Excellent tour. Tour was easily modified to include an additional excavation. My guide Mark was knowledgeable and had interesting insights about the sites and Malta. He helped with access, and provided earbuds with audio guides at several sites. Having a private car enabled me to see and spend time looking at the major excavations, museums and beautiful photo spots all over the island in one day. Great experience!

Cannot say enough about our guide Mark. He was kind, courteous, knowledgeable and the best guide we’ve had the pleasure of meeting in our travels. Wish every port we went to had a Mark. Excellent opportunity to speak the guide about Maltese history, recent events and so much more. Being able to see a few features at our own pace was also a good feature.

We already liked the itinerary as listed and only wanted to add one other location. However, our exceptional guide, Christopher, asked us about our interests and modified our itinerary accordingly. He changed the order of the itinerary to avoid crowds. Kudos to Christopher for making our visit to Malta so enjoyable.

Right from the get go, Marc was engaged and prepared for a full day tour of Malta. He was knowledgeable, personable, and an outstanding driver. He helped us with entry to various stops and gave us tips about how to enjoy the areas we visited efficiently. He has intimate knowledge about the islands, gained over a lifetime and he shared this information. He even bought us the best pastizzi we had on Malta. Itinerary was good to start with but Christopher tweaked it so we saw some things on our tick list that were not included Christopher was an excellent guide -so knowledgeable and patient with 2 ‘oldies’ ! Unfortunately lunch took longer than it should which meant we had no time in Rabat

Had an excellent day exploring some of Malta’s amazing places. From his first text in the morning until he dropped me and my wife off at our hotel at the end of the trip; Mark was an outstanding driver, guide, and historian. Could not imagine a better way to spend a full day in Malta!

Christopher was our guide and driver for the day. The car was large enough for 4 adults and was driven very professionally. Christopher assisted us in planning a route around the parts of Malta we were eager to see. He guided around queues and chose spots for lunch and snacks. Our tour was perfect from the start to end. Our guide Christopher was a wonderful guide clearly dedicated to ensuring our expectations & interests were met. And, they were met in every way. We toured the 3 cities, Mdina, Rabat,Hagar Kim, marsaxlokk, blue grotto, Dingli cliffs, with each stop catered to what we wanted. Christopher was quite knowledgeable giving us great overviews, as well as answering all our questions. He was professional, congenial, pleasant, an excellent driver, and a pleasure to be with. We consider ourselves looking out having Christopher as our guide.

This was a comprehensive tour that was extremely well run, all encompassing, and most enjoyable. We saw so much in a relaxed manner. Tailor-made trip. Christopher asked what we wanted to see and planned the route to accommodate this. He gave advice on how long we would need on each activity. His knowledge of Malta and the history added to the day. Christopher gave clear explanations of where he would be when we wanted to move to the next destination and we were not rushed and he gave us a day we will not forget.

Christopher was our driver for our tour. This was by far our favorite day in Malta. He was very attentive and accommodating to whatever we wanted. Although the trip description says he isn’t a tour guide, he was very knowledgeable, and gave us a local perspective on Malta. He showed us the most beautiful architecture and nature that Malta has to offer. We were able to see almost the entire island in roughly 8 hours. My family and I highly recommend this tour! The privacy of a small and familiar group comes with many advantages too. The transportation provided by Christopher was very comfortable and we thank him for his excellent service and cold water supply.

Christopher was an excellent guide. We were a party of 4 with a 2. 1/2 year old. He worked with us on a flexible schedule and gave some wonderful suggestions re shopping and restaurant selection. He has a very good command of local history. Well with the money. Would definitely recommend. Thumbs up and 5 stars!

Mark did a fantastic job with our all day tour. He was very knowledgeable about the temples and at no time did we feel rushed. He arrived on time and we were able to communicate with him easily. If you want to get a true appreciation of Malta, culturally and historically, the Island Traveller private tour with Christopher is a must! Given the time that we had, he managed to drive us through the narrow and winding streets of the three Cities, up to the Blue Grotto, onto the Hagr Qim Temples and finishing off in Rabat.. We had a fantastic day discovering Malta’s ancient wonders, beautiful coastline and charming towns with our private driver. Our tour took us to the Tarxien Temples, Marsaxlokk, Ħaġar Qim, the Blue Grotto, Dingli Cliffs, Rabat and the St. Paul’s Catacombs, ending our day in beautiful Mdina. Visiting Mdina later in the day was especially lovely – peaceful, atmospheric and a perfect ending to the tour. For us, one of the biggest advantages of this tour was how completely stress-free it was. Malta drives on the left, and instead of having to concentrate on unfamiliar roads, traffic, parking and finding our way around, we could simply relax and enjoy the scenery and the experience. Our driver made us feel very safe and comfortable throughout the whole day. He was wonderful: very friendly, knowledgeable, patient and attentive. Whenever we had questions about Malta, its history, culture or things we noticed along the way, he was always happy to answer and explain. His explanations were interesting and informative without being too long or overwhelming. He also made sure we knew where to go at each site, so everything felt very easy and well organised. He arrived on time, the car was beautiful, spacious and very comfortable, with air conditioning, and bottled water was provided throughout the day – very welcome in the Maltese summer heat! We also really appreciated his local recommendations. At the Blue Grotto, he recommended a lovely restaurant where we could have something to eat on the upper terrace with a beautiful sea view. What made the day extra special were the little spontaneous moments. After talking about local food, he stopped to get us pastizzi to try – one with ricotta and another with a traditional pea filling. At Dingli Cliffs, after we had been talking about prickly pears, he bought us some freshly peeled ones from a roadside stall. He even stopped along the way to show us where capers grow. These little touches made the experience feel much more personal and gave us a real taste of Malta. Another thing we really liked was the flexibility. There is an itinerary, but we could adapt the day to our own interests, energy and pace. There were additional things we could have done, such as visiting the nearby Mnajdra Temples or taking the boat trip at the Blue Grotto, but there was no pressure to do everything. We could simply choose what suited us and enjoy the day at our own pace. Some entrance fees and optional activities are paid separately, which is useful to know when planning your day. A beautiful, comfortable and truly stress-free way to discover so many different sides of Malta in one day. We could just sit back, enjoy Malta and let someone else take care of the driving and organisation. We really enjoyed our experience and would definitely recommend this tour!

I can only add my two cents to all the other satisfied travellers. The service, the knowledge, the flexibility were simply excellent - and very friendly. We were picked up at the cruise port terminal, a misunderstanding concerning luggage was swiftly and efficiently resolved at no cost to us, the tour was great, the lunch restaurant suggested likewise. Warmly recommended.

The trip is very flexible and you can tailor it to how much you want to do and how long you want to spend at each stop. Our driver and guide, Mark, was fabulous. Knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. We were travelling with elderly parents and he couldn’t have been more thoughtful or helpful. The itinerary was great - there is loads to explore and we really enjoyed it.
