Italian Cooking Class In Rosa's Colorful Home

We had a wonderful experience taking a cooking class at Rosa’s home in Venice. Rosa was a fantastic host—warm, welcoming, and genuinely enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge of Italian cooking. She guided us through the preparation of fresh homemade pasta, delicious sauces, and a flavorful roasted vegetable side dish, plus a delicious Tiramisu explaining each step clearly and patiently. Her hands-on approach made the experience both enjoyable and educational, and we felt very comfortable in her home. The meal we prepared together was absolutely delicious, from the fresh pasta to the beautifully seasoned vegetables, followed by a wonderful homemade tiramisu. What made the experience particularly special was Rosa herself. Her hospitality, attention to detail, and passion for cooking turned an ordinary cooking lesson into a memorable evening. It was a lovely opportunity to experience a more personal side of Venice, away from the usual tourist attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Venice.

This cooking class was the highlight of our trip! Rosa was amazing in teaching us the techniques and different ways to make things! It was so much fun trying new recipes! We even got to keep the recipes to make on our own at home (which we just did tonight!) Rosa welcomed us into her home like family! If we come back to Venice we will 100% be back!

Rosa is a professional chef who teaches how to cook like one in her home and yours. Her class is informative but not formal. She treated us like family!! She is a beautiful person and shares her love of cooking with her guests. I 100% recommend this class and Rosa to all!! Her home is inviting and very clean.

Highlight of our time in Venice! Rosa was welcoming, hospitable, treated us like family and not paying customers, and the cherry on top was the best pasta we’ve ever had (especially the ravioli in butter and sage sauce)! I will be recommending this class to anyone I know coming to Venice and will be back got seconds!

Rosa is such an incredible person and has such a beautiful spirit. She made cooking seem easy and the lunch we made was incredible. She made me never want to eat boxed pasta and sauce again! The whole group loved the experience. Highly recommend! Don't take a cooking class with a restaurant or company. With Rosa, you get a true Italian cooking experience!

Rosa is the best! We loved our entire time spent with her. My new husband and I happened to be the only people in her class this day. She immediately shared her recipes with us. We began by making her fruit and veggie rainbow recipe and then moved on to the pasta and tiramisu! She explained each step very well and let us know that we were in good hands. We had conversations about food, life, and got to know sweet Rosa during our time with her. She provided us with wine and love from her little dog, Pascha, who visited us from time to time. The food was DELICIOUS and overall, we were SO pleased that we not only got to attend the class, but got to spend a few hours with this lovely human. Her daughter also runs her restaurant, Rosa's Brunch & Dinner at Via Doge Michiel 2b, Lido in Venice that we will have to go to when we come back!

Great Venice cooking class featuring pasta, oven-roasted vegetables (and fruit!) and tiramisu. Rosa is a wonderful host who invited us into her own and taught us traditional Italian cooking techniques. She greeted us with a glass of prosecco and proceeded to show us to how to make spaghetti and linguini on a double-sided chitara, ravioli, and both tomato and pesto sauce. We made tiramisu for desert. Rosa is passionate about teaching people to cook using simple, accessible ingredients and recipes. We went as a couple, but cooked in a small group with one other friendly family. While none of us had young kids, this class would be great for families with children as well. If you're looking for an authentic Italian cooking class while visiting Venice, I highly recommend Rosa's. We prefer more authentic experiences to touristy ones, and Rosa's didn't disappoint. She's an excellent cook and host, and while her place is across a canal, it is very easy to get to by water bus or water taxi from many main tourist locations.

Rosa’s class was the highlight of our Italy trip! I am so thankful that we had this incredible opportunity to go to Rosa’s home and spend so much time learning about and making such delicious food. Rosa made us feel like family! The prosecco flowed freely during the evening making the experience even more enjoyable! The pasta variations, the sauces, Rosa's Rainbow of fruits and vegetables and of course the tiramisu were delectable!! We left her home with full tummies and love in our hearts!!

Take Rosa’s class. She is the sweetest person and the entire class was fun and it felt like a little family. Her dog, Pasha, is to die for!! Everything about the experience was great. There were 3 people in our group with dairy, nut, and gluten allergies and she accommodated them soooo well. If we come back to Venice we will definitely be coming back here to see Rosa & Pasha (: She also has a restaurant! Try it out!!

This class takes place in Rosa’s home. We were welcomed like family. We had our toddler granddaughter and she “helped” until she finally fell asleep and missed the best part, the meal. This was a fun, educational family experience. Recommend

The whole experience was amazing! Rosa was very welcoming and was extremely accommodating for our 1 year old. The food preparation was very interactive and instructive. We each prepared multiple types of pasta, a vegetable side dish, and dessert. Then we cooked and ate the food we prepared as a group. Everything was outstanding and Rosa is an excellent host!

Rosa was very accommodating.She met us from the water taxi and brought us to her home. She had great communication from start to finish, which is very comforting when you are in a new country. We made five different types of pasta, homemade marinara sauce, roasted veggies and fruit ( that's right, fruit!) It is called Rosa's Rainbow was very very special. The Tiramisu was divine. Everybody helps with every course learning so much about making pasta and the ingredients that we use, very hands on. Of course there was plenty of Prosecco that was flowing throughout the evening. She is a most wonderful hostess. It would be an experience that you would remember for a lifetime! Do not hesitate to sign up for Rosa's cooking class.... it's a life changer!

Fabulous evening. Rosa welcomed us into her home, out of the usual tourist traffic, in a manner of friendship and contagious energy. We made tagliatelle with tomato sauce, ravioli with butter/sage sauce and tiramisu. She had so much knowledge and imparted it in a very organized way, despite the fact that her helper had been unable to be present that evening. We highly recommend Rosa’s class. Rosa is an amazing host and teacher, and we had a great time with her! She was flexible with us and we were able to change our class date due to missing our water boat. We really appreciated that from her and her translator/assistant. They made us feel at home and the group we were with was so much fun! The tiramisu was to die for and the meal at the end was so fulfilling and delicious!

Rosa is so warm and friendly. She graciously invites you into her home and presents you with the magical world of cooking. She slowly walks you through each step and makes you feel like you could cook anything. The food was INCREDIBLE! If I could give this this a 10 out of 5 stars I would. I highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing 10/10 experience, from the food to the company, Rosa truly put her hearts and soul into this and creates a heartwarming environment. The pasta was the best pasta we have ever had!!!

Rosa is the best! This cooking class is held in her home and she truly makes you feel like family. And the food… the best I have ever had. We made Ravioli with a butter & sage sauce, Bow tie with pesto sauce, and fettuccine with tomato sauce. We also made tiramisu & rosas rainbow, a mix of roasted veggies & fruit with garlic and olive oil. If you are going to do one thing in Venice, let it be this.

Rosa is amazing, truly one of one. There is an interpreter as her English is not 100%, but it was no issue. Be prepared to drink lots of prosecco and recommend not showing up hungry, as it will be a few hours before you eat anything. The other people their were great and the outdoor portion of the house if wonderful.

I booked the cooking class with Rosa as a birthday surprise and it was the right gift. My husband was thrilled to make pasta himself and get lots of tips from Rosa. Everything was very well explained and any question was welcome. Finally, the Tiramisu was also a poem. We had unforgettable hours at Rosa and we can only recommend this course.
