Itinerary
Meet your small group and tour leader at the meeting point in the heart of Venice. Then board a private Vaporetto, just for your tour group, to your first stop island stop, Murano.
Arrive on Murano, the island known worldwide for its glassmaking tradition. Visit a working glassblower’s studio and watch molten glass take shape while your guide explains how this craft became one of Venice’s most famous exports.
Continue by private boat from Murano to Burano. The short ride gives you another chance to take in the lagoon scenery before arriving at one of Venice’s most distinctive islands. Step onto Burano, known for its brightly painted fishermen’s houses and lacemaking heritage. Visit a small workshop to watch artisans practice traditional lacemaking, then enjoy free time to stroll, shop, and take photos.
After your visit to Murano and Burano conclude, hop on our private boat alongside your tour leader and enjoy the panoramic views on the way back to Venice's main island.

This was a wonderful tour - we saw so much, learned a lot about the history of the islands from our knowledgeable, fun guide, Flavia, and still had plenty of free time for shopping and gelato.
Had an amazing tour of the islands with great food/snack recommendations and the best photos/memories. Our tour guide, Flavia, was lovely! She was so warm, friendly, informative, and her energy was perfect!
Our tour guide, Flavia, was amazing! She was incredibly knowledgeable. We learned so many facts about Venice and these two special islands.
Great afternoon visiting these two islands. The tour was focused and also relaxed. We really enjoyed Francesca, our tour guide.
We had a wonderful time! Everything is well organized. Our tour guide is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The price was affordable. The tour started on time. We got a headset to listen throughout the tour. Got a roughly 45 minutes to stroll through both islands. Highly recommend to book with The Tour Guy company.
Chiara our tour guide was knowledgeable, factual and lots of fun. Beautiful tour. Highly recommend
Nicely paced and beautiful outing, shout out to our guide Chiara who made the experience even better.
Very well organized, loved the guide!! Boat was fun! Beautiful colourful houses! Enjoyed the glass making demo!
We had a great time on our tour! We had a good amount of time on both islands. Flavia was great as a guide. Very knowledgeable and showed us the best spots on burano to visit. There’s nothing that can be done about it but the one small problem was that it was hard to hear all of the information while on the boat because of the motor. The headsets helped but we definetly missed some of the information.
Awful service. Stood around in the meeting point ten minutes before schedule time. Messaged the provider several times, got fobbed off with “being late to the arrival point” - extremely poor service and absolutely AWFUL customer service- avoid at all costs!!!
Our tour guide Giua (spelling ?) went above and beyond. Having grown up in Venice made for our experience that much more personal. It’s obvious she appreciates the beauty and uniqueness of her city and was able to share that from every perspective. She even took time to discuss the details of using the Vaporetto with my husband as well as pull up and share the schedule we would need leaving the next day. Regarding the tours themselves, Murano was fascinating but I would rather have had more time learning about and watching more of the creating of glass in sculpture and blowing, but it was a nice introduction. Burano offered so much more than I thought and it was beautiful.
Flavia was outstanding! She was kind, professional, informative and helpful. We enjoyed the trip immensely. It was our last day of a 13 day trip and a perfect end to our adventure. Thank You So Very Much.
We had a lovely boat ride to Murano and watched a demonstration from maestro ventrai glass blowing. Amazing! Enjoyed the tour of Murano gallery and gift shop. Of course, we purchased a lovely photo frame and jewelry as souvenirs! Our lovely guide, Gaia, was the best! Burano, the lace making is a must see! Such delicate details and artistry!
This was the perfect half day trip from San Marco, Venice. It was the perfect time on each island and both were so gorgeous and unique. Our tour guide, Alexia, was fantastic!
We had a wonderful tour director, Flavia Costa. She was so knowledgeable and really made our visits to Murano and Burano very enjoyable. Would highly recommend her as a fun and interesting guide ❤️
It was easy to find the meeting place and the tour. Gaia was our guide. She was knowledgeable, personable and genuinely caring that the group had a very positive experience. Murano and Burano are fascinating in different ways and worthwhile visiting for anyone who has the opportunity to do so while in Venice.
Alessia (?) our guide was friendly and informative. Everything was as described. My only notes: You meet at St. Mark's by the canal but will walk 4 bridges to the private boat, Murano gallery restroom does not have hand washing, Burano public restroom is €1. If taking the afternoon tour, like I did, many restaurants on Burano close their kitchen at 4pm, despite us leaving at 5pm. Drinks, gelato, and pastries were still available.
This was a nice way to spend a half day while visiting Venice. The tour operator was professional and efficient. The pre tour. Communication was really good. Our tour guide Flavia was excellent. Her knowledge of the islands and Venice was amazing and she was very friendly and helpful. In the boat ride back to Venice she sat with every group individually to chat. During her visit to our group she made some suggestions on the best way to get to our cruise ship which were invaluable. The boat ride to the islands was about 20 minutes in a small covered motor boat. Our group was in the back.so the engine noise made is challenging to hear her even with the ear pieces in. The Murano glass blowing shop was nice. The highlight was their showroom. The amazing glassware creations were incredible. But thats all you see on Murano and then its a short boat ride to Burano to see the Lace making. The small shop had a lady doing lace work and a tour of the shop displayed many lace work pieces. Not too exciting for me but the little town was fun to explore. You only get about an hour to walk around the town but we stopped at a bakery and had an appetizer at one of the local cafes. It was a good way to spend a half day. You need to be comfortable with a ride in a small motor boat. It was a good value.
Wonderful time visiting and had beautiful weather. Must see for anyone. Ease of transportation to and from Rome.
A great trip. Worth it. Murano and Burano are beautiful places and it’s nice to see more than just the main part of Venice
Flavia was an excellent tour guide. Her being a resident of Moreno made it a more personal experience with insider information and real life experiences of this region of Italy.
Flavia was wonderful. She was clear, concise, informative and personable. The tour was wonderful, Murano was exciting and Burano was lively and beautiful. A must do for anyone.
This is a must tour when visiting Venice. My second time there still as fun. Going to Burano was a special treat.
Love Nicola so friendly. Knowledgeable! Lots of fun! Loved Burano. Loved the freedom to walk around freely. Great gelato and cookies !
Nicole was very nice, personable, and extremely knowledgeable about the cities. She consistently checked on the group and gave great recommendations in the city too! Thank you Nicole!
It was an amazing tour. I enjoyed it so much!
We really enjoyed our half day trip to Murano and Burano. Our guide Gaia has shared a lot of helpful context and interesting stories along the trip. Highly recommend.
Chaira our guide was awesome. Funny and full of information. More time could have been spent on Murano, but Burano was out of this world!
We met in St Marks square with Olympia. She is an amazing tour guide who went above and beyond! She was So fun and thankful she was our guide!
Very interesting and lovely tour. Selena did a great job with our trip to Marano and Burano. It was a great experience to ride on the private boat with our group to see the glass blowing and lace making and also get a treat at the bakery! Lovely, I would do it again when I come back
Great experience!! Transpiration between islands simplified things. Burano - come for the lace but do not miss the pastries
I am glad I did the trip to both islands. The guide Flavia was great and worked really hard to make the trip enjoyable. If I were to do it again just pay the water taxis and go on my own. We had about an hour at each stop and we could not really do or see much. On Murano we stop at a glass shop and that was all the time we had. We did not see anything else. On Burano we saw the lace shop, stopped to eat something then raced to grab ice cream and cookies. The man at the restaurant was so rude and did not want to make us food because it was not noon. We had to eat the on the walk back to the boat. It felt more like a boat ride around the lagoon.
It was so neat getting to see Murano and Burano! We really enjoyed getting to experience Burano. It was very lovely and we enjoyed having free time to walk around and explore. I will say that we did not get to explore Murano. We watched the glass blowing demonstration and had a little time to look in the glass shop and that was it for Murano. We did enjoy the boat ride and getting to learn about the islands.
Amazing experience. A great way to see more of the area. Recommend this strongly
Good experience to see the other islands other than venice.
Excellent way to see the other islands.
Gaia was fantastic! As a true local Venetian, she brought a passion and knowledge to the tour that was very special. Murano was very interesting and Burano stunning! Can’t wait to go again!
Gaia was an informative wonderful guide!
Gaia was our tour guide. She was friendly and professional. Gaia gave good recommendations for thins to do on Burano after the lace demo. I would definitely recommend her and the tour.
Gaia was friendly and full of knowledge. It was great to learn about the lagoon and Venice at large as we rode the boat to the islands.
Our guide was a great local who kept the tour moving well and offered great recommendations. They were about 5-10 minutes late starting but they caught us up quickly.
This was SUCH fun! The meet-up in St. Mark's Square was easy and the guide, Flavia Costa, was organized, super friendly and very knowledgeable. We went to a glass factory in Murano and spent about an hour there. Some guests bought glass, others just enjoyed looking. Then we jumped back on the boat and headed to Burano to see lace being made. Easy walking, beautiful island and great gelato! Flavia even gave out dining suggestions on the way back. Could not have been a nicer day!
Very friendly, knowledgeable guide, Gaia. She was lovely and gave great information while on the boat. The guide in Murano at the factory was great as well. We had a perfect day for a boat ride and loved both islands. An afternoon well spent.
Wonderful guide , great way to experience the other islands.
Guide was very knowledgeable about areas.Very nice she was a native of Venice. Very helpful.
Flavia was an amazing guide. Our trip to Murano and Burano were both educational and fun. Thank you!
Visually wonderful! Great opportunity to get out of the city. May consider a longer visit to Burano! Visually wonderful! Great opportunity to get out of the city. May consider a longer visit to Burano!
Fun, educational tour. We were able to see 2 of the local artisan works and culture.
