We had a wonderful day on this tour and would highly recommend it. Our guide, Pablo, was excellent. His historical knowledge was outstanding, and he brought the places we visited to life with interesting anecdotes and stories that made the experience both informative and entertaining. He kept everything running smoothly and on schedule while ensuring the day remained fun and engaging. A special mention also goes to our driver, Jose, who was polite, professional, and welcoming throughout the trip. We felt completely safe and comfortable on the coach at all times. The only slight downside was that we had expected a small-group experience, whereas the group was actually around 25 people. However, this did not detract significantly from what was otherwise a very enjoyable and well-organised tour. Overall, an excellent day out with a fantastic guide and driver.

The War of the Pacific in the 1880's was a major punctuation point in the history of Chile. The Chilean armed forces, anchored by the Navy, eventually triumphed over Bolivia and Peru. Chile seized land in the north with valuable mineral resources (saltpeter and copper), trashed Lima, and pushed Bolivia back from the seacoast into land locked status. Anyone wondering about whether these successes are important and well-remembered should spend some time looking up this quite impressive monument to the victory and its leaders. The monument also serves as a focal point of Sotomayor Square and can be seen from many of the surrounding hills.
This National Monument is a nineteenth century castle that currently serves as a cultural center.
One of the main drags that hugs the ocean with breathtaking views.

The Arco Británico is a monument on Avenida Brasil. It was donated to the city in 1910 by the British community to mark the centenary of the Independence of Chile.
Nice square commemorating the important literary history of the city. Very nice architecture around and some lovely gardens. Nice stop-over point on the way to Pablo Neruda's house. Shake hands with a statue. Put your arm around another.
This place is unique in many ways. The buildings are very european and the views are splendind. There are many stores and restaurants, aswell as lovely picture stops and lovely artcrafts sold all over the place.
The Museum of Archeology and History Francisco Fonck, founded in 1937, is a varied and complete museum that shows objects of the original peoples of Chile: highlighting its large collection of the Rapanui culture, the Atacameños, Diaguitas, Mapuches, inhabitants of the area central and extreme austral, in addition to a wide collection of Peruvian pre-Columbian vessels. In the area of Natural Sciences there is a complete sample of arthropods and animals from different areas of the country.
This statue was brought in from Easter Island. It is extremely interesting. It is fun to take pictures standing by this statue. It makes you wonder about its original creators. It also entices people to want to visit Easter Island.
Pablo Neruda's house is one of the talked about destinations at Valparaiso. Its a small house on top of Cerro Bellavista.. It houses a museum showing glimpses of Pablo Neruda's life & offers a vantage point to look out over the city. There are shops outside the house that one can pick up pretty magnets from, & a quaint plaza closeby which has steps with beautiful mosaic.

Every visitor to the area should visit this iconic spot. Even on a not so sunny day its very picturesque.
Artilleria appears to be the Valparaiso ascensor with the most reviews. It also probably has the best views from the top and the stroll back down is very nice too.
One of the many elevator lines that take folks up and down the hills. Very practical in this very vertical city.
This is the oldest funicular in Valparaíso. The view is wonderful, even if you can see daylight through the floorboards. It is a real local experience!
Paseo atkinson, use to be a living place in the past years, now is full of tourist that enjoy a nice view, from there you can see the bay, the hills and the plan of the city. Paseo atkinson is now a free access viewpoint located in Valparaíso, in the Concepción hill.

Ignacio was such a wonderful tour guide. We all love him He was very kind and knew a lot about Valparaiso and Viña Del Mar..
Jaime was a very patient and flexible guide as we were late for our pickup. He tailored our tour of Valparaiso in order to get us to the winery on time and then recommended a nice local restaurant for lunch. He maneuvered the traffic in Santiago with ease, getting us to our hotel right on time.
We got an email telling us where we would be picked up and to wait 10 minutes for our guide. If he didn’t appear, we were supposed to call a number that was provided. The day before the tour, we received 4 emails from the company to contact them through WhatsApp. We didn’t have that app, and we were offline because we were on a cruise. I emailed them with that information. On the tour day, we waited about 20 minutes before I called the number they provided. However, all I got was a recorded message in Spanish which I didn’t understand. I tried to call 2-3 times , hoping unsuccessfully to get a live person. At 45 minutes, a couple of other tour guides offered to help. One even texted the number. Being in a new country, and not speaking the language put us at a disadvantage.. At this point, we were exploring other options to get us to our hotel which was about 45 minutes away. Our guide finally showed up an HOUR late without any concern for his tardiness….not very professional. That was the first time that we have had any problems using Viator.
Our tour was suppose to be Valparaiso, Vina Del Mar and the winery. Our guide did not take us to Vina Del Mar he chose to go to Santiago. We were disappointed. His car was filthy inside. That was kind of upsetting. Didn’t really tell us much about where we were. I know the ship was late docking (we had no control) but he cut our tour short.
This is not a professional tour co. We waited well over an hour. No signs looking for us, 2 guys in sweat suits showed up. We are lucky they didn’t kidnap us. We drive up to 3-4 “things to see” our driver had never given a tour before. 7-8 hour tour was really a ride to the airport and a stop a vineyard, pretty sure they do the tasting for free. Totaling 4 hours. Do not recommend
The trip was more of a taxi ride. We were picked up after 9 and done at 2pm. This was not a full day tour. The guide dead new and not knowledgeable about where we were going.
The most memorable part was that our van broke down 5 minutes after the tour started. We were forced to join a group tour that was also late and due to all of that, the tour that was supposed to start at 9:00 am, started at 11:30 am. People on the group tour needed to be at the airport in Santiago by 5:30 so all of our stops were short and the wine tour was only a quick tasting and then back on the bus. While our guide did a good job finding an alternative for us, we didn't get the value we expected.
This tour was the worst. Here is the jest of it. There were 4 of us. Guide informed us he would be an hour late. He then sent a replacement. They came in two small cars to follow each other. The replacement did not know what tour we had. We just roamed around Valparaiso for hours looking at the harbor. Took us to restuarant for lunch. He did not know where our vineyard tour and wine tasting was to happen. We prepaid, did not get any of our prepaid activities. This was bad from beginning to end. He took a picture of group and said it was proof for payment. Oh, and he smelled of marijuana.
What a great day we spent with Juan. He was on time at the port, his vehicle was able to hold all our luggage after coming off a 2 week cruise. Juan showed us the sights of Valparaiso (very colorful) and Viña del Mar as well as a lovely stop for a winery tour and tasting before dropping us at our downtown Santiago hotel. Perfect all the way around.
Our guide Luis was excellent at communicating prior to our tour so that we were able to quickly meet after disembarking our ship. He was personable full of lots of details about Valparaiso especially during the walking tour we did of the gentrified area of restaurants that had a significant number of graffiti murals. We had requested to do this and spent about n hour on this. Luis was so full of info on this area we really learned a lot. Because we had just come off of 14 days on ship and had 2 couples in our group we asked him to cut short the walking tour so we could move on to the winery for lunch. We also needed to be in Santiago by 330 so this cut our day somewhat short due to our schedule not his. The winery was outstanding. Pure delight and great food and wine. We unfortunately were too late/too early for the actual English tour which would have been nice to do. Luis worked very hard to adjust his schedule to our needs which we appreciated. The only frustration we experienced was that while he spoke English well it was heavily accented and required a lot of concentration all the time which combined with our vacation exhaustion probably reduced us from appreciating him as much as he deserved. Pros- excellent knowledge and reliability Cons-can be pretty intense after a long cruise however as a way to spend an extra day instead of at the airport waiting it can’t be beat. I would do the trip again with Luis. I’d just be a little more up front about our needs.
Very reliable & lovely to deal with. Even though our arrival was delayed by 5 hours, the driver waited for us. He then made time for a shorter but interesting tour & drop off to our hotel. We really appreciated that he waited so long for us & still provided a tour.
Alex (our guide) made every experience perfect! He stepped in at the last minute after two other guides were unable to meet us. He drove from Santiago to Valparaiso, Chile, very early in the morning to pick us up at the cruise terminal. An eight hour tour turned into 9 hours full of interesting information, personal stories and lots of laughs. We visited Valparaiso, neighboring communities and Santiago. We had a lovely lunch in a castle and enjoyed the Argentinian football win. He then delivered us to the airport for our trip home. I can't imagine the day could have been any better!
Really nice staff. Wine was great. They went above and beyond in customer service - I had forgotten to schedule my COVID test for travel, so I thought I couldn't show up for tour. They fixed all the logistics of the test for me, and when I got back to hotel, a medical professional was waiting for me to take the test. I was thoroughly impressed with this service.
Our cruise was meant to end in San Antonio but due to high waves our ship had to dock in Valparaiso instead. The tour company was already aware of the issue when I called and simply moved the pickup to Valparaiso instead. They waited for us for 3 hours until we could clear customs in the new location and they adjusted the tour so we could still see all the highlights. They were simply amazing and lovely people. For us Valparaiso was the highlight with so many hillside lookout points, wall art, historical buildings and lovely old streets. Vina del Mar was interesting to see as a modern city compared to Valparaiso right next to it but it did not have the charm of Valparaiso and I am happy we spent much less time there. The Casablanca wine region is very beautiful and it was a lovely drive. We stopped at a winery for an interesting tour followed by a wine tasting which gave us a good introduction to Chilean wine. The view was spectacular from the winery. Our guides also pointed out some interesting sights in Santiago as they drove us to our hotel and gave us good pointers and suggestions for our stay. We loved the day and highly recommend this tour.
We paid more than $300 for a driver that didn’t speak English. He took us to the main landmarks around Valparaiso and Casablanca winery. Drive past Viña Del Mar on the way back where he stopped at the history museum just past the closing time. He explained that he was substituting the guy who had changed his vehicle the day before. Does it sound familiar?
Sebastian was a great guide and Vincenzo (sp!) our driver was excellent. We were able to see some special locations. All in all we were very pleased with our time spent in this area.
Wonderful walk. Guia Julio was very kind and attentive. Gave many explanations which made the tour unforgettable.
It was an amazing experience! Both places were beautiful! The guide very attentive, thanks Ignacio!
We did the tour in a couple, coming from Brazil, it was quite complete. The bus searches us and leaves at the hotel door (being in the central regions of Santiago), the guide accompanies and explains everything in Spanish, very good experience that includes a tasting in Casablanca, tours of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar (with time to know the beach). The guide Ignacio and the driver José are very attentive. I recommend!
Safe and very well-guided tour, charming places and see the Pacific Ocean was beautiful, and all the architecture of Val Paraiso
The tour with the guide Koke was sensational! Super friendly, fun and full of knowledge about each place. Viña del Mar and Valparaíso are charming, and the visit to the winery in Casablanca was the perfect touch. I highly recommend this experience!
We could meet an original Moai, taste local wines and meet Valparaiso and Viña del Mar; and even lunch in front of the sea of Viña del Mar Recommended the tour and the guide who advised us to take many photos and waited for us at every stop we made
We had a very nice tour guide who showed us a lot and explained. It all worked out great. We had a lovely eventful day.
Very punctual, good communication and a lot of kindness from Jimmy. Mobility in very good conditions. The weather was right.
I will tell you about the terrible experience I had, I do not recommend it at all, I booked the tour shell and bull and what surprise they never let me know what times they were coming for me, however clearly said be ready an hour before, I was ready two hours before, Mr. de la van arrives I tell him to wait five minutes and go down was gone. Which is a bad Service not acknowledging the mistake that I wasn't notified and practically throwing me pq is not your problem. I mean, I had already paid for it and probably would have booked another tour. Now there are no contact phones anyone answers and practically now we will see if they have the minimum decency to return my money, Lousy customer Service to all I tell you there is no certainty that the Service will be fulfilled and that is what is least wanted while in another country. The most serious thing is that they leave the customer to their own devices as if they hadn't paid for an error by them and the driver's answer is by phone, I'm not to blame for not letting you know
Tour a Valparaiso, viña del mar y casa blanca y al final algo de Santiago, hicimos una comida en viña excelente restaurante
