Punctual and friendly pick up in Valletta. Quite long minibus ride to ferry terminal. No time for comfort break as straight on the buggies. Don't drink too much for breakfast!. Buggies great fun....noisy and bumpy but great on the back roads. Peter our driver was great fun and got us to all the best places before the crowds. Lunch fine and buffet style. Wine and water available. Very busy awaiting boat for return journey and very long return journey back to Valletta due to heavy traffic. V long but v enjoyable day.

We had a fantastic day with Steve as our guide. He was very knowledgeable a Absolutely disappointing – no service and left out of pocket! We are extremely disappointed with Barbarossa Excursions. It was agreed in writing via email that we would be picked up at 8:15 a.m. at the Plaza Regency Hotel on October 10, 2026. On that day, there was a severe thunderstorm with flooding – and we were literally left standing in the rain because the bus simply didn't come. In order to even make our booked tour, we had to spontaneously take a taxi for eight people to the ferry at our own expense. When we arrived at the end of the tour, the bus driver didn't even bother to apologize. Instead, he shamelessly mocked and ridiculed us. He was waiting at a completely different hotel, the Preluna Hotel, 1.5 km away. After inquiring and complaining, we received no reimbursement whatsoever for the taxi fare. No understanding whatsoever, no willingness to compromise, and incredibly disrespectful behavior towards the guests. This is completely unprofessional. We absolutely cannot recommend this provider!
I had a great time on this tour, despite having some issues getting picked up. The driver was almost an hour late to pick me up, and there was no communication about the delay from the company until I contacted them. There was a major accident that caused a lot of traffic, so the delay was not their fault, but the communication could have been better. Once we got to the boat to Gozo, I had a great time, though. My guide Luke was great; he got us around the island very quickly.
Excellent tour and excellent way of seeing the island. George excellent guide.
Wonderful day trip with our driver/guide Camila. A superb way to see the highlights of Gozo.
This was such a fun day! Peter was our guide and he was fantastic! Very informative & fun! Gozo is beautiful & this was such a fun way to see it!
This was a great day on Gozo Island. The buggy tour is a perfect way to see the island and our guide (Joe Maggan) was absolutely terrific. We had a little snafu on the way out (torrential rainstorm prevented us from walking to the meeting place) and although we messaged ahead of time, it took a bit to get that solved. That being said, the team helped us with scheduling so that we could catch the Gozo fast ferry and meet the group in Gozo. Will say that it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, if you're staying in Valletta, to travel with the group to Gozo. We took the fast ferry at 8:45 (vs meeting a van at 8 and driving more than 30 minutes to Cirkewwa) and arrived in Gozo at the same time. On the way back, the private boat takes you past Comino and allows for a swim stop so that's completely worthwhile, but know it will take at least another 40 minutes to get back to Valletta.
Poorly organized tour. Very little time was given at each stop, so basically you spend the day in a jeep moving from place to place without truly enjoying the places you visit. The included lunch was a disaster and definitely not worth it. I also had pickup issues because the driver didn’t have me on his list. Overall, the organization needs significant improvement.
Best way to spend a day in Gozo from the minute I got picked up till the day ended it was fabulous Tour guide was great and all the stops were very interesting Last stop was a swim in blue lagoon great day
It was great, we went all over Gozo on the Bugees. The tour guides were amazing and so attentive. Very informative experience. We would recommend to anyone planning to visit Malta. Blue Lagoon stop was one I will never forget.
George was a fantastic driver it was a brilliant experience great value for money
Verry interesting guide, driver ,Sam profy
Amazing day with Sam our guide, having grown up on the island he provided a great insight and really tailored the trip to what we wanted to see and do. Can't recommend enough. Thanks Sam!!
We had a great time! So much to see there. My only suggestion was sometimes it felt rushed at our stops. It was alot to fit in. An extra hour or so would have made it feel a little less rushed.
Had an amazing day at Gozo. This experience was made so much better with our guide “Sam I Am” who gave many stories and have many interesting tidbits!
Sam our tour guide was amazing. Super knowledgeable of his island Gozo. He made the experience memorable.
We were a group of three, and had a great time with our tour guide Ian. Although the buggy we had was quite loud and old, our guide was very accommodating and attentive. The trip was very diverse, as we got to see all the beautiful architecture and nature that Gozo has to offer. Lunch was also good, and the boat ride back was a fun experience to end the day with. It was truly a full day tour!
We picked up the boat and travelled to Gozo, passing Comino along the way. Our buggy transport was waiting for us when we arrived, and we were joined by two other people. The buggy was an enjoyable and novel way to explore the island. Our driver and guide for the day was Ian, who was excellent. He stopped at various locations so we could take in the views and surrounding countryside. Ian was very informative, not only sharing interesting information about the places we visited but also explaining some of the local customs and traditions. The Ggantija Museum was an additional €10 per person, but it was well worth the cost. There were a number of fascinating ancient relics dating back more than 5,000 years, as well as the impressive remains of a Neolithic temple outside. We also stopped at the Citadel, which is definitely worth visiting. There was an option to pay €5 to enter the church, and again, we felt it was well worth the money. Lunch was okay and sufficient, although nothing particularly special. At Dwejra Bay, we took a short boat trip to see the caves. At €5, this was another worthwhile extra and gave us the opportunity to see the coastline and caves from the water. We also passed the famous salt pans, where seawater is left to evaporate in large shallow pools before the salt is harvested. We were told that the salt produced there is supposed to be particularly good. On our return journey, we stopped at the Blue Lagoon for some time, which was a welcome opportunity to swim in the crystal-clear water, cool off and relax. As you would expect from such a popular attraction, there were quite a few boats around, but there was still plenty of space for us to enjoy a swim. Overall, it was a very enjoyable day and a great way to see Gozo. The buggy made the experience particularly memorable, and Ian's knowledge and enthusiasm added a lot to the tour. There were a few additional costs along the way, but in our opinion, they were well worth paying for the experiences they provided.
Had a lovely day exploring Gozo with our tour guide Sam, he was super lovely, knowledgeable and took us to amazing places we hadn’t thought of! It was a great experience worth the money for how long it is and all that you do.
We had a really interesting and enjoyable trip around Gozo, made even better by our lovely and friendly guide, George. He introduced us to the island and shared lots of interesting information about its history, culture, and main attractions. Despite the extreme heat, we had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended, and a big thank you to George for making the trip so enjoyable!
Wow a fantastic tour around Gozo and Peter our guide was passionate and so knowledgeable. Loved exploring the whole island - so much to see and so much history. A great way to pack in what could have been a whole week! The swim stops were great - and seeing the beach where Ulysses ((Odyssey) spent the 10 years etc etc was epic ! Only downside was the pick up and ferry across /back and drop off all a bit disorganised and poor communication along the way but everyone friendly and it all worked just could have been a bit better. Loved it all thanks to everyone for a great day !
Enjoyed the experience, with the exception on one swim/boat stop which felt unnecessary. Lunch was fine, guide was polite and informative. A novel experience nipping around in a buggy. Image suggested ’off road’ which was not the case, although the quality of the roads is terrible so buggy probably best option !
Our guide on the island was excellent, he was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately our transfer over and back was not very good, our boat had broken down so we had a bit of a wait in full sun, with no amenities at all. Our return, again was a quite a lengthy wait for a boat.
Michelle is the best! Thanks for the great experience
George was amazing, very knowledgeable and very good at what he does. I would highly recommend this Excursion. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟To George
It was such a fun day. The guide was super friendly and we saw so much from gozo. The tour was really personal. The lunch was also good.
Fantastic way to see Gozo and the Blue Lagoon. George was a brilliant guide and very informative. Lovely experience from start to finish and very well organised.
We had the full day buggy tour with Peter. It was myself and a family of four with 2 young children. Peter did an excellent job providing alternative activities based on people’s interest level and especially managing the intense heat of the day. We enjoyed three different swim spots as well as the main sites, which was a great choice in the heat. He was very professional and friendly. Highly recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day. The whole experience is a brilliant way to take in the island, the buggy transport make it really immersive and having your own guide through out is so helpful - a shout out to George who looked after us so well. There were a few small wrinkles in the day, due to another vehicle breaking down, but nothing drastic.
It was a great day and we also had a great instrucor. Here name was Magda and she was very kind.
Fun day out, plenty to see and do with a friendly and knowledgeable guide, good food buffet during the experience
Really enjoyed the experience and tour guide was great! Beautiful island that can’t be missed!
Our guide George was super - lots of knowledge and good chat! A fantastic day. The buggies are excellent to get around in. Our favourite stop was the Citadel. The kids also loved jumping off the boat in the Blue Lagoon.
Pick up from hotel was fine. Little bit rushed getting on the boat. Tour was great, Cliona was fab. Great local knowledge and relaxed and easy to chat to and handled unannounced road closures well. Unfortunately didn't get to blue lagoon due to change in weather so return was by ferry. Extremely chaotic and frantic return, although given ferry tickets there was no clear explanation or real instructions about what was happening..
We learned a lot about the island of Gozo. The driver knew lots of facts and shared his knowledge with us. Overall cool day and allowed us to learn so much, would recommend to anyone.
Sam was the best driver ever, he was informative and full of laughter couldn’t have asked for someone better and showed us the best spots truly grateful thank you Sam it was a true pleasure
We found this trip very good it just needs to be more organized at transit stations also more info on each attraction
We had an amazing organized trip to Gozo! Everything was well planned, and the island is absolutely beautiful. A special thank you goes to our guide, George, who was fantastic throughout the entire tour. He was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and made the experience both interesting and enjoyable. George did an excellent job keeping the group engaged and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Thanks to him, our visit to Gozo was truly memorable. Highly recommended!
Would do it on my own next time. Bus driver at end rude. Took 1 and a half hrs by bus home and were supposed to drop and pick up in Valetta????!!!
This Buggy Tour was the best tour I’ve ever been on. Our driver/guide was awesome. He showed us places that other drivers did not go to. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I recommend this tour highly.
Absolutely fantastic excursion ! Was amazed by the level of professionalism organization and attention to detail, absolute stress free experience, my guide Cliona was especially informative with a ton of local information and attended to our every need, I highly recommend this excursion, and the lunch was delicious with a very cute and friendly dog that was around during lunch time. Well done guys 5 stars all the way.
Great experience- -excellent guide. We were picked up at 8:00 and back about 19;30. The Buggy trip on Gozo was great fun and the guide Michelle was fantastic. The journey back was a pain as we hit heavy traffic back on Malta which meant we were at a standstill for about an hour. Probably would save time if you made your own way to the ferry and back - but it would add cost.
Easily the best tour we did when in Malta. Well organized small group adventure with our guide, the force of nature, Rowena! She was engaging, knowledgeable and funny. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent in her company and had the opportunity to see much the island had to offer. Take some cash as some admissions require it, plenty of comfort breaks are included in the itinerary and no hard sell stops! The boat transfers were also a great added bonus. Recommended.
Trip was amazing! Magda was great guide and told us many interesting things!
This was a brilliant tour and well worth the price we paid to go! Michelle our guide was bubbly, friendly and most of all knowledgeable. The buggy was super fun and as an anxious passenger usually I felt super safe! It was a fabulous way to see the islands & brilliantly organised! I also had some lovely conversations with another driver too (Alex) and he was fun & we had an interesting chat about dialect. One of my favourite aspects was that at each stop had places to buy water & use a bathroom, plus an alternative activity that was recommended if there was a paid attraction you may not want to do. This was fast paced but well plotted tour!
Very good tour, cover main points and is a complete experience. Rowene is a very nie person!
We have waited where we were supposed to be waiting, but nobody came to pick us up.
Our guide “Perry” made our tour… he was knowledgeable and fun. Gozo is a lovely Island.. not to be missed. We saw so much in one day.
Honestly felt like this was a waste of money. You sit in a buggy in the heat all day and then get out for 20 minutes at a time to see a random church, a random bay, etc. Our tour guide didn’t talk much or tell us the history of the island. Lunch wasn’t great either, wine was served warm and in a pitcher, food was just some rice and random pasta and salad. We felt very rushed by our guide. And then when we finally got to something interesting, the salt pans, our guide didn’t let us get out to take photos. All in all, we wouldn’t recommend this tour at all.
