We had a great time with Massimiliano. He’s very patient and explained exactly how and what to do. We ended up with two lovely necklaces that we could take home and we also bought a lovely glass figurine for a discounted price. It’s a very up close and personal experience, we loved it.

Fantastic class! It was amazing to actually work with the Murano glass and create a souvenir with your own two hands! Our instructor was fantastic, giving very clear instructions so we were safely able to work with the glass ourselves, with some finishing assistance. I can't recommend this experience enough, one of the highlights of our trip

What a fun experience!!! We were able to hear the history of glass work, see a demonstration and participate in making a pendant. The host was very articulate and patient in assisting you. Everything was very safe and we learned a lot about the fragility of glass work. Money well spent! We also purchased a few of his products which he was gracious enough to make sure they were ready to wear and would travel home safely. Definitely do this experience!!!!

The session was just my husband and myself. It was the perfect amount of time! Took up a little bit of the day. Instructor was informative and used a little patience with my tense wife. We walked away with two keepsakes that are really neat! We both were happy we booked this!! Highly recommend!!

I knew I wanted to go to a glass class while in Venice. One that was more small group focused and this looked perfect. Me and my sister attended this amazing class. Massimilia was a patient and helpful instructor. Even though I was a little concerned I might not could complete the task, he was very helpful and attentive. This was easily one of my very favorite part of my first visit to Venice. And the creations we made will be that forever memory and beautiful art piece I can proudly wear and reminisce on this incredible experience. We had a great time during our glass blowing experience! Our instructor was fantastic, personable and took his time to explain everything. This was a wonderful hands on experience, getting to practice some glass making techniques to create our own glass pendants. Then our instructor did a longer demonstration to show us a few more advanced techniques and we were able to buy the small piece he made for a very reasonable and fair price. This was definitely the best way to end our stay in Venice and we would highly recommend this experience!

It was a great experience! Even though I am artistically challenged, my piece turned out so pretty. All of us are happy with what we made. Massimiliano Caldarone was a great teacher. His sense of humor and love for his trade made this class unforgettable.

Tucked away in a small glass shop, this was a beautiful experience. It's a small building, cosy, and the guide did an excellent job of explaining what was happening and why it happens - all in English. After some simulations, we were able to create two glass pendants which he put on a necklace for us, and then he gave us a demonstration of a more complex object. Really beautiful and a memory to keep!

Highlight of our Venice trip!! Such a nice experience, the artist was very welcoming and provided us clear instructions on the process of glass making. My partner was a natural at this and I was not lol! It was a very fun, I’d highly recommend!

This experience was one of the best things we did in Venice. Massimiliano is an amazing artist and patiently worked with us to create a beautiful pendant to take home. We loved learning the art of glassblowing and getting a hands-on tutorial from a master. We had a fun day and were fortunate enough to have a private session. If you want to do more on your vacation than walk around taking photos, I highly recommend this class. You don't want to miss it.

We did this little adventure class before we visited Murano and we had a great time. Massimiliano was informative and instructed us perfectly to help us make a piece of jewelry to take home. This was the first thing we did when we arrived in Venice, and it was the most wonderful experience ever! Massimo was an excellent teacher… Very thorough, safe and patient. We made our own pendant and then we watched him make an octopus which we got to take home with us. I highly recommend this experience as it was Taylor exactly to meet our needs. This was a cool experience that I am glad we did during our time in Venice. It was cool to participate in making a glass pendant that was fairly simple but still involved several steps where we got to actually hold the glass and work with the flame and other tools. The we got to watch a demonstration of the instructor making something much more complicated which was cool.

I was looking g for something memorable for my sons to do. This was perfect! They learned something and got to bro g home a memory.

Loved this experience, such a unique opportunity to do in Venice. Massimiliano was really interesting to get to know, so passionate about his craft, plus he was so patient with us novices, makes you feel really comfortable. It was great at the end to watch Massimiliano create a unique piece of art which we happily snapped up for an extremely reasonable price and now we have as a truly unique glass souvenir. It is an amazing hands on experience and you also get to see a master at work. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

This was a great class. It was small and intimate and our host was funny and focused on keeping us safe and making sure we didn't do anything wrong. At the end you get a masters demonstration of a much more complicated artwork that is amazing to see take shape in front of your eyes. You will get to make a pendant and you will also get a chance for a discount at other works in the shop. (we bought a couple of horses). Noting that murano glass is often counterfeit or mass produced in Venice, its nice to know what you buy with the host is his own making and it makes it a nice piece to have in your office or home.

Massimiliano was such a pleasure to visit with! He explained every step of the process, and made sure that the piece that we walked away with was something that would be structurally secure, but also something beautiful that we created. I loved that this was a small private lesson, and not a large group. The pendant that we made we were able to walk away with at the end of the lesson in case anyone is worried about slow cooling periods. After we did our project Massimiliano let us pick which kind of project we wanted to see him make. It was so fascinating to watch how effortless he makes it look! This was a highlight of my trip to Venice!

It was absolutely stunning watching the artist work. It was really fun trying to do it yourself and the artist guide you calmly to really make the experience even more enjoyable. The artist has a lot of patience so you can feel relaxed and he really puts great effort in not making it feel that you are a novice. There are also many amazing works of art to admire and purchase afterwards.

Massimiliano Caldarone is an artist who shares his art with you for a full experience. You get to feel the glass turn to liquid and then shape it. He patiently teaches so you are prepared and keeps you calm when you want to tense with the actual doing. You end up with a piece you have truly created, selecting your colors and mixing them as you choose. And then you get to watch him perform as an artist. We loved the creation of one of his trademark dancers. His movements matched the music, and we all wanted to take the resulting glass dancer home with us. I definitely recommend this experience. You won’t be disappointed!

This place deserves 6 stars for how good the experience was. It was a little confusing getting there, but we kept walking into the square and found it. We made little pendants and it was very nice. Definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful time! Learning about the history of Murano glass making was interesting, seeing a demonstration was impressive, but being able to make our own pendants (hands on!) was nothing like we’ve ever done before. Our hotel was on Murano for the trip, so we went by a lot of glass making factories and demonstrations. But, we didn’t see a single one that allowed for a hands on experience.

We LOVED this experience!!! Our two teenagers learned how to make glass and they were thrilled!! Mossimo is SO talented, and he was such a great teacher of the art!! He was very patient, explained thoroughly what to do, and was great with our kids. They also loved that they could take home what they made as a beautiful necklace! Book this…you’ll be so glad you did!!

The man is rude, not welcoming, unpleasant and abrupt, he made us feel uncomfortable and we left after 20 min. Viator will not refund us. There are many lovely artists in Venice to choose from.

Massimiliano was a great instructor. It’s mesmerizing watching him work as he demonstrates how to glasswork is done. He helps walk you through the process and ensures you’re safe while working. He had complimentary water, safety glasses if you didn’t have your own glasses, and let you pick the demonstration piece and the glass colors you use to make your pendant. He is very knowledgeable and the experience was definitely worthwhile.

This was an amazing an personalized experience! He explained history of Murano glad, how he got interested and then made a piece from scratch, explaining his process. My husband and I were both then walked through how to make our own take home souvenir. Great experience! Not for children but would definitely recommend to angering wanting a true experience!
