Elisabetta was a great guide. The whisper devices were a huge help, I loved that I could drift a bit to take a quick photo but still hear what was said. She was very accommodating and stopped as the group needed, pointed out useful things like the good and bad atms to use. And was also of course very knowledgeable. I appreciated that she wanted to take us to less crowded, less touristy areas. I would definitely recommend her for any Venice tour!

Itinerary
Basilica di San Marco – Marvel at the golden mosaics and Byzantine splendor of Venice’s most famous church. Learn about the relics of Saint Mark, the history of the building, and the symbolism hidden in every detail of the façade and interior. Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale) – Discover the political and artistic heart of the Venetian Republic. Hear stories of intrigue, justice, and power as we explore the palace courtyards and the Bridge of Sighs. The Clock Tower (Torre dell’Orologio) – Gaze up at this 15th-century marvel and understand its role in Venice’s timekeeping and astrological traditions.
As we leave the crowds behind, we’ll dive into the quieter, more intimate calli and campielli, discovering how everyday life unfolds just steps from the monumental. Along the way, your guide will reveal fascinating stories of noble families, political intrigues, and curious legends that shaped the city. Our path winds through charming alleys and across picturesque bridges until we reach Campo Santa Maria Formosa, a lively square where history, architecture, and local life converge. Admire the unique church façade blending Renaissance and Baroque styles, and learn about the mysterious origins of its name—“Formosa” meaning "beautiful"… but the story behind it is far from ordinary.
The iconic Rialto Bridge, the oldest and most famous in Venice — discover its secrets and legends. The bustling Rialto Market, where Venetians have bought fresh fish and produce for centuries. Let’s talk about food, spices, and traditions! Hidden corners and back alleys most tourists miss — hear stories of merchants, lovers, and intrigue. Glimpses of daily Venetian life in a neighborhood still loved and lived in by locals. Want to end your walk with a glass of wine and some cicchetti (Venetian tapas)? I can arrange that too — just let me know!

Elisabetta is the real deal! She is a wealth of information and has a fun and spirited delivery. Helpful tips and recommendations for out-of-the way spots away from tourists are her super-powers. Elisabetta is our go-to guide whenever we visit Venice with groups.
I can't recommend Elisabetta enough!!!! From the moment I contacted Elisabetta earlier in 2024 she was very helpful. Even keeping in contact before we arrived, with helpful tips. I was travelling with my two teenagers, she kept the tour personable, relevant and interesting tailoring the tour for us. It was lovely to have a local Venetian tour guide that could share her personal knowledge and experience. I would highly recommend Elisabetta to any first time visitors or for future visits and you want to explore something specific. She also met us at our hotel, which was refreshing when you are discovering a new destination. I did quite a bit of research into tours and guides and Elisabetta's name kept coming up, and I can see why she was great !! :-)
A Venician citizen with knowledge and passion taking you in an unforgettable tour, you must contact her if you are planning to visit Venice
Elisabetta was a informative, flexible and friendly guide! She is truly a local and her knowledge of Venice is extensive! She is warm, friendly and worth the expense of a private tour!
Elisabetta was AMAZING! She was very knowledgeable, wonderfully entertaining, and showed us a side of Venice that only locals get to see. Do not hesitate to book a tour with her. She will not disappoint!!
Elisabetta Amadi is the real deal. This was my first time in Venice and I was very fortunate to be a part of her tours of the city during my visit. I have had Elisabetta as a tour guide before outside of Venice with group tours, and based on my wonderful excperiences then, I was so delighted to be able to have her guide me in touring and navigating her native and home city of Venice. She is extremely knowledgeable about Venice; the city, the culture, the people and it's history. As a first time visitor, she will guide you and give you important tips and tricks of navigating the city along with the "dos and don't". She also is very kind and helpful answering any questions you may have with a professional, delightful and caring manner. I highly recommend Elisabetta Amadi for your tour guide needs!
This is the second time with Elisabetta as my guide and I wouldn’t go with anyone else. She is absolutely amazing at her job. Super knowledgeable about a range of European history and culture; especially in Venice. Personable beyond belief. Fun. A great sense of humour. And above all, she has a way of making you comfortable no matter how different the culture and people are from what you are used to. I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Elisabetta!
Elisabetta Amadi is the Real Deal - a true Venetian! She is very knowledgeable and explains complex history, architecture, culture, art, and current evets with ease. She is personable, attractive, energetic, and fun. Our group of 5 adults waked with Elisabetta through several sestieri areas, seeing many sites, beautiful backstreets and small canals as we enjoyed snacking on Cicchetti and drinking regional wines along the way. I highly recommend Elisabetta as your guide to make your Venice visit a memorable one (venicewithbetty.com)
Elizabetta was warm and gracious. He knowledge is vast and she makes the history of Venice come alive. She showed us some very “un-touristy” things to do and places to eat. We highly recommend spending some of your time in Venice with Elizabetta.
I highly recommend booking a city tour with Elisabetta as soon as you arrive in Venice. She is so full of knowledge of the city and its history. You can do the main sights on your own with headsets. It is much better to get the overall experience of Venice with Elisabetta.
Elisabetta was a superb guide. She was super friendly, flexible, helpful and accommodating when our children (3 and 6) threw a curve ball at the original plan. We got a great feel of the local culture and Elisabetta was very knowledgable of Venice and it's history. We would highly recommend a tour with Elisabetta!
Elisabeth was a wonderful guide! She told us all the wonderful history of Venice, talked to us about the culture and what it's like to live in Venice and showed us the best places to visit fir dining and shops (and which to avoid). We actually did two tours with Elizabeth's, a Cincetti dining and a tour of the city and the basilica. If we're ever in Venice again, we can't wait to follow up with her.
A great experience with Elisabetta. Extensive knowledge of Venice and receptive to showing us the areas that were requested. Friendly, excellent command of English and great sense of humor.
Seeing amazing History and parts of Venice that I could not find on my own. I enjoyed learning more about the city from a local, lots of great information.
To see he real Venice I would highly recommend booking a tour not only to see the popular sights but to get better acquainted with the local area and to learn new insights that you would not get to know without a local guide. Elisabetta was the best! Not only a local Venetian, Elisabetta gave some great insights to the popular sites of Venice but also interesting facts on the Venetian way of life, culture and traditions. She has great knowledge of the area and gave me some great tips of places to visit which were not so touristy allowing to experience the real Venetian life. Elisabetta is a true professional and fun companion to explore this beautiful city. Highly recommended!!!
Discover the city with a person who really wants to share his enthusiasm and knowledge. She does it in French and adapts to our desires and rhythm. A little history, anecdotes, a practicality and something to find out about if you stay a few more days
La vivacité et la capacité d’adaptation d’Elisabeth à ses clients Sa connaissance de sa ville. Elie a su nous partager son enthousiasme et nous donner envie de partir à la découverte de cette magnifique ville
Elisabetta is an excellent guide! Experienced, friendly, lively, she 100% involves you in the tour. If you have never been to Venice or if you have already been there, but want to know another side of the Serenissima, I recommend you to have this experience with Eli. And there's more! If you are a runner and want to know Venice "in a hurry", there is no better guide! Unique experience for me to run in the evening in winter with Elisabetta listening to the history of palaces and fields in the Giardini area. In short: super, super, super!
Not only native, but Elizabeth is more than a professional guide. She is also human, possesses a world of historical and artistic information, legends and stories of Venetian folklore, and being born and raised in Venice, she makes the city live and relive before your eyes. Warning: her sense of humor and laughter are contagious, you will feel like you have known her forever! No matter how much you already know Venice, Elisabetta will surely add a lot to your luggage.
