Crafted Gondola Ride Under Breathtaking Bridge Of Sighs™

The experience was good as we saw the totally unique cty of Venice by water on a gondola. The reason for the average rating was that it lasted a total of 20 minutes out of a total of 45 minutes expected. It took as long to check in at the tour office as it did to enjoy the brief ride. Skip this one and fnd one that lasts longer or book one ytourself and negotiate a price that works for you.

Great little trip and defo within market price range. Only thing was the joining instructions weren't too clear how to find the travel booking office and no English speaker, but asked to download an app prior to departure. This was problematic to hear due to busy canels and tourists Pretty views but not informative

We had a wonderful time and the ride was about 40 minutes long—just right.

There is a real problem with communication with this tour. Meeting spots are too vague and the address does not match with the directions they provide. We were told to meet them at a monument but no one was there at the designated time. In addition they make no effort to contact paying customers to meet up with them or answer attempts made to reach them. After attempting to get a hold of them for over 30 minutes we hired another gondola for less money. Completely disorganized and over priced. Do not recommend!!!

I was extremely disappointed in this tour. It stated it was 45 minutes and the tour was 20 minutes max. We spent more time in the office waiting and then walking to the gondola then on the tour itself. You must down the audio guide before you takeoff, otherwise you’re just sitting in a gondola and there is no tour guide part. The other couple with us stated that they felt ripped off when we got out. We agree! Not worth the money.

Fab little tour. Very relaxing. You get a headset with a little VR video about the history of Venice, in the shop before you board the gondala. You also need to download their app if you wish a commentary. Take a ride and enjoy!

We had an interesting virtual reality experience on Venice history and a lovely boat ride in Venice. However, we never went under the Bridge of Sighs.

Met at an office, had to wait 30 mins for a group to gather, then were walked 300m to the boats, split up into 4 and boarded the boat with two young girls, I am a 69 yr old 100% disabled veteran and my wife is 67 yrs old, they sat the two girls on the leather couch facing the front and sat me and my wife in wooden chairs facing each other. I can’t look left or right as my neck is fused. So i sat facing the side of the boat. The boat leaned to my side so bad I felt I was going to fall out. The chair kept tipping back so I held on for my life. The ride was terrible, I did not see anything and was exhausted when we were done. Oh and the Gondolier was on his phone the whole time and the audio guide did not work because there was no internet in the passageways.

Experience was good. I am glad to have done a gondola ride which I have read and seen on movies and tv growing ip. Now I can say, I have been there and done that. The 3-D information before the ride was very helpful and informative. Thank you!

There is no commentary about what you see along the way and nothing of interest is pointed out. Didn’t even know which bridge was the bridge of sighs. The boat ride itself was fine and we appreciated the talent of the gondoliers to navigate those narrow waterways.

Fantastic value for money as we had a gondola to ourselves (2 persons) it was a lovely experience exactly as I imagined.

While the description is not wrong, it was misleading. The 15 minute introduction was a 20 minute VR set and then a 20ish minute gondola ride. It was good but we wish it was longer.

This gondola ride was pretty basic with no conversation between you and the gondola staff. I was expecting maybe a little music, but there was none. Lasted about 30 minutes. I can cross it off my bucket list.

We historical presentation prior to the gondola ride was enjoyable and quite informative. The gondola ride was the last experience of our stay in Venice before flying home and was the perfect ending to our visit!

Amazing gondola experience! The company is very nice. Our Gondola driver was absolutely fantastic and gave us details of Venice even though he didn’t have to! It is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth it!

During our gondola ride they were not able to go under the bridge of sighs but they gave us a nice little ride. Half was on the sea side the other half was in a canal. Our Gondolier was talking more to other Gondoliers that we passed more than engaging with us.

Was very uneventful, no character and the experiece was suppose to go under bridge of soul and did not, Also no disclaimer on stepping into some water to get into the boat at the entry. I would not recommend or use this service again.

We booked the bridge of sighs gondola experience but never got this we went past police station and restaurant when we advised that we did not book this we were told it’s because of the tide ? But all other gondolas were doing this except our one I have photos that other gondolas were doing this at this time also When we arrived to get on our gondola the man said he’s had enough and not doing anymore ???

Terrible! We were not able to go on the experience due to a change of plans that happened less than 24 hours from the trip. I went to the gondola office a half hour before the boat ride. I wanted to give the ride to some friends who could have gone on the ride, but I wasn't allowed to transfer the experience to them. Instead, I was supposed to contact Viator to get a refund. The Viator site was not user friendly, and I was in Europe on a cruise, so I couldn't call to speak to someone about why I wasn't able to take the boat ride. I was super upset by the whole experience, especially since I could not gift the ride to someone else. I lost $192 over all of this! I can't believe that I had to waste the experience rather than share it with someone. Then, the refund experience was a mess online. I couldn't call. So disappointed! I have used Viator many times, but no more!

It was a nice, bucket list thing to do. You can't go to Venice and not take a gondola ride. But it wasn't as enchanting as I thought it would be. The canal was busy, too many boats at once, like bumper to bumper road traffic. Gondola operators were enjoying lots of fun banter between themselves, instead of any dialog with us. Maybe that's ok, but I just expected more. And for some reason it was hard to find. It was not in St Mark's Square.

Great trip, nice to see Venice from the canals. Impressive how well they maneuver the gondolas.

Don’t waste your money. There was no guide. The trip was short. We didn’t see much. Not worth $47.

Tour operator never showed up

I liked the 3D interactive, but the price seemed high for what it was, and the punter was grumpy and just chatting on his phone the whole time. But, we were on a Gondola in Venice... no other options of ways to do that.

They gave us virtual reality goggles with audio. The fun part was the immersive 360° video. The informative part was all being taught with the video/audio. The peaceful part was the Gondola Ride. It was lovely and serene. 100% recommend. 💜

I really enjoyed the virtual info on Venice however I did not bring my earbuds with me so I missed the commentary you needed to download. The gondola ride was great, I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't the advertised 45min.

Our guide didn’t speak a word to us. The trip was advertised for 45 minutes, but we waited in the office for over 20 minutes to leave for the gondola. So, in essence, we were on the gondola for less than 25 minutes. Not worth your money. Terrible customer service, as in none. Obviously, beautiful bc in Venice, but really do you have to try hard? Pretty dang disappointing. Oh well! The regular gondolas are 90 euros per boat for 30 minutes for a better experience.

If you're alone, it is a good deal because you can make a gondole turn for half the Price it would have cost you. But since the time, you're two or more, best deal to directly take a gondole tour directly in the street of Venise. Maybe the tour was closer from 20 minutes than the promised 30 minutes.

Short gondola ride through the canals, which was interesting, but the gondolier provides no information and you have to download an app to understand what you’re seeing and personally found that distracting. Felt like a real world version of Disney’s it’s a small world ride, would probably opt out of it again, but if you’ve never been on a condo and the canals, you might want to check it out.

The Viator lady’s at the office were very helpful, but the Gondolier was very rude and made the experience unpleasant. Because if this would not do this tour again.

I got this experience for my granddaughter. My husband and I took her to Italy. I booked this experience for the 3 of us. It was $50 each. Imagine my surprise that we had to share the ride with a couple. They got the big seat and we sat facing each other knees touching. Sat so close that pictures were impossible. We felt cheated.

I felt that we did not get what we thought we were to get. Once arriving at the meeting place staff were polite. Then off to the gondola, we did not have to wait long to board. Our guide never said a word to us, spoke plenty to the guides in the other boats. There was never a hello, thank you for choosing us, nothing. There was nothing to indicate that we were passing a point of interest or an interesting story. I personally was very disappointed. I would not recommend if you are looking for an informative tour.

We had a lovely ride with Alberto. He was friendly and polite. And shared he’s been a gondolier for 46 years! It was a relaxing ride thru canals enjoying the sights of Venice.

Shared gondola, max 5 persons, preceded by a short information video. Great value for money compared to booking individually.

The whole experience was one of just commercial in and out move people thru like cattle. Purchased these tickets because was not sure in coming to Venice if we were going to just walk up and get a Gondola ride on the spot. Our lodging was not that close to Piazza San Marco so had a long walk. All is very busy in Venice of course, but this operation was just very commercial and not very personal. In retrospect, we could have just grabbed a Gondola ride near our lodging, on the spot, without having to go all the way to Piazza San Marco. I would suggest to anyone who stays in parts of Venice that are not too busy to do this instead of booking with a commercial operation.

Trip was awesome! Our Gondolier was terrific! Be on time and enjoy. There is no bathroom do make sure you prepare as there is one not too far

Weather was challenging. Rain and lightning. They decided to push forward and a forty minute ride turned into 15 minutes. Got drenched.

Organised chaos. We waited 30 minutes in the tour operators office for people to download the app before we were taken down to the water. Waited again for the ride which was only 25 minutes and didn’t complete the route the downloaded map said it would take. The gondolier did not speak to us. Despite all of this it was lovely to ride in a gondola in Venice

We booked a 45 minute ride and barely got 25 minutes. The gondola driver wasn’t friendly at all. Never even spoke to us except to say bye.

I couldn’t book it because something happened when I paid, but my card was charged. Waiting for you to credit back my card.

Booking this through a tour company added extra to this gondola ride. We started at the tour office with a VR history of Venice. Then the person at the office explained the significance of the gondola design. Finally we went to our gondola passing many people in line. The journey was peaceful, quiet and away from the busyness of the Grand Canal. It was a lovely ride. I would have done it again if they had let me.

We enjoyed our gondola ride. It was simple, quaint and peaceful. The guy who paddled was a delight and made our ride enjoyable. Beautiful scenery.

Our tour was scheduled for 6pm but we didn’t actually get in our gondola and start the tour until 6:30pm. We were unaware that in order to hear about the sites, we would need to download the audio and have earphones for our personal devices. Needless to say, I didn’t hear the information and only got to see the sites. Also the tour states 45 minutes but our tour lasted 20 minutes. Huge disappointment and too costly for such a short trip!

Sadly our first impression of our gondolier was disappointing. He didn’t wear any traditional clothes. Just track pants and a jacket. This was the moment and picture we had been waiting for. He spoke loudly to other gondoliers all of the trip. No interaction with any of us, we had a shared ride. My recommendation is find an area you love and choose your own gondolier (there is plenty to choose from).

Missed the tour as I couldn’t find the group at Calle Rasse. They were not helpful in contacting me either. I arrived at 11.28am and no one was there.

Arrived to the meeting point a few minutes early and were told to wait a little. Then they checked us in and we waited longer. Walked down to the docks the we stood around and waited longer… the gondola driver seems annoyed and didn’t want to be there. He spoke 3 words to us the entire ride. Ride was supposed to be 30 mins, he had us back to the dock in 23. Idk there’s lots of Gondoliers all over Venice. I would suggest using one with a personality and one that doesn’t make you wait almost an hour to board.
