A beautiful old house transformed to a cute hotel at the center of Valletta near food and drink spots. The room was spacious, with a large bed and a renovated small kitchen with supplies, water and a coffee machine. There is a terrace where you can have a great view of the sea. Maria, the hostess, is very polite, open hearted and always available to help! We enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic location and hotel! We really enjoyed our stay and the staff is very kind, friendly and professional! The surrounding area is super, with very good restaurants, quick and easy access to the ferries and the bus stations. Thank you for your hospitality!
Lovely inexpensive hotel in an old characterful house. Great central location. Clean. Comfy bed. Good to have minikitchen with fridge. Friendly staff. Roof terrace has an amazing view over the harbour.
We were absolutely delighted to find Paulos Valletta for our weekend escape in Malta; it exceeded all our expectations! The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of everything, with shops, restaurants, and attractions just a short walk away. No need for a car, which made our trip stress-free and convenient. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with modern comforts like comfy beds, a well-stocked minibar, decent Wi-Fi, and even a balcony with nice views. Breakfast was very nice—plenty of fresh options including local specialties, fruits, pastries, eggs cooked to order, and excellent coffee. It set us up perfectly for the day. The staff truly made our stay special. From check-in, they were warm, attentive, and super helpful, sharing insider tips on the best spots to visit, hidden gems nearby, and even the ideal times to avoid crowds. Their genuine hospitality felt like staying with friends! Great value for money, clean facilities, and that prime location make this place our top pick for Valletta. We’ll definitely be back and recommend it to everyone planning a relaxing getaway.
I recently stayed at here and want to start by clarifying that this is not a standard hotel. It operates more like a high-quality Airbnb, but with the nice addition of a provided breakfast. Keeping this in mind will help set the right expectations. The Highlights: · Breakfast & Staff: The included breakfast was basic but good and adequate. A very nice touch was that they cook eggs on demand to your request. The staff are genuinely wonderful, friendly and kind. On our last day, as we had to leave very early for a ferry to Sicily, they thoughtfully prepared a packed breakfast for us, which we really appreciated. And when we arrived, one of the staff helped us with our luggages as there’s no lift to level. Even if you staying on any floor, you’ll need to go up one short flight of stairs to get to the lift. · Accommodation & Authenticity: The room itself was comfortable and quite spacious. Staying here offers an authentic taste of how locals might live in a traditional Valletta building, which is a unique experience compared to a standard hotel. Points to Consider (Room 102 Specific): We stayed in Room 102. While comfortable, future guests should be aware of a couple of things, especially if booking this specific room: 1. Very Small Shower: The shower is quite compact. I am about 165 cm (5'5") and found it tight. Anyone taller or of a larger build might find it uncomfortable and may want to request a different room with a larger shower. 2. Heating & Hot Water: During our cooler stay, we noticed two things. First, the water heater can be slow, so you may need to let the tap run for a bit for hot water to arrive. Second, because the room is large with only one air-conditioning/heating unit, it can feel relatively cold in the winter. Extra layers might be needed. Overall: This is a charming, character-filled place with lovely staff. The minor inconveniences were far outweighed by the hospitality and authentic experience. I believe it would be a perfect stay during warmer weather. For a winter visit, just pack accordingly and perhaps inquire about room specifics regarding shower size and heating. Who Should Stay Here: Travelers seeking an authentic, guesthouse/B&B experience with personal touches, who don't mind some characterful quirks. Who Might Want to Look Elsewhere: Those expecting full hotel amenities, consistent instant hot water, or who are particularly sensitive to cooler rooms in winter.
