This was an amazing hotel. The location is PERFECT for exploring Venice. Super close to St Marks Square and just a few bridges to cross to get to other major sites. Lots of great bars and restaurants near by. High end luxe shopping is just down the street as well! The staff are super friendly. The desk and breakfast staff made me feel so welcome and safe. It was the kind of place they know your name after a couple of days. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable.
The staff was extremely helpful & friendly. Spoke great English. They even helped prepare a special breakfast for my party of 6 in the morning before we were leaving on our long voyage. Would definitely stay again! Great location.
This an outstanding hotel. Our room was excellent, the staff were extremely kind and friendly, and the breakfast was out of this world wonderful. This is one of the best hotels in which I have ever stayed. Everything was fantastic. And, I want to give special recognition to all the ladies who manage and operate the breakfast. The food was fresh and delicious every day. So much so, that even when we had to stay at a differnet hotel on our return to Venice later during our trip, we came back to Hotel Saturnia in the morning for their breakfast. This hotel is exceptional, and should be rated a 5-star establishment in my opinion; it certainly is managed and operated as one. I highly recommend Hotel Saturnia for anyone visiting Venice.
What a lovely hotel located near to the famous St Marks square - and you can have the water taxi bring you straight to the hotel rear entrance which is great (this can be affected by the tides, so best to check on this). The rooms were very nice considering the age of the buildings. The breakfast buffet was extensive and fresh. Best of all was the staff who were warm and yet professional. They went out of their way to help make ones stay a wonderful time. Have stayed here twice and will stay here again soon I hope. The little bar on the ground floor is an icon and a wonderful place to have a spritz while watching the world go by and very reasonably priced.
Hotel Saturnia is pure magic. We arrived by boat at the back entrance feeling like 007 in a wooden motorboat w/ singers singing from the gondolas around us. Leaving was the same cinematic boat pickup with the basilica right there. Perfect central location. Easy walk to San Marco Square, Rialto Bridge and Doge’s Palace. When your legs are tired the hotel is right there. Rooms are classy with cool wallpaper, high ceilings, great bathrooms, strong air conditioning and a private porch overlooking the city. Breakfast is excellent. Squeeze your own orange juice and sit in the peaceful courtyard. Service is wonderful and attentive. The hotel has been family run for generations and feels full of history and charm with its nooks and high ceilings. Leave the big keys at the desk when you go out. Highest recommendation.Roof deck is worth checking out for sure.
