Our tour was scheduled to start at 11 am It was a rainy day, but we figured we would Grab an umbrella and be good to go. Walked twenty minutes and arrived to our spot ten minutes early. At 11:15 I texted the tour guide , giving her our location and asking if she had arrived.... Thinking perhaps she been held up by the rain. I can see She read the text, but did not respond. A few minutes later I received an email from the company saying our tour had been canceled. Noting that the tour guide had a personal issue that kept her from arriving. They issued a refund that was going to take five days to hit. And by now we've been out in the rain for almost an hour. I really Wish that the tour guide had reached out prior to us leaving the hotel to let us know she would not be coming. This is a bummer from one of the most highly recommended travel tour options

The tour was good but not great. The guide was polite but didn’t seem particularly passionate or to be enjoying his job. We were on a cruise so did three similar walking tours (another also arranged via With Locals) this one just left us flat. I don’t want to be u kind but it wasn’t great.

The tour was wonderful! We got to see so many hidden places we never would have known about. She was very knowledgeable about the history and the culture! We were able to go at our own pace and see what interested us instead of a generic tour! She even sent us to a delicious restaurant for tapas after the tour.

Marcos introduced his beautiful city of Valencia to our group of six in October. He kindly met us at our hotel and showed us round some of the key sights and streets of the city plus a few lesser-known ones. The tour ran over by 30 minutes as he was so keen that we didn’t miss out on anything. He also texted info to us afterwards about restaurants and local transport that was very helpful. The pace of the tour was perfect and the history and knowledge he shared was pitch perfect - giving context, interest and colour to everywhere we visited. His English was excellent so we never struggled to understand. Marcos has such warmth and passion for Valencia that we also fell a little in love with the city. We couldn’t have wished for a better guide.
Given the great reviews for this tour, we were very excited to tour Valencia. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations, which was unusual as Viator reviews for many other tours we have done in the past have always hit the mark. Valentin was our tour guide. While he was knowledgeable about what we saw, he was very softspoken and our group of four people (60-65 years old) had a difficult time hearing him. The pace of the tour was also very slow. We wanted to see more of Valencia, including the amazing architecture in the City of Arts and Sciences (shown in the pictures depicting this tour), but it wasn't included in our tour. Overall, this was the first disappointing experience we've had booking through Viator.
Our tour guide canceled but never let us know until we called her. We were waiting at the meeting spot for fifteen minutes when we decided to call to find out she wasn’t coming. We later received an email (2 hours later) from the tour company saying the tour was canceled.
Daniel (Danny) Blackwell was our tour guide and he was terrific! Very engaging, funny, knowledgeable, and worth every penny! Definitely recommend this tour to get a general orientation of Valencia!
Valentin has lived in Valencia his whole life, so it was great hearing stories about the city from a true local. We did this tour on day 1, which helped having a basic rundown of "what and where" about the city. It was only 2 hours, so not too hard and the walk was easy, even though it was quite hot. We loved the local drink, Horchata that we tried at a famous cafe that Valentin knew about. And we tried it the local way... with a long fresh, light sweet bun to dip into it.

We were meant to get a 3hr walking tour but only got 2hrs.. We met other people at our hotel and they seem to have a much better tour with another company We’ve booked another tour with Viator in September to Budapest but having second thoughts
Josephine greeted me in a relaxed fashion and wanted to understand what I wanted to get out of the tour. She absolutely personalized the tour for me and we focused on history and some of the cultures that influenced Valencia’s evolution. We also decided to add in a tour of the Musea Ceramica which is a lot more than a ceramic museum and is a must see (it really speaks to the opulent wealth experienced by some in Valencia’s past. She also noted the Roman Ruins given my interest in history and dropped me there so that I could visit at the conclusion of my tour (also a must see…like visiting Pompeii in an hour). Josephine is one of the absolute best tour guides I’ve ever had and I’ve had many private tours!
