We are an older couple, so the activities were a little strenuous, but Jimmy and Jay were great - and very knowledgeable. We had a good time even though it was sort of a long day for us.

Jimmy took us on an amazing trip! We saw sea lions, birds and penguins, the beautiful views all the way from Valparaiso to Zapallar, had a great lunch in the middle (and also had the opportunity to do paragliding if we wanted) and at the end we went sand boarding at the dunes of Concon. Throughout the entire day, Jimmy was an amazing host, shared with his knowledge and took care of anything, making sure everyone were having a good time. This tour was the best experience we had in Valparaiso, and we recommend it to everyone who’s coming here!

My husband wasn't super excited for this, he thought it would be a lot of car time to see penguins for a few minutes. However this turned out to be his favorite thing on our trip to Chile! We loved the guides, they were the right amount of friendly / chatty and helped us to really enjoy the day. The boat ride itself was great, fantastic views of the coast, seeing the penguins and otters was really enjoyable. We were then taken to grab delicious empanadas for lunch which we ate at picnic tables watching the paragliding school. We were both interested enough that we signed up for paragliding and it was so enjoyable! I'm afraid of heights but felt really comfortable with the instructor and was so happy to have experienced paragliding with the ocean right there. On the way back we stop for sandboarding, super fun and harder (at least for me than it looks)! The whole time we hung out with our guides, it really just felt like we had friends showing us around. It was such a great day, we would highly recommend this tour!

Jimmy was a great guide. Only 3 people on this tour so it was extra nice. Comfortable transportation. Jimmy was super nice, had lots of information about where we went and the empanadas for lunch were unbelievably good. And we saw penguins! Very end of the season, so we only saw maybe 30-40, but 1 was enough. The boat ride was great too. Sand dunes sliding too. Great time!

Amazing trip, great weather, guides were fabulous. We laughed and had fun the whole time. Loved all the outdoor activities, and seeing so many different parts of the region.

What an amazing tour. Our tour guide Jimmy and his colleague Larissa did a very good job. First we saw sea lions, than penguins, we had a nice boat ride, we had the best Empanades I ever tried so far at a very unique place. At the end we also did sand boarding which was a lot of fun. It was a really great day. A big thank you to Jimmy and Larissa it was just amazing!

Jimmy is an excellent & friendly guide, who picked us up on time, took us to see sea lions at the fish market, boat tour to see the penguins, tour of the towns along the way, empanada lunch at the paragliding training center, then off to the Con Con dunes for sand boarding. We had so much fun & education. We highly recommend this tour!

Great opportunity to see penguins and sea lions in the northern part of the country. Most Chileans don’t even know there is an island protected for penguins so it’s a pretty unique excursion. Finished the tour with delicious empanadas and wine.

Jimmy was an excellent guide. The experiences were unique, and the food was delicious. If you are afraid of the ocean this might not be right for you, as traveling to the penguins is in a small open boat. Sand dune surfing is a great experience for everyone. Bring a wind breaker for the boat ride and flip flops for the dunes. Comfortable clothes that dry quick in case you get wet on the boat ride.

Jimmy was an incredible guide. I have since recommended the tour to other tourists I've met in Chile and will continue to do so. We had a truly unforgettable time!

Had an amazing time with Jimmy, Simona, and crew. This experience far exceeded my expectations. Jimmy and his crew are super friendly and clearly love what they do. They picked us up right on time and took us to the Valparaiso fish market, to Cachagua where we boarded a boat that took us to Monumento Natural Isla Cachagua to see the Humboldt penguin colony. From there we went to Puchuncavi, where they treated us to a delicious lunch of fresh empanadas with homemade treats and drinks and where we got to go paragliding (this was not included in the itinerary but is well worth the extra cost) and finally to Concon for some sand boarding. The trip lasted far longer than I expected, for which we were very happy. All in all a very worthwhile experience and one I highly recommend to anyone visiting Valparaiso.

Highly recommend this tour! My husband and I completed this tour with our tour guides Jimmy and Lily, the guides were very knowledgeable, had great communication and we enjoyed their friendliness and humor. The tour gave us an opportunity to see how the locals lived at the fish market and along the beach coastline. We enjoyed the boat ride to view penguins and marvel at the cliffside houses. The lunch provided was delicious (and had the option for a vegetarian meal- which was great!) the sand boarding was a lot of fun, we have never sand/snow boarded before and were able to figure it out no problem. This is a full day of adventure with some driving between each activity, but the vehicle was comfortable and the conversation with our guides was wonderful. This tour was a highlight of our trip!

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Chile ! The penguins were super cute :) Sand boarding was a blast and the empanadas were bomb ! Highly recommend

We got picked up from our hotel around 9:30am then went on to scoop up the other participants. We headed first to a local fish market because sea lions gather there and you can see them up close. That was really neat. Then we headed out of the city thru Viña Del Mar and some other small towns to get to where we hopped onto a Very small fisherman’s boat. I think it sat 8 people including the captain. The sea was not rough on this day but I personally had a rough go of it even though I had taken Dramamine beforehand. Seeing the penguins was really cool and they are super cute. I think it was about a 15-20 motor out to the isLand. On the way back we got surrounded by a gregarious pod of adorable dolphins. We stopped the boat for a few minutes watch them play around. After we got off the boat you take a gorgeous short walk along the coast for 20 min or so which was both beautiful and a nice way to shake off the nausea from the boat. Then we got back in the van and headed toward the lunch spot which was under a pavilion on the beach next to a paragliding school. Just gorgeous. And the food was amazing. If you are offered to order 2 empanadas DO SO! I only ordered one and still regret it! Jimmy also makes the BEST pebre! Also good wine and pisco sour. Was a wonderful lunch. Then we headed to these huge sand dunes and you have the opportunity to surf on what looks like a snowboard on the sand. Jimmy and Mariel were really great at talking you through this somewhat scary process (if you had never snow boarded like me! If you do not have any issues with being seasick I recommend this highly. It was a fun and packed day of adventure.

Tours are always made by the tour guide and Jimmy and Nikki were tremendous and knowledgable tour guides. The lunch was made with homemade traditional Chilean food and drinks. The pisco sour was maybe the best of our trip. We added hang gliding to the tour and won’t forget it.

If you want to see penguins and are staying around Santiago/Valparaiso, this is the tour for you. We took a boat to go near an island with some penguins, pelicans and sea lions, and then went to another island where there were hundreds of penguins to look at with our binoculars. Although we ended up having not too much time for sandboarding, it was still a lot of fun, and our guide was a professional snowboard instructor, so that's a plus. Also the empanadas we had for lunch were delicious.

Wildlife on steroids…penguins, sea lions, dolphins and more. Jimmy put together a wonderful program for us with tons of wildlife, awesome food, and great conversation about life in Chile. On top of all that, there were opportunities to sand board and parasail! What a wonderful, truly memorable day!

Our tour guide, Jimmy, was very fun! He allowed for bathroom breaks and had a great Chilean snack of mate and cookies with dulce de leche. The wind was too much to take the boat closer to the penguins, so we went to a beach where we could look at them through binoculars. Then a wonderful lunch with empanadas picked up at a kitchen, homemade pisco sours, homemade salsa, and wine. Then we stopped for sand surfing at the biggest sand dune I've ever seen. A delightful day! His assistant, Ella, was very helpful, and there were 2 other passengers who were very nice and interesting.

This tour was so much fun! I went with my granddaughter, who is a bird nerd and especially in love with penguins. We weren't able to take the boat trip closer to the penguins because of wind, but it was fun anyway. The highlight of the tour wasn't even on the itinerary: because of the wind, we went hang gliding at the lunch stop and loved it. The food and drinks were delicious, the guide was fluent, friendly, and fun. I wasn't interested in the sand boarding, so I just waited that one out, but my granddaughter enjoyed it, and overall the tour was terrific.

Loved this tour! Ended up being a private tour. Got to see penguins, jellyfish, seals and sea lions. They were great tour guides and fluent in English which was very helpful for us. Would definitely recommend!!

We are from the U.S. and loved this tour! They answered pre trip communication promptly via TripAdvisor and then WhatsApp, and picked us up at our hotel. Our tour guides spoke English, explained things, and gave local recommendations for activities and restaurants throughout the tour. They knew all the best spots to see local wildlife! When the weather was bad and the first boat option to get out to the penguin island canceled, our guide arranged another boat that would go out in that weather, as well as a penguin island viewing option for people who wanted to stay on land and not get seasick. Lunch was empanadas with handmade salsa, pisco sours, fruit, and nuts that the tour guides brought- all delicious. They provided the sand boards and instruction on how to do it. Very knowledgeable and helpful guides!

We had an amazing day with Go Penguins! We started in the fish market and saw sea lions. Then we drove along the coast and learned about Chilean culture and had macha on the beach. After - we went for a hike and learned about the nature in the area. We saw the penguins after the hike. We weren't able to get on the boat because of how rough the water was - but seeing them from the rock was even better because we could take more time. After penguins, we had an amazing lunch if empanadas, pisco, wine and fruit while watching paragliding from the cliff. We finished the tour learning about Valparaiso and admiring the murals. It was an amazing day and I would recommend for anyone wanting to get a taste of Valparaiso and see some adorable penguins. It was awesome!!

This tour is like visiting good friends who want to show you the best of their town. Everything is so well thought out, down to all of the small details like the picnic lunch. We had an amazing time on the boat ride, seeing the penguins, sightseeing, and sand-boarding. We highly recommend spending the day with Jimmy and his team at Go Penguins!

If I could give 6 stars I would! We had a fantastic day exploring the coast with Jimmy. We were a family of 4 with a 17 Yr old and 19 Yr old. Everything was incredibly well thought out and felt easy going while being jam packed with really brilliant beautiful moments. We'd never have found the spots on our own - the trip was absolutely worth the cost. Massively recommend!! Our 17 Yr old said it was her favourite day of our whole 3 week holiday! Thanks SO much Jimmy :)

We had a really fun day with Jimmy and Simone! They are wonderful guides - very friendly, easy to talk with, and they want to make all guests comfortable. If you need anything, just ask! We drove a couple hours north of Valpo to see penguins via a boat ride. Sand boarding is really fun too, and Jimmy is a good teacher. He’ll help you get down the hill! Lots of food and drinks, a really great day. Comfortable car, I would recommend this as a great way to spend a whole day.

A great day from start to finish- a magical mystery tour of the beautiful Chilean coast, with charming and attentive hosts Jimmy and Josefina. Loved the sea lions, penguins, amazing beaches, and excellent food and drink all day. We were very well looked after - and had the chance to see and learn a lot. Highly recommend!

I booked the tour, got email confirmation, and went to the meeting point the morning of the tour. Now, mind you the pickup location was at a nearby city, so we Ubered there. No one showed up to pick us up! Called the contact number several times with no answer. Had to call for an Uber back to our hotel. I requested a refund. Really disappointed.

Amazing day with some great spots and activities along a beautiful coast I would have not found by myself. The tour guides are really nice, know a lot and do everything that you have a wonderful day.

We booked this tour for our first full day in Chile. What a great way to start our vacation. The boat ride to see the penguins, a beautiful walk along the coast that we would never have found ourselves, a delicious lunch with plenty to eat and drink, and sand boarding down the dunes...fun, fun, fun! We had such a great time that we spent 2 more days with them on "custom" tours for our three generation family. They did so many things, big and little, to make our time in Chile meaningful and fun. Highly recommend!

We were met promptly at our hotel at 9 o’clock by our tour guides, Jimmy and Simona. They worked together perfectly and made sure that we had a very memorable day. We enjoyed our boat ride out to the island to see the penguins and sea lions. We had a nice walk along the beach. We had a very memorable Chilean lunch and had the opportunity to do some hang gliding at a beautiful spot along the coastline. I only wish I had gone for it! Our guides would’ve been very willing to have given me the opportunity. We finished our day sand boarding at the Concon sand dunes. So much fun! We learned so much about the Chilean traditions and history, and had so much fun with our guides.

My husband loves penguins so I booked this tour in order to see the penguins near Valparaiso - I AM SO HAPPY I DID. We had an amazing time from start to finish. Simone and Jimmy were so amazing. It ended up only being my husband and I and we had a blast looking at the seals, penguins, birds and other wildlife at various places along the coast plus a lovely walk before a delicious lunch complete with great Pisco sours. We ended the day sandboarding and they made it simple considering it was our first time trying! I have nothing but good things to say about this tour and GO PENGUINS! :-)

We cannot recommend this tour more highly. Jimmy and Simone speak beautiful English and take care of every detail throughout the day. It feels like visiting friends who show you their favorite things to do up and down the coast. We enjoyed seeing sea lions, penguins, and pelicans. We walked along several stretches of gorgeous beach and watched the waves crash, shooting white plumes of spray against the rocky tide pools. We enjoyed a delicious homemade lunch while keeping an eye out for paragliders. They served us local wines along with several Chilean delicacies. To top off a wonderful day, we climbed up large sand dunes and felt like locals giving sandboarding a try.

Simone and Jimmy were the greatest hosts and immediately made us feel at home. Wonderful English. The long day was gone before we knew it and I kept looking at my watch thinking where has the time gone. Yes we saw Penguins as their company name states but we saw so much more. A fun boat ride, and yes perilous to think about, but when you actually did it, fun sand boarding with a breathtaking view. There was so much more. A great lunch with a view of paragliding right there! Really I can’t say enough about this tour. It’s small and interment, they don’t have to count you to know their comfortable van is full. I went on this excursion with my mother and had a great time during all the activites. The weather prevented us from going on a boat tour of an island with penguins on it but the guides had a backup for this exact situation. We went to a lookout spot to see a protected island about 100m from shore and we were provided binoculars. I didn't feel rushed at all and we were given ample time to take all the pictures we wanted. Same goes for the trek along the coast. The chilean style picnic was a great way to have a break and talk with the others guests on the trip. The sandboarding at Concon was also a magical experience as one of the guides is also a snowboarding instructor. I felt pretty nervous about going down the dunes but again I wasn't rushed and eventually felt safe enough about going down. I highly recommend this tour for a chill day exploring what the coast near Valparaiso has to offer :) Only complaint is that I couldn't find the roadtrip playlist on Spotify afterwards ;)

It was great to get out of Valparaiso for a day. This trip has it all, penguins, sandy beaches, good food and sand boarding. The couple who run the tour are lovely and tell you a lot about the area whilst catering for your needs. If you want to do something different whilst visiting Valparaiso or Vina del Mar then I highly recommend this course. Good value for money too.

It was more a daytrip with friends than a classic tour -and I didn't know anybody! I loved the friendly, relaxed atmosphere and the places we saw, and the sandboard was very fun. It was a pity we didn't go on the boat to watch the penguins, make sure you ask specifically if this is possible when you go if you don't want to see them only with a binocular. Still, it was worth it.

This tour was amazing -- Jimmy and Simona were really great guides and they were super attentive to my friend who is gluten free. The boat ride was super exciting and seeing the penguins was unreal! The tour shows so many different types of flora and fauna, even pine trees right up to the beach. Highly recommended!

Our hosts were awesome - very fun people to have on this trip. They were accommodating to my gluten allergy and actually found a place for a gluten free salad for my lunch. Beyond that, the trip itself was very cool - we saw tons of sea lions and penguins, amazing views and nature, and topped it off with spectacular sandboarding at the end. An amazing day!

This is a wonderful tour and I absolutely recommend it . Jimmy and Simona were really kind, the did their best to make me enjoy this tour since the beginning to the end. Visited places are amazing and is a wonderful oportunity to get in touch with nature and beautifu landscapes very close to Valparaiso. I
