The activity was wonderful but tickets were very difficult to retrieve from their office. Tickets should be available online. I would recommend the experience but not the operator in this case.

Perfect way to experience the palace on your own time! Ticket pick up is a breeze! I highly recommend this self guided tour!
Amazing visit! So much to take in! Amazing artwork and great experience. Can’t believe it survives in the heat and humidity.
Collect your tickets from the ticket office before hand. Address in description. The "skip-the-queue" line was nearly three times as long as the actual line. However, 5 min in, we were escorted from the back of the line right to the entrance, so can't complain but felt bad for the ones who had been waiting for longer than us.. very impressive visit. The audio guide is well done.
The travel agency was extremely helpful, and we tried to book another excursion through them. They bent over backwards to try and make it work for us, but we just didn’t have enough time between other booked events. They were wonderful though.
Nice to have a special entrance without a big line and the audio guide allows you to have flexibility.
WiFi is not good so you must rely either on a guide or reading the boards yourself. That said, it was a very impressive place full of surprises.
great experience. very cool. keep in mind when going in, if you want to go to the upper levels you have to leave your bag at the bottom
Easy to pick up your ticket around the corner from the Palace. Interesting walkthrough experience, displays all have good explanations in each room.
No refund given, escalated with bank due to shocking customer service. Was unable to gain access due to back pack.
The audio guide is only available on your phone and due to the thickness of the walls, there is very little cellular coverage. Therefore, the audio guide is almost useless. A tour guide or an audio device is needed.
The viator experience here is annoying. It is 2026 and they are still sending you a "Voucher" calling it a ticket and you have to go to a physical location to pick up the real ticket that is 5 minutes away. The app calls it a ticket but it is not your real ticket. So you spend an extra 20 minutes of walking to and from, waiting in line at a tour provider just to get a ticket to the place you want to go. I only did this as the Italy main website would not process my CC or Paypal. So just be aware of these annoyances when booking through Viator. Welcome to 1995.
Made entry very easy. Doge Palace is beautiful and contains many large rooms that are completely overwhelming!
Give yourself plenty of time to validate the voucher to get your tickets. Pilazzo Ducale is very impressive. Avoid the restaurants near San Marco because of prices. It really is worth it to walk to the quieter streets to find lovely bars and restaurants. You won't be disappointed.
The self guided audio tour was great it told you about everything in the rooms and prison that you visit.
Instructions on location for tickets were very poor. After asking guides in two different places near St Marks Square we were told by one of them to go to the Venice Tour Office. Luckily she gave us good directions. Once there collecting the tickets was easy and personnel were very helpful. Doge Palace is immense and impressive. If you are claustrophobic, do not do the jail part of the tour. Correr Museum was interesting and not crowded.
The ticket office was very easy to locate, and collecting the tickets was a straightforward process. Just note that this is not direct entry—you’ll need to pick up your tickets beforehand. Overall, everything went smoothly and worked perfectly.
Doge’s was good, and the early entry went well. You do have to find the tour company ticket office and then walk to Doge’s from there, but it was easy and finding everything using Apple Maps. About a 5 minute walk from the tour office, however, the tour office does not open until 9 AM and they were quite a few people waiting. So we had to wait for our tickets and then walk to Doge’s. Walking through the palace was interesting, but the tour seemed to focus more on the art/paintings on the wall than anything else - in my opinion. It got a bit boring. Lots of large tour groups were also there, but not too bad. Do at your own pace. The app for Doge’s (MOVE) mostly work, but there were some dead spots where the app didn’t load.. We didn’t see a way to actually download the tour. If you don’t have high speedWi-Fi, that might be a problem. Overall I would recommend buying the tickets from here as the official website is a little bit confusing to buy the tickets and although it says you can do it in English, some of it is still in Italian.
The guided tour is in your phone so bring headphones or ear buds. It guides you from room to room and gives the history of each room. The rooms get so much more meaning from the narration.
Need to pick up vouchers at another site before getting in line. Priority was excellent. Audio tour included
The palace was amazing and the audio tour provided was ideal in the busy setting. The ticket situation was a little ridiculous, you have to walk to a tourist office to exchange your digital ticket for a printed copy, which they don’t mention until you arrive. A little bit of unnecessary stress in a very busy location.
Skip the line worked great. We got a 10:15 pass, but we could use it anytime. Finding the office for the ticket was super easy by clicking on directions in the app.
Very poor value for money. We had to download an app to listen to the commentary but realised quite quickly that the WiFi didn’t work. Everyone was sat around on their phones looking perplexed and frustrated. We were told by one member of staff that the Doge’s palace is lead lined, hence the problem with the WiFi! So don’t charge people an extortionate amount of money for a service that clearly isn’t going to work. Frustrating, annoying and badly run.
Incredible, take your time to look around. The history and the art are well worth the look. Just when you thought you'd seen it all, theres more.
I booked the wrong date. I should have booked the day after, yes this was my mistake. However, I contacted Viator immediately, then each hour after without response. I emailed them for them to tell me the carrier would not alter. Yes, this was my mistake but to immediately recognise my mistake and then try to make contact without response was terrible service.
Fantastic day and they where very helpful as didn’t know pick up point for tickets
We booked entrance only and looked around at our own spend This was perfect for us Has an online guide which we followed Great history in a beautiful building Walk within the bridge of sighs to prison captured the reality of history
Very beautiful, glad to be able to use the restroom during the tour. It was easy to find the tickets amd my way around. Thank you
If you’re not doing a tour with the tour guide, they have an app that you can download to listen as you go. Some of our friends couldn’t download the app so we all had to share and ear piece. The tour took 2 hours.
I was able to book this experience and then go straight into the Palace less than ten minutes later, skipping the long line.
Plan for about an hour walk thru; walked to the prison cells by crossing inside the bridge of sighs.
It was fine. A little annoying to have to go an office to pick up a print-out of tickets. I wish they had just sent us the PDF like all the other ticket operators do.
If you have a time it worth a visit as it has beautiful ceilings. Unfortunately, there is no air-conditioning so it was very hot. We used Audio guide and Chat GPT for explanation. In my view, I enjoyed more visiting St. Mark's Basilica (Basilica di San Marco) .
Quick and easy!! Visiting the Doge’s Palace is a must in Venice. These tickets make it easy and save time.
It was okay but in hindsight we would've preferred to be in a group with a tour guide instead of a self guide with your phone acting as the audio head set. Within 10 minutes we gave up with the audio and did our own thing. Having said that, it is worth a visit but do it with a tour guide.
Loved the Doge’s Palace. Incredible building and history. We spent a couple of hours here listening to the audio and wandering around admiring the beauty of this place! Would recommend!
Stunning paintings, history and exhibits. You can feel the weight of history throughout each room. The Cafe has good food and cheap water.
Guilano, our guide, was an amazing story teller and the reason the tour was an absolute amazing experience! The basilica and palace are unbelievable places and a must visit.
Valentina was smart, thoughtful, funny, and engaging, all while negotiating other groups, stragglers within ours, and people not following the rules.
Valentina was super ! Very knowledgeable and attentive to the group ! Best way to see the sites of Venice!
