was allowed to visit each island. Tour guide on the boat was very knowledgeable and spoke several languages. Venice is a lovely place to visit. Pat.g
The tour lasts 4.5 hours, not 2.5 hours as stated in the announcement. He stays just a little free time on each island.
Well organized clean and comfortable boat, tour guide on the boat very prepared, great service in Murano with visit to the Glassworks + excellent glassworks, beautiful Burano, maybe there should be a little more time to turn it around.
A mini cruise that allows you to have information while sailing. Very nice demonstration of the master glassmaker; the stop in Murano allows you to see the demonstration and visit the shop
Burano is definitely worth a visit. A lovely little village with colourful houses that invite you to linger👍
RV location not easy to find. Shops in Murano much more expensive than in Venice. No food shops in Murano, avoid going there at meal time. Very interesting comments from the guide.
Very nice day it allows us to see the beauty of the islands and the artists. We were there with friends , the guide explained well all the particularities of the islands of Murano and Burano. Glass objects blow beautiful
MURANO AND BURANO VERY WELL BUT: the comments in the boat were almost inaudible technically and the guide, who used four languages, had difficulty mastering French.
Excursion of the 2 islands in the afternoon from 1pm to 5.30pm very well and 1 hour in each island is more than enough to go around if you do not want to eat on site or stroll in all the shops
The tour is managed in a precise and punctual way thanks to an excellent synergy between the guide and the Captain and staff of the boat. The guide, Isabella, has managed with mastery, to entertain guests during navigation by providing information of various kinds and explaining the highlights from a distance, alternating 5 languages without ever losing the rhythm of the narrative. The only flaw: really too short. You don't have time to start exploring that it's already time to get back to the boat. It would take at least half an hour more time in Burano and 15 minutes more in Murano.
We participated in the tour of the islands including Torcello. No advance observation, we got the ticket at the parking lot at the sandy point. Being early we were allowed to take the boat first and make a small 30 min stop in Venice. Very competent guide and pleasant to listen to during trips. Too bad we stopped only 1 hour in Murano, while the 2 hours in Burano we enjoyed them all! Thanks and see you next time.
Mini crociera tra Murano Burano e Venezia. Molto bella specialmente Burano e la guida preparata e gentile.
I want to write to thank for the wonderful visit to Venice we made with the company “the Doge of Venice” We have to say that due to traffic we arrived slightly late, we missed our boat but asking for information Mr. Carmine, very kind person, understood our state of difficulty and so made us get on his scheduled trip WITHOUT adding any cost for difference. on board with a wonderful guide, all young and very smart guys, who with sympathy and competence accompanied us to the re-discovering of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. In Piazza S.Marco we enjoyed a wonderful show of the tricolor arrows was really a great added value. The staff of the Doge of Venice showed us a Venice never seen and dedicating time and courtesy beyond our expectations: it made my little girl who saw Venice and its islands for the first time an unforgettable experience! Thanks to him and the organization!
Excellent opportunity to visit the Venice lagoon and the three Murano islands Burano and Torcello. It should be noted that almost none of the passengers, despite sitting indoors, were wearing masks, and that the crew did not ask to follow this precaution , even after we made a clear complaint.
Good morning, just returned from an excursion departing from Venice to Murano, where we visited a furnace, Burano, with demonstration of lace and Torcello. Wonderful day, very well organized even for the children who were involved and had a lot of fun. Special thanks to the guide, very helpful and always smiling... an experience that I will definitely recommend!
Personally the thing I liked the most was the free time! This excursion provides all the information possible along the way and at the same time leaves you plenty of free time to visit the islands, including Venice, at your leisure. Perfect for those like me who like to organize their trips and attractions to visit. Another interesting thing is that you can organize the stops for example only make the islands of Burano and Murano and then go back or use the doge to simply reach Venice. The return for Punta Sabbioni can be made at different times from Venice and all this at a convenient price of €20 (I do not assure that the price will not increase) Finally, the price also included a visit to the furnace to witness the glass processing
