Great hotel right central in Venice. Decent breakfast. Comfy rooms and unique decor which we loved. Service a bit hit and miss and the bar is just for show it seems but wonderful location and we enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Don't listen to the negative reviews- this place exceeded our expectations for a 3-star hotel. The hotel is situated in a great central location for easy access to San Marco Square, the Bell Tower, Basilica, the Doge's Palace and a short walk from a Waterbus stop. On entering, the older gentleman at the checkout was really pleasant and spoke good English (to the point we were later joking about how he was always stood at reception no matter what time of day or night!). The rooms were tidy and decorated in a lavish, romantic style. Everything was clean. The only small criticism was there were no hot drinks facilities in the room- only paper cups and a fridge. The breakfast buffet had a full range of things such as freshly-baked bread rolls, egg/bacon/fried veg, yoghurts, fruit salad, pastries and even cakes! (Plus tea/coffee/juices) On leaving the hotel during our stay during the mornings, we were instructed to leave the room key- apparently because the cleaning staff required them. A bit strange, so if concerned about privacy, don't leave anything behind! By night, the air conditioning was most welcome during the hot, humid weather. You could hear the occasional street noise- the odd shout, or on one evening somebody with an electric grinder working outside, plus sometimes the dull this of footsteps in the room above, but I didn't find them intrusive. On our final morning, we checked out very early to catch out flight, but the staff prepared breakfast boxes to take- you must order them the evening before... and pay the city tax IN CASH! 😁 All in all, I'm happy we stayed here!
This is a great hotel for 3 critically important reasons. 1) it is exceptionally clean and pristinely maintained (everything works, isn't worn, and feels like a home). 2) the location is exceptional for access to the canals, high fashion, and the San Marco cathedral. 3) the service matches any ultra-expensive hotel at a fraction of the price. I would definitely stay again for any length of time. A very warm, pleasant, and inviting experience overall.
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was very good, we are happy with the stay. The Staff was really friendly, flexible and helpfull. The room cleaning was everyday on a different standard than normal on the positive side, everything replenished and cleaned. It is noticable that the hotel wanted us to have a nice stay. Would recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Venice.
Frankly to pay 500 euros a night for such a horrible room and service was the biggest mistake during my stay in Venice. Terrible breakfast, terrible attitude of the staff, wafer thin mattress where you feel the metal springs in your back… Venise is known to be a tourist trap but this place is by far one the worst ones.
