We had an excellent day with Howard and this walking tour of the Hanging Bridges. The scenery was magnificent and the views were breathtaking. The trail is relatively easy and Howard makes it fun and interesting. Stopping for a refreshment in the small town at the end of the hike was a great way to end the day! Thank you, Howard!

Itinerary
We will stop for a coffee before our walk in the Charming Village of Losa de Obispo
We begin our adventure in the dramatic canyon of the River Turia, with its towering sandstone cliffs—a popular spot for climbers. We’ll cross not one, but two impressive hanging bridges suspended over the river, offering thrilling views below. At the top of the canyon, we’ll pause for a scenic picnic lunch, overlooking the rugged landscape. Next, we follow a 4WD track through olive groves, with sweeping views of the striking turquoise reservoir, a peaceful contrast to the dramatic canyon below. For the final section, we venture along a dry riverbed, gradually climbing to a ridge where the landscape transforms once again. Here, you'll gaze over a volcanically formed ravine, a completely different geological world, and enjoy spectacular views of the whitewashed village of Chulilla perched in the distance. This route offers an unforgettable mix of canyons, cliffs, water, and wide-open views—a perfect choice for lovers of nature, geology, and adventure.
After the circular walk, we will explore the back streets of the white town of Chulilla before having a refreshing post walk drink in the main square Plaza Baronia before returning to Valencia

Great hiking day with unforgettable views of the canyon. Howard, our guide, made this hiking day easy and made our group feel at ease. He has a great knowledge of the area and of the country overall. A superb day in an outstanding location. Highly recommended for those who love nature and dramatic landscape. Thank you Howard for this fabulous experience.
This was a great experience! The hike is challenging but very doable - and well worth it! April was the perfect time to do this.
Great walk Enjoyed the hike in the countryside Felt good to be around nature and so peaceful. At times you couldn't hear anything
If you get a chance to get on this tour then don't hesitate to book a place. Howard is a great guide and makes everyone feel comfortable and welcome, he has lots of knowledge about the local area and the walk he took us on. The walk takes you through some amazing scenery with views you will never forget.. thoroughly enjoyed our day walking around Chulilia and look forward to coming back to the area for more hikes.
Howard is a fine, pleasant and knowledgeable guy and we enjoyed our tour very much. Our kids, 8&10yrs, kept pace without a problem although the whole tour is 15km. April is ideal for it isn't too hot.
Great hiking day out. Howard was knowledgeable about the area, and also had sun screen for those who forgot to bring some on this the hottest day of the year so far. After cultural tours, it was nice to have a walking one to stretch my legs, even if parts of it was under direct sunshine.
Not what I expected. The tour I requested was in Spanish and we had a guide in English. Second, the guide was not very knowledgeable on the vegetation of the region. Howard was not very attentive to the needs of the other guest. The guide should be more knowledgeable about the area, and the places to walk in a safe matter, and notify us that there are no 🚾 services in the pathway, to bring toilet paper, trash bags and be prepared to go on a bush, to bring disinfect wipes. Unfortunately, Howard was not a very good guide. The walk was good, and beautiful scenery, would of like to know more about the vegetation and animals of the region. In the pictures it showed a waterfall which we did not see.
Had a fantastic time on the chulilla tour. For two people who are fit but don't do a huge amount of hiking it was the perfect distance. Howard was a great guide and we really enjoyed ourselves. Would strongly recommend to anyone staying in Valencia for more than a few days!
Great trip with really beautiful views! Amazing expirience. Howard is perfect guide. He is very nice and You can speak with him about everything. I really reccomend this trip, connection of breathtaking vievs and little sport.
Lovely hike and weather turned out better than expected. Stunning views. Howard was very knowledgeable and good company. Would highly recommend.
Howard’s hikes are a lot of fun. You can choose light/medium routes, so you feel comfortable mastering it. He takes max.8 people in his minibus per hike, everyone feels welcome. Groups are international, so you might learn some Spanish on the way. Hikes start with a coffee stop in beautiful villages, own lunch on the peak and a relaxing drink afterwards. Excellent experience every time!
My wife and I did 2 walking tours with Howard. Both were excellent and it would be impossible to pick a favourite between this walk and the Roman aqueduct walk. Howard is a great guide - full of information and has a wonderful sense of humour! Any one of Howard's tours would be highly recommended if you are in Valencia.
Chulilla Village and Canyon de Turia will amaze you. Howard will guide you through the most beautiful trails in this area. With the private tour, you can tailor it. He’s very knowledgeable and is great company. The hike is very gentle. Half of it is paved. It lasts about 3-4 hours with stops for photos and lunch. If you love cats there is a very friendly colony of 7 cats and kittens in Chulilla Village. Bring treats or a can of cat food to greet them at the end of the trail.
Absolutely loved this excursion. The route was one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen, quite flat and easy to walk and so peaceful and relaxing. Howard was very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to get on with. If you’re lucky, like me, you might even see a mountain goat at close range and get to watch it hopping over the cliffs. I’d highly recommend this excursion and will definitely book more excursions with Howard.
Howard took 2 of us on a guided hike to Chulilla and it was a highlight of the trip! Arranging pick up from the city centre was really easy and he had great facts and stories about Valencia, as well as being really knowledgable about the Chulilla area too. The hike was stunning and was great to be able to see some more of Valencia outdoors. Howard is really friendly and made the trip super fun, i would really recommend!
Great walk with a knowledgeable your guide. Good walking route with stunning scenery not far from Valencia. Highly recommended.
Really enjoyed the walking tour. Incredible views. Friendly atmosphere with a good group of people all respecting distancing rules. Howard did a really nice job of making sure everyone felt safe and welcome. Would highly recommend as a fun day out.
Our second hike with Excursiones de Valencia, this time lead by Howard. What a great day - beautiful weather and panoramic views. Not an up and down hike, but various levels of undulation. It was a great group of people with Howard as an excellent leader who made sure that everyone in the group enjoyed the day. Stopped for lunch at a lovely picnic spot. On the restart I left my camera behind. fortunately I realised before we had been walking very far, but it meant I had an extra hill to everyone else. Thank you to the group for waiting for me - Margaret has not mentioned it again! Look forward to walking with Howard again when we next return to Valencia.
It is a nice adventure, but you must carry water, and at the end of the bridges you will find landscape and great places, if you like nature you can not miss this visit
What a beautiful walk through the beautiful nature. The suspension bridges were a bit disappointing, but the walk certainly wasn't! The organization was great, because even though there were two of us it went on as usual. Fine guide who took us into account. Overall a super nice experience
A beautiful route and once again, Howard shows how well he knows Valencia. A super entertaining, multicultural and very interesting day.
