Venice is overrated. The operator didn’t provide us a guide how to go around the area when the tour ended. No word at all!

The Murano glass experience was really interesting. Burano was beautiful. If you are expecting to learn anything going out there, the boat is too big and the PA system is spotty at best. Our guide did give information but it was not understood because we could not hear her.
This was a nice relaxing, fun cruise. Our guide was excellent and shared interesting info about the islands. The glass demonstration and shopping in Murano, and lunch in Burano were a great experience. Don’t miss seeing the lace shops in Burano.
such a great experience, the tour guides were so lovely and made the day. Would definitely recommend this experience when coming to Venice
We were taken to the island. One glass blowing exhibition, 20 min long. Herded into the shop to buy. No mention that there is a glass museum on the island.
Beautiful, I love it all, everything is wonderfull, everybody should take this tour, it's great, thanks
Great way to see both islands in a short amount of time. We went back another day to have more time on Burano. Great tour—just the right amount of information shared with us.
We were informed that this tour would be in both English and Italian. That was not the case. There was very little English that was spoken during the boat ride too and from both islands. She would talk for about 2-3 minutes in Italian and only say about 1-2 sentences in English. I felt as though we missed out on some of the history of the surrounding area. We had to look up a lot of things on our phone. Very disappointed!
Horrible no one knew where to send us. Finally found someone that said we were on a particular boat and then some woman scoffed at us and told us no. Needless to say we didn’t get to do this tour!
🤩 Stay hydrated. Very hot today. Left from front of KFC, and this was very close to bridge into the city and our hotel. Had a fabulous seafood lunch in Burano.
Enjoyed Burano very much, beautiful small town with lots to do and see. We enjoyed Murano as well but not so much. Very expensive prices in the “free glass blowing show” store, and we didn’t find much within walking distance to fill the time there.
We had a really good time with this team who made sure we were taken care of during the tour. Fredricka was a wonderful multi lingual tour guide and kept us all informed about what we were seeing on the tour. Andreus was great so helpful on boarding the boat and telling us about Venice FC. The glass demonstration went smoothly and we enjoyed all the tour experience it was fun and the team were fab. I would say it was well worth the money paid.
It’s worth going. The tour operators were very nice. Please do not however buy anything from Murano and Burano. It is a rip off.
The cruise was absolutely beautiful The perfect thing to do on a really hot Day. We were not looking for a big guided tour but to do what we wanted when we got there! That’s exactly what we got. There was a tour guide and she was delightful. We hung with her for a while. Both islands were beautiful and had their own unique culture.
No lace demonstration at Burano, but a great little island. More information should be provided about pickup points and what will happen with water bus transfers.
Could not find the meeting up location. Reached out for help and didn’t hear back. So we did not do the tour.
The good point is the islands are very pretty. Sadly the bad points far outweigh the good, the meeting point instructions are awful, they are not clear at all, and not near where you are supposed to meet. A man holding a small sign at his side is not an efficient way to run a trip. This resulted in pads of people being late so the trip Starting half an hour late. The lady speaking on the boat probably had some good knowledge, but you couldn’t hear a word she said. The timekeeping was shocking half an hour late leaving, 10 minutes late leaving each island, so what is explained as a 3 hour trip was in fact 5 hours, fine if you don’t have time restraints but not good if you have. Would be better to take a public water taxi to each island than don this trip.
Wonderful trip on the water seeing how glass and lace are made. The time on the boat was so enjoyable. Please, though , do not advertise food and drinks if you’re not going to provide them. It is misleading. Say rather, “food and drinks available for purchase.”
We booked this trip with GetYourGuide, the boat was quite basic but okay, the talk from the guide was minimal and English was difficult to understand. We got off at the first stop and were told we would be picked up again from exactly the same place. We arrived early and myself and family were chatting while waiting for the boat and didnt notice that the boat left from a different place about 50m way as the small boat was partly hidden by the waterbus stop building. We were walking over to check if that was our boat when it left. This could easily had been avoided if we had been told pickup could be somewhere else or one of the guides from the boat had walked over to the place they told us pickup would be and let us know - we were there about 10 minutes early. We then had to pay for the expensive normal waterbus and the company has refused to refund us and falsely claimed it left from the same place we where dropped off, when it clearly didnt - drop off was right across from the glass bowling factory, pickup was the normal waterbus stop.
I was very disappointed in this trip 1. This was NOT a round trip. It picked us up at the train station but dropped us off a 38 minute walk away from the train station. They said for 10 euros PER PERSON they would take us back to the train station. 2. This tour was booked for our last day and supposed to run from 10-2. Since I thought we would be dropped back off at the train station I booked 3:30 train tickets to leave Venice. We docked at the other location at 3:45 and then had to speed walk to the station to catch the next train which I had to spend another $100 on buying tickets for 3. This was not a tour. A woman did speak over a loud speaker on the boat but the system was old and static-y. This combined with the wind and waves made everything she said completely impossible to decipher 4. This was really just a long boring boat ride with a tiny bit of island exploration. Majority of this “tour” was spend on a boat looking at water. 5. I think it’s important to note that the glass blowing demonstration is not unique to this tour. Many locations on the island offer free demonstrations. I was looking forward to this and it was literally like a 5 minute thing and anyone can watch, no boat tour necessary Tbh I would visit the islands again but just get the ferry. It’s cheaper, it’s faster, and you can do it on your own time.
Much better than expected. The guide spoke multiple langues and helped when I dot. Understand one world in one of them. I absolutely recommend this tour. Got my photography done as I wanted.
This tour was absolutely beautiful and one of the highlights of our trip. We had the opportunity to see both islands and enjoy incredible views. What truly made the experience special was our tour guide, Giada. We speak both English and Spanish but prefer Spanish, and Giada's Spanish was incredible. She made us feel completely comfortable, welcomed, and cared for throughout the entire tour. Her warmth, kindness, and professionalism really stood out. At the end of the tour, she went out of her way to help us return to the train station where we were picked up and even recommended a restaurant for us to try. That little gesture meant so much and truly made our day. Everything was well organized and the scenery was great. We are so grateful to Giada for making it such a meaningful and enjoyable day. Highly recommend this tour!
Nice half day trip to Murano and Burano guide was nice enjoyed the trip - boat in the small side but serviceable
Good tour, glass blowing demonstration and shopping on Murano was great, just not enough time to spend on the islands
Our tour was not at the designated departure area, so we had to arrange travel on our own— after contacting viatour, they won’t provide a refund. we subsequently cancelled our remaining viatour tours. We were very disappointed in the unprofessional manner in which our complaint was handled. i can’t believe that a refund was not in order. Three separate tours left from the designated pier, but our’s was not one of them. Traveling in unfamiliar countries os stressful enough without the headaches of unprofessional tour operations. We understand that Venice is crowded and the 20 thousand person marathon near our designated embankment point was problematic, but that is no excuse for denying a tefund.
Good value for money. Informative & enjoyable. Good multi lingual tour guide. Glass blowing demo & museum visit is a must.
Great experience where we were able to cover the main areas of Murano and Burano in the morning. We had enough time to wander off to our own areas of intrest before the tour concluded.
This is not really a tour - there is hardly any explanations of what we were passing in the boat; it was just a brief 2 minute explanation when we got to each place; the pace that the guide spoke was so fast - we could not understand her, no safety briefing given on where life vests were and the tour guide seemed to not really give a dam about the passengers. This was just a coordinated ferry ride and not really a tour where a guide talks and explains anything. Very disappointed.
Stunning glass at Murano and cleverly made. I loved Burano- more variety, lively and colourful. The staff on the boat very welcoming and felt very safe. Recommend the tour!
The tour says 2 hours at each island but you only get 45 minutes, this doesn’t give you much time to explore, eat or do the free demo of the glass and lace. Would recommend the hop on hop off if you want more time other than this. The guide and boat crew were great and happy to help with questions
Great trip. Left at 10am on the from Ferovia and got back at 3pm. Couple of good stops at maurana and burana. Time for a soda at the first location and lunch at the second. The boats were not full or hot as some some of the reviews say. Spacious, airy and the tour guide was fabulous. Well done. Recommend it to get off the island and have a look from the water.
Do not do this tour in summer!! Zero air flow , hot and gas filled air - I mean it’s a boat but they could have fans or something!! Boat driver was not nice
Terrible do not book. They are completely unprofessional and unorganized. Not only was the boat 30min late but it was overfilled and not everyone fit on it. To top it off the captain of the boat got off the boat holding a beer at 10:30am. Not a good look and it questions the safety of my children who would have been forced to be cramped and standing on this boat they oversold. Save your the time and money book elsewhere.
This trip is an overpacked tourist trap in really old vessels with very little ventilation. Its prob ok in winter but horrific in summer. More people packed on than available seats. Its not an expensive trip but go prepared. Only an hour at each place which isnt enough. Wish we had got ferrybus and did our own thing.
Met at boat, loaded into bow with minimal air circulation. Cruised to 2nd location where additional guests got on the boat. We were loaded like sardines, little to no breeze at all, everyone sweating profusely. No water or fans available. Tour guide spoke in 3 languages and was very difficult to understand. Reached 1st island in about an hour, filed into a glass demonstration which was neat, but after a miserable boat ride it was too hot to enjoy. Little time to explore, loaded back onto boat headed to next island. Still miserable but at least this was a shorter trip. Enjoyed sometime on Burando and then had to get back on boat to return. To add insult to injury boat didn’t take us back to our port, we had to disembark and get on a second boat that took us back. I would visit the islands again but in a water taxi or private boat. Saving a few dollars isn’t worth it.
To many people on the tour, boat overcrowded. In glass blowing again to many people, the numbers should be restricted 120 people crammed in is ridiculous. .eeting point very hard to find would have been better to choose a jetty number, the guide could always move you when needed.
Prompt. Scenic. Informative. Wonderful. Just some of the words I would use to describe the Islands of Murano and Burano!
The boat left us and a few others in Murano even though we arrived a few minutes early. This ruined our day as it was expensive and time consuming to make it back to our hotel. I would not recommend this tour company.
The tour was efficient but the information given is rather limited and the guide would explain one thing in four different languages so it was a bit hard to follow. I also think both islands deserve more time to explore that the hour given on this tour.
Many other tours were meeting at the same place and it was confusing as to which was ours because they were also going to Murano. Finally rep came with a sign that she did not hold up for anyone to see. We were crowded together on a small boat. Was in Murano only one hour to see demo of glass blowing and shop in Murano glass shop. On Burano it began to rain and we were not allowed to get on the boat 10 minutes early, although the driver and guide were both in it. And although it is advertised as small group of 15 max, that is not true. Our tour was over 30. Would not recommend.
Initially hard to find the exact meeting point Large boat with English and Spmissh speakers Worth the money if not the top ranking product
The description of where to meet was not very specific. We were at the right place in Palazzo Cornoldi and never saw a flag or banner or sign for TripAdvisor or for Viator. We finally joined a huge group on a big boat, and I have no clue if we were on the right tour. It certainly wasn't a group of 15 or less! It was badly managed, and the tour guide spoke in 4 different languages! The sound system on the boat was bad and the guide's accent was thick, so there was little understanding what she said. We were crowded into a workshop on Murano for a fairly forgettable presentation. There was only free time in Burano: no lace making demo. And I would hazard the guess that most of the souvenirs are made in China, at least the cheaper ones. The tour guide left the ship in Murano on the way back to Palazzo Cornoldi.
We had real difficulty locating where to meet the group, but once at the correct meeting point, the cruise was very enjoyable. The person speaking over the announcements was very clear and interesting. I think a little more time should be given in the Murano part of the trip and a little less in the Burrano part.
The islands were beautiful however the tour didn’t add much to the experience. We bought a day pass to travel around Venice for £25. We could have used that pass and travelled to the islands ourselves. We were left to explore the islands ourselves whilst I expected something similar to a walking tour with a local guide. So it was £35 for transport to 2 islands at a fixed time!
Do not choose the option to be picked up at the Train Station (KFC) as the tour did not return to this location! Guide suggested the 35min walk back. Fortunately, I was familiar with the Vaporetto so could get back to my pick up point. The glass making was great but short... the most time was spent with a sales pitch for the shop. Save your money and walk down the path a bit, same items for half the price! Actual time on the islands is minimal.
They advertise as max of 15 people but was more like 50 on the boat. You cannot understand the tour guide as she talks so fast. You also don't get much time on each place.
It was nice to even just be the on the boat The glass making was amazing!!!! Our tour guide gave us information about the islands along the way Burano was nice - maybe just a little more time there to actually look in the shops and also grab some lunch
The tour only gave us short times on both islands Murano and Burano (approx an hour in each) but we only had 2 days in Venice so it suited us. The Glass blowing at Murano would have been interesting if we could have seen what was happening but too many people for that unfortunately. The glass shop attached was extortionately priced but that’d to be expected and you don’t have to buy. It was nice to see that island but Burano was much nicer. That was a beautiful island and well worth seeing. There was a guide on the boat just to point out various landmarks which is all you need. She did a great job in 4 languages. The trip was perfect for us based on cost and timing and I’d recommend for anyone with limited time in Venice.
Really bad… no structure at all. Save your money and take the bus. I cannot recommend this to anyone…………………………………………..
We got to the location from the coordinates from the booking. We did reach out to let them know we were at the pick up location. As the time got closer we asked if we were in the right place. After the time came and went, we were told the group was picked up. There boat slips on both sides of the building. We were on the wrong side but no one tried to contact us and no refund for the error.
