Confusing. We presented the Viator voucher at Doge’s and waited in their ticket office line. No instructions provided that we needed to go to the tour operator’s office first to get printed tickets. Took too much time. Once we were finally in, we downloaded the app for the audio tour and it wouldn’t play on either of our phones. Very disappointing. Do not buy this experience. Buy direct from Doge’s instead.

Itinerary
The Doge’s Palace is one of Venice’s most breathtaking landmarks and a masterpiece of Venetian Gothic architecture. Once the seat of the powerful Venetian Republic, this magnificent palace was home to the Doge and the center of Venice’s political power for centuries. Inside, visitors can admire lavish halls adorned with masterpieces by great artists such as Tintoretto and Veronese, walk through grand chambers where historic decisions were made, and discover the fascinating history of one of the world’s most influential maritime republics.
The Bridge of Sighs is one of Venice’s most iconic landmarks, connecting the Doge’s Palace to the historic prisons. Built in the early 17th century, this elegant white limestone bridge enclosed prisoners as they crossed from the courtrooms to their cells. According to legend, it takes its name from the sighs of prisoners catching their last glimpse of the Venetian lagoon through its small stone windows.
The Museum Correr offers a fascinating journey through the art, history, and daily life of Venice. Explore elegant imperial rooms such as the Napoleon Ballroom and the intimate boudoir of Empress Sissi, admire neoclassical masterpieces, and discover one of the oldest and most detailed maps of Venice, the famous 1500 view created by Jacopo de’ Barbari, which reveals the city as it appeared during the height of the Venetian Republic.
The National Archaeological Museum of Venice houses one of the most important collections of classical antiquities in Italy. Located in St. Mark’s Square, it preserves an extraordinary selection of ancient Greek and Roman sculptures, bronzes, ceramics, and coins, offering visitors a fascinating journey through the art and culture of the ancient Mediterranean world.
The Monumental Rooms of the Marciana Library are among the most magnificent Renaissance interiors in Venice. Once used as the ceremonial heart of the Venetian Republic, these grand halls are adorned with lavish ceilings and masterpieces by great Venetian painters of the 16th century. The library also preserves an extraordinary collection of rare manuscripts and ancient books, including the famous Codex Venetus, one of the most important surviving manuscripts of Homer’s Iliad.

Easy service, audio guide was really informative and made the experience much better. Would recommend.
Entering was very confusing as Tripadvisor say they have sent you a ticket which you can download. However when we arrived at our alloted time we were told to walk 10 mins away up an alley to get a printed ticket ! Very strange and a lot of hassle.
Very interesting. Beautiful place. Audio guide in uk was appreciated. Very crowded.
There was no audio box. you had to download an app … on iffy WiFi and only one of four people were able to do it And volume on phone not good for sharing … then …. Each station had to be downloaded and soooo slow And the WiFi would drop … and you’d need to re-log in to the WiFi …. They recommended downloading the entire 90 min tour but couldn’t get it all downloaded Finally gave up and read the signs The facilities interesting but the audio was pathetic
This is an audio tour of the palace. A thorough experience can take well over two hours. Each room presentation starts with the purpose and architectural details before describing the artwork. And there is a lot of artwork, which can become overwhelming to the uninitiated. Separate audio tracks would be helpful for those not well versed in art.
We went to the ticket shop to pick them up and then walked to the priority entrance. The bar codes wouldn't scan and the abrupt unapologetic official sent us back to the shop. We were then issued another print out to use at the long regular queue, to be followed by another queue to gain entry by showing our print out to get the actual ticket. What a faff in 80 degrees of heat and thousands of people. We love Italy but be prepared that no one in authority is in a hurry to let you get in anywhere! 😆. The palace was incredible though and worth the hassle 👌 .
The rooms are so opulent and compares drastically with the prisons. You need to first exchange your Palace “voucher” for the real ticket by going to a tour office but the lineup was short
Really nice Experience and Story. Beautiful to take pictures and great architecture Would 100% recommend
Nice and painless. Check the info as you have to pick your tickets up from the travel agents shop about 200m away from the palace but they already had our details so no issue. Doge's palace itself is well worth a visit and should we return to Venice we'd do it again. Entrance to Museo Correr is also included but that was disappointing, more about artistic fluff than anything informative. If you think your lifetime is going to be one hour too long then by all means spend it there.
As a traveller with limited mobility i was a little concerned how much of the palace i could see but I should not have worried. We bought priority tickets so we would not have to queue and I was offered the use of the lift without asking and my daughter was allowed to come with me.Staff were only too pleased to help and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
I bought a ticket for a 12:30 entrance and they would not let me in without a QR code all I had was the ticket provided by TripAdvisor
Purchased the ticket online went to gate one went straight through immediately The audio guy didn’t work particularly well we had to download the app first they took forever and the audio app kept defaulting back to the beginning
We enjoyed the palace when we eventually got in! We didn’t realise the ticket we received wasn’t for entry until we arrived as we are used to being emailed the tickets on booking. It was supposed to be priority entrance but didn’t appear to be anything priority about them! We were informed on entry that we needed to walk 10 minutes up the road to a local travel agency who would give us the tickets which seemed a huge inconvenience!
Great experience to look around such an amazing buildings. The artistry is a must see and each room really does have the wow factor
Easy to access last minute tickets, able to enter with no line. Had a great time exploring with no time limit.
The address in the PDF voucher took us to a completely different area of town. We basically had to run through the streets of Venice in 100 degree heat to get to the wrong spot to come right back to where we were to get the tickets. This was a bad start for our day trip to Venice.
The voucher pickup location was in a location away from the museum making the pickup/check in process confusing. It creates an extra step for the customer which can be inconvenient when it’s hot. I don’t understand why the museum can’t accommodate the bar code generated in the app.
A must see when in Venice. Downloadable app with audio guide included with entrance. An enjoyable 2 hrs spent wandering through impressive rooms, admiring the amazing art and architecture before crossing over the bridge of sighs into the prison. Easy to collect tickets from the tour operators, but this did seem a bit unnecessary. I don’t know why you can’t just be sent the tickets direct as it was just a print out with a barcode.
Apologies if this review appears twice - I was not signed into my account. I don't think I've ever given a one star review but this company was a disaster. Long story short, we thought we had booked this tour at 4pm and our group of 5 showed up to no guide. They had us down for 2pm. The confirmation email only had the DATE, not the TIME (when asked, I forwarded this to them). We called at 4:05pm when our tour guide did not show up and were told no one was available an d the tour guide had been there at 2pm. The crazy thing is that we were a 5 minute walk away at 2pm - the guide had my cell phone but did not CALL, EMAIL, What's app message or TEXT me - we could have been right over. At this point, I have called and spoken with 3 different people, sent 4-5 emails laying out the situation but they refuse to issue a refund (over $200 Euros for 5 of us!). That is very disappointing. As a business owner myself, I would have issued a refund in the same circumstance. They have not even bothered to respond to my last email. I would never use this company as I have heard 3 different responses by phone and by email, neither of which is for a refund. I will dispute with my credit card company but I really shouldn't have to beg when they didn't even bother to contact me when we were late (because we think we booked it for 4pm).
Be warned as I lost over $200 Euros to this company. I have now sent 4 follow up emails and 3-4 phone calls to resolve a misunderstanding (we showed up at 4pm but they had us down at 2pm). Of course our group of 5 CALLED when the guide was not there in Venice. Our confirmation email only had the DATE not the TIME (which I forwarded to them), hence the issue as we thought it was 4pm. In any case, we called and they just said the tour guide had left at 2pm. The really disappointing part is that the guide had my email, cell phone and What's up number - we were literally right in the area and had they pinged me, we could have shown up at 2pm. I called several times, forwarded the email with the lack of time to the support team, sent several follow up emails and now a week later, the only response is that they will NOT issue a refund (and for 5 of us, it was over 200 Euros. I plan to dispute this charge with my credit card company but I'm very disappointed that given multiple chances to do the right thing, they did not even bother to respond to my follow up emails and the people I spoke to on the phone gave different information. I'm sure the tour would have been great, but I have no idea why the guide couldn't be bothered to text/call/email or What's up message me when they did not see us at 2pm. Buyer Beware.
Doges palace was exceptional, Viator was terrible! Just turn up on day to get tickets and it’s open til 11pm. Viator app didn’t work had to walk round Venice trying to find somewhere to print the tickets as their pdf isn’t valid
Wish I knew that I needed 2 days for the use of this ticket. It took me 3 hrs to get around the palace and the other attractions wouldn't let me in after 5pm. Then I flew out the next day. This attraction is definitely worth the price and wasn't overcrowded
A must see if you’re in Venice! You can go at your own pace or with a guide. Beautiful ceiling murals and you learn a lot about the history of the palace
Very easy to find the travel agency to pick up our guided information. We really enjoyed the tour was on our own. I gave four stars only because we were not given headphones, but perhaps we needed to bring our own and didn’t read the fine print. Museum we did later in the afternoon when we had more time to explore.
This was a Great experience . The Doge is a must and free audio tour just bring your AirPods getting tickets in Viator easier than standing in line and go to priority entrance and walk right in no wait
It was a wonderful experience. We couldn't find our tour group so we explored on our own. That was a great decision. We were only able to explore the Doge Palace and not tthe other sights that had been included as part of guided tour, as exploring the Palace alone easily took 2.5 of the 3 hour allotted time for the tour. Self directed tour can be done by downloading the app at the Palace and listening to the audio through your phone.
Great tour! Thought it was going to be short. To fully experience make sure you give yourself an hour plus.
Easy to find office with directions. Streamlined the ticket process and saved us time at the entrance. Would recommend.
Ticket covered entrance, disappointing that there was no audio tour provided. I could have booked tickets directly from the website as well.
Doge's Palace was opulent and amazing. So easy to get in and enjoy ourselves. Viator made this do easy.
Desastre ! Noone ess waiting for us and we were obliged to buy new tickets at price 105€ it is example how tour company does not care at all !!! Shame !!!
The process to redeem the voucher for the ticket was very easy and the employees were friendly. The Doge palace was one of the most interesting and beautiful places I've ever visited. Must see!
Absolutely amazing experience. The one negative part was only gave myself 1 hour to go through the exhibit. Give yourself closer to 2 hours if you really want to enjoy the palace. Other then that absolutely perfect, and getting priority entrance was 100% necessary
A wonderful guided tour led by a local tour guide with an extensive knowledge of over 1000 years of historical Venice. The guides captivating present left us all wanting more. A truly memorable visit.
The Palace was amazing. Worth the visit. The audio login was not easy to figure out. Some people could not get on. The location of the ticket office was a little confusing if not for GPS and asking people in area for assistance.
You should know that if >65 y/o, just pay $15 @ Doge Palace & see the same amount we did. We did NOT get into the Basilica...
It was amazing, there was so much to see! We had the option to go on our own or do whole thing with guide. We did the mandatory part with guide and then enjoyed exploring at our pace.
Take your time with the audio guide and soak in the experience. Do not let other people pressure you into walking fast through each room. Soak in the beautiful architecture and artwork.
NOT HAPPY! This was a complete rip off. My daughter and I were at the meeting point that they showed in the booking with 30mins in advance. No one showed up, I tried calling the number provided and it said the number didn’t exist. We went to the palazzo reception and they couldn’t help as we never got the bar code via email as they said they would. I ended up paying again for the tickets at the main entrance. I want a refund and have been trying to chat with them with no luck. Still waiting to be contacted by them
Nicely laid out. Beautiful. But - wish more rooms had places to sit
Brilliant guide Alessandro. Excellent interpretation of the images and painting giving insight into their purpose and Venitian culture.
Very easy to pick up tickets and entry to the palace. Interesting to see the history and architecture of the palace. Would recommend this experience, should plan for 1 to 2 hours to complete
Very informative, lovely and engaging to everyone and was more than happy to answer questions when asked
Very informational! Small group
Valentina was very knowledgeable and kind I truly learn a lot with her
Valentina was a lovely tour guide. Informative, patient, and nice to listen to.
The instructions on how to get the tickets were very unclear unless you are a resident of Venice. It took us 4 attempts to find the very well hidden store front located down a side street. The doge tour itself was fine but since we wasted 30 minutes looking for the ticket office weren't able to visit the other locations that were included. I've used Tripadvisor many times but these two in Venice were a complete bust and the process to meet your guide or claim your ticket could be vastly improved.
Valentina was an exceptional tour guide. Her passion and knowledge helped us to immerse ourselves and feel as one with the Venetian culture. Valentina was so kind and happy to answer all our questions as well.
Valentina was amazing! Humorous and so knowledgeable about history and myth!
