Cynthia took my husband and I on a diverse and informative tour of the southern part of Malta. We opted out of the optional boat trip to the Blue Grotto but the views from above were amazing! The highlight for us was the Hagar Qim Temples explained in the perfect amount of detail. We completed our tour with another viewpoint we were unaware of and some time at the Marsaxlokk fishing village. Would highly recommend Cynthia for any private tour of Malta.

Itinerary
First, we start off by visiting the picturesque village of Marsaxlokk, in the south-east of Malta. This is a very small village renowned for its fishing community. It offers peaceful walks and nice cafes along the water strip. If we go on a Sunday then we will be enjoying its typical markets with food and fish stalls, clothing wares and various other nick-nacks.
Żurrieq is also famous for the beach in Wied iż-Żurrieq and the Blue Grotto which will be our next stop. If you love the sea, then you will surely fall in love with the cool blue waters of Zurrieq. Here you will have the option to take a boat ride and have a closer look at the beauty of the Maltese coast. During summer, you can take a refreshing dip in the sea and lunch in one of the restaurants serving typical Mediterranean cuisine.
Our last destination will be at the site of two of the most famous Megalithic Temples of Malta, Hagar Qim and Mnajdra in Qrendi dating 3600-3200 BC. These two temples are among the most ancient religious sites on Earth and are described by the World Heritage Sites committee as architectural masterpieces.

Enjoyed seeing parts of Malta outside of Valletta. Our guide Cynthia was very nice and shared so much interesting information with us. The boat ride at the caves is a must during the tour and the ruins at Hagar Qim were amazing to see.
Cynthia provided excellent commentary about her beloved Malta—including prehistory ruins, historical information, cultural traditions and so much more — all while driving us safely to beautiful locations! This was a great tour and we would ask Cynthia to be our guide any and every time we are on Malta.
We have been lucky with our guide Cynthia - she was excellent, and her husband as driver toom. I recommend this Tour !!!
We had a wonderful tour with Cynthia and her husband George. Cynthia is a certified guide and George an amazing driver with much knowledge of his own. Both speak excellent English. They were very flexible about planning around our interests and very helpful since I have a bad ankle and therefore some mobility issues. Their Mercedes van was very comfortable and can seat 6 passengers though probably more comfortable for 4. They mentioned that they have a larger van as well. The countryside and views were amazing, though the sea was too rough to take the boat trip at the Blue Grotto. The temples at Hajar Qim and Mnajdra were mind-blowing and Cynthia’s knowledge and explanations much appreciated. We are not generally tour people but this was a great way to get around with a terrific guide and without having to deal with a group tour. George and Cynthia were happy to drop us at a specific location (not our hotel) at the end and to give us advice about where to go from there. We have already recommended them highly to friends who will be visiting Malta this spring.
For $487, this half-day tour was a complete disappointment. Literally nothing is included—not even a boat ride or a bottle of water. We were just three people visiting a few spots in South Malta. You could easily use Bolt to visit the same locations at a fraction of the price. Other excursions, which include food, drinks, and admission fees, offer much better value for far less. We had been warned about locals overcharging for services, and this tour was the perfect example. Unless the price is drastically reduced, I cannot recommend it.
Our guide was perfect. She educated us along the way. She was always waiting for us at the right place and the right time when she dropped us off. It was a lovely half day of exploration. Highly recommend this booking.
Tour guide(can't remember her name) was awesome! She was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and a safe driver. Having a private tour is the way to go!!
We had an excellent tour guide. Loved the Blue Grotto and the cathedral in Malta. Learning the history of Malta was fascinating.
Cynthia was great-from coordinating the pickup to being a source of interesting facts about all of Valletta. She was flexible in our schedule as we had no interest in going to the grotto. I would highly recommend a tour with her. She’s very personable & makes all parts of the tour interesting!
What a lovely experience! I highly recommend this tour. Cynthia was our guide and she was extremely knowledgeable about everything Malta. Her communication was fantastic with emails and very quick responses. Having a private guide to take you around is the best way to see things and makes visits stress free rather than large tourists groups. Cynthia was a very welcoming tour guide and had us back on the ship within plenty of time.
Cynthia is excellent guide. She did a wonderful job accommodating my husband who has mobility issues. She made sure that we saw all the highlights of Malta with a limited amount of walking. She was very informative and shared her knowledge of the historical sights as well her local insights about the Island. We loved Malta and hope to come back. Highly recommend this tour as a great way to see a lot in a short time.
Cynthia was an excellent tour guide. She showed us different parts of Malta, including Marsaxlokk which we saw this very cute fishing town with a shopping market, the blue grotto by boat and land, Hagar Qim and Mnajdra Temples which she had so much knowledge about and really made the temples comes to life, Ghar Lapsi for a beautiful swim. She also took us through different towns to show us the architecture and life. Overall, best experience!! We really got to experience so much of Malta in just a couple of hours. Highly recommend this tour!
The most memorable parts were the spectacular blue grotto and its rich prehistory. Our tour guide Cynthia was very knowledgeable and friendly. We very enjoyed our time with her.
We had a great day with Cynthia and George. We were whisked around their beautiful island. Their timing was impeccable, getting us from step to step with no waiting and giving such a wonderful overview of the island. It was a perfect day.
Cynthia was a wonderful tour guide. She was very accommodating, I messaged her the day before the tour to customize it and she had no issues changing it up. Mdina, the silent city, the Blue Grotto with the boat tour, and the driving tour of the city were all great. Especially for cruisers. An excellent way to see highlights and learn history.
Cynthia was our AWESOME guide for our half day trip to Malta! She is a native and was very happy to share all her knowledge!! We plan on going back to Malta next year and will definitely book another excursion!!
Perfect day on our own with Cynthia! Nothing like exploring the island with a local that, as an added bonus is a history major. She even took us to a local blue swimming hole to cool off. Half day was enough to see the main sights and then walk on own through the shops and sights nearby port. We feel like we spent the day with an old friend. Highly recommend!
The perfect private tour. Don’t miss this excursion! Cynthia is very knowledgeable of her homeland and it’s history. A great driver. I saw everything I planned. Never rushed. Thank you!
The tour guide was excellent. The bus was comfortable. No water was offered on the bus. It was warm outside. The dancing was cute. However the food was not only cold but prepared before we arrived and piled on the plate. Yougurt running into the coleslaw that was running into the rice and meat.
What a fantastic tour that was! George was an excellent guide. He used the half-day to take me to the popular and scenic sites in all of Malta. I never felt rushed and the manner he conducted the tour was great. He was informative and even gave me recommendations on where to dine in Valletta. I was so impressed by him that I had him come back the following day, early in the morning to take me to the start line of the marathon I signed up for. The exact location of the start was a bit confusing but he managed to find the way with time to spare. I would highly recommend booking a tour with George!
Cynthia, the guide was great! Very welcoming and accommodating. I loved the Blue grotto and the fishermen village..it's a nice tour
What a fabulous tour we had with Cynthia! We were a group of three ladies, one with limited mobility. Cynthia wanted to be sure everyone was having a great time. We visited the Village of Marsaxlokk Bay, Zurrieq, the Blue Grotto, and the amazing Dingli Cliffs. A highlight of the day was the warm pastizzi that Cynthia got us to snack on during our tour. What a treat! Cynthia made our short time in Malta a memorable visit that we will never forget.
If you want to experience a personalized tour then this is for you! You Definitely get your money's worth! Cynthia was very accommodating in changing my pickup location. She made me feel so comfortable and welcome during my short time in Malta. Definitely a five star tour!
Excellent guide was very helpful and full of good information. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and to retrieve the mask and snorkel my husband left on the beach.
Malta was a wonderful experience. Our favorite part was meeting the Maltese Falcon, and going into the Blue Grotto. Cynthia was a great guide, we were very happy with our excursion!
History or sightseeing, this trip has it all. Temples, towers, windmills, caves, and water. Cynthia was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable, and you can tell she loves Malta. The conversation and commentary never lagged. At each stop someone was ready to add to my experience. I highly recommend this tour.
We spent a fabulous half day tour with Cynthia. She was a careful driver with whom we felt comfortable. She explained the history of places as we travelled around the south of Malta. At each stop she made sure we knew where to go, took photos and was very considerate of us , making sure we enjoyed each experience. I highly recommend this tour and sincerely thank Cynthia for an interesting and informative time.
I can't rate this tour highly enough! Cynthia and George were incredible guides and made sure we had an excellent experience. The tour itself was a mix of top sites and personal insights in to Maltese culture. They answered all of our questions and did not make us feel rushed. Fantastic value for the price and a perfect introduction to beautiful Malta.
I had booked this tour super last minute and I was half expecting it to be cancelled due to how last minute it was. To my delight and surprise, I woke up with a message from Cynthia informing me that she will be picking me up from my hotel. This was one of the best tours I've done, Cynthia was so friendly, kind and a fantastic driver. She took me to some of the picturesque "touristy" spots, which were not super busy due to me traveling in January. What I really liked was that she gave me as much time as I wanted to spend at each location so I could explore at my leisure. I didn't feel rushed or pressured for time whatsoever, which you won't get with a larger tour. She dropped me off at the airport as I had to catch my flight, which was a huge bonus as I didn't rent a car during my trip. We even stopped for coffee at one of the spots, and she took me to her favourite food stand for a quick bite before dropping me off. I highly recommend this tour, or any tour offered by Cynthia and her husband. 10/10
I spent an absolutely wonderful day visiting Malta. As a local, Cynthia, knew exactly where to go and the best time to be there. We went to the Marsaxlokk Fishing Village, the Hagar Qim temples, the Blue Lagoon, I swam in the Mediterranean with the locals and I even got to hold a real falcon on Malta, a Maltese Falcon. While driving to the various sites, Cynthia would explain the highlights of what I was about to see or do. Then she would walk with me to the entrance, and from there I would set out to explore the different locations on my own. It was so reassuring for me to be able to check out the different sites knowing my guide and ride would be waiting for me when I was finished. Touring Malta with Cynthia is 1000 times better than seeing the island from a large motor coach. Definitely a 5 Star experience, if you have the opportunity to book this tour, you should.
My husband and i had the most incredible full day around Malta with Cynthia and her husband George. Cynthia and George were very knowledgeable about Malta and its history and what is happening in Malta today. They were very obliging, patient, helpful, considerate and above all else wonderful and decent people. George is an exceptional driver...very important when travelling around the island. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them to ensure we had the greatest experience. We absolutely loved our day with them and cannot recommend them highly enough.
Cynthia and her husband George are fantastic hosts. Such an enjoyable half day tour They are knowledgeable and took us all over their beautiful island home of Malta. We only had a short time on Malta and they made every minute count for us in making the visit so very memorable. Thank you Cynthia and George !!
