Hop aboard a comfortable and spacious Mercedes minivan for the scenic journey from Venice. Stop in Cortina d’Ampezzo, the town that will host the next Winter Olympic Games in 2026. Stroll along the most prestigious and famous street in the Dolomites, the pedestrian area of Corso Italia. Enjoy some free time for a walk or a coffee in this charming and renowned town. Next, head to Lake Braies, the largest lake in the Dolomites and among the most beautiful in Italy, where you can take a walk around the lake or simply sit and relax by the shore while admiring the magnificent scenery. Continue on to Lake Misurina to admire the lake and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the symbol of the Dolomites, before returning to the meeting point in Venice.
Cortina d’Ampezzo, nicknamed the “Queen of the Dolomites,” is the largest and most famous of the 18 towns that make up Ladinia, as well as a renowned winter and summer tourist destination. It is the stage for numerous internationally significant events related to the mountains and winter sports. It hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics and, together with Milan, will host the 2026 Games. Enjoy some free time to stroll through this picturesque and famous mountain town.

Itinerary was great, we saw some of the most beautiful sites. Aside from being a lovely person, our guide made sure we are comfortable and had wifi the whole trip. All the historical facts are the cherry on top.
Stefania was a true treasure! She shared so much knowledge throughout the entire day! The van was large and immaculate. The first two stops were outstanding - Cortina and Lake Braies. The third stop could definitely be skipped with 30 additional minutes being added to the Cortina stop and easily an additional 30-45 minutes at Lake Braies. We loved Cortina but you feel a bit rushed and Lake Braies is spectacular with options to walk around the lake, a solid hour moderate hike and/or row in boats on the lake. They also have outdoor eating venues with spectacular views. The food service is fast which helps although it is SO beautiful that you really want to enjoy and indulge in lunch, followed by the hike or a boat row. Doing both puts you in a pinch on time. Imagine being at a luxury ski resort for only 90 minutes or so! I believe everyone in our van LOVED the day a well as Stefania. You should know it is VERY mountainous driving with hairpin curves therefore if you are prone at all to car sickness you should prepare for the trip properly. You travel by van (we had a full size luxury Mercedes) which allows Stefania to drive the roads like a regular car - very different than driving by bus motorcoach. This tour is a MUST do without a doubt!
We had an amazing experience with this you’re . Stefania and her husband have curated a great route with a mix of Olympic town, scenic lake and Dolomites. One of the highlights of our week stay in Venice. Do not miss it!
The best experience per dollar cost that I have had in a long time. I am a frequent traveler. I was impressed with the majesty even after researching the area.
"Fantastico." Great experience. Stefania was wonderful. Must see.
This is a must do trip especially if you’ve never been to the Alps. Stephania was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the area. Her associate Massamino was great also. The tour stopped at places with amazing views and they gave us enough time to explore, eat, shop, take photos, and admire the beautiful Dolomites. Her van was spotless and comfortable. The trip was well worth the money. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend!!!
Wonderful just WONDERFUL! Its the best way to experience the Dolomites if you dont have enough time and energy to hike. Doesn’t involve too much walking so you can actually wear a nice dress and i just even wore flat sandals. Our tour guide was very informative and is such a good driver. She brought us almost to the peak with such ease and grace!!! 😍
Thank you Stefania for a terrific day! Just a short ride out of the city and we were in the most magical mountains. You shared details and history of region. Loved seeing where the Olympics were held, took a nice hike, and got to the highest point a car can reach on Dolomites.
Amazing day trip experience from Venice!! 10/10 would reccomend. Estefania and Massimo were so friendly and knowledgeable.
Stefania was very knowledgeable about the area and pointed out many interesting things along the way. I felt like we had plenty of free time to explore on our own however I would have liked a little more time in Lake Braies if you walked around the lake so you didn’t feel rushed to eat. Stefania also went off script and took us up the mountain to the highest point you could go by car and the views were amazing. This tour was in the top two trips we did while in Italy and I would highly recommend it.
This was a beautiful tour. We were absolutely amazed by the Dolomites and loved our guide Stefania (And driver Massimo). She was very knowledgeable on the Dolomites and it was an enjoyable drive to our destinations. Highly recommend.
Stefanie was so great - amazing driver and very knowledgeable! All the stops were well organized and it was great to hit highlights of the Dolomites!
Stefania was an outstanding tour guide! She has in depth knowledge of the area of the Dolomites, having lived nearby for a number of years. She customized the route to maximize our time in the most scenic spots and allowed plenty of time for photos. This tour was truly worthwhile and one we will long remember.
Great trip around the Dolomites, very beautiful. Our guide Stefania was amazing, very knowledgeable, nice, and funny. Highly recommend.
What a fantastic day and well worth the time to tour these gorgeous mountains. The small town of Cortina was fun and walkable. Lake brais was fantastic. All the stops were just great. Perfect day.
Stefania and Massimo were absolutely wonderful! Their service was exceptional, with great attention to detail and a genuine passion for making the experience memorable. Stefania was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting information along the way. Both were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the tour. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!
We had a great day seeing and hearing about everything along our route to the Dolomites. We stopped in Cortina and went for a walk through the Olympic Village. Upon arriving at Braies we walked around the lake, followed by lunch at Emma’s. Very reasonably priced. We rode with Stefania. Both she and Massimo had late model Mercedes Benz vans. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. On our way back to Venice we stopped for gelato in Longarone. Some of the best gelato we’ve had on our trip so far. My wife and I could not have felt more welcome.
This was the most comprehensive tour of the dolomites we have come across. We covered every main aspect of this region in just one day. The mini bus was spacious and comfortable with wifi provided. There were plenty of small breaks and photo opportunities ( including Lake Landro and Lavaredo) between the two main events of Cortina and Lake Braies. We had a good coffee at the Embassy bar at Cortina where a clean and well signed toilet is available. Research where the Olympic rings are before going as you are dropped off and left to explore completely on your own. At lake Braies we spent much of our time in line for the row boats as we arrived just after a large tour bus but it was so worth the wait. You cannot fully appreciate the crystal clear water and the perspective of the mountains from the lake from its edges. The walk around although beautiful pales in comparison to the experience of rowing out on the breathtaking Lake.
Stefani was amazing. Very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information about the area. Gave us plenty of time to walk around the lake and still have time to eat. Also, had some time to do some shopping in Cortina.
Stephania, what an amazing guide and driver! Took us to a couple of areas on the way but not included. The weather was overcast early but broke when we arrived at Cortina, what a quaint town, reminded me of Vermont in the USA. The Dolomites were stunning and the light reflecting them was beautiful. Then on to Lake Braies the water and the reflection was so peaceful. Definitely worth the cost! Thanks so much ❤️
This experience was amazing. Stephania was extremely knowledgable about the entire region and was an excellent driver. We loved that it was only 8 people in our van and we felt like it was a private tour. She showed us many beautiful sites, shared interesting stories and gave us a great history of the Dolomites. Highly recommend this trip with Stephania.
Stefania was an amazing guide through the Dolomites, a spectacular mountain range we will never forget. The day started rainy and foggy, which made us think we would miss the views. Luckily, a few hours into our journey, the skies cleared and revealed the breathtaking Dolomites... wow! Do NOT miss the chance to see them if you're in Venice. We would highly recommend this tour with Stefania, who was fun and really cared about her group having a great experience. Thank you so much! And thank you for the Nutella stop! : )
Such a beautiful day! Tour guide and transportation was stellar! Stephania was fantastic! Maurizo driver was great! Very accommodating! I would highly recommend this tour! I wish there was an over night option! I will certainly cherish the experience.
Stefania and Mossimo did a great job driving us through the Dolomites and telling us all the history of the region from the building and rebuilding of towns and all the fun facts about the mountain names and creation of tiramisu, margarita pizza. They took great care to keep us on time and comfortable. It was a manageable group size and glad it wasn’t a big bus. Beautiful lakes and vistas and glad I picked this tour option!
We had a great tour and the views were awesome. Our tour guide Stefano was excellent. We would recommend to enjoy if you want to see the area, spectacular!
Lake braies is a wonderful and peaceful place with rowing boats and beautiful mountain views. Had a wonderful time with family. Dolomites itself is a peaceful and lovely place. I have no words for Dolomites. We enjoyed every bit spent in Dolomites.
Cristina (I believe that was the tour guide’s name) was amazing. She took us to all the beautiful places and on the way gave us loads of knowledge about the mountains and places. Plus, she is an excellent driver. The van itself is new and clean, very comfortable ride throughout the trip. I’ll definitely recommend anyone to give this day trip a try. Definitely this trip will forever stay in my heart. 🥹
Great change of pace day trip from Venice. Really nice and comfortable van fit 8 people. Learned a lot about the history of the area and stopped at beautiful places. Cortina was a unique town in the mountains and lake braies was a perfect stop for hiking, row boat, and Austrian food.
We had a wonderful time. The drive was beautiful, the van was super comfortable (with AC and that was a super plus). The views were spectacular and our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.
The trip was incredible. Our guide was so kind and knowledgable! We made plenty of stops for gorgeous photos and saw a good variety of spots along the way. SO WORTH IT to do this day trip from Venice - HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!!
Best Tour & Guide! Stephania has a wealth of knowledge about culture & history & made every moment count!
This tour gave us exactly what we expected. Our guide spoke very good English and integrated little facts from our groups home countries into the tour, which made it seem personalized. The town of Cortina was so fun to see where the Olympics had just taken place. We loved the stop at Lake Braise. After you see Lake Braise the other lakes along the way don’t compare. We obtained so much knowledge from our guide. I want to back and tour the Vajont Damn. I wish there would have been a stop to take pictures of this. I would definitely recommend this tour to others My husband thought it was one of the best tours we have taken.
Everything was exactly as we hoped it would be! Great tour, tour guide and driver. Very comfortable van and accommodating for all!
This experience was beyond everything we imagined. Stefania, who was our guide was incredible. The whole experience was phenomenal. This was recommended by friends and their recommendation was correct.
Outstanding tour! Our guide was so knowledgeable and interesting. A true local who loves the area and helped us love it as well. The van was punctual and comfortable. We had a fabulous day that exceeded our expectations. Unforgettable experience! Grazie!
Stefania was a wonderful tour guide- she knows the area so well, and knows back roads not every guide may know! Everything was one time - and well planned. She did a great job of describing things on the drive to the Dolomites, the history, details about the Olympic experience for Cortina and the residents - all little gems to soak in. And the views...wow - pics cannot do them justice - it is breathtaking and so beautiful. Would recommend this tour to anyone considering a day trip to the Dolomites - Stefania is 2nd to none in leading the group, and a true highlight of our vacation.
Stephani and Ralph were fantastic. Very knowledgeable and friendly and took us to all the best spots. Thank you so much!
Really impressive husband/wife duo where the wife guides across two comfortable vans with a call on speakers. It was very clever and meant we weren't limited by space from having a huge bus. The stops were nice (though I would've liked more on the way because some of the views were insanely beautiful) and I liked that the organisers told us that vegetarian/gluten free etc. options would be available at Braies without anyone asking. It just shows they've thought about everything. Very beautiful and I would do it again if I was low on time but wanted to see the Dolomites. Grazie!
The tour was fantastic. A very knowledgeable tour guide on history and the geologic formations. Took us to several incredibly beautiful sites. A highlight of our trip to Italy.
We saw a lot in one day. I was pleased with the experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day tour to the Dolomites! After city-hopping across Italy, the change to beautiful alpine landscape was very welcome! Our tour leader, Stefania(?) and driver Fabio were fantastic, giving us lots of commentary about the different regions we passed by enroute to the Dolomites. The time set aside for us to explore the town on Cortina d'ampezzo and just right. Lake di Braies was a little tight but it is a very packed schedule, so we understand.
Easy drive from Venice to the Dolomites. The lake is stunning. A good hour to hike around the lake or look for good picture spots. Loads of opportunities for great pictures throughout. back by 5 and saw a tone
Amazing pretty private tour got to see many places in short amount of time wish had more time. Guide was pretty knowledgable of all the areas we visited.
Stefania was a wonderful guide on our Dolomites excursion. She gave us such great insights and facts about the region and its history along our journey. She made our journey throughout the day incredible and incredibly easy. This experience has been the highlight of our trip thus far. Can’t say enough great things about her and this trip!
This tour lasted around 9 hours and was well worth the cost for our group of four. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, and we learned about the history of the region while seeing beautiful scenery along the route. Our group was in a large comfortable van. The view from the front seat was great but the people in the back had a little trouble seeing all the mountains that were pointed out while driving. We made frequent stops, though, and our entire group enjoyed the day and the beauty of Cortina and the Dolomite region.
I can’t express how wonderful this tour was! Stefania was so knowledgeable and really went out of her way to show us all the beauty of the Dolomites and really educated us on the background of the areas. She even threw in a special surprise stop that was out of this world beautiful! We felt safe the entire time. We had a terrible situation at the airport in which our luggage had been lost and we happened to mention it during the tour and she had a connection that was able to get us more information about our luggage. She even helped me by interpreting for me when I called the airport about my lost bag! She was God sent! We had all our luggage by that night! God bless that woman! She moved mountains for us and showed us she cared when no one else had. We will be eternally grateful. The tour was beautiful! The Dolomites and Lake Braies are breathtakingly beautiful! And to make it even better the owner is a special beautiful soul! Thank you for your compassion and caring way. God Bless you! We will never forget! -The Pavons
We had an excellent experience on this tour! We were able to see such beautiful places and our tour guide Stephanie was awesome! She took us to all the places and extra photo stops. She made sure we didn’t miss anything even with a member on this tour being late to EVERY SINGLE time he was given! But she never punished the whole group for him.
Great way to see the Dolomites and learn a lot of the history along the way. Transportation was very reliable and comfortable. Stefania was a fountain of knowledge and made the most of our time together.
If you want to see the Alps, do it. This was my favorite tour in all of Italy. Grand majestic beauty to be had! In one day, you'll see the region, learn much from the tour guides (awesome husband/wife team) and see all the beauty. The hills are alive with the sound of music! Don't miss this, so worth the investment and time.
