The description says things like "explore the island" and there was NO time to explore Murano. This was a serious bummer to me but there was time in Burano to check out sites. The stop in Torchelo was a waste of time though. Would have been MUCH better to have spent this extra time in Murano and Burano.

Drop Torcello visit. Nothing to see there. Spend more time in Burano. Many restaurants there for lunch.
It's a good tour to take, very interesting. I only wish we could have spent a bit more time on Murano.
Tour is giving you a chance to visit all these 3 nice islands in limited time period. If you are looking for some quick snapshot for these islands, you are in the right place. Glass factory tour is totally commercial and waste of time.. Hard to understand Italian English short guide notes..
If you're in Venice then I highly recommend taking half day tour of Murano, Burano and Torcello. They will also take you to glass factory where you will see how things are created out of blowing glass. The museum/ gift shop of the glass museum is outstanding but wayyyy to pricey. Keep your kids close to you. If you break anything, a minimum of thousand euro goes down in the drain. But the stuff there is original. Outside, anywhere in Venice, you will see many glass decoration pieces but remember, they would be pricey but not original. So if you intend to buy an expensive decor, I recommend getting it from glass museum. The tour includes three islands. You'll see where the work of crochet and lace came from. Your last stop is Torcello, where the church of Santa Maria is a must place to visit. (Visited Aug2015)
The Excursion was overcrowded ,the Guide was not proficient in English with a very strong accent ,Most of the commentary was not in English although it was an English excursion ,The Guide never got off the boat but told us to go to the various places .No Guiding at all !! Dont waste your money

Enjoyed tour. Glad that we brought water bottles with us because they do not have a concession stand on boat. Wear sunscreen.

40 minutes in each place is too short. The glass blower was good but he only made 2 items and it lasted only 5 minutes. Next time I'd jus go to Murano on my own and spend time finding glass blowers on my own. Waste of money and time.

This is a good opportunity to see some of the islands around Venice. The boat was comfortable and warm to get back on after walking around. Murano was limited to a glass factory demonstration and shopping which was fine but there was no opportunity to see the island. Torcello was next and a short walk past some cafes and shops brought us to a fine church. With only 40 minutes on the island and a 10 minute walk each way to the church, time is limited. The highlight for us was Burano. It was getting dark as we arrived and the Main Street and little coloured houses were so pretty. A spectacular sunset and a ride back towards the lights of Venice was lovely. A good taster of the islands. Downsides were that the linguistically talented lady on the microphone was speaking so fast that it was hard to make out what she was saying and that the men on the boat made everyone wait in the cold until the exact time for getting back on arrived. As it was so cold, this seemed a bit unnecessary.

Tour may be good, but we ended up not making the tour.

Murano was great as we visited a glass blowing factory and saw a demonstration. But the other two islands were a disappointment.

Amazing tour. Murano glass factory was breathtaking and informative. Burano was amazing and beautiful. Was nice to see Torcello but not as great as the other two islands. The boat leaves prompt so make sure you arrive back at least 5 minutes before they say. They do not wait for late comers as they have a timetable to stick to. Well worth the money.

A good overview of the sites. No guidance but enough time to browse each island and get at least a superficial taste of each.

A well paced tour with plenty of time at each island.
The Glass blowing was amazing! And the shop was cheaper than the main Venice shops

Even though it was raining the day we went, this was a great way to visit the outer islands.

Great trip although would have liked to have had a longer stay at Murano and actually looked at the factory. Burano was very pleasant but only had 40minutes...not long to have a look round and had a coffee or lunch

Was interesting to hear some of the information about Venice from the guide on the ride out. At Murano, you literally walk into the demonstration room, and sales area, no access to any other part of the island. Burano is very pretty, we disembarked and explored by ourselves. Could have done with more time. At Torcello, we again walked to the church by ourselves. The island seems to be a place where the locals go on a weekend. To be honest, I would just take a regular boat to Burano, and have more time to look around there, and have lunch.

Our hotel provided, free, transport to and from Murano - which is where you want to go! We just did not show up for this one from Viator. I wish we had known and we would not have purchased the tour! Murano glass factory is amazing and we bought some beautiful pieces which we KNOW are not Chinese fakes like so much of the glass there is!

Absolutely our favorite! One of the best parts of our 9 day trip to Italy. I already recommended this one to my manager and her group of 4 who are going later this month. A great way to check out 3 very different islands - so close - with a unique flavor. Beautiful colors in Burano - has to be my 1.

This tour is really a challenge. It is crowded and you feel like cattle being rustled into the boat. The PA system is horrible on the boat so you cannot hear what the guide is saying. You get 40 mins each stop and you are rushed back onto the boat. The boat is noisy and loud and they cram as many people as they can into the boat so you end up sitting a tables just waiting to get off that boat at the next stop.Only good part is visiting the glass and lace shops but it is too rushed. I would not take this tour again. Opt for a private tour of the islands.

It was OK, but nothing outstanding. You get to see a glassblower at work, and then visit their store at Murano. If you want to buy Murano, best buy it from the store for a small discount. Much more expensive in the Venetian Murano glass stores.
Burano was OK, but if time permits, venture a bit further in if you wish to purchase your lace. The stores at the beginning of the street are pretty pricey.
Nothing much to do on Torcello except grab a quick bite at a small bistro about a 5min walk from the dock.
You dont really have much time at each stop, but would recommend the ride if only to get away from the hustle and bustle of the City.

Delightful tour. At Murano we enjoyed a brilliant glass blowing demonstration, although afterwards a half-an-hour in a glass store was not very interesting. The Visits to Burano and Torcello were delightful, with the freedom to walk and enjoy ourselves as we wished. Do not miss these islands if you are in Venice.

Tour was ok, guy at kiosk was very rude where we had to get the vouchers submitted - tour left without any direction/instruction. There was a tour guide but she did not provide any information throughout the tour. Best part was the glass factory on Murano to see how the glass was made. Only 40 minutes on each island. If I did it over again I would just get a water taxi to Murano and Burano and skip Torcello...paid extra for a guide that really didn't do anything but shuttle us from one island to the other.

Would highly recommend this trip. Was easy to locate the ticket stand and the trip lasted just long enough without being too long.

Burano was our favourite stop, however watching the glassblowing was a treat!

Worth a visit for all ages.

The tour provided no interesting information due to being inaudible on he boat.... No guide or info on the islands. We dont need our hands held but more info such as a flyer / hand out would be useful... In hindsight I would take the water bus to Burano and Marano and take my time rather the tour

Tour was. Good. The staff at the booking stand were helpful, the boat was comfortable and clean, the islands were interesting and the time allocation was good. Perhaps another 15 minutes on Morano to view the glass would have been valuable

The trip to the islands was well worth doing. My main difficulty was that the English commentary on the boat was very difficult to understand.

We did not get to go on this tour. We were running late and I tried to call contact 30 mins before tour started and got no answer. We probably could have met up with them at murano but since I didn't get any response to a call or text, I'd say don't waste your time. the contact not help helpful

A very pleasant way to spend part of a day in Venice. We boarded at the piers by the Doge's Palace. On a Sunday in early May the boat was only 1/4 filled which made our tour group size and comfort on the boat real nice. The stop in Murano which included a 10-minute demonstration of glass-blowing and then around 30 minutes in the shop was very nice. This wasn't like the Waterford tour in Ireland we took years ago where we walked through the factory watching numerous artisans at work -- this was seeing one artisan do a demonstration and then off to shopping, so I would have liked seeing more of the workplace and others at work. The second stop, Burano, is a charming island town -- get past the empty square you disembark at and walk along the canal through the town with all its shops and restaurants. The stop was too short to browse and have lunch, just time for one or the other, but we enjoyed our stop and did some shopping. The 3rd stop was at Torcello. The main church and other buildings are very interesting, less than a 15 minute walk past a half dozen restaurants to get there, and interesting enough for 30 - 60 minutes of visiting. My travel partners actually chose to just stop and hang out sipping wine at one of the restaurant cafes on the walk to the church area, and I was the only one to tour this church sites, and I found the history, architecture, and art to be well worth a visit.

With perfect weather, and nice boat rides across the lagoon to these islands, it was a pleasant way to spend some time. There was a guide on the boat who spoke in several languages but she had a heavy accent and spoke very fast so all we really heard in English were the times she repeated for us to be back on the boat after each stop.

PS. The boat leaves each stop on time. 3 latecomers rushed unsuccessfully to re-board us at the end of the Burano stop. They re-appeared on the boat leaving Torcello, so they must have found another boat to hire to get them back to ours.

had a fabulous afternoon on our trip. We found the pick up point easily, canal side just off the top of St Mark's Square. Marvelled at the glass blowing in Murano and loved the colours of the fisherman's houses in Burano. Torcello was a bit disappointing, but the other two made up for it. The scenery was interesting and the boat commentery was good.

The first 2 islands were great. Boat ride was nice. The guide or whatever she was, was impossible to understand. The 3rd island (Torcello) could be skipped. A tour of just the two would have been better. But all in all we were happy we did this tour. Beautiful!

We enjoyed much of this tour, particularly Burano, just recognize that the guide only speaks in 4 languages on the boat between stops and you are on your own at each island, 45 minutes each. Burano is the middle stop and is charming. Be sure to either stop to eat lunch there or do as we did and buy a panini or a wrap with some chips and waters to bring back to the boat to eat as you head on to Torcello. Torcello has what looks like a very nice restaurant and you might plan to eat lunch there as the cathedral and surroundings only take s few minutes to see. Pay the fee and go into the cathedral. You don't see much of the island of Murano actually. You go from the boat straight into a charming 10-15 minute glass blowing demonstration and then straight into the two floors of showrooms and sales folks. There's so many Murano glass shops around every corner in Venice, this really wasn't what we'd expected. We'd thought we'd be getting an actual tour of the factory. All-in-all a worth while trip.

A great way to see the Venetian Lagoon islands. This was my favorite day in Venice by far. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Venice. It was very nice to get away from the crowded main island and see some of these smaller ones. The glass blowing demonstration was awesome!

I would only recommend considering this tour if you expect to be in Venice for an extended period of time. For my short visit, it was not worth the time I could have spent doing more interesting things in the city. The glass blowing factory visit was a disappointment if you have ever seen a glass-blowing demonstration, this is nothing new. Also, you only have the opportunity to visit the one shop at that particular factory, so you are a captive audience subject only to their products and prices which, fortunately, were reasonable. Burano was charming with its colorfully painted homes, but unless you are a fan of lace, it is not especially exciting. Torcello was not tremendously interesting--just a long walk from the pier to an old church. While I recognize the historical significance of Torcello as the first capital of the lagoon, I found it a waste of my time. Finally, the boat trip itself was not that special. I was hoping for sweeping vistas of the city as we left the pier and returned, but it was mostly just a boat ride in the middle of nowhere. If you have exhausted all there is to do in the city, you may wish to consider adding this tour to your itinerary. It wasn't terrible it just wasn't for me.

really not worth doing. The highlight of the tour was Murano. we stayed for 45 minutes, got to see a demo of glass blowing followed by the time in an overpriced gift shop. Never got to see the Island. burano, nice but could've lived without. Torcello, nothing there to see. Tourguide spoke about 15 languages and it could barely be heard. basically a waste. save the money. take the boat to Murano, spend a half a day and have lunch. skip the other 2 islands.

Un viaje muy bonito y excelente guía Murano algo fuera de serie
Very nice trip! You see enough of all the islands. For a short break in Venice, this day is perfect.
Our guide Lazarus phenomenal. Attentive to the whole group, professional and always giving good information and good advice. If you go to Venice do not miss visiting the islands of the Lagoon of Venice, especially Burano
I decided to take this tour to see all three of these wonders, the tour also allows you a remarkable view of the city of Venice from the water, even the one not to be missed! We saw Murano first with a visit to a glassworks and demonstration of the art of blown glass. Then Burano, beautiful, with its colorful houses, fantastic. Finally Torcello, with the church, very particular. If I can recommend, however, I would say that the time available is too little, burano for example deserved a little more time so if I came back I would organize myself for example by taking a vaporetto with only transport (burano deserves a full afternoon)
We bought the tour in front of the Hotel Danielli, the hours are 2am and 1pm. We went in the afternoon. It was fantastic to walk through the factory and see the transformation of Murano Glass. I loved Burano and found little time for Torcello. I just don't give 5 stars because it was very little time in Torcello just got to step on the island and back.
This half-day tour of the three islands, Murano, Burano and Torcello is affordable from an economic point of view, interesting, light, pleasant and allows you to get to know a bit of the richness and traditional culture of the surrounding islands of Venice. Although I did the Tour on an intense rainy day, this made my stay in Venice more complete. I recommend.
Perfect but audio guide not strong enough and return too long. Very interesting glass blowing. To do!
On the first island there was a demonstration of glassblowing. This demonstration lasted only five minutes. You were then dropped off at a store for more than half an hour. There is nothing else to see and do on this island. The second island is very nice. The colored houses give a cozy Mood. Here you can walk around for 40 minutes. Third party island was boring. There is literally nothing more to do here than a church where you also have to pay €5 entrance. All in all, there is not too much to say for €20, but you can spend those 4 hours better..
Definitely to do if you have little time because in 4 hours you visit the 3 main islands for the same price as a day ticket for the vaporetto! If you have time I recommend visiting them yourself you can admire things more calmly.
