The musicians were amazing, and the period costumes added a touch of class to the already beautiful music hall . The music was wonderful, of course. The whole experience was fantastic. I would visit this concert again if I could.
Not good. The performers were good but everything else was poor. The facility did not offer heat and it was a very cold night. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING, smelling like a horse stall. The ladies room toilet seat was literally dangling off the porcelain. They only had one restroom for all of the guests - not sure how many guests but easily 250. Facility was not even close to handicap accessible. There are quite a few stairs and they were quite steep. We were so cold we left at intermission.
We booked this online ahead of time without the help of any guide. The overall experience was pleasant, but I guess that we expected something more playful and out-of-the-box to give us the impression that we are travelling back in time. The artists are very talented and played their parts very well, but the lady playing Vivaldi's Four Seasons as the first violin was the best. I believe that adding an element of mystery and maybe moments of brief, playful interaction with the artists would keep the audience more engaged and elevate the experience.
Absolutely amazing, never done anything like this before, really entertaining. Costumes and sound was fantastic.
Worth your time. Enjoyed the costumes and experience. Musicians were very talented. Room was packed.
Reservations in advance a must! Fabulous musicianship and amazing location. This is THE place to hear Vivaldi
well organised and interrsting assemble of songs and performance, just reminder to go in early to get newrer seats and to not so too much walking prior as it might be too soothing that you fall asleep!
My wife and I have been to Venice several times but this was the best. We saw this tour on a tv episode of Rick Steves and was intrigued. The live experience was even better! Even if you’re not a fan of opera this is a not to miss experience occurring in a 14th century palazzo. The opera was intended. Afterwards be sure to sit street side in a cafe in St Marks Square sipping a cocktail or wine.
Performance was great and the selection of extra pieces of music were impressive. However, it was unfortunate that the audience kept clapping in between of most of the fourth season execution. The Place was well set up and costumes were neat.
I expected a kind of cheesy performance by some average musicians in period dress but was blown away by the beauty of the music and professionalism of the group. The young woman who took the lead violin in the Vivaldi portion was absolutely spectacular. This group got two, well deserved standing ovations at the end. Definitely worth going to. We went with our 12 year old grand daughter and she loved it.
Wonderful experience that is a pleasure for the ears and eyes. We had a lovely evening and hope that the performers know how much they are appreciated.
The period costumes were amazing. Performances excellent. We enjoyed the vocal performances and the violinist was outstanding.
Lovely time, great music, the period costumes wonderful, the hosts were very gracious when I accidentally booked the wrong night, and exchanged my tickets easily.
great artists, historic costumes
Wonderful and delightful! This show is so worth attending. The music and costumes were amazing. The performers poured their souls into the music.
We loved it! We were touring the Venice and stumbled upon the show. we scaned the QR code and got the tickets online.
Elegantly grand location, good range of classical music, with beautifully dressed musicians. Visibility isn’t great as the musicians are on a low stage area and the audience’s chairs are on the same level so a tall person in front of you will block your view.
It was absolutely wonderful. The director was incredibly talented, the young bass player had fun and played beautifully. The oboe player was superb and the tenor soloist terrific. The other instrumentalists were outstanding. It can't be done alone. A most enjoyable evening. Highly recommend.
This was a pleasant surprise for evening entertainment in the city. The period costumes added more charm to the concert. It would be beneficial to have a brief speech/description before each composition or in the concert program.
Excellent concert and wonderful performance . So well organised and beautiful old building . Would definitely recommend.
Magnifico! If you’re a fan of culture and Vivaldi it does not get any better than this. In an amazing theatre, professional musicians and costumes.
Thoroughly enjoyed the performance in its entirety. Excellent artists and setting made it an evening to remember
A truely wonderful performance, set inside a beautiful room with the musicians in full costume. No place better to listen to Vivaldi than in Venice.
Terrific evening of music in a historic venue. The orchestra was great. The tenor was strong. The violin lead was outstanding. All wearing Period costumes. Vivaldi’s Four Seasons at its finest.
An exceptional experience in Venice. The music is fabulous. The programme is well prepared. The costumes is one of the highlight. All the musicians are talented and experienced and I am especially thoroughly impressed by the cellist performance.
Extremely talented opera singer and violins, I would go again
The venue for this was so stately and beautiful. Highly recommend this experience. Excellent musicians and singer, who treated the material with sensitivity. Second half was my favourite. Loved the costumes and music was sublime. I sat towards the back but could still see fine. Acoustics good. Seats were a little uncomfortable after a while.
My family and I had the pleasure of attending a truly superb concert. From the moment the performers walked onto the stage, the atmosphere was electric. The musicians were exceptionally talented and performed with great confidence and energy. Every song was delivered with emotion, while the powerful vocals and excellent instrumental work kept the audience completely engaged. The sound quality was excellent, and the detailed costumes were perfect. I could see the passion in each performer and I appreciated their talent! What a wonderful experience to end our vacation in Italy.
I have watched Vivaldi’s Four Seasons 21 years ago and in the same location and I cried it was so beautiful. Yesterday I watched it again at the same place but with my mother and my son. I was overwhelmed with emotion and I couldn’t help but cry again because the musicians are brilliant and the acoustics are amazing. I hope I get to do it again maybe in another 20 years!
Wonderful evening of outstanding music! And it was easy to book, easy to get to, started on time…. Very well done. I suggest sitting toward the front or on the inside isles to get a closeup look of the performers.
Good show. Top quality performance.
What a fun experience. Our whole family loved this including our three kids (17, 15, 10 yeas old). The musicians were very talented. Highly recommended!
We spent a few days in Venice and what’s a trip to Venice without some live music, and this town has a real love for Vivaldi. This experience was phenomenal! The venue was beautiful, held in a mansion. The musicians were in 18th c costume and the opera singer who did a few opening pieces and one closing piece was absolutely hysterical, oh and also an amazing voice! The four seasons itself was beautiful and memorable. The lead violinist was spectacular. Highly recommend!!
I attended two consecutive evenings of the Vivaldi Baroque Ensemble performances, experiencing both Program B and Program A. The first evening already convinced me that I was witnessing something extraordinary. The second evening, however, revealed an even deeper dimension of this remarkable ensemble. What impressed me most was not only the extraordinary virtuosity of the individual musicians, but the rare chemistry among them. This is an ensemble that does not simply perform together; they communicate continuously through music. Every glance, every smile, every movement and every exchange between musicians creates the feeling of a conversation that has developed through years of shared artistic life. The highlight of my second evening was experiencing Program A from the front row. This proximity completely transformed the experience. I could observe every detail of the performance: the violinist’s expressive face, the extraordinary precision of his fingers, the movement of his bow, and the way his entire body seemed to breathe with the music. It was not merely a demonstration of technical brilliance; it was an invitation into the inner world of the performers. The solo violinist in the Four Seasons gave one of the most compelling violin performances I have ever witnessed. His playing combined absolute mastery with the freedom and curiosity of a true dreamer. Watching him, I felt both the discipline of decades of training and the joy of someone discovering the music anew in every moment. This quality extended throughout the entire ensemble. The musicians seemed not only to perform Vivaldi but to dream together through his music. Their interaction created a spellbinding atmosphere where the audience was no longer simply watching a concert, but was invited to enter the same imaginative world. The oboist was remarkable not only as a solo performer but also as a musical leader, naturally moving between guiding the ensemble and stepping forward as an individual voice. The tenor performance brought another dimension of theatrical imagination; his voice seemed to float effortlessly, full of color, movement and emotion, while his stage presence created a unique dialogue between music and personality. What fascinated me most was the beautiful paradox at the heart of the performance: the coexistence of innocence and sophistication. There was a childlike curiosity and playfulness in the musicians’ expressions, yet behind every gesture stood years of discipline, experience and collaboration. The result was music that was technically extraordinary without becoming distant, and emotionally free without losing refinement. The Baroque costumes, the historic setting and the intimate relationship between performers and audience completed this journey into another world. It felt less like attending a conventional concert and more like entering a living musical dream—one where history, imagination and artistry met. For those considering attending, I would especially recommend choosing a seat close to the performers if possible. The intimacy of seeing the musicians’ expressions and communication reveals another dimension of live performance. This was not simply a concert of Vivaldi’s music. It was an encounter with artists who transformed virtuosity into emotion, and performance into a shared dream.
Very good for a quick show. Not real long. Limited in that it’s a small orchestra but it was done very well. Great value. Great to take kids to. Costumes were great.
During our city walk, we stumbled upon this concert and promptly purchased tickets for the same evening. The performance was truly remarkable. Despite the absence of microphones, the audience was captivated by the harmonious blend of instruments and the exceptional tenor’s voice during certain pieces. This is an experience that should not be missed.
Excellent experience ! The musicians were very talented and the setting was beautiful.
Fabulous really enjoyed it and it went for the right amount of time.
Brilliant experience Musicians & singers were fantastic Very talented & the whole experience was wonderful Thank you
outstanding little side night out
Excellent musicians, comfortable venue, and duration of performance was just right.
it was a great evening and not boring at all
Great music, great venue! It got a little warm during the concert but we still enjoyed the music. We visited in late June.
Wonderfully fun. Phenomenal experience in a gorgeous venue. The seats could have been a bit more comfortable but I was already being lulled into Catalonia by the music. Spend the extra $/€ for the front.
Absolutely magical experience. What an enchanting evening. I’ve never experienced such beautiful music live. The costumes were stunning. A very special and intimate event.
Excellent performance by the musicians and tenor! Would have preferred Performance B as it included a piece close to our hearts.
Superb musicians wonderful setting
The performance was wonderful. Bravo to the oboist and first violinist for their virtuosic solos in Marcello’s Concerto for Oboe in d minor and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, respectively. The costumes were also incredible. I wish they had all worn the powder wigs for the performance, but maybe it was just too hot. We were in the midst of a heatwave.
Enjoyed this experience. Beautiful music, vocals and wardrobe. It is on the second floor of the venue (stairs, I didn’t see an elevator). Would have been nice to see the costumes up close after the show and have a photo opportunity.
