This discovery tour by Kayak is easy to handle and not too tiring. We will meet in Venice and reach together Sant'Erasmo island by water bus. Before starting the guided kayak tour, you will be informed about kayak manoeuvring techniques, safety and rules of navigation in the lagoon. As we paddle our kayaks we will reach several lagoon islands through the salt marshes and in the company of the wildlife in the lagoon. We will stop several times to admire the nature and some hidden spots you can reach only by kayak while hearing stories about people still living on these islands and historical explanation about each place. The main attraction we will visit together will be on Sant’Andrea island, which hosts a 16th-century fortress in the middle of the lagoon, a magnificent defensive infrastructure you can only reach by small private boats or kayaks. We will visit all these hidden gems that only locals know from a very special point of view, directly in contact with nature. Kayaking in the lagoon also means to discover the intimate part of Venice, the most hidden and beautiful places, without any negative environmental impact.
Had a tour in the morning, we were only 4 people and our guide gave us a wonderful tour. We got to know a bit about the less touristy islands which we didn’t even know. Even tho kayaking for 3 hours is very exhausting, we had a great time and it was really magnificent :)
This was a truly unique experience. My wife and I have kayaked in other countries but this was the most interesting. We got to see a part of venice that we would have completely missed. The lagoon is part of venice that too many tourists don't see and it's a pity as it's such a natural wonder. Valerio was a fantastic guide. He helped us understand the launching point at St Erasmo, which is incredible all in of itself, and then safely guided us in the kayak tour around the island to beautiful hidden spots and finally to a beautiful locals only beach. Valerio is a must to book as a guide if you want to see more of Venice than just San Marcos square!

I did this kayak tour around the Venice lagoon with two friends from the UK... a truly great time overall, and that despite some epic mosquito battles! Our guide Valerio was just the best you could ask for: - flexibility around the time and format of the tour, - perfect communication before and during - we had all the information, and in all the languages, - great instructions and care for safety when it came to the actual kayaking, - plenty of facts and anecdotes about the history of the different islands of the lagoon, - clear interest in providing us with the best experience - pictures, life-saving mosquito repellent, a beer stop, even an impromptu swim stop, - lots of suggestions for the rest of our stay, recommendations for places to go, - could hardly have been more engaging! Absolutely recommend :)

Absolutely recommend!! We saw Venice from a completely different angle and it was an incredibly great experience! The tour was the perfect length and was very easy to do even for beginners.
It was a wonderful day for us by the water and in nature. We felt very well looked after and cared for, received a thorough introduction to the paddle technique, felt that a great deal of importance is placed on our safety. Learned a lot about the lagoon as a biological system and about history. It was exciting, entertaining and sustainable. We can recommend it to anyone. Valerio takes into account the individual needs and wishes of guests, young and old. Probably his garden tour of Venice is just as exciting, unfortunately we can't make it this time, maybe on the next visit.
We did a beautiful kayak tour with Valerio. He showed us many beautiful places of the lagoon. We were allowed to experience nature with all our senses. Valerio is a very professional guide. Safety is paramount - yet the fun factor is not lost. After the adventurous tour there was a surprise stop on the sandy beach where we could still swim. Valerio gave us a lot of information about Sant’Erasmo and the surrounding island. He had everything organized excellently and you can tell that he enjoys his work.

SO MUCH FUN! The whole afternoon was mega fun from A-Z. And also the young people were totally enthusiastic! Valerio thought the whole kayak tour through well, instructed us well and guided us with a safe hand in our kayaks through the lagoon and the canals. The little detour to Fort S. Andrea offered a bit of adventure and a great view. Some of them were good in the end by the short sponge, others especially the pizza ;-). We can highly recommend the trip!
Our sympathetic guide Valerio won't let beginners get the better of him and knows the answer to every question. Due to the small group size, the care is optimal. The kayak tour around Vignole shows the lagoon and the view of Venice from a whole new perspective. The subsequent swim on the beach was the crowning achievement!

L’organisateur, Valerio, très sympathique, connaît parfaitement son sujet et la pratique du kayak, qu’il explique très bien, même à un néophyte comme moi. Une demi-journée fantastique en communion avec la nature et l’histoire très riche de cette partie de la lagune.
We had a great time with this kayak tour in Venice lagoon. We were accompanied by Valerio , really a great guide. He not only gave us the necessary safety advice but also made us discover places not accessible in normal times and a little local history. An off-the-beaten-track activity that is definitely worth it.

Was totally good! Our guide Valerio introduced us bloody beginners to the art of kayaking. Then our small four-person group left. From S. Erasmo to Vignole, on canals through to Fort S. Andrea, visit the fort with fantastic views and back across the free lagoon. After all, we had delicious pizza from a converted ape. Was a really great day!
Discovering the Venice lagoon by kayak is a priceless experience. For Venetians and not, in love with the city and its surroundings, it is highly recommended.
