While the tour covered the major sites to see. I paid for a private tour. The extra money for a private guided tour was not worth it.

Ramla Bay is located at the bottom of a rich and fertile valley on the northern side of the island of Gozo. The village of Xagħra, located on one of the hills of Gozo, overlooks this valley. The terraced walls built by the farmers give the valley an appearance of a quilt when viewed from the high ridges surrounding it. Ramla Bay is renowned for its golden 'red sands'. This beautiful sandy beach offers the perfect spot to cool down and take a quick dip during the Summer months.
Ġgantija (Maltese pronunciation: [dʒɡanˈtiːja], "Giantess") is a megalithic temple complex from the Neolithic on the Mediterranean island of Gozo. The Ġgantija temples are the earliest of the Megalithic Temples of Malta and are older than the pyramids of Egypt. Their makers erected the two Ġgantija temples during the Neolithic (c. 3600–2500 BC), which makes these temples more than 5500 years old and the world's second oldest existing manmade religious structures after Göbekli Tepe in present-day Turkey. Together with other similar structures, these have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Megalithic Temples of Malta.
Xlendi is a village in Malta situated in the south west of the island of Gozo. It is surrounded by the villages of Munxar, Fontana and Kerċem. The village is administered by Munxar,[1] but has its own coat of arms and motto. From March 2010, Xlendi has had its own 5-person "mini council" responsible for the main activities of the area.
Xlendi Tower (Maltese: Torri tax-Xlendi) is a small watchtower near Xlendi Bay, within the limits of Munxar on the island of Gozo in Malta. The tower is one of the Lascaris towers and dates to 1650; it is currently undergoing restoration. It is the oldest of the four surviving watchtowers on Gozo.[a] The earlier Garzes and Marsalforn towers were destroyed in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Dwejra, with its dramatic coastal formations and sea spilling over the rocks, is a magical attraction. Here you can swim in the spectacular deep sea of the bay, in the calm shallows of the inland sea or in the foamy waters around the Blue Hole – one of Gozo’s top dive-sites. Dwejra is also home of the Fungus Rock or, as it is locally known, “Il-Ġebla tal-Ġeneral”, General’s Rock. It is so called in remembrance of the Italian General who centuries ago fell to his death while supervising quarrying in the area. History tells us that a special plant believed to have medicinal and healing properties used to grow on Fungus Rock and because of this the Rock used to be heavily guarded during the era of the Knights of Malta. Anyone caught stealing the crop was sentenced to death or to a life rowing the Knights’ galleys. The crop was picked and brought to the mainland using a primitive system of baskets and pulleys.
A small enclosed bay at Dwejra Point is connected to the open sea through a large tunnel stretching approximately 80m. The walls on both sides are deep, vertical and overhanging for most of the way. This tunnel is only 6m deep at the start of the dive, immediately dropping down to 15m, and halfway through, the seabed is at 25m. The view as you look out into the deep indigo blue of the open sea is spectacular. Around the corner to both left and right, there are further vertical fissures and caves in the cliff face to be explored, while the marine life in this area is prolific.
The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu (Maltese: Santwarju Bażilika tal-Madonna ta' Pinu) is a Roman Catholic minor basilica and national shrine located some 700 metres (2,300 ft) from the village of Għarb on the island of Gozo, the sister island of Malta. The church is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu. The basilica is located in open countryside which allows visitors to enjoy beautiful views of the area and is of great national importance to Gozitans everywhere.
Marsalforn (Pronounced: Marsa el-Forn, | Maltese: Marsalforn),[1] also written as M'Forn for shortcut purposes, is a town on the north coast of Gozo, the second largest island of the Maltese archipelago. The town lies between the hill-top towns of Xagħra and Żebbuġ. Associated with this town there is also the bay of Qbajjar. The town forms part of the locality of Żebbuġ. Marsalforn is one of the most popular tourist resorts on Gozo. It is well served with hotels, guest houses, restaurants, bars, and beaches. There is only a one small sandy beach in Marsalforn, however, along the rocky coastline there are a number of interesting swimming spots. Also, there's only one police station in Marsalforn.
The Cittadella (Maltese: Iċ-Ċittadella), also known as the Castello (Maltese: Il-Kastell),[a] is the citadel of Victoria on the island of Gozo, Malta. The area has been inhabited since the Bronze Age, and the site now occupied by the Cittadella is believed to have been the acropolis of the Punic-Roman city of Gaulos or Glauconis Civitas. During the medieval period, the acropolis was converted into a castle which served as a refuge for Gozo's population. A suburb began to develop outside its walls by the 15th century, and this area now forms the historic core of Victoria. The castle's defences were obsolete by the 16th century, and in 1551 an Ottoman force invaded Gozo and sacked the Cittadella.
This beautiful church boats the 3rd largest dome in Europe (75m high). It is modelled on the Santa Maria della Salute Church in Venezia. The 'Church within a church' was built around the smaller, former church, which was meticulously dismantled and is now a musuem inside (small donation required to access museum, and the lift to access the roof where you can walk the perimeter of the dome and get a birds eye view of Gozo. The church took 20 years to build - as was funded by public money. A church 'for the people and by the people'.

We booked as a group of 5 adults. Our guide Godwin was great - really informative and friendly. We managed to see a lot of the island including the inland sea boat tour - you need €5 cash per person. A decent lunch was included and there were other opportunities to buy snacks and souvenirs. We needed at Ramla beach so I.recommend taking a towel and swimmers.
What a wonderful authentic experience! We loved exploring this gem of an island! Gozo Pride were experienced, professional and great fun to be with. Stefanie was outstanding and we loved every minute of our tour! We’d love to do it all over again! Highly recommended!
We recently took a Gozo jeep tour with Gozo Pride Tours. While the day allowed us to see a good amount of the island and some beautiful scenery, overall the experience was mixed rather than exceptional. Travelling around Gozo by jeep was enjoyable and gave access to locations you would not easily visit independently. We stopped at several coastal viewpoints, beaches and Victoria itself, although time at some locations felt quite limited. One disappointment was that groups are restricted to five passengers per vehicle, which meant I was separated from my partner for most of the day. This was not explained when booking and would have been helpful to know in advance. Communication during the tour was also inconsistent. Our driver spoke mainly in Polish and there was very little information shared in English with some passengers. In addition, due to the noise of the open jeep while travelling, it was often difficult to hear the driver clearly anyway. A useful improvement might be the introduction of a simple audio or listening system, where passengers could hear commentary about the history and locations being visited in different languages. This would greatly enhance the experience, as at times we found ourselves simply looking at places without understanding their historical or cultural significance. During the tour we stopped at a bay where an optional boat trip was offered at an additional €5 per person. The boat ride itself was enjoyable, however it would have been better if this extra cost had been made clear beforehand. We also visited a local café offering tastings of olives, sun-dried tomato paste and local sausage, which was pleasant. Lunch, however, was disappointing. The three-course meal was fairly basic, portions were small, and only one glass of wine and water were included. Considering the overall tour price of around €80 per person, the meal did not feel particularly good value. Overall, the tour provides a convenient way to see Gozo in a single day, but clearer communication, better explanation of sites, improved meal quality and transparency regarding extras would significantly improve the experience.
Off to a great start, with a pick up in an air conditioned van. We got on a boat that held 24 others and got to Gozo quickly so I found those 2 things worth it. It was less people, more space and seamless flow!!!! Then we continued to have a private tour (of 2) with JOE.Z. He is priceless! We enjoyed his humour, knowledge, experience, we felt comfortable and safe. A real gem of a Maltese man! Our vehicle was a can am - very comfortable for us. (Its a larger “buggy”) Joe offered us options and we really left it up to him. I liked not having to wait (as you do on tours) for others and deciding as we went along. It was the perfect choice for us…. And to Joe Z much gratitude for making our day on Gozo a great time! On the way back again every thing was seamless from boat to van return. And the boat did drive by Camino and caves. We feel the value was worth it and recommend this tour.
Brilliant trip, transfer from hotel, onto boat over to Gozo. Met Jeep driver George who really made the experience good for us. He was very relaxed, funny and knowledgable. Would recommend the trip
We had a fantastic tour with George around Gozo last week. We are a family of 3 (2 mid 50s and 1 mid 20s) and the tour catered to all of our interests. George was a fantastic tour guide, and included a range of different stops from churches, to caves / landforms (for my Geography interests), and lovely villages. He often volunteered to take our photograph, and completely catered the day to our wants / needs. Nothing was too much! George even recommended a vegan ice cream parlour for myself and ensured that the restaurant was aware of our dietary requirements. The meal included was good, and the restaurant catering for vegan and vegetarian diets. The transfer from the hotel was efficient, as was the boat crossing. We sailed by Comino Island and the Blue Lagoon on the way home, stopping to allow us to take some pictures. It was a great day for all 3 of us, and we can’t thank George enough for his kindness. and for welcoming us to his home of Gozo.
What a wonderful way to spend the day touring Gozo with our guide “Bennie” we did so much-swimming, sight seeing, eating and most importantly laughing we cannot recommend this enough the whole day was brilliant
My friend and I just returned from an amazing trip to Gozo and we couldn't be happier with our experience! From start to finish, everything was fantastic. The scenery was breathtaking, and every activity we did was filled with excitement and fun. It was a perfect getaway that allowed us to relax and create unforgettable memories together. I can't recommend Gozo enough for anyone looking to have a great time with friends! With tour guide Jeffery, and it was an unforgettable experience! Jeffery is not only responsible but also brings a wonderful sense of humor to every tour. His extensive knowledge of the area added depth to our journey, allowing us to appreciate the rich history and culture in a way that only a local could. From pointing out hidden gems to sharing entertaining stories, Jeffery made every moment enjoyable. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fun and informative tour—he truly knows the area inside and out!
Great time travelling around with Connie. Super fun and full of energy. Showed us around the island in our little jeep. Took us to an excellent restaurant at lunch time. Great experience.
We had a brilliant day on the Jeep tour of Gozo. Really well planned from start to finish & our guide Vince was amazing. Being just 4 of us meant we had our own personalised island tour including a stop at the cat sanctuary & this certainly tops any organised tour we've ever done in any country before. Vince was a lovely guy, very funny & he made sure we saw the best bits the island had to offer. Would 100% recommend this trip.
After a bus ride to the departure point, we took a boat to Gozo where the jeeps were waiting. The driver was fun, friendly, knowledgeable and spoke both English and Dutch. A full day of short but interesting stops with lunch at a Gozo restaurant was followed by the return boat. Overall a great day out
We did the Gozo Pride private jeep tour with Vince L and we had a great time. He was so good with our twins- very kind & we found him to be a helpful & accomodating person. He was happy to take pics for us and we appreciate that. He was very mindful of how we wanted to spend our time and planned as per that, so we got the most out of our day. We were lucky to have him- highly recommend doing this & don't be reluctant if you are family with young kids! The booking process was straighforward - I emailed them as the website form would'nt submit. Takes them a couple of days of respond & you pay a €100 deposit ahead & the rest on the day of the tour in cash. The transfer process was well managed- the pick up from the hotel to the boat, then boat to Gozo (roughly 25 mins & then, the other way around with a quick look at Comino from the boat.) All in all we thought it was good value if you want to enjoy without any hassle.
The tour was a great experience over all. Benny was a very nice guide and took us everywhere we wanted. He also added stops he thought we would enjoy. Absolutely adored te experience. A few things to keeep in mind: the jeeps are smal. I would say that no more than 4 adults (3 on the back and 1 on the front) would fit comfortably. We opted for a private tour to guarantee the space, and this was a life saver. The lunch it’s nothing special but decent food. Do not go with high expectations, though. The speed boat it’s not a pleasant experience for someone afraid of boats or that might get sea sick. It’s a quick trip, but the boat really speeds, and it’s not a smooth trip. Over all, glad to have experienced it.
Great experience. Our guide Sandro was outstanding. Local guy with a lot of knowledge. We were able to go to the sites we wanted and he filled in the rest with his recommendations.
We had a fantastic day on our jeep safari tour with our guide, Joe.Z. He was very knowledgeable about the island, friendly and great fun; he even treated us to a pastry from a local bakery. The island is beautiful and we were taken to lots of different sights. We had great time, laughed a lot and would recommend to anyone.
We had a really fantastic day on this tour. Our guide ( Peter) was fun & knowledgable, & gave us options of what to see, how long for etc, so we felt it was really tailor made to us. Transfers were smooth & straightforward & the lunch was huge!! Would thoroughly recommend!
We had a fantastic day driving around Gozo. Our guide for the day was Keegan and he was awesome at explaining the sites and history involved. Lunch was mediocre but it didn’t spoil the day even though it was 43 degrees. We were taken to 3 swimming spots which was appreciated given the temperature
Had a great time with our tour guide Joe (Keegan) yesterday! Knowing our time on Gozo was limited, he made sure we saw every last highlight and hidden gem of this beautiful island and really catered to the needs of our family. Joe, thanks for keeping us energized for a full day of touring despite the hot weather! We appreciate it!
From the moment we arrived to the company this experience was top notch. The pride that this company takes in making your excursion is top notch. Bikes are reviewed throughout the trip and at the end upon return to make sure they’re all operating at 100%. Our guides gave us the right level of history of this gorgeous island, along with sufficient time for pictures. They provided an informed overview of how to operate the machine and were patient with questions. The course of this tour is an opportune way to see a lot of sights all by ATV, incorporating some adventure and feeling the light breeze while out. I will definitely do this again on my next visit to Gozo. We also met Joseph the owner who is extremely welcoming and shows passion for his customers and making sure they have a great tour.
Went with my family today. Enjoyed it a lot. Keegan was a fantastic guide! Lovely guy and knew all the great site seeing spots.
We had a wonderful time on our full day private jeep tour! Our driver Keegan was absolutely phenomenal, he was kind, caring and extremely knowledgeable of the island. He tailored the tour to our interests and even came with us into a few of the attractions to show us around and/or give us extra information! We would highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to be allocated Keegan as your driver you are in very good hands! Thanks so much! Emma & Chris
Our private tour with Gozo Pride was excellent! We were picked up by car at our accommodation in Valletta and driven to Cirkewwa. Then a 30-person boat ride to Gozo where we were met by our fabulous guide, Joe. Joe is a native Gozoan and gave us a really good feel for life on Gozo. He took us to all of the places we wanted to go and showed us other places he thought we would like. A fantastic tour with a wonderful guide! An unexpected treat was stopping in front of the caves and rock formations along the Camino coast on the boat ride back. Unbelievably turquoise water! The drivers to and from Valletta were also great. Gozo Pride was also very accommodating in allowing us to switch the date of our tour at the last minute. Highly recommended!
My wife and I had a great experience throughout this entire tour. Our tour guide was absolutely amazing. Joe continuously helped my pregnant wife up and down the jeep whenever we would make a scenery stop, etc. He made us feel so comfortable and we just really enjoyed his positive attitude and knowledge of the area. Whenever we come back to Gozo we definitely hope to have Joe again! Thanks again Joe for your awesomeness!
Our family Visited Malta in August 2022 & we decided to take a Jeep Tour round Gozo. We had a wonderful day. The day was made extra special by our guide Joe Keegan.. Joe took enormous pride in making our day amazing. Joe has lived on the island all his life so his knowledge about this beautiful island was incredible. Many thanks to Pride Jeep Tours and especially to our new friend Joe x
We would like to thank U one more time for fantastic tour today. Driver was verry good. We realy enjoyed. 👋
This private tour is the best way to see all the amazing sites that make Gozo unique. From 17th century windmills, cultural sites pre-dating Christ by centuries, to stunning landmarks and historical churches. Maurice knows all the best places and the best vantage points for capturing the moment in pictures. This was a fantastic experience!
I went on a private jeep full day tour. My guide was Maurice. He was very nice and outgoing and he’s from Gozo, so he has a lot of knowledge! I had a list of particular places I wanted to visit and we visited all of them. I would totally recommend this!
We had an AMAZING day. The country of Malta is wonderful in general, but Gozo takes the cake. Stunningly beautiful. The Jeep tour was awesome, but our tour guide Ian is what set it all over the top. He made the whole adventure splendid. Gave us continual facts about the whole island. Extremely personable & by the end of the day we felt like we were friends with him. IF you decide to do the Jeep tours..see if you can request Ian!
The Jeep tour was excellent. Maurice is a brilliant guide who really is very attentive and professional! He explained details and he showed all the most beautiful places of this magic island. I also like the fact that the communication with Gozo pride tour was easy and Jennifer was very responsive! This was beautiful day!
It was a very well organized tour. Also Matias the guide (Brazilian) was very nice and made us have a beautiful day. We strolled a lot and knew everything that was planned
Had a great day. Guide pauline brought us to beautiful places and with nice stories. Really a hit. Should you go ask definitely behind guide pauline.
Far too expensive! 270 euros per person! If you book this trip as a single person it also costs 270 euros! So we should have each had a jeep and each had their own guide! What is this pricing policy? The only good thing about this tour was the guide - and lunch was also ok! Everything broke in between even the jeep so you had to wait for replacement! Round trip transfers from the port were made in a bus without aircondition - but fully staffed of course! Our conclusion: never again!
We were met in Gozo by our friendly guide Pauline, who would drive us around in her jeep. Not only was she super friendly, she was very passionate about the history and facts about Gozo, she gave us nice tips, such as the opportunity to sail between the rocks in Dwejra in a boat. There was plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful view everywhere, including for swimming, we enjoyed a delicious lunch (3 courses) at La rotunda with water and wine included. If you visit Malta, this is definitely recommended (ask for Pauline as a Dutch-speaking guide), it was also fun to do in a group. Thank you Pauline!!! We were happy to give you a little extra.
We relied on these professionals for a guided jeep tour in Gozo in August. The owner was very kind, he made an exceptional person available to us: Giuseppe (Giuseppe.z) who spoke Italian and was responsible for managing this fantastic tour offering beautiful views that only a person from the island could know. Small moments of refreshment and laughter were the icing on the cake. Truly recommended trip, and maximum seriousness
I hired the Service in Brazil easily via WhatsApp! We did a jeep tour by Gozo with the chauffeur kweegan which was very inquisitive is amazing! I highly recommend the Enterprise
I joined the jeep tour with transfer from Malta to Gozo by private boat. Very efficient and organized, they picked us up in van directly from the hotel on time. The 4-person jeep tour with a private guide is very nice and allows you to visit the whole island comfortably even on the hottest days. Our guide was Italian (Antonello, very nice and helpful)
We were picked up directly on arrival in Gozo after a fast boat crossing. There were four of us in the jeep and what I appreciated was the speed of travel between all the interests throughout the island that offers us a thousand facets of its culture. We had booked this activity with Viator as a top priority. Travelling by jeep allows us to discover nature along winding and picturesque paths. We were not disappointed!
The route around the island was very complete, fun and we learned a lot about Malta. Sara is an excellent professional, very friendly and taught us many things. The restaurant menu was good but it was small. Highly recommended
Thank you to our friendly guide Sarah for letting us know about this island on October 19th and we highly recommend doing it by jeep to discover the maximum
We had the chance and really a huge happiness to make the expedition with Yannick. Visiting the island gives you plenty of sight. There were only three of us in the jeep. I recommend this guide, which puts a lot of good mood. Thanks. Dominique and Sandrine.
Fantastic day. We went there with 3 family and had a lot of expectations regarding this visit. We were not disappointed at all. Incredible day despite torrential rain, Yannick our guide made us laugh and has such a culture that the experience was rewarding, funny, perfect in other words. He showed us all the soul of Gozo and undeniably showed us the kindness of the islanders. This day was the highlight of our holiday and we recommend it 100%. Thank you for this unforgettable (and wet) experience. A huge thank you especially to our guide and driver Yannick!
In early September we decided to take a guided tour to Gozo and came across GozoPrideTours, which had good reviews. The combination tour we requested was not offered except as a private tour 240€ for 2 people. We were picked up from a collection point in Valletta at 07:45 and driven to the jetty where we had to wait for a good hour in the blazing sun with no seating and no supply point for more guests. The organization seemed slightly chaotic. Afterwards we started in two very well filled boats towards Gozo, where we looked for our driver who drove us around the island. After visiting some lookouts and attractions, we went to a restaurant of mediocre quality and unfriendly staff. Then our driver drove us to the port, where the private tour ended and we suddenly went with several strangers on a boat to the lagoon and were dropped off there in the blazing sun. This really didn't correspond to our idea of a private land&sea tour. Comino is a completely cluttered tight land dispute where there is no shade unless you find a parasol and pay 15€ for it. To be continued
Unforgettable day in Gozo by jeep with the very good driver Luis, island doc with excellent Italian. He pampered us, showed us a lot of wonderful places, was very patient and gave us attention and useful advice. Spectacular swim stop at the famous Ramla Bay with red/orange sand. The organization of the tour was impeccable from the first contact with the agency. Only lunch was simple but still good and the view from the restaurant was breathtaking. Yes children loved it. Oh, congratulations.
