This was the first hotel we stayed in during our Honeymoon. We didn’t realize it was at the very end but it was a great location after walking around and getting used to the area. I highly recommend getting a sea taxi straight to the hotel, we walked with our luggage in the heat and it was not enjoyable nor easy! The hotel itself, was very nicely air conditioned but the rooms are not! We had to take multiple cold showers a day due to the heat outside and in our room. We kept the door shut and the curtains closed all day and still very hot. I brought it up to the desk and they came to check it out and said everything was working. I understand that the weather was very hot outside, but thats the reasoning behind my 2 stars for the room. Breakfast was not included which is kind of shitty considering they offer breakfast but the prices weren’t horrible. We ate out every morning. The outside area was very beautiful and I loved the greenhouse they had. Our room was supposed to have a water view, it slightly did but not really. I had to stand on a chair to see it, lol. Overall, it was a good stay just not anything out of this world.

My family and I stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment managed by the Metropole Hotel. We had a wonderful time! The apartment is charming and beautiful and thankfully air conditioned throughout. The rooms were big and comfortable and although the kitchen was a bit mix and match it had everything we needed. There was a grocery store 10 mins round the corner which was brilliant and saved us some money on eating out. We were 10 mins from St Marks Sq and right by all the vaporettos. This apartment made our holiday feel even more special, many thanks
One-of-a-kind 5-star family owned hotel. The level of service was elevated, and our room had its own rooftop deck with a view of the Lagoon. Our stay was nothing short of amazing. We can’t wait to return!
Wonderful family owned hotel full of old Venice charm and mystery. Exquisitely appointed room recently refurbished (fabric covered walls, fireplace, marble bathroom). Transport to and from the airport. Easy access to gondolas, the vaporetto, and water taxis and walking to most sites and restaurants. Beautiful secluded courtyard. Extensive breakfast buffet with attentive staff. Front desk was very helpful in making special arrangements.
We just returned from a two night post-cruise stay here and it was everything we expected and more. This hotel may not be for everyone as it feels like you are staying in Venice a hundred years ago, but, it is clean, meticulously cared for and was perfect for us, with amazingly friendly service. It's secret garden was just below our window and was the perfect place for morning coffee, afternoon tea and even evening cocktails. Food was wonderful, both breakfast in their lovely breakfast room that you can order off the menu or have the buffet. Do consider dinner at the Oriental Bar & Bistro.
