Travelled all the way from Santiago and got cancellation notification 30 minutes before the starting time..
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, very interesting and informative. Damian the tour guide was friendly and made the tour fun with light humour and anecdotes.
Had a great tour of the murals in Valparaiso with Amari. He was an excellent guide and was very knowledgeable regarding the history of Valparaiso and the stories behind all the murals. Would highly recommend him if you are taking this tour.
John with Jurassic Tours was fantastic! We walked all around the town and learned so much as we saw the street art in the neighborhoods. He clearly knew the area and greeted people warmly. His English was great and he was very helpful! I would highly recommend his company and this tour to anyone visiting Valparaiso! You won't regret it!
The tour was a fun walking tour. Our guide was super knowledgeable about Valparaiso because he grew up there. He was funny, upbeat, and told us all the stories about the art and the buildings. I've been to Valpo before but this was our first tour and we are so happy we did it. It's a much cooler city when you know the history.
Our tour guide John was excellent! Very good English, very knowledgeable about the history, the street art, the food and local customs. It was a walking tour that was very doable for a 62 yr old! We had a fun funicular ride, got to taste a pisco sour (great!!) and checked out some cool shops along the way. Highly recommend this tour!! Loved John’s humor!!
This tour gave a great overview of the art and history of the city in a short amount of time. It allowed us to see the most iconic sites and meet some local artists. The tour guide spoke perfect English and was very kind. I'd recommend this tour to anyone visiting.
We visited Valparaiso after we heard about the famous street art:) To get a better understanding of the different type of street art, customs and history of the city chose we to get a guide and it didn’t disappoint:)) Our guide - whose name was Gonzalo(hope, if you choose to do the tour you’ll be accompanied by him) did a great job of telling the history of this city and the street art:) He also gave tips about where to eat and foods to try. And as a bonus we were accompanied by one of the many local dogs that seemed to like Gonzalo very much:)) All in all a great experience that we can recommend!
Great experience. Gonzalo was very knowledgeable and very informative. Great way to get a lay of the land perspective of Valparaiso.
We were the only 3 on the tour & John made it very personalized. We saw SO much in a short window!!!
Enriching and fun exploration of Valparaiso history and art. The tour guide, Gonzalo, a native of Valparaiso, made the experience both joyful and educational. Definitely a great way to encounter the city. Highly recommended.
We had limited time in Valparaiso thus reached to a local for a help. Thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour with Geans (John). Had walked through the heart of Valparaiso visiting the most unique original art galleries, learning about the history and culture of this beautiful city. We were lucky to extend our tour to the next day traveling with John to Vina Del Mar, the coast and vineyards. We had a fantastic time and enjoyed out tour guide warmth and hospitality. Highly recommended !
Gonzalo was knowledgeable and passionate about Valparaiso and we loved the tour. Definitely recommend! Wear your walking shoes!!
What an amazing tour that covers all things Valpo! Geans is fantastic and does a wonderful job explaining all the colorful history in town.
Geans was super knowledgeable, friendly. We had a great time and enjoyed getting to see and meet many local people and must know locations
He was the best tour guide I can ask for he knows so Much history and everything you ask he has the answers to great guy great tour will recommend to anyone
Our tour guide was very good and the tour was informative. Valapararasio has some interesting street art to see but I was disappointed/distracted with how run down the city is and how the city is covered with bad graffiti nearly everywhere.
Gean with his associate Phillip were wonderful! Very informative tour , he went above and beyond to show the true flavors of Valparaiso. He showed us all the hidden passages and beautiful street art as well as the history of Chile. We truly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it!!!
Our tour guide Gean from Jurassic Tours was absolutely wonderful. We took his walking tour through Viator. He and Philippe took us all over Valparaiso and provided the history of the country as well as the information behind the street art, current places to eat/drink, the funiculars and an overall flavor of the wonderful, colorful city of Valparaiso. One really needs to take this tour, and I would highly recommend Gean, as he is a local, to truly experience Valpo. You will be so happy that you did!
A very good introduction to Valparaíso-its history and explanation of the art. Also very knowledgeable about Chilean history and current affairs. Geans is obviously very passionate about his city. Able to answer questions very confidently and also suggest places to eat and drink.
Brilliant walking tour - Felipe was very knowledgeable and had some great tips of places to eat, drink and visit. Would thoroughly recommend this tour especially if, like me, you are only in Valparaiso for a short time. The hilly part of the city is maze-like and would be impossible to navigate as a newcomer without a guide. For 3 hours I also thought this was great value for money. Thank you Felipe!
Needs an introduction to the tour- some 5-10 minutes of history to put the city and tour in perceptive. It maybe that the harbour might be the place to start in terms of history. The art description needs to be more elaborate with meanings and not just the artist name. There is also some architectural mention and would be good to have photos of houses from different nation to compare the heritage houses to. Guide was other wise pleasant. Your over tan as the last stop was unnecessary and prolonged the tour!
I was in Valparaiso on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day so I wanted a walking tour of Valparaiso. The guide was enthusiastic and fun. I was hoping for more of the historic context of Valparaiso. The group was a little too big to accomplish more information and so we did not get the in-depth information I was hoping for. Nevertheless, it gave us a good introduction to the city and it's street art and I would recommend this in conjunction with other tours of the city.
This 3 hour walking tour was perfect for the day we had planned in Valparaiso. We visited many beautiful murals through out the city. Had the chance to ride a vernacular up a hill and learn more about the history of Valparaiso! The tour guide was so great, his English, knowledge of the city, and jokes were all on point!
Great guide and interesting tour of Valparaiso and explanation of the art. I discovered at the end that I had paid in US$ in advance but most of the people on the trip only provided a tip at the end. The guide gave could restaurant suggestions and a tip to do a boat cruise which was cheap and worthwhile.
when the guide took a photo of the whole group and sent it to us. And all the great paintings of the visit...
Tour guide did not turn up and all provided telephone numbers and emails went unanswered. Still awaiting a refund.
Gean’s was very knowledgeable, helpful and compassionate when my Uber ride was not available! Highly recommend the walk to get to know the area!
Great three hour tour of Valparaiso by young entrepreneurial guide, who recently started his own business. This was a great way to get to know part of the more artistic district of Valparaiso, and learn a lot about its history and some of the, mostly mural, artists. This part of the city is stunning, but not really safe once it gets dark. However, during the day we felt very comfortable and safe. For the price paid, we would definitely recommend this tour to any of our friends.
Geans was an amazing tour guide. He brought us to many significant pieces of street art and helped us to understand the meaning behind them. He was very informed on local and nationwide historical events. The bonus- he was funny and offered helpful tips on restaurants and things to do. Don’t even think twice- sign up for a tour with Geans!
Excellent tour, couldn't recommend more! The tour grade speaks excellent English, knows the city like the back of his hand, and packs in both historical information and fun tidbits about the city. If you have a day in Valpo, this is the perfect way to spend half of it.
We took a tour with John and enjoyed it very much, it was definitely a highlight of the trip. He told us a lot of interesting stories, made a few silly jokes and even took us down a slide. Overall s great experience, would recommend.
Excellent walking tour of Valparaiso. Covered all the highlights with rich details of local culture and history. Our guide got us in to a special tour of the 1870s German gymnasium. Spoke excellent English. Very good value for money!
Amazing experience. Really interesting and learn so much thing about the country and the way of living here
Excellent free waking your. Amazing guide who takes you all around the city. Very knowledgeable, speaks both spanish and english. Highly recommended.
Great tour of Valparaiso with explanations about the history of the city. Very helpful guide, giving many recommendations outside of the tour as well.
Great walking tour around the city of Valparaiso ! The murals, some historical parts and nice art galleries !
Geans was super helpful and informative. The whole tour group went out for dinner after and he also provided information for other activities to do in the city!
Geans is very knowledgeable and very likeable. He’s fun and charming, taking us around interesting and beautiful streets and explaining the history.
Gean is enthusiastic, charming and very knowledgeable. He makes it very fun, too. The street art, the views, the buildings, the funicular - and the slide - were brilliant. Gean is helpful and super-friendly. A must to get the most out of a stay in Valparaiso!
Fantastic tour! Geans takes you through the streets of Valparaiso telling a lot of interesting historical information about the city, and showing nices places to eat, have drinks or just a cup of coffee. He's also a very fun guy! The tour is more than 3 hours long but it seems a lot less.
Geans is very knowledgeable and fun! Learned and saw a lot of the city. Great tour, highly recommend
Gean was friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable! He let us hop on the tour after we saw them in line at the ascension. We saw the highlights of Valparaiso and Gean answered our questions. We met great fellow passengers who we hung out with afterwards! Thanks Gean for the tour!
Gean is an super tour guide. You can feel how he loves to impart knowledge. We can highly recommend his tours and really enjoyed our day with him.
Had a great time being shown the sights of Valparaiso by Geans. He knows his stuff and will take you to the best empanadas in town.
The whole tour was my favourite. John is a very nice and well informed tour guide. He seems to love his job. At the end of the tour he gives you his WhatsApp if wanted and you can always ask him for recommendations or if something is unclear.
Gean was fun to be around. He was knowledgeable but did not take that long to explain historical facts. I would have personally chosen different spots for the tour and some other distribution of the space so everyone could listen to the talk. Otherwise it was a great experience
Thank you Gean for this great tour! He showed us the best of Valparaíso with lots of recommendations for food and drinks and told us great stories about the city and Chile's history. 10/10 points! Anytime again!
Geans was a great tour guide that taught us a bit of history and gave us some personal tips on where to visit after the tour. I definitely would suggest heading on a walking tour with him for a few hours.
