What to know: You'll meet the cruise boat at the listed port spot. There are a few boats with the same company logo, and it appears they "make the rounds" for the 3 Islands, along with other stops. Yes, there is a guide per boat, so when a different boat comes to pick you up at the islands at the designated time they give you, you'll still have a guide. It's self-paced while on the islands, except for the glass-blowing demo on Murano. This is a great way to see those islands, but you'll also see the "other side" of Venice on your way! 100% recommend!!

Reviews
E-tickets received in good time and instructions on where to meet. Name of tour provider not immediately clear which caused some confusion but we soon resolved that. Good boat, with bathroom facilities. Enjoyed the glass blowing display but left very little time to explore Murano. Had more time in Burano which is a very pretty island. Final stop was Torcello, this was our favourite island as so picturesque and a lot of history but regrettably there wasn’t time to go into the museum and explore this further. Overall, a good day but could have been improved
On the day we had booked, the weather was awful (pouring rain, wind and quite cold), but being British we still went. Burano was lovely to wander around. Get off the main street and wander around the side streets/canals. Very pretty. We were taken to a shop for a lace making demonstration, but that lasted less than 5 minutes before they launched into a sales pitch (although not high pressure). Given longer, it would have been good to visit the Lace Museum. Next we spent just over an hour on Torcello. Unfortunately there was a lot of scaffolding in the church as under restoration, and the weather was awful, so we spent most of the time in a lovely little canalside cafe recommended by our guide, which had some resident cats looking for a warm lap. In Murano, we had an excellent glass blowing demonstration, and there was no selling, although there was a showroom/shop to look round. Other than a church, there is just a long street of glass shops to meander round, but not on a cold, wet day!
Great experience in the boat. Guides are great and speak many languages. Murano is very interesting and will require more than 1 hour to seeing glasses factory and main river part. Burano is a must see. Colored house and many restaurant are very pleasant. You have enough time to enjoy a lunch and chill. Torcello is useless. Nothing much to see. I tried to visit the basilica but everything was under construction and they charged me 16 euros for the family. That’s a scam ! So in conclusion spend time in Murano Burano and enjoy the trip.
Brilliant full day, lots of time to explore 3 very different and very beautiful places Educational, fun, great experience
An amazing time overall, a little more time at murano would have been good but please ignore comments about Torcello being pointless, here I Visited two museums and a church, all islands had lots to offer and for the price I would definitely recommend! Staff friendly and helpful.
Too much time spent at the first glass shop which we were ushered to after the glass demo coming off the boat. if i knew there was a lot more glass shop outside i would just gone right outside and explored the beautiful Murano Island. definitely worth spending more time there, Burano was vey pretty with their coloful houses, Torcello was not worth spending time there. Lunch stop would been much better in Murano. Really loved Murano once we discovered there was an outside the glass shop..... ahhhhh. Really recomend Murano and Burano.
Very difficult to find the right boat. The boat personnel were not helpful. The guide tells loudly in 5-6 languages everything you see while riding the boat and it is non-stop loud chatter. Glass demonstration was very brief and few techniques were described. We don’t recommend.
Very disappointing and was a waste of time. Spoke with others that said the same thing. "Tour" was only on the boat and Torcello was absolutely a waste of time. NOTHING TO SEE. Everyone was waiting for the boat at least 30 minutes before meeting time. Too much time in Burano and rushed in Morano. Boats were changed so you didn't know if you were on the right one, especially since our "tour guide" did not stay for the whole trip.
Was not a well organised tour.. Time at Murano was limited.. Too much time at Burano where there was really nothing to do.. Would have been happy to spend more time at Murano rather than Burano.. Torcello was a total waste of time as there was really nothing there to see..
The tour ooerator did show up at the meeting place that was indicated on the ticket. Had to rebook after no show with another tour. Do not book this tour operator!
It is worth the time spent experiencing a little piece of Italy. Great commentary on the history of Italy.
We were at the pu area 20 min ahead along with another couple and no one showed up to take us on the tour. We were able to get another tour luckily with Venetiana SRL Tours but we lost a couple hours for the day due to this tour group.
We booked an English speaking tour but were bombarded with 5 languages every time the guide spoke- then when English came around we’d missed the point of interest. Very disappointing and ended up with a headache from the constant chatter
The tour provided little information and commentary during the journey. It felt more like i was simply being transported from one island to the next without too much real context or insight into the history and culture.
AVOID THIS ONE. Honestly, one of the worst tours I have ever taken. We were promised a tour of Murano, Burano and Torchello. The audio speaker on the boat made the tour guide’s voice impossible to understand so we missed all the historical info. When we arrived in Murano we were only given 1 hour to visit and were ushered into a glass blowing demonstration and then a store - I had really wanted to see a bit more but we had no time. Then we had a few hours in Burano but there is little to see there. It should have been the other way around. And finally Torchello was another hour…just. Save your money and take a ferry by yourself to visit these islands - you will then have all the time you need.
This was the highlight of our trip! Although it's more of a boat trip than a tour as you couldn't really hear the guide on the speaker in the boat because people were too loud. Even though this was the case, the boat trip was great and very good value to see all three islands in one day. Burano was our favourite and we had a lovely time. Murano was too rushed really. And agree with the other reviews you could skip trocello if you're not interested in history as all that's there is a museum (Though a very lovely one at that).
We did the tour just to murano to the glass blowing factory. It was very interesting and we had a chance wander a bit on Murano after the tour
Great day out. One negative is I Didn’t like been hearded upstairs into shop after glass blowing demonstration only to discover we had to come back down stairs and through another shop to exit. Felt this was unnecessary and not great for the elder people on the tour to be forced to walk up and down the stairs. Also would have loved another half hour at murano to browse the shops. Loved burano and the coloured houses beautiful village. Unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worse before we reached Torcello making it harder to enjoy exploring
Trip itself was ok, but the instructions about the pick up point were very poor and I had to contact support to realize that 10 min before pick Up we were 700 m off.
No needs to spend money for tour, it wasn’t a tour, 100-160 people on the boat , no one could listen any words from tour guide On the islands tour guide show the departure’s time only, no departure point, neither informed, the name and colour of the boat was changed. We just jumped on next boat from the same company. Little bit stressed, we managed our way back thou
If glass blowing is not your thing Murano is a complete waste of time as you don't get to anything else on the island. Burano on the other was a delight and worth the boat fare
We enjoyed watching the glass blowing demonstration in Murano, beautiful coloured houses in Burano, little bit quieter and less things to see and do in Torcello but a good amount of time spent on each island and very friendly people wherever we went. The information says 4 people but it was a boat of more than 50 but that wasn't a problem. About 5 different languages we're spoken by the tour guides and a nice amount of information about the areas was given. Overall, we were glad we went and it was a lovely day out.
we booked the 3 island trip but I would recommend only doing the 2 island trip as I felt torcello was not as an interesting island. the other 2 island are well worth a visit
for the price that we paid it was a great value. It’s a huge group but all info is given while you are on the boat and then you have free time to walk the islands. Murano and Burano were fun . I would skip Torcello , but it’s just me and my preferences. you might enjoy it . Isabella ( our guide) was a superwoman: she guided all people at once and spoke 5 languages. All info was offered in 5 languages. overall: lovely experience
We had planned this and my wife was looking forward to it, found it a bit under whelming after main other sights of Venice and sadley it started to rain, but we did enjoy the glass blowing on Murano and the church on Torcello.
The first 2 islands Murano and Burano were simply stunning. We could have spent the whole day on either. The 3rd island was OK for a quick stop but not much there.
The beautiful islands of Murano and Burano. Simply stunning. Our guide Isobel was very helpful and knowledgeable.
I don't think it is the companies fault but I wouldn't suggest especially if you are in Venice for short duration and for the first time. The tour was 25 Euros per person and when you visit these three islands in one day, you spend lots of time on ship. You don't have a lot of time on the islands, I would prefer spending more time in Murano and Burano. Only advantage is the glass factory and the live demonstration/show which I think doesn't worth the extra money when compared to the cost of normal transportation. After the demonstration, tour continues to the shop of the factory, I think it is kind of tourist trap. The tour makes you think the things in the shop are special for that factory, Maybe not everything but most of the things in factory shop can be found in any other souvenir shop in Venice, for cheaper price. The ship was OK and the crew were nice but I think doesn't worth the money in the end.
Unfortunately the day of the tour was very thick fog, which meant we couldn’t see much in the boat ride to the islands - totally not the fault if the tour operators
Another great experience with Viatour! You haven’t seen Venice until you take it to the water and visit Murano, Burano and Torcello! Too amazing to describe. You’ll just have to book this tour! Talk about a bang for your buck!
The guide only gave info while on boat and did not accompany on the islands. Nowhere it was written that he will only give commentary only on boat.
Experience not worth the money! From romantic get away to a story of 12 passangers being left 2/3 into the trip in Burano, despite of being there 15 min. earlier to catch the boat, because the company does not advise that they are changing boats, apparently even a boat not under the company brand is in use, well a group of 12 customers did not go to Torcello despite paying full price for the service. Most importantly- The phones for emergency were switched off, and the one that was working was going we found on the side of another boat from the company that was passing by and not in the port. After waiting for over 30 min pass the time for departure and no success reaching the company over the phone, we were advised by another tour guide for another group, fromnthe company who just arrive that they are switching boats and that we should catch another bone in another 40 min to go back to Venice and we should skip Torcello
Thoroughly enjoyable and organised day. Booked railway station pick up as was close to our hotel. dissapointed that we had to change at St Marks square, thought it was straight through.
The glass experience in Murano was great to watch and go around shopping. Burano stole the show with its colorful houses and lovely people
Whilst this wasn’t so much a tour, more just transportation to and from each island; it ended up being the best day of our trip. Great start time, not too early and enough time to find the meeting point. Slightly confusing as the meeting point was ‘opposite Palazzo Cornoldi’ but no such name existed when searching on a map. Managed to find the spot under ‘Caserma Cornoldi’ on Apple Maps, an orange building. That being said, we arrived about 30 mins before the meeting time and it was easy to find our guide wearing a lanyard with the company logo on so not as difficult to track down as we thought. For the money, the trip was incredible value for money as it lasted all day and included a short demonstration at the glass blowing factory at Murano. Had an hour on Murano, 2 hours on Burano and an hour on Torcello which was perfect. Burano really is the main attraction and there was loads of time to have lunch and walk the whole island. Torcello was just enough time to walk across the main path and have a coffee in one of the little bar/cafes. Whilst on the boat, there was multilingual commentary that had some interesting quick facts but it was a very large group and the multiple languages (about 5) on the speaker made it a little difficult to follow in the noise of the group and boat. Guides were good at making sure we knew the departure time from each island before getting off the boat but think some clarification was needed on Murano of how to get back to the boat (naturally after the glass demonstration, you walk out of the factory and onto the island but to depart, you must go back through the factory). All being said, would recommend this to anyone that has more than 2 days in Venice as we found ourselves running out of things to do by the end of our trip and this was a great way to fill some time, see some sights and experience Burano.
Simple to follow instructions to join, friendly live commentary in four languages and spacious boats so all in all a well organised trip. Time on all three islands to get a flavour of them and decide which to visit again on a future visit.
Nice day out exploring the 3 islands. Probably could have used a bit more time on Murano but otherwise it was a good day out without having to try and figure out the logistics of doing this on our own.
The staff were not very friendly but the boat trip was good. The 3 islands were nice but very expensive. Better off buying stuff in the weekly market.
It is definitely worth visiting the Islands, especially Murano and Burano. In addition to the beauty of the islands themselves, the craftsmanship in blown glass and the embroidery takes your breath away.
Very well the excursion especially very punctual, explained in several languages The large and comfortable boat
Excursion at the top, very interesting to see a glass blow at work! The 3 islands are amazing, especially Burano! I recommend, everything is clear and indicated!
glass blower, then picturesque colors pui spiritual atmosphere and serene to finish..the experience was top!
A beautiful day! Everything is punctual and organized, beautiful islands glass blower top burano was just beautiful
Organization of the excursion of the three islands very good, the Andrea Guide very helpful and prepared, only small drawback the stay in Murano, too short.
Bellissima esperienza in localita' incantevoli. Burano con le sue case colorate rievoca i paesaggi fiabeschi. Tutto bello!!
