The Metropolitan Cathedral–Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady of Valencia, alternatively known as Saint Mary's Cathedral or Valencia Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic parish church in Valencia.
A perfect spot to contemplate the baroque facade of the Cathedral, as well as the famous Miguelete, a 14th century bell tower that serves as a lookout over the city.
The church of Santa Catalina, one of the 10 founding parishes of the city, offers incredible views from the top of its tower, which is considered a jewel of the Baroque period.
It is striking to see such spectacular and expressive gargoyles on 15th century Wall Street, as if they continue to send an ancient message, and yet so fashionable... I guess, despite the passage of time, people are still the same. The now-visitable monument offers an unparalleled version of 15th century life.
The central market is located in an ancient trading area, as it is on the same spot where the Arab souk of ancient Balansiya once stood. Today, the almost 8000m2 of commercial space is one of the largest covered markets in Europe.
The second tower that remained standing after the wall was demolished in 1865. It was used as a prison while the wall was being demolished, which is why it is still standing. Today you can still see the cannon marks left by the various wars in its wake.
Gothic in style, it is considered to be the main entrance to the city. This was the main entrance for kings and ambassadors.
This tour was one of the worst experiences we've ever had while traveling. The tour guide supplied by this vendor made multiple crass, sexual jokes that made the entire experience uncomfortable, including one about his grandmother discovering him masturbating. The vendor refused to provide a refund after we complained following the tour.
Great experience . We hired bikes for the family and spent a few hours cycling down towards the sea. The team in the main office at c/de l'Herba 4 were friendly, welcoming and happily helped us plan our route. We felt they were more than just a ‘bike hire’ venue…they cared about their customers. Then, the next day we booked a private cycling/e-scooter tour of the old city / urban art with David for a couple of hours. David targeted his tour at our age a group, not making it overly historical but ensuring it was fun. He uniquely covered topics no other guide in my experience has ever spoken about (yes, really) - which made for a hugely enjoyable time. We certainly got to know the city a little better.
This is a great way to see the city. Valencia has great bike paths. David was our tour guide and he is a native of Valencia. Therefore he had very interesting stories from personal experience. Our teenage children really enjoyed him as did we.
We did a Segway tour. Our guide Santiago was amazing. Half out group had never ridden a Segway before, so he helped us quickly learn. Then he took us on a tour of old Valencia. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared the information in a very accessible and interesting way. He was able to answer all our questions. Another employee Christina joined our group and took pictures of us in front of different places. We could have easily spent more time with Santiago and Christina -- we had an amazing time. I highly recommend this tour!

A brilliant tour of the historic city lead by the witty and knowledgeable David. The tour took in historical buildings, religious buildings and local street art. David clearly knew his stuff and brought everything to life with his vivid descriptions.

As soon as I got to Valencia, I was recommended the Private tour of the Old City, and I can see why! Starting in Placa de la Virgen, it covers the whole historic centre of Valencia, including historic places like Placa de la Reina, Towers of Serrano, Silk exchange, Mercado Central, Placa Redonada and the Cathedral, all explained perfectly by the tour guide whose name is David. He never bores you with useless dates and he is also able to joke occasionally to make the tour more entertaining than it already is, and occasionally distributes bottles of water during the tour. The bikes are very high quality, no one got a punctured wheel and no one had problems with the gears or the breaks. 10/10 recommended.

David Gomez was an excellent tour guide. A native Valencian, David shared a thorough history of the city and of the strong character and influence of the city’s residents over 2000 years as the city grew and evolved. David shared stories that made the history very interesting and accessible (no saturation of boring dates and facts). The city bike tour was so enjoyable that we went with David a 2nd day on a bike tour to the Albufera. It was an exceptional experience and again David shared the important history of the fight to preserve this beautiful natural wonderland. David was very considerate of the pace, safety and comfort of both rides. Bikes were reliable, well-maintained and sturdy for 2-days of riding. David gets much credit for helping us get to know the beautiful city of Valencia and it environs in the short 2-1/2 days that we were there. We took the 2-hour option to do the Old City Tour, and like 5 minutes later we were done…it was that good thanks our humorous and very knowledgeable guide, David, who in turn was ably abetted by Patricia, his very pleasant trainee. The tour covered everything we hoped to see, with unexpected nuggets along the way. The bikes were well maintained and perfect for the task, which isn’t always the case on other city tours. Would happily recommend this bike tour company to anyone wanting to get up close and personal with Valencia’s rich history.

It was an amazing riding, I hired a bike for a whole day and enjoyed a lot. Valencia is designed for bicycles, there's so many bike lanes and parking stands! The bike I hired was in a very good condition, it was light and fast. And I'd like to give special thanks to the friendly staff, who gave me a very useful piece of advice about must-visit sightseeings. And last but least, the prices were very affordable.
It was a lot of fun and I've learnd so much while we were exploring the city together. I would definitely recommend it to everybody!!

We chose an other tour in the city and it was very nice. Almost no one on the streets, very atmospheric. City is old and has pretty interesting story. Thanks to our guide Yuri for positive energy and interesting information about that. And also after we decided to rent bikes for one week. I think we got maximum from our trip. We saw almost everything in that city. Thanks a lot!
When picking up 4 bikes it was indicated that they are more expensive than other bike rental companies because of a much better service. Unfortunately, we had to deal with a flat tire mid-afternoon. Contacted, but they could do nothing for us. That's not really the better service you expect!!

In the morning we did the 2 hour tour, then we rented the bikes until 19:30. The tour, by David, we liked very well. He has a lot of knowledge of the rich history of Valencia and tells it in an entertaining way. The bikes were of good quality and also look nice. We were even all given a bottle of water with the hot weather. The value for money was good, we really enjoyed ourselves and Valencia became even more interesting because of the tour! Suitable and fun for young and old.
