Valencia Guided City Tour

This was a great option if u have a short cruise stop. Amparo was very knowledgeable and friendly. Took us through the old town and shared a lot of history.

It was a very informative tour. We got great ideas for places to go on our own. The tour guide was very knowledgeable.

Ruiz was very knowledgeable and informative. He knew how to get around all the traffic and people walking easily. He was very polite. He gave us great restaurant advice and places to go see.

We enjoyed our walking tour of Valencia’s old town. We learned a lot about the history of the area and had details pointed out we never would have noticed or understood without the guide. The only negative thing was that we were a mixed group of both English and Italian even though we booked an English tour. However the guide did a wonderful job juggling both and making sure both groups got all the information in the language they understood. Would definitely recommend this tour if you’re stopping in Valencia and you’d like to understand more about the local culture and history of the area!

Basic overview of the old town. We signed up for English speaking tour, but half our group spoke Spanish, so guide spoke in Spanish to them, then in English to us, which was ok, but took more time. I thought we would have time to enter the venues, but we didn't go inside any of them. We weren't able to enter the cathedral and see the holy chalice. We did see a couple of things that weren't on the itinerary: the Ceramics Museum and El Micalet Tower. Guide just pointed out the post office from across the square. We ended at the market, instead of the Plaza de L'Ajuntament. Tour was just ok.

The tour itself was fine, but the meeting point instructions were vague. There was only "Meet in Placa Dels Furs." with no mention of how to identify our guide. We arrived 45 minutes early to find approximately 500 people at that location. We sent 2 messages to the tour company, receiving NO reply! We finally located our guide 5 minutes after the tour was to have started. She said "I was over there." They held the tour back waiting for us when they could have simply answered our messages OR phoned us! They had our Spanish phone. Just do better!!

We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. One small point is that sometimes we couldn’t hear her clearly so maybe she needs to have a bigger speaker? Still overall a very good tour would recommend.

This trip was cancelled not even 24hrs before and I rebooked and the same thing happened...no explanation....very disappointed as unable to book elsewhere as already booked up

Really enjoyed our tour! Our guide was Marco (or maybe Marcos) - he was an excellent guide, his English was very good and we learned a lot about the city from him! Would definitely recommend.

The guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the history and life of the city. Saw nooks and crannies would have not seen without the tour or appreciated significance of the various points of interests.

Highly recommend this tour! It runs rain or shine so bring an umbrella is there’s rain in the forecast. Valencia is so interesting and beautiful and our guide really brought it to life!

The guide was pleasant and knowledgeable, our group was small -7 people, but unfortunately there was not as much historical information as I would have like. We did not learn the the background of the buildings we saw-- except for the churchs. Too much emphasis on the Catholic Church and the alleged Holy Grail in the Cathedral. Too bad because I think that aside from the Church and the Roman remains, I think there were many lost opportunities.

For my milestone birthday, I spent a few wonderful days in Valencia with several guests. A special highlight of our stay was the guided tour of the old town with Descubre Valencia. We were already excellently taken care of by Amparo in advance. The preparation of the tour, the advice, and the entire organization were excellent and contributed significantly to everything running perfectly. Our tour guide Ana subsequently led us through the historic old town of Valencia with great competence, enthusiasm, and a lot of charm. The tour was excellently designed and offered a perfect mix of history, culture, and exciting background information. We were particularly impressed by the visit to the beautiful Church of St. Nicolás with its impressive frescoes, as well as the visit to the famous Silk Exchange, La Lonja de la Seda. Thanks to Ana's lively and interesting explanations, the history and significance of these extraordinary places were brought to life for us in a special way. Our guests were also thrilled, and the tour was described by everyone as one of the highlights of our stay in Valencia. For anyone visiting Valencia who wants to not just see the city but really get to know it, we can unreservedly recommend Descubre Valencia and especially Ana. On June 9, a group of friends from different parts of the world took the City Tour of the center of Valencia with Amparo de Discover Valencia. For everyone it was the first time in the city and we were very happy with the experience, The explanations of Amparo were clear and very enjoyable and the pace of the perfect tour, passing through the most striking and important parts of the old town. Booking directly with Marie Antoinette, an Italian from Sassari stationed in Valencia, I was able to have interesting news and goodies about the medieval center of Valencia. The tour of about 3 hours takes place in the major monuments of the city, such as the Cathedral, the Serrano towers, the churches, the two markets Colon and Centrale, the monumental squares with entrance to an unknown wagon depot with huge characters like Viareggio. Cost 20 euros well spent with lots of information and tips about Valencia.

We were a group of Spanish students in an immersion program and we had the best experience with Discover Valencia. From the first contact, the response was very professional and we were able to coordinate everything without delays. We visited the historic center and the city of Arts and Sciences. Both visits were very informative and we thoroughly enjoyed them. They also provided us with advice on the best places to do a Paella Workshop and see Flamenco. Recuerdo a una guia vagamente puesto que no se presentó. El grupo aún no sabe ni su nombre ni su formación. Lamento su nula capacidad para recoger nuestras observaciones sobre habernos enviado a aparcar a 20' a pie y 8 ' en coche. Encontramos a faltar un minimo de comprensión hacia los que vamos al encuentro en coche. Al contrario, ninguna empatía y mal tono. Su guía lo justito para salir del paso un domingo. Una pena.

We did a guided tour of Benimàmet with the travel agency Benimàmet, the guide Vicente terrific, explained the history of this neighborhood of Valencia that became very popular with the arrival of the train , we walked through the linear park and we, explained some murals Artistic, that are painted with the history of Benimàmet, the cave houses, then we saw the modernist Villas of which many very beautiful and well preserved remain , the beautiful Panach Park the Casino Cervantes, the Church San Vicente Martir and the old town . We spent a very nice afternoon. Very nice neighborhood.

For a group of 6 (4 friends and an engaged couple) it was a pleasant walk to discover the historic center of Valencia. Amparo provided us with historical information, but also many curiosities about Valencian reality. Maybe using a microphone would have helped listening, but being few it went well anyway.

My family and I (my husband and daughter) enjoyed a guided educational, professional and historical tour of the city of Valencia.
