Fantastic time with this activity. Chef William and Chef Marco were both so knowledgeable and also funny and personable. The interactive nature of the class made the time fly by and we loved getting the recipes to bring home with us.

Itinerary
Do you want to discover the most traditional recipes of Spanish and Valencian cuisine? If the answer is yes, come enjoy this experience. The day does not begin in the kitchen.... but rather visiting the neighborhood market, Mercado Algirós, where we acquire the best and freshest Mediterranean ingredients that are part of our culinary culture. (The visit to the market will only be for morning groups) Once you have touched the base of Valencian gastronomic culture with the essence of the neighbor, it is time to continue with our Paella workshop. You will make a traditional menu with Valencian paella as the main dish, potato omelette and coca en llanda with merengada milk ice cream, a typical Valencian dessert. Meanwhile, you enjoy local wines from one of the best-known wineries in the area. Lastly, and most importantly, now it's time to eat! Enjoy the food and share your experience with the chef, toasting with wine and sangria! When finished, the chefs will give you a personalized and newly printed diploma with your group photo along with the recipe for Valencian paella to cook at home. The workshop will be held in English.

Was great fun making traditional paella and informative on the history and relevance to the culture. Very friendly staff and tasted amazing (probs cause I helped cook).
A fun 2.5hr experience good for families. They provided drinks and snacks to nibble before food was done cooking. Roberto was passionate and gave detailed instructions. There was some hands-on cooking but we mostly watched the chefs.
This was the most fun ever! Loved our chefs. Loved the experience of helping to make paella. And in the end it tasted fantastic! I would highly recommend!
Super fun experience to have with friends and family. There were 4 tables of 8 at the Valencia Culinary Cocina and everyone got a chance to contribute to cooking the meal. The chefs are engaging and explained every step of the process and the meal and wine were excellent and plentiful. Highly recommend!
A fun couple of hours where I really learnt how to make a Spanish omelette, local paella and desert cake. Roberto was a fun chef that really explained each element. Really worth the time. Excellent experience
This was an absolutely brilliant experience- we not only learned the history of Paella and how to properly prepare it, we shared the time with people from five other countries. We also learned how to cook traditional Spanish omelette and sponge cake for dessert. Pair those with wine and Sangria and it’s as good as it gets!
Good fun, relaxed atmosphere, learnt a lot and tasted some excellent food. Came away with recipes too!
Fantastic day . Highly recommend
Came to this class to learn how to make paella, which we did, and it was a great experience, but my favorite thing was learning how to make a Valencia “cocoa,” which is cake. Very simple recipe that is very versatile and very delicious. We also learned how to make a tortilla Española. Well worth it. Wonderful experience.
This was a wonderful class and a truly authentic local experience! We had a great time and would do again. Our instructor lead us on a trip to the market explaining how the ingredients for the Spanish tortilla and the paella were sourced. Even though our cooking groups were strangers when we met we bonded over the shared experience.
This was a great experience with Arturo who provided hands on learning with a fun sense of humor. We enjoyed learning how paella is made in Valencia with a tasty meal afterwards. Definitely recommend this! It is about 2 1/2 hours of your time and well worth the $75 per person
WOW‼️ this cooking class was so much fun and our food tasted delicious. The “Chef” was a delight, he went between Spanish and English seamlessly so we all could understand the process. Us 4 american’s LOVED our experience we would for sure recommend this cooking class.
Group of 10 at a large table. Nice clean well equipped kitchen. Started with a few snacks and water/sangria. The chef was excellent and funny. He explained the 3 things we would be cooking (tortilla, chicken/rabbit paella and cake) particularly the different types of paella and what you could add versus not. He explained preparing things (hands on) as well particularly how to cook the paella and the pitfalls of not doing so.
Wonderful class. I learned a lot. Guillermo was an excellent teacher and very personable and fun. We had a lovely group of eight which was the perfect size.
So much fun — the chef and team were the best. The kitchen experience and learning more about the place paella was born Valencia was beyond expectations. Highly recommend— you will leave full and with new friends
I went on a group tour and had the pleasure of learning to cook Paella, Spanish Omelet, and a lovely cake with our group of 9 people including kids from 10-16 years of age. This was one of the highlights of our trip! We started with sangria and tapas and enjoyed this wonderful dinner that we all helped make together. Highly recommended!
A true paella cooking class. It was fun leaning how to make traditional and authentic Valencian dishes. Chef made it a great experience.
We didn't know what to expect when we booked thia tour, but we had so much fun and learned alot about cooking! The chef and sommelier were fantastic and funny, and were very skilled in getting everyone involved, including a couple of kids that were in the group. We prepared the vegetables, added ingredients and spices to the paella, made a cake, and even flipped the pan with the tortilla (egg and potato omelet)!
This was an enjoyable, informative & delicious experience. Our visit was on a Sunday, so the market was closed, so we made the paella, Spanish tortilla & a cake! It was really interesting to learn about the process of making paella & the different variations. This was an incredible meal & large lunch. We left full & happy!
Class was very fun and inviting. Chefs were very encouraging and helpful. Would recommend while in Valencia.
Fantastic fun. Informative and yummy! I went with my 14 year old daughter and we had a wonderful time together.
Excellent experience, totally worth it, the meal is superb and the chef is nice and funny. 10/10 would do it again.
Wonderful class and so fun. Zaher was entertaining and a great teacher. Food was delicious. An enjoyable event. So glad we took the class.
When you come to Valencia do not miss the opportunity to join in this cooking class. Our host had such a great personality, did a great job showing and explaining how to make a great paella. So delicious, everything. I loved the sponge cake as well. Great hosts and a wonderful time
Great night cooking some traditional dishes, sipping some drinks and sharing stories with our intimate group. Will definitely try and make the cocha we made when I get home.
Wonderful experience! Great instructor and we got to participate in cooking 3 dishes eat it all!!!! Highly recommend.
It is a fun class to take solo or with a group of people. Chef Carlos was very nice and outgoing and made sure all people in the class were participating in the cooking. He gave us background information and was providing step by step on how to prepare the paella. Loved the experience so much would definitely do it again!
This class was so much fun! We had a great time strolling through the market, learning about the fresh ingredients, and getting hands-on experience with the cooking process. The teacher was excellent, making it interactive and engaging. The tortilla, paella, and cake were all delicious! A really nice touch at the end was the group photo with the ingredients—such a great memory. Would definitely recommend this experience!
Brilliant experience! Learnt how to make paella, Spanish tortilla and a traditional cake. Lots of snacks, sangria and wine included too. Thoroughly recommended!
Amazing time helping to prepare a traditional paella and two other dishes. Even better eating it all afterwards!
My wife and I had an absolutely amazing time at the Valencian Paella Workshop and Algiros Market visit! We spent two hours cooking up authentic paella, making a classic Spanish Tortilla, and even baking a simple sweet cake. Honestly, the time flew by—it felt like only 30 minutes! The chef was fantastic, sharing tons of awesome tips and secrets, from picking the freshest ingredients at the market to perfecting our cooking techniques. It was fun, informative, and super delicious. Perfect way to spend a couple of hours together and dive into some amazing Spanish cuisine. Highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking for a fun and tasty experience! Can’t wait to go back!
we had a great time and now remind everyone that paella doesn't have seafood in it :) Though we can't seem to convince our friends otherwise
Very immersive experience. Our chef was friendly and welcoming. We didn’t get the tour of the market as proposed. The paella turned out oily and so so but we’re told that it is the way it is supposed to be.
john was a wonderful teacher… we had a wonderful cooking lesson - we learned to make paella, tortilla espagnola and a delicious cake. it was a fun evening and you won’t me disappointed!
Gave this cooking class as a birthday present. Wonderfull experience with the group and the teacher was super friendly
We passed a great time an an unforgettable experience. Nice cook an good information about valencian Paella and spanish cuisine.
A fun evening, in lovely company from folk around the world, under the guidance of Chef Carlos - ensuring we cooked a tasty 3 course meal. Perfect
The chef was easy going and humourless, and taught in a simple manner with simple tasks offered to all in attendance, while not being mandatory to do. There was plentiful sangria, red and white wine, and food for all! Although we were disappointed that the market was closed, we still considered this a great experience
What a fun way to spend an evening in Valencia. A wonderful international group of fellow travelers all eager to learn. And learn we did. Our chef was engaging and funny and talented. And the fruits of our labor were fantastico! We will happily do this again when we return someday.
Lovely place, we had a nice chat with our group and the hosts made us feel very welcome. The cooking part was super easy, I expected to be a bit more involved, but in the end I really appreciated all three dishes and the dynamics between the hosts and the group. Would definitely recommend + come hungry!
Excellent! We had a great time ! William was fantastic, personable, and the paella was amazing ! We had a super time learning about the culture and making paella! Eating it too ! Highly recommend this experience 🙌
Fantastic hosts really good interactive lesson..great atmosphere well laid out ..Nice sized group delicious food
David and his team were great! Super engaged and informative. Me and my family (who love to cook) learned a lot, but in a fun way— and the food was delicious! This is a must do in València and no better way to learn the about the culture.
It was very fun, informative and delicious! Highly recommend! Our teenagers enjoyed it as much as we did.
In addition to learning how to make true paella, I also learned a lot of new cooking/baking techniques from the chef. We made paella, an omelette appetizer, and a delicious cake. Sangria and wine were included. Highly recommend this workshop.
What a terrific time. Our Chef Pedro was absolutely terrific. He got everyone involved in the experience and helped to create wonderful bonds among the class members who had not met until the class began. We booked this excursion independant of the ships excursion. A short cab ride to the storefront kitchen from the boat. 12 euros for 4 passengers.
Great experience. Would definitely recommend. Learned some great techniques in making paella, Spanish tortilla and a traditional cake.
Excellent thing to do in València. We really enjoyed this. Made paella, Spanish omelette, and sponge cake…. Nibbles on the table whilst you’re cooking, along with unlimited wine and sangria! We went in the evening, which I believe is the reason we didn’t do the market? As I assume it would’ve been closed? The host/chef was brilliant, very accommodating. We even got a copy of the recipe! We have been back home two days and have already made the omelette!
This was such an incredible experience and the food was delicious! We loved starting off with the market tour. We then made different dishes and the paella and it was all so incredibly tasty. Everyone was so attentive and lovely! Would 100% want to do it again and highly recommend
