Wonderful walking tour with a wonderful guide that took us throughout Valletta and provided us with a great historical understanding of the city and beautiful vistas.
Marisa our guide was superb, so knowledgeable and engaging, dispute a couple who were late, she tried to accommodate them, but proved unsuccessful, tour was brilliant value, would definitely recommend
An interesting and informative walking tour of many highlights in Valletta with a friendly and knowledgeable guide
Valletta very very busy so not always easy to move around. Due to an event taking place we were unable to visit the Barrakka Gardens.
Angela was a wonderful guide. She took time to explain things and moved at a nice pace. We really enjoyed the information she shared.
Good tour with Nadine Clear, friendly and informative, tips for tickets of st John’s were very helpfull.
Marrissa was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable with Maltese and Mediterranean history, interjecting with humour and personal accounts of changes during her own lifetime living on the island. Thank you Marrissa.
Angele is fantastic, so didáctic. We learned a lot with her and she gave us a lot of information about Malta
Our guide Marissa was wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable and informative. She was able to explain the long history of Malta / Valletta in great detail. Highly recommend this tour
Fabulous guide ( Angelica) and fascinating tour. Very well organized and paced. The audio devices were great since Valletta is a bustling city and so it was much easier to hear and appreciate the narrative
Angele was a wonderful guide who’s very knowledgeable about the city and the history of Malta. Would highly recommend this tour and Angele. Also personal listening devices made it very easy to hear her through the crowds and surrounding street noise.
Nice overview of the history of Valletta and Malta very scenic as well. Tour guide was wonderful too
Great learning experience. There is so much interesting history in Malta. Our guide was very knowledgeable. She also made every effort to guide our tour away from the crowds.
Excellent informative, friendly and patience, would definitely use again in the future, also does tours around Malta
The guide Danielle was good but may be to wait to view the salute cannons
Our tour guide Maritza was fantastic. She’s the native of the city and knew all the relevant history. She related very interesting stories. The tour was easy without too much strenuous uphill walking. We really got a nice overview of Valetta
Loved this tour! It was called "On the Footsteps of the Knights. A private tour which was very expensive but not our guide's faut. Very interesting and fun too. Nadine was a fantastic guide and her english was perfect. Ask for Nadine Thanks very much Nadine!!
Our guide was prompt and professional and the group were friendly. She gave us earpieces so we could hear her and gave us. Great insight into the history of Malta and the city it was great
Definitely a worthwhile experience, barring the hot weather. Nadine was an excellent guide; she was so knowledgeable about her country and thoughtful about keeping us out of the sun as much as possible.
John was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and fun too! A fantastic insightful tour of the city, not too overwhelming despite the heat also. Highly recommend
We were very happy with this well planned, efficiency, clear voiced, informative guided tour. Thanks to Ernest!
We loved this tour. Our guide had great knowledge and was very entertaining. Knowing the history of Valetta makes you appreciate and understand the city so much better. I would say this is a holiday must.
Our guide, Angele, was superb. Very knowledgeable, approachable and friendly. She was able to bring things to life with her own experiences of Valletta. Highly recommend this tour, excellent value for money.
Apart from a shaky start when I booked online ( as advised by a walking tour guide) and paid for a tour that I could not go on as it was already underway!) ( unintentionally as I was trying to find availability. The company did offer m the option of 2 other days or most of my money back but I did not get confirmation of that date so turned up feeling very unsure as to whether I was booked on or not. Angele was very good though and quickly reassured and welcomed me onto the tour with my husband. The tour itself was fascinating and Angele was very knowledgeable and was answering questions and giving us both pictorial and verbal details that brought the different eras of Malta alive. We now have a much better appreciation of Malta and when we walk around understand more of what we are seeing- thank you. Really would recommend the tour x
We did this on our first proper day in Malta to get orientated and learn about the country. It is a great town and the guide was very knowledgeable. I liked that she pointed out other things to do and places to go. I liked that she used a microphone and headphones so we could hear her but I think she needs a better muff to block the wind as that made it a bit crackly sometimes.
Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. Even though we had problems finding the meeting point, he went out of his way to find us so we could join the tour.
Excellent tour guide who was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and certainly loves her work promoting Malta and the history. Highly recommended.
Excellent tour, with a knowledgble and entertaining guide.
We joined a walking tour of Valletta on Monday morning and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The tour was extremely informative, providing a fascinating insight into the city’s rich history, architecture, and culture. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about Valletta, bringing the city’s stories and landmarks to life with interesting facts and anecdotes. The pace of the tour was comfortable, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and take in the stunning surroundings. It was a fantastic way to explore Valletta and gain a deeper understanding of this beautiful historic city. We would highly recommend this walking tour to anyone visiting Malta – an enjoyable and worthwhile experience from start to finish.
Excellent tour. Our guide, Marissa was great - mixing history with everyday information about Valletta and Malta. We took this tour on our first morning and it really helped to orientate ourselves for our holiday,
A casual and very informative stroll through the amazing city of Valletta. I highly recommend it as the first thing to do on arrival. Our guide was very experienced, very knowledgeable and her voice so calm and relaxing. There were very few questions to her from the group as she told us all we needed. Value for money!
This tour is well worth it if you are interested in the history of the island. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, personable and funny. She graciously stopped at a number of shady spots to give us the history which we really appreciated as it was very hot. She gave recommendations for dining as well as ways to spend the rest of the day as we were there only for the day on a cruise. The popular areas are extremely crowded, but she navigated very well and the microphone headsets were great to hear her over the noise. My only suggestion would be to make the description on where to meet clearer because we had a bit of trouble finding the group. It was our first time visiting and we were walking from the Valetta port. Google maps took us to the wrong place and the people were not too helpful with directions. Otherwise, a fantastic tour.
Marrisa was brilliant she was Very informative told us lots about the history of Valletta. She was patient when asked questions and always knew the answer. I would definitely recommend this trip .
Angele was a great host who has lived in the area for some time and clearly knows it really well. This is a brilliant tour which also takes in some of the quieter parts of Valletta, off the beaten track and away from the busy tourist areas. Packed with interesting history and highly recommended!
A very smooth, well organised, and enjoyable tour in every way. Angele was a perfect host, with impeccable use of language delivered with heartfelt affection for her home city. Really brought the fascinating history to life in a way we could never have achieved on our own.
This was a great tour! Very interesting and informative - the guide was great. She steered us to places with shade or seats whenever possible, knew quiet spots to get away from the million other tour groups, and she was full of great info. Recommend!
Our guide Angela is Maltese and she provided wonderful insight into the history and development of Valletta. We only walked a short distance around the core of the city but every stop was marked with an anecdote or brief story to build up our understanding and appreciation for this wonderful city.
Our guide Marisa was great, she gave us so much information about history, malta and everyday living. We were thrilled.
Angel was great! So informative with a good mix of history and current culture. A nice pace - a great way to learn about the city! Would recommend
Very interesting and informative
The lady who was our tour guide was born and bred in Malta and obviously knew her stuff. She was very informative but we had to break off due to other commitments after an hour and 45 mins...but the time we did spend with her was excellent aided by an efficient sound ear piece system so we could hear her clearly and from a good distance away.
Nadine was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable and fascinating to listen to. Pace was perfect. Highly recommended, one of the best city walking tours we have done
Thanks to the very interesting, fun and knowledgable Marisa we learnt so much on this brilliant tour. Also went to places we’d not previously found. Highly recommended.
Nice tour and a nice addition to a night tour I did a few days earlier.
Great tour guide - Mariella was super informative and engaging and gave us a very comprehensive overview of Valletta. Really enjoyed it.
This is a pretty thorough walking tour to where you learned the history of the area and also how to navigate if you want to go explore it on your own.
My husband and I usually take a walking tour the first morning we arrive in a new city. This tour was fine. I was a bit distracted because we had a lot of people who came late and the group was very large — 30 people. The guide didn’t have everyone introduce themselves which I previously didn’t appreciate but missed it when it wasn’t done yesterday it’s an opportunity to meet new people and make the group more cohesive. There were many historical stories but not so much about the here and now and what we see. For instance, one of the last sentences of her 2.5 hour walk was “those additions on the grandmaster palace are balconies and showed wealth.” A bit underwhelming especially when I passed another tour going on describing in detail the buildings and the “pregnant” ironwork covering the windows.
Absolutely brilliant walking tour of this beautiful city - filled with so much history & information - our guide Marissa was incredible; so knowledgeable & friendly -can confidently recommend this walking tour.
Marissa did a great job explaining the history of Valletta. She was very knowledgeable, informative and easy to understand. We were glad we had over the ear headsets to hear her clearly. Marissa was concise and explained things very well. We were very happy to have this overview on our 1st day in Malta.
