Our guide Kenneth was early which worked well for us. He was very prepared and reviewed his suggestions and the list we had. We were able to. Is it and see all of the places on our list. His recommendation for lunch was very good. We totally enjoyed our day!

The history of Mdina traces back more than 4000 years. According to tradition it was here that in 60 A.D. that the Apostle St. Paul is said to have lived after being shipwrecked on the Islands. Furthermore it is said that St. Paul resided inside the grotto know as Fuori le Mura (outside the city walls) now known as St. Paul's Grotto in Rabat. Lamp lit by night and referred to as "the silent city", Mdina is fascinating to visit for its timeless atmosphere as well as its cultural and religious treasures.
What you can find at the Crafts Village in Ta' Qali The crafts village in Ta’ Qali is located in the former RAF wartime air-field and is a very popular tourist attraction in Malta. Here, different kinds of crafts and beautiful artefacts are sold created by local experts. You can watch the craftsmen blowing and forming glass, visit the goldsmiths filigree and beautiful jewellery and have a look at the beautiful sculptures and lace.
The Malta National Aquarium project is spread over approximately 20,000 square meters and comprises a public aquarium, a public landscaped belvedere at promenade level, a multi storey car park, facilities for local dive schools, catering facilities including a beach club, a merchandise outlet and a tourist information kiosk. The public aquarium has 41 tanks including reptiles, insects and amphibians, amongst others, Mediterranean fish, including fish commonly found in Maltese waters together with replicas of historical artefacts that one can find in the seas around the Maltese islands. The main tank of the aquarium houses species from the Indian Ocean, including eight black tip sharks, horn sharks, rays, eels and other exotic species. The main tank is approximately 12 meters in diameter and has a walk-through tunnel that allows visitors to experience the fish at a much closer range. All tanks are expertly themed to replicate the underwater environment.
A visit to Popeye Village, which was the original film set of the musical production Popeye is surely a must on your what to do list in Malta. This is a great place to take your kids to meet world famous cartoon characters. Popeye village is situated just off Mellieha Bay, so its an excellent place to visit before, after, or whilst spending the day at the numerous beaches and coves around the area or just next door at the enclosed Anchor Bay which is equipped with sun beds, umbrellas, showers, bathing areas, splash pools and a small kids area.
The Blue Grotto is located on the southern coast of Malta, west of Wied iz-Zurrieq facing the little deserted islet of Filfla. The site got its name from a British soldier who thought that since the area looks like the Grotta Azzurra in Capri, it deserves the same name, and in fact Blue Grotto is the equivalent for Grotta Azzurra in English. The site is extremely popular, attracting some 100,000 tourists per year, also for diving purposes. The site also features in the film Troy (2004) starring Brad Pitt. The location of this fascinating natural grotto combines with sunlight and the surrounding chain of caves to reflect the phosphorescent colours of the submerged flora and the deep dark shade of blue of the sea.
St Peter's Pool is a fantastic swimming spot, a natural lido in the rocks with large areas of flat slab for sunbathing between swims. Follow the narrow road out towards Delimara Lighthouse until you are just past the power station chimney (about 1.5km from the main road), and you'll see a low building on the left with 'St Peter's Pool' signposted on it.
The Valletta Waterfront, is a promenade in Floriana, Malta, mainly featuring three prominent buildings: a church in the middle, the Pinto Stores or the Pinto Wharf on the left, and the Forni Stores or the Forni Shopping Complex on the right. The buildings were originally stores and warehouses, built in the 18th century, and the design is attributed to Andrea Belli. The building project was officiated on August 10, 1752, with a mass festivity. The Forni Stores were used as the first British naval bakeries in Malta and were used for this function until 1844. The area is now a hub in Malta's cruise liner business as the Forni Cruise Passenger Terminal, and hosts a concentration of bars, retail outlets, and restaurants. The area was and remains a venue for several concerts and events.

Kevin was very informative and kind. He took us all over the island, including Mdina, Dingli Cliffs, Blue Grotto, Old Town and more. His van was very nice and the AC felt great in the July heat. He even stopped at a pharmacy for us so we could pickup something we needed. Definitely highly recommend.
Petra our driver was great and was able to help us customize our visit to Malta. He has great knowledge of the island and shared it with us. We had a great time.
Duncan was my driver. He was quite helpful and courteous. He had a suggested itinerary but fully sdjusted it to my needs. I had some accessibility issues requiring crutches. He had helpful suggestions on how to reduce the amount of stair s.
Considering we had rain on and off the day of our tour it could not have worked out better. Kenneth took us around the island and we got to see so much. He took us to a great restaurant for lunch, The Cliffs, which was wonderful. I highly recommend this tour.
Duncan was a fantastic guide and driver. He took us all over the island, pointed out all the sites, and answered all of our questions. He took us to a great restaurant for lunch. He also treated us to local pastries . We highly recommend him when you are in Malta.
Our driver Kevin was great. We let him know the things we definitely wanted to see (Mdina/Blue Grotto) and let him suggest the rest. Good chat with him about local life on the island of Malta. He also ensured we were back to our ship in time, but also did a quick tour of Valletta on the way back as our time in port did not allow for touring the capital as well as roaming the island.
We had an amazing experience in Malta. We booked a private cab to roam the city. Petra arrived early at our hotel as the traffic was light. He was very friendly and patient. He explained everything about what we needed to know about each place we visited. He also showed a short video clip of each place before our arrival. We visited the seat of government in Valletta, fish village in Marsaxlokk, Hagar Qim temples in Qrendi, Mdina and Mosta. They are beautiful places to visit. Petra gave us bottled water and croissants. I would highly recommend the taxi company if you plan to visit Malta.
Our private tour of Malta was very nice. I would have liked more information about the sights from our driver. Instead of telling us about Malta, he had videos on an iPad about each area for us to watch while he drove. But if I’m watching videos in the car, I’m not getting to look around at the scenery while we drive. My husband took to asking him lots of questions about the island, which he answered. He was friendly and nice, but he was basically a taxi driver to each area. He didn’t walk around with us or talk to us about anything. We didn’t get to walk around Valletta.. not enough time.. which I’m not sure how that happened since some things we wanted to see were closed on a Sunday. Next time I will take a cheaper group tour.. at least those tour guides tell things about the area.
Kenneth was nothing short of magnificent. We felt like long lost family he had found and treated us soo special. We had an idea of where we would like to visit so Kenneth showed us his special Island. Memorable Perfect day.
“Outstanding private tour! Our driver was friendly, knowledgeable, and showed us the best of Malta at a relaxed pace. From historic sites to stunning coastal views, every stop was memorable. A perfect way to explore the island in comfort and style. Highly recommend!”
Our private driver, Alberto was wonderful. He went above and beyond to make sure that we got to see the maximum amount of things in this in our time with him. He was so sweet. He also gave us a souvenir gift at the end of our tour. I can highly recommend this tour as for Alberto.
Driver was on time, drove us to Medina where we explored on foot while he waited for us, drove us on to lunch with interesting stops on the way, and dropped off at St. John’s in Valletta at the end of the day. VERY nice car and vert polite driver Kevin!
Duncan was a fabulous driver and guide. He was extremely helpful with my walking issues and restrictions
Duncan was an amazing guide ! Prompt and on time and a great personable guy !! Took us all around Malta and offered lots of options to stop and see We made a new friend in Malta
We had a fabulous day with our driver, Kenneth. He took time to ask us where we wanted to go and what kind of things we would like to do, then worked our tour around that. From Mehelia we visited Mosta, Mdina, Marsaxlokk where we had an amazing fresh fish lunch, Blue Grotto (where we had time to swim), and finally to Valetta. We showed Kenneth photos of my husbands father in the Grand Harbour in 1942 during WW2 and he was able to take us to the location so we could get photos in the sam place. Taking the private tour meant we had no waiting and could take as long as we liked at each stop. Kenneth was really knowledgeable, and an excellent driver, all in all this trip was the highlight of our first visit to Malta.
Very good experience. Kenneth, our driver, was waiting for us at the information desk near the exit of the cruise terminal and texted us about 15 minutes before we were supposed to meet. He spent a few minutes with us to map out our day, suggesting alternate sites and routes. Once we agreed on a plan, he drove us to the places we wanted to see, let us know where he would be located for pick-up, and provided info about what we were seeing along the way. We saw St. Peter's Pool, visited the Marsaxlokk harbor, rode the boats at the Blue Grotto, and spent some time walking in the old city of Mdina. Our tour started at 0800 and ended back at Valletta town square at noon. The driver picked a route that stayed mostly ahead of the tour buses so much less crowded than it could have been. And we were never pressured (or even asked) to go to shops or sales exhibits, which was a refreshing change from other tours we experienced. Perfect day in Malta!
Overall very good because we were able to customise where we wanted to go, how long we spent there and work around the expected rain. The driver turned up in a Peugeot mini-bus rather than an executive saloon but it meant we had more space inside. The driver was not wearing a chauffeur’s suit as per the photographs in the advert but we preferred casual friendly look anyway. No sign of the champagne that was not our usual drink but they shouldn’t advertise something and then not provide it. The points above didn’t detract from the experience, just reduced the value, hence four stars out of five.
Kenneth was our driver! He was absolutely wonderful. The itinerary on Viator is a sample itinerary. He worked with us on where would interest us to go. I am traveling with my 91 year old grandma. He was always sure to drop us off near the entrance to places to accommodate my grandma and helped her when she needed it. Because our tour was on Independence Day, the little “shuttle” to take people up/down the big hill to catch the boat to see the Blue Grotto was not in service. Kenneth drove our car down the hill so my Grandma could do the boat and waited for us there until we were done so he could take us back up. Without him doing this, my Grandma would not have been able to do this. I also had mentioned I was hoping to find Prickly Pear Jam before we flew home. He drove us to Dingli Cliffs (which was an extra and much appreciated stop) because people were selling jam and other things there. Kenneth really went out of his way for us to make sure we had a wonderful day and was so accommodating to my Grandma. I would highly recommend this tour! Kenneth was the best, thank you!!
Friendly driver (Kenneth) looked after us well. Very comfortable car. Saw a lot of Malta on a very flexible schedule. Would recommend.
Kenneth provided us a great overview of Malta. He also identified great eating spots. I highly recommend Kenneth
Duncan was amazing! His personality, his intelligence and love for his country shines bright! We had a fantastic tour with lots of insights and local knowledge and even managed a taste of Malta! Would highly recommend AAA+
Our guide Kenneth was exceptional. He’s very informative, helpful and kind. It was a wonderful trip of sightseeing and visiting different places around the Island. Thank you
Driver was very good but English. Was not that great. Asked us what we wanted to see. Trip was not organized but he did get the job done by shouts the island. Out of fairness it was hot and we did not want to leave the car.
Perfect way to see Malta. We were able to see so much of the island. The cliffs, rotunda, Medina, Blue grotto (though it was closed due to rough seas). Our driver recommended a great restaurant in Mdina with amazing food & views. We then had a private boat tour that our driver dropped us off & picked us up afterwards. Highly recommend. Cost less than some bus tours we did at other islands for our family if 5 & we enjoyed this so much more!
We had been to Malta before and wanted to see other sites. Duncan was our wonderul driver. He took us to the Artisian Village and to coastal towns, perfect for our needs. Duncan had an excellent command of English and he knew which vendors were honest and fair priced. At the end of the tour, he had called ahead to ensure that the restaurant he recommended was open and available.
Perfecto! Looking out for us, pU on time….. showed important & history rich places!! Time left for us too meander… lovely man & clean van! Water & snack! Thx Chris!!!
Kenneth was our driver, excellent in every way. We couldn’t have had a better experience. Five stars. I would recommend him, if you can get him.
Excellent day trip. Driver was super flexible and catered the day to our needs. Car was very comfortable and driver provided bottled water and snacks throughout the day.
We had a fabulous day with Joseph, visiting many great places across the main island of Malta. We loved the church at Mosta, the historic town of Mdina, the fishing village at Marsaxlokk and the views of the Blue Grotto. Joseph was a very friendly and courteous driver, giving us plenty of time to explore the different locations. He took us to a great restaurant where we had amazing grilled octopus and a local fish in Marsaxlokk.
Emanuel was a fantastic driver and host. Nothing was too much trouble. We went to the Blue grotto, Neolithic temples, Mdina…..he even bought us Pastizzi to give us the complete experience. Recommend completely!
This was a great day out. Jason was a great personality and we enjoyed hearing all about Malta from a local perspective. The car ride was smooth cool and at a nice pace. We trusted Jason to choose the route just saying we wanted to avoid crowds and get a feel for local culture. We got what we asked for during the 8hr trip between 10am and 6pm. We stopped for a wonderful lunch at a restaurant recommended by Jason. We visited the 3 cities, ancient temples, medina mosta and Valletta. Would definitely recommend if you want comfort and the personal touch. Brian & Michelle Limerick Ireland
Duncan was excellent and obliging, supplying a list of possible places to visit, and working out our itinerary. He waited patiently for our many photo stops. A great day
Kenneth was phenomenal! He pretty much took us all around the island and gave us time for lunch without counting it part of the tour. He was very informative and shared a lot about Maltas history with us. Highly recommend!
It was lovely to have your own private driver to take you on your own itinerary and spend the time you wanted at each location. Driver was prompt and always courteous and kind.
Although the driver was very pleasant and a competent driver, he didn’t deliver much information on the places we visited. So for the high cost of the day, I didn’t feel we had value for money.
This was a fantastic way to see many parts of Malta with limited time. Our driver Jason was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The day was tailored to exactly what we wanted to see and do. Thoroughly recommend!
An excellent way to see the island with limited time. Our driver was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and tailored our day to what we wanted to see. Highly recommend.
Our driver Kenneth was very kind and went out of his way to accommodate us. Only drawback was the package indicated the inclusion of chocolates, champagne and roses which we did not receive.
Look no further !!! THEY are the BEST !!! The best company and we had the best driver Kenneth ! I was in Malta for 9 days with my family and needed a private driver the entire time and also a tour guide. This company was fantastic to work with!! I was not going to rent a car as I do not drive on that side of the road and I did not want to bother with trying to get a taxi or Uber constantly and waiting. We booked a private drive from 10 am until 8pm every day to take us everywhere we wanted. Kenneth was the driver with us every day and he was the best. I am so thankful for him. He was a very safe driver, was always early and was always there when we needed him. We loved him ! REQUEST KENNETH !! We also had a tour guide for 2 days, Eliza, that we booked through the company and she was fantastic ! Trust me ... this company is fantastic and worth it
Just what we needed- someone who is knowledgable about the area and who could schedule a full day tour according to our preferences. Got to see the whole island in a day with the activities and sightseeing we were looking to do. Highly recommended!
Last week we did a trip to Malta and our driver Kenneth was awesome. He was very helpful, friendly, punctual & very polite. He was very flexible and worked through our list and gave very valuable recommendations on places to visit. The van was clean, provided snacks, water bottles and very considerate for the kids as they had kids juices. Kenneth was very flexible with time and not only shared the local tips but took us to lot of places in Malta. We had such a wonderful experience and lot of credit it goes to Kenneth. Big recommendation for him and the company.
Our driver, Kenneth, was punctual, friendly, and has a very easy going polite attitude. The company gave us flexibility with the time frame of our tour and they also allowed us to make our own list of places to visit. A few minutes prior to our pick-up, they gave us a heads-up call to say that the driver will be outside in 5 minutes. In addition, the van was clean and they provided local snacks and water bottles for us. Note: You have to do your own research on the places you intend to visit because the company/driver does not provide background information on them. This is something that the company could consider including to make the experience more meaningful. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience and we do recommend this company 🙂
The driver was great, could not be more heplful, took us all over Malta. He took us to the Hypogeum,Tarxien and Hagar Qim temples, Popeye Village, Marsaxlokk and to our Hotel.
This day trip was really fun. The driver was late but was more than happy to make up for the delay. Took us where we wanted to go, waited for us and drove us around, making suggestions that would help us see more without going back and forth. Provided solid advice and we could not be happier with the service. Highly recommended.
The driver didn't have an itinerary with him. Poor arrangement of the tour. We ate lunch at 15:00 and the Blue Grotto was closed when we finally got there. He drove the minibus like a racing car that made every one who sat in the back of the van getting sick.
Our Private Tour of Malta was very nice. The guide bent over backwards to accommodate our wishes. We spent extra time at places and skipped others based on our desires. Well done!
I already knew from now on that I did not get what was offered in the booking. I wanted a driver who spoke German. There came a very young driver who spoke only English and I also think he still lacked the necessary experience. We did not want to visit the typical crowded tourist places so we asked him for advice. But not much came back. Information and smalltalk while driving zero. It was also not a BMW sedan but a Seat Bus. I don't expect any chocolates or flowers with this heat either....there was only water and local chips. Too bad...will not book this offer anymore and so can not recommend it.
The tour went very well. The driver was at our disposal throughout the day, always kind and helpful. We visited the most important attractions of Malta. However, I would like to point out that in the booking confirmation received from Viator it was stated that, included in the price, were included a small Maltese meal, water and WiFi on board the bus : unfortunately this did not happen.
