Cruise Pick Up + Tour Valparaiso Viña Del Mar Drop Off At Hotel In Santiago

Getting in touch with the operator prior was difficult, they wouldn't return repeated messaging. Finally the night before we received confirmation. Our guide Omar was punctual and at the port for pick up in Valparaiso. The tour of Valparaiso was interesting and we enjoyed Vina del Mar. Omar adjusted the free time in Vina del Mar allotted to stop at a winery along the way to Santiago. Beautiful winery and stop, we appreciated the flexibility. For some reason as we left the city of Valparaiso, Omar and Sabastian (driver) visited the entire trip to Santiago in Spanish and there was little to no interaction or guidance of the country we traveled with us in the back seat. Even at the Winery we were left to talk to the operator who spoke a little English without any translation assistance. It was a bit awkward and left us feeling less than impressed with the overall experience, especially considering the price paid for a private tour. In our experiences the guide and their engagement makes such a huge difference in the outcome of any tour. Ours was friendly and helpful, just more robotic on ticking the boxes of the itinerary and getting the day done.

We were picked up in Valparaiso by driver Rafael and tour guide Maria and received a great tour enroute to our hotel in Santiago. Our first stop in Valparaiso was Pablo Neruda's house La Sebastiana, then continued on and took the funicular up Cerro Panteon with Maria. Gorgeous views from the top, and she walked us around the maze of streets, explaining the murals and art scene. Fortunately she knew the way and we met up with Rafael in Cerro Concepcion. Then drove to Vina del Mar and saw the Flower Clock, and the "moai" statue. As a special request, we then drove to the local football stadium. We proceeded to the Casablanca winery region and had an excellent lunch at Casas del Bosque before being dropped at our hotel in downtown Santiago. Great tour with Rafael and Maria, learned a lot and enjoyed our day very much.

Our guide Rose without a doubt the best guide we have ever had in our over 30 cruises with many excursions. She was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend the day with to the point my wife and friends wanted to take her home with them

We booked this tour months in advance of our trip, and were in contact with the Tour Operator via WhatsApp providing very detailed information about our cruise disembarkation. Our Tour Guide lacked the knowledge, experience, and language skills of a professional. She showed up at the meeting point late and without a sign to help us find her. Up until her phone battery failed less than an hour into the tour, she was constantly using her mobile phone to find her way. Then she was repeatedly asking people on the street for directions as we walked in Valparaiso. She could not speak two sentences without stopping because she did not know the English word she wanted to say. We walked to a place to see gardens and a scenic overlook only to discover the museum would not be open in more than an hour. We were left alone to take pictures after a funicular ride and she did not return for more than 15 minutes chastising us for disappearing when we had absolutely no idea where she went. We had booked this tour with a stop for lunch (cost on our own). The restaurant she brought us to had a very limited menu. We were ready to depart at the time discussed when we arrived. However, the tour guide and driver made us wait an additional 15 minutes. The guide and driver spent nearly the entire drive from Vina del Mar to Santiago conversing among themselves in Spanish without providing us with any information about the region. The vehicle was comfortable; however, only the driver and tour guide had windows that could open, and we were locked into the back of the van where the driver had to unlock the door at each stop. I am assuming this was for security reasons. We had scheduled this tour for 4 people several months in advance and confirmed 4 weeks prior to the trip when we heard there were wildfires in the area. This was a lost opportunity, and major disappointment, as this was more than likely our one and only opportunity to visit Valparaiso and Vina del Mar.

Sergio was on time, waiting for us in the port terminal. He was a pleasure to spend the day with as he showed us the best of Valparaiso and Vina Del Mar. His English is excellent, he’s conscientious and he loves his job and the areas he took us too. Arturo, the driver, is safe, skilled and jovial. This was SO much better than the cruise line’s group tour and transport to the airport.

Driver Rafael & guide Isabell were the greatest! Our trip was easily adjusted around sites previously seen. Both were as pleasant & accommodating as could be. Vehicle & punctuality also good. We went on to rely on Rafael for suggestions & some further shuttle needs. I wish we could schedule him wherever we travel!

Casas del Bosque Tour guide was initially very enthusiastic and friendly. She explained the history and politics of the region well. The driver dropped us off and picked us up at several points in Valparaiso, which we appreciated. So much walking up steep stairs—the only way to appreciate the murals. Vino del Mar was interesting and we loved Casas del Bosque vineyard. The second winery had mediocre food (where we ate lunch) and atmosphere. The guide was informative but said she needed to wear a mask because of her allergies, which made it difficult to understand her addition to her accent. She did remove her mask after we commented that it was difficult to understand her. We noticed that, on every stop, she was smoking a cigarette instead of explaining the features of the stop to us. When my husband and I had to start wearing masks in the back of the car because of the smoke odor, the guide and driver apologized. The guide stopped smoking after that, but the driver had at least one more cigarette. After a stop at the second winery, the driver drove back with the windows open and no AC. We were extremely hot when we arrived at the hotel. Not sure if they did this to air out the car.

Good tour except guides who are so heavy in their accent and hard to understand what they said. The lady guide was late and we had to wait for her at the port. Not very professional.

Our guide Daniel Luna was Great. Showed us places we wanted and was very knowledgeable. Our driver Arturo was amazing. Can’t imagine driving in Valparaiso!!! The best Viator tour we have taken. Everyone must go to the Fish Market on the way to Vina Del Mar. I won’t spoil the surprise!!

Well-planned walk around Valparaiso, including a ride on one of the city's famous funiculars. Excellent lunch in Vina del Mar. Despite heavy traffic, driver did a very skillful job of dropping off and picking us up in Valparaiso and getting us to Santiago. Interesting commentary along the way for Juanito the guide.

Awesome. Highly recommend Sebastian. Everything from communication to spacious air conditioned vehicle to his knowledge was top notch.

Our guide was very enthusiastic, especially showing us the street art. He took us to several viewpoints tourists don’t usually get to see. We opted to have lunch in Vina del Mar so he took us to a very popular restaurant and he made sure we got a table by the window with an ocean view. Our driver also did an excellent job and his clean, convenient van.

Tour was very good. Catalina was a great guide and very helpful. Driver, Evan, also. Took us to interesting places that large tours could not go to.

Our cruise ship could not dock due to swells until mid afternoon. Sebastian our guide and driver waited for us at the dock from 830 am till 3 pm when we were able to deboard. Sebastian assured us that we would still have the tour. They managed to take us to about 75% of the original planned itineary and we took many beautiful photos from good view points. We arrived at our Airbnb tired but happy at 8 pm, and Sebastian was kind enough to speak Spanish on our behalf to the airbnb and helped us get the keys for the apartment, even though it was more than 3 hours later than the original plan. Sebastian was patient, helpful and accomodating throughout the day. We could not be happier with our entire experience. Highly recommend Sebastian and our driver for giving us a memorable experience at Valpariso and Vina del mar.

It was very good, we were picked up at the hotel, at the agreed time, the tour was good, very productive, Lyly even in Spanish we were able to understand everything she explained. I highly recommend, I bought the ride by Decolar.com, the driver dominates the road, careful. Congratulations.

Everything was fine until the return. The air conditioning of the van did not reach the final seats and the journey was a torture, aggravated by a congestion, in an unbearable heat. It was going bad on the last seat. It seems only the passengers in front were comfortable.

Alejandro and Gino were the best... They made us feel confident and we enjoyed the trip very much... 100 percent recommended.

Guide Sergio Rodríguez did, in my opinion, an excellent job on the tour to Valparaiso and Viña del Mar, making a good match with driver Christian Esquivel; both attentive to our needs and willing to clarify doubts. If given the opportunity, I would like to have your support again.

The very friendly, trained and collaborating guide. However, the tour organization is not good. Valparaiso is very messy. They take you to Viña only 90 minutes and to a restaurant chosen by the guide, there are excellent restaurants on the beach.

Es necesario tener alguna forma de transportación confirmada al momento de desembarcar en Valparaíso. Así mismo recomiendo hacer el tour local de esta ciudad y de Viña y después trasladarse a Santiago. No vale la pena quedarse a dormir ahí. Nuestro transfer fue muy bien, muy explicado y detallado a lo poco que hay que ver. Seria bueno se incluyera también algún tour por la capital en el mismo paquete. En general todo muy bien.

The trip is interesting, since you know Valparaiso, Viña del Mar and Reñaca. The guide was very friendly and told us part of the history of Chile.

Excellent walk! The guide Sebastian, as well as the driver Jader, were wonderful, polite, left us comfortable during the walk, gave us tip, besides it was a cheerful walk of good vibrations. I highly recommend!

Valparaiso is beautiful, amazing. The guide showed us all the sights and made our tour very profitable and pleasant. Viña Del mar is a luxury. Everything was wonderful.
