Excellent visit. Very comprehensive and interesting - got very close to the glass work so got a ‘bit warm’😀 Took about an hour

We had a wonderful experience on the Wave Glass Tour! Although there is a free tour available, we chose the paid experience and are so glad we did. We spent over an hour learning about the fascinating glassmaking process, getting an up-close look at the craftsmanship and discovering so much about the Murano glass industry. We also had the opportunity to see some of the stunning glass artwork they create. Our guide, Marco, was fantastic. He is knowledgeable, engaging and genuinely passionate about sharing the art of glassmaking. This was so much more than a quick demonstration. We would absolutely pay for this tour again and highly recommend it!
Excellent tour! Small group. Saw glass blowing up close and given time to ask lots of questions. Viewed Professionals at work on their craft; not a demonstration
This is a must if you want authentic murano glass. Learn the difference between what is actually murano glass and what isn’t. You’ll need to take a vaparetto to the island. We took the 4,2 from Fte Nova took 20 minutes.
Great experience, down to earth, very friendly. We were two adults and two kids (9 & 11). Perfect length of time to learn about glass and see some of it in action. Being only 8 people, it felt intimate and unique
Up close and in depth very well done tour! Also this is the only factory employing women artists in the shop!
Great tour with excellent English speakers showcasing a younger/modern glassmaking experience while also showcasing designer pieces and expertly crafted Murano glass. The guide took us through the entire process of making these special works of art. Thank you for a memorable experience!
Have a close look on how Murano glass is made.. Tour is well organized and number of people of tour ia limited to ensure safety in factory. Learn much more than simply walk in to watch one part of glass making. Enjoy and understand how glass is made, without being "encouraged "to buy any products.
We were very happy with the tour. Guide was nice and funny, created a realxed atmosphere, where were also room for questions and talk after the tour.
I was very excited about visiting a Murano glass factory and have no doubts that the tour has surpassed all my expectations! The reason why I have chosen Wave Murano was because I didn’t want to join those 15-minute tours but instead have a real live experience of the work in a glass factory in Murano and this was exactly what I’ve had! The guide, Andrew (if I am not mistaken…) is very attentious and polite, and was able to guide us through the plant in about 50 minutes through all the steps required to produce those wonderful glass art pieces. For those love to understand what is behind the scenes and feel the real Murano, the tour is a must see! Many thanks Wave Murano!
Very cool guide and interesting insight in the process of glass making
It was free entrance and i got to experience all of it. Perfect!
The tour takes you right inside the factory among the molten glass! You can watch them making the glass for free from the observation point, but the paid tour also takes you in the back and on the floor.
Very informative and immersive. Very knowledgeable tour guide. Just the right length of time. As hot as expected
10/10! Don’t be lured by the guy hustling his business off the water bus, head straight here for the real deal!
Real Factory Tour - not just a quick "behind-the-scenes" visit. Marco guided us thru all the processes of making glass from raw materials, various colour pigments & then Hot-forming, followed by Cold-machining. He showed us how they are making "gold leaf" flowers for a designer brand - with a team of 3 working together to combine various glass elements to form the flower petals & vase to hold the flowers. A memorable experience like no other "factory tour'
Visiting Wave Murano Glass was amazing. The live demonstration was the highlight for me — watching the actual glass masters create a glass flower for a chandelier right in front of us was fascinating and genuinely impressive. The furnaces blasting heat made it all feel so real. It’s not a staged show; it’s real work happening in real time. Very cool. Our guide, Marco, had great energy and explained every step clearly. He made the whole process easy to understand — from how the glass is created, heated, shaped, annealed, and then polished into a finished piece, from beginning to end. His enthusiasm added a lot. The full factory tour lasted about an hour, and it was detailed without ever feeling rushed. Seeing the workers produce the same pieces that end up in the showroom gives you a real appreciation for the craftsmanship behind Murano glass. The pieces in the Wave studio itself are also beautiful and unique — it was interesting to see the room at the back with the “special” created pieces. Overall, the experience was well worth the cost and the time. If you want to see authentic Murano glassmaking up close, this is the place to go.
We had a great tour here! The lady explained the whole proces of making the glasses, vases and art objects. It was very interesting and we were led all through the factory. It was great to see all glassblowers working hard to make beautiful objects from close by. The owner, a young man 35 years old, was working there as well. Highly recommended to do the tour and not just go in to see the proces from behind a line.
Wonderful tour, very insightful into the world of glass blowing. Answered all questions, and learned a lot. Highly recommend this tour!
Fabulous tour! Marco was an excellent guide and took great care of our group. Small tour, just eight people. We got to go behind the scenes and see glass making from start to finish. We were very lucky to be there when the team was creating a stunning sink basin and watched the entire process. Totally worth the fee for the guided tour. When we finished this tour we headed to the glass museum and in a special exhibit there was a creation from Wave. It was very cool to see their artwork in “real life “. Thank you Marco for making our time on Murano extra special.
Excellent tour, brilliant staff, not pushed into buying anything. The people who work there are a young, dynamic team, willing to continue the Murano tradition with pride.
We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Wave Murano Glass Srl and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Venice. The craftsmanship was incredible — watching the glassmaker at work really brought the whole process to life. It gave us a real appreciation for the skill, precision and tradition behind Murano glass. The setting itself adds to the experience too — it feels like a proper working environment, not overly polished or commercialised, which makes it all the more special. A highlight of our trip to Venice and something we’ll remember for a long time.
Young people, creative artisans at work! Bravo!
It was such a wonderful experience from which I learned so much about the art of fire. This tour caught my attention a lot because our guide explained all the creation processes in detail and didn’t hesitate to answer our questions. I highly recommend it. I am very grateful to have had such an experience, especially as a young artist.
Absolutely worth the voyage and the price. The tour lead was awesome, and answered all of my questions precisely and informed us of every little step during the process. It was such an awesome treat to be on the furnace floor and having the glass makers make such beautiful art only meters away from us. For a “younger” glass factory, they really have their stuff together! High profile clients, very friendly and professional team members, well organized furnace workplace, beautiful showroom (let the guide turn off the lights for a wonderful surprise) and a modern shop with beautiful pieces. It really was the highlight of my Venice trip.
Excellent tour! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We walked around the factory to see all the various stages of the creation of glass to the designing of a piece. My children enjoyed the tour as it was fun, engaging, and hands on. Great value. Highly recommend!
We loved the factory tour and now understand the whole process of how glass is made, not only how the glass is blown - which is about all you see when you watch the free demonstration. Our girls loved the tour too and have learnt so much, we would definitely recommend this tour to anyone considering one. Our guide was very kind and thoughtful too and always made sure that we could all see.
This is an excellent tour. Very informative and interesting, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. This was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in my party.
Chiara is very knowledgeable and engaging. We loved being so close to the artisans' movements and seeing two masters working alongside very talented younger artisans. There was so much activity in the furnace area that we spent perhaps too much time there and missed out on some of the end stages. This was only because we had time constraints to meet up for our departure from the island. I would recommend you plan to set aside 2 - 2.5 hours for this tour. It's well worth it!!
Great tour and insight to the workings of the workshop floor. Up close to all the action and our guide (Tomassi) was knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommended
We had an amazing time on this tour! So much better than just walking in for free and seeing the hot room. We got to see the entire process of how glass is made, and then got detailed information about each step to creating a new piece. We also got to see the back rooms and the less flashy but just as interesting parts of glass making. Our guide was friendly and open to questions, it was a nice small group, and everyone in the shop was friendly and welcoming to us staring at them in awe! Tour lasted about an hour, maybe a little more or less. Loved it and would definitely recommend it.
Wonderful experience, I loved seeing how the Murano glass came to life and after seeing the true beauty of how Murano is developed I am in awe! I loved seeing how every team member does their part to bring Murano glass to life.
A very informative and personal small group tour. Good explanation of the process and up-close demonstration of the glassblowing process. Easy to ask questions
My girlfriend and I had the most incredible time yesterday on our tour with Wave Murano Glass! It was truly a five-star experience from start to finish. Our guide, Tommaso, was fantastic—he was incredibly thorough and informative, striking the perfect balance between passion and expertise. He walked us through the entire, fascinating process of traditional Murano glass-making, from the raw materials and the intense heat of the furnace to the delicate techniques used by the masters. What we particularly appreciated was learning about the detailed post-processing work that goes into every single piece. It gave us a whole new level of respect for the time, skill, and artistry involved in creating this beautiful, iconic glass. If you're in Venice or on Murano, this is an essential stop. Not only do you get to witness history in the making, but you leave with a profound appreciation for this ancient craft. Thank you, Tommaso and Wave Murano Glass, for an unforgettable day! We highly recommend it!
Our tour took us through the process of making and coloring glass and onto the floor of the factory where the teams of artisans were making lamps and large shades for Dior and other customers, with the Dior staff inspecting the making of their pieces. The whole process was explained while we tried to stay out of the way. Amazing!
Impressive blend of tradition and technology—recycling glass and energy-saving methods amazed us. Personal small group tour that show you the entire process, highly recommend!
This was a great factory tour of glass blowing! It was a close up detailed explanation and observation of creating beautiful pieces. The tour is highly recommended and the staff is exceptional.
The tour was really informative and it was great seeing the real workings of the glass makers and not just a demonstration for visitors. We even got to say Hi to the founder and his mum. Marco who did the tour was great.
Murano Wave Glass was an incredible experience! We arrived a little late due to transportation issues, but the staff welcomed us warmly and let us join without a problem. The tour takes you right into the heart of the workshop, where you stand just steps away from the ovens and watch master artisans blowing, shaping, and creating glass. Every stage of the process—from start to finish—was explained clearly and passionately. The people could not have been nicer, and the whole experience was fascinating, immersive, and unforgettable. A must-do in Venice!
We spent about 75 minutes on an engaging, in depth guided tour through the Wave factory. Our guide started with the broad history of glassmaking, how it evolved in Venice and Murano and then took us step by step through the process. Our guide is the company’s sales manager, and he personalized the tour based on our questions and what was being created on the floor. We gained a much deeper appreciation of the craftsmanship and artistry required to make these pieces. Wave is a newer glassmaker in Murano and led by a young master who is investing in modern equipment and approaching the centuries old craft with reverence for the past and an eye toward modernity. In this regard, we were also impressed with the eco friendly oven technology, appetite for continued innovation and apprenticeship of many young women as well as men. The factory includes a cold room which is often overlooked on the standard tour, but play a critical role in final finishes and quality. There is absolutely no focus or pressure to buy in their store. They are building out a formal showroom to showcase their collection. For now, you can browse through their small store that includes samples (including one of a kind that they decided not to produce commercially), artistic collaborations, reimagined pieces recycled from originals, and lower priced souvenirs. Staff is very friendly. Easy to find and within short walking distance of Murano hotels and water taxi docks. Set in a centuries old factory building that also sets the mood.
The tour was very well done. It gave us a real appreciation of the art of glass blowing and an understanding of the prices. The tour guide was wonderfully knowledgeable and we felt the literal heat of the process. I would recommend.
Interesting and informative, we got to see the whole process, from raw materials to polished glassware. Our guide was enthusiastic and even our teenagers enjoyed it.
Very interesting tour into glass-making in the Venetian style. They produce some stunning pieces. The tour was easy to find and very informative.
It was fascinating to watch the artisans work up close. They were great at explaining the glass making process, it’s history, and answering all our questions along the way. As someone who does ceramics as a hobby, I found a lot of interesting parallels between the two crafts. I thought it was interesting that the founder is the youngest glass master in Murano, and this is the island’s newest factory!
This was a great tour. A guide led our small group through a working glass factory, explaining the process from start to finish, while we watched the workers in action just feet away. While the factory does allow you to observe the workers for free, it is from behind a barrier and without any explanation. The tour is well worth the money to hear the guide explain the process as it’s happening right before your eyes, and to also get up very close to the action. There is absolutely no sales pitch at the end of the tour (something I saw as a downside to other tours I researched). Highly recommend this tour! You will not be disappointed!
This is art in its purest form. It was amazing to see the beauty that was created! This was one ofntge best experiences in our family trip. Just wow!
Really excellent. We got to see the whole process from start to finish. The guide was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. It was amazing to see the master and his team really close up.
Excellent behind the scenes tour - we learnt so much. As a family we love watching glass blowing and the programme ‘blown away’. But there is so much to the glass making process you don’t normally get to see. Like, did you know there is a ‘cold shop’ that is just as important as the ‘hot shop’? We had the friendly, professional, passionate and knowledgeable Tammy from Australia as a guide, and really appreciated her insights. We chose this tour partly by luck. Having learnt more about the factory and founder (both through the tour and looking online sfterwards) I really admire the way they are leading within the Murano glass industry: a classically trained master with respect for traditions, but a willingness to evolve these and do things like encourage women glass blowers. I am glad we chose this factory because it felt like it spoke to values I share.
This tour was great! Chiara was an awesome guide. She took us into the production floor, where we got to see all of the steps of glassmaking in detail. And she answered all of our many questions. Great for families.
I’ve watched other demonstrations of glass blowing but this was a whole different level of art and skill. The teamwork to begin the formation of the item to be shaped eventually by this young master was incredible. I was transfixed observing his finite skills as he formed this molten glass into a wondrous shape with colors blooming inside. I saw it but I still can hardly believe what he can do with hot glass. I took a brief video to show my family. I felt so lucky to have seen this master at work!
