We will meet at the door of San Valero Parish. We will go to the Ruzafa market together and we will make the purchase of the fresh products necessary to cook a good paella. While we are making the purchase we will tell you the origin of the paella and customs and culture of the Valencian people. Later we will walk for 8 minutes to reach the kitchen where we will hold a sangria workshop. The chef will be waiting us with some delicious tapas accompanied by sangria, beer, water ... Then our chef will explain step by step the preparation of a seafood paella and once finished we will sit down to taste it. We will accompany the paella with a Valencian tomato salad, Valencia wines, seasonal fruit, typical Valencian sponge cake, sweet wine and coffee.
Richard and his two colleagues were great to cook with. Step by step they were there communicating the details from cutting the garlic to the browning of the meat. In addition, we had two minor items come up on our side and both were resolved quickly.

What an absolutely fantastic seafood paella experience! The paella was delicious, our chef Cristina was wonderful, and our group was simply amazing. We laughed, cooked, shared great food, and had such a memorable time together! After my previous Mallorcan paella experience, this was a wonderful contrast. The entire Michelin team was fantastic, and I genuinely loved the energy, warmth, and camaraderie—especially with Chef Cristina. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough! If you love paella, great food, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere, this is a must-do. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

This was an extraordinary activity. My adult daughter and I were traveling in Spain and looking for fun, out of the ordinary activities, and came upon this class. We loved that it didn't take us to the Central Market, but instead took us to a market more popular among locals. We were running late, and our guides were so hospitable and kind about this. The time flew, as they provided us with delicious tapas and Sangria, plus engaging us in the cooking. I am now home and plan to make paella for my family, knowing I can do it from this tour.
What a brilliant way to spend a morning! A trip to the market where our guides explained the different types of tapas and ingredients for each. Then back to the kitchen (with air con!) for tapas and sangria. We were in groups of 6-7 and cooked paella altogether, everyone participating in chopping and stirring etc. After cooking we got to eat , was really very tasty. The guides were all so much fun and we really did enjoy it. My daughter is coeliac and this was not a problem. EVERYTHING was gluten free except for the cake that was brought out for dessert.
Enjoyable 3 hours with friendly and accommodating cooking teachers. Enjoyed the paella we made. Only improvement i would have liked to see would be to make it more hands on. I wanted to do some cooking and the class prep was mostly done by the instructors. Also would have liked to see the purchase of the products.

A fantastic experience from the visit to the market to the cooking of the paella and then enjoying it. Our chefs were informative, knowledgeable and great fun. We loved this class! Our host Chris was extremely warm and welcoming. Everything we ate - even the paella we made - was better than any other we had on our trip. The class felt relaxed and we all had a good time. We learned so much as well since Chris was happy to answer our many questions. I definitely recommend it!

This was so much fun and so informative. Although the trip through the market was short, we learned a few interesting things about the ingredients that go into making paella. All of the seafood we used was fresh from the market. This is a hands-on experience for the most part although a number of things were prepped in advance. We worked in teams so skill level wasn’t a concern. The chefs were very knowledgeable as well as entertaining. Everything was wonderful from tapas to drinks, paella and dessert. You will not leave here hungry!

This class felt very authentic and came highly recommended to us for a reason. The whole experience was enjoyable, from shopping and learning in the market to learning the how’s and why’s of making each paella. Our instructors were fun to learn from and had a great sense of humor. After finishing the cook we enjoyed our dish and sampled a couple other paellas that were made. I would take this class again on my next trip to Valencia.

Delightful experience with Guillermo and Kris
On February 2nd, I took part in a seafood paella cooking workshop, and it was absolutely fantastic! We first visited the local market to buy the fresh ingredients, and Guillermo told us all about the history behind paella. Afterwards, we went into the kitchen and cooked together while enjoying sangria and some tapas beforehand. It was a wonderful day, and they even surprised me by singing for me with a little cake, as it was also my birthday. It was an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Lots of fun and a great family experience for adults. It was very informative and we will definitely repeat the recipes when we get home.
