Monika was a wonderful tour guide. So kind and knowledgeable the entire ride to the caves... The caves themselves were beautiful and sereen. We had a little free time before and after the caves which was very nice. I would definitely go on a tour with Monika again, she is a very good driver.

What a cool experience! It’s otherworldly in there!! There are no pictures for the majority (understandable, if regrettable), but it has to be seen to be believed anyway. Very cool!
Our guide Monika she is great! She explained everything and very detailed and make sure take care of everyone in the group. The activity was fun too, the people working in the cave cannot speak English but they are very nice.
Had a lovely driver and enjoyed the trip to the San Jose caves - exploring in a boat was great, however for health and safety reasons photos were prohibited until the end of the tour which was disappointing. The experience was also over very quickly - no more than 1hr. Ideally this would be combined with a couple more stops, things to see and do to justify the journey which was closer to a 2hr round trip. Otherwise a lovely experience.
Viator cancelled this the day before due to not having enough people. We had no other option because the Viking experience was full.
Need to be able to climb in and out of unsteady boat. Must not be claustrophobic. Be able to watch for hidden obstacles in the dark ceilings.
Lovely experience to do with a partner seeing the cave was beautiful a great romantic thing to do with your partner
We had a wonderful experience visiting the San José Caves! Monika was an excellent guide — friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the place. She made the tour interesting and enjoyable, sharing fascinating information along the way. The caves themselves are absolutely beautiful and well worth visiting. Highly recommended, especially with Monika as your guide!
Very interesting. Our guide Anise provided so much information about the caves and the city of Valencia.
Omg this was just so nice :) The tour operator explained a lot of details which were so interesting and there was a surprise music and lights show INSIDE THE CAVES WHILE ON A BOAT INSIDE A MOUNTAIN! and it was coldplay! honestly worth it, something special and unique :D
It was a unique experience we wouldn't have had without Trip Advisor since it was out of the city.
Communication poor failed to pick us up failed to refund the worst part of this experience is the pickup point is a picture of a wall. Please use anther company a
The van showed up right on time. The hotel staff was rude saying I couldn’t wait inside. The guide and driver were fantastic! She spoke English and Spanish the entire time. Told us interesting facts. She led us to the caves and made sure we were first in and stayed together. After we were done she gave us time to look at the shops or the picture of us in the caves. I loved all of that. The caves were really nice. You got to go in a boat, then get out and walk for a little and then back in the boat. The problem I had is that the boat driver spoke the entire time in Spanish. I was under the impression that this was an English/spanish tour. I’m sure there were a lot of facts he said that would have been nice to hear. I feel this should be posted in the explanation of the tour. Also, we were told not to take pictures while in the boat till we got through the low hanging parts of the cave. On the first boat he never let us take pics. So on the ride back I had to keep asking when we could take pictures. It wasn’t until the very end.
Great morning excursion. Monica was great and guided us through the history of the city on the way to the caves. Caves were beautiful.
I hadn't planned to do this tour because I'd read that you can't take photos. Due to another tour being cancelled I chose this as the alternative and I'm so glad I did. Manuel was our guide and he was terrific. He explained the photo matter is for safety reasons and once you get inside you totally understand why. The boat travels through some very low ceiling areas and people need to focus on ducking rather than photos. Good news is there is a photo stop on the way out. The boat ride is amazing and then there is a short walk where you see cave formations and then it's back on the boat. Highly recommend this tour
Great experience, the caves are incredible
Monika was fabulous. She was organized and friendly. She helped us navigate to the meeting point easily.
The caves were disappointing ( rather boring) The guide on the boat in the caves only spoke Spanish, this should be noted when booking the tour. Waste of money The guide ( Monica) was quite good
Alessander was a great tour guide. He told us lots of things about Valencia in both Spanish and English. He was punctual, friendly and informative. The caves were so beautiful, really a treat to see. It was a comfortable temperature inside even though I thought it would be chilly. We were in the caves about an hour. I think the resort price is reasonable with the transportation and tickets handled Luis the guided information. Fun trip.
The caves themselves were super cool. Our guide did not speak any English sadly, but we were handed a brochure prior that provided some information in English. Great experience but not worth the price of booking through a company, would be better to just figure out your own transportation and buy the cheap admission ticket at the caves.
I had such a great time ! Our tour guide Monika was so informative and kind! Definitely worth every penny!
Excellent experience and definitely recommended for this trip. From pickup to admission and return was very well coordinated by local group which clearly was included in the plan. 4 hrs from pick up to drop including 1 hrs journey from Valencia each way with our guide „Raool“ was just perfect.
Easy pickup from the cruise port. Type Transmed into Google Maps instead of using the recommended pin because the meeting point is just outside the cruise port building while Google Maps was saying it was 24 -40 min walk! Our guide Benito was friendly, helpful and provided information to us about Valencia going there and back. He even brought us around the city centre pointing out notable items. The caves itself was really interesting. Note that the actual tour in the caves is only done in Spanish. Wish I understood what the guide inside said. Other than that, I enjoyed the tour.
Caves were a great experience and the tour overall was well organised. Transport to and from the caves was on time and there was little waiting around.
The caves are definitely worth a visit considering how close it is to Valencia. The logistics were super smooth.
Was a great experience. Highly recommend tour.
Great experience. Alessandro, great tour guide and so sweet and nice. He also recommended the best Italian restaurant.
The San Jose caves were gorgeous and I highly recommend going to see them. A beautiful work of art. The tour itself was fine otherwise — our tour guide talked a little about the city as we crossed it on the bus. Our bus broke down on the way back and we were told that we would get the cost of the uber back refunded which hasn’t happened yet, but I’ve had a promising conversation with someone from their team and I’m choosing to not hold this over their head. The main attraction was the caves. I’m pretty sure if you are able to rent a car or find another way of getting to the caves you don’t need this coming for it as the tour is run locally and separately from the people of this tour — but this way is naturally more convenient.
Short bus ride to caves and bus guide gave a lot of historical information on the way (funny). Caves via boat....super cool. Couldn't do this back home.
Nice day trip. Ferran was a great tour guide. We had a lovely experience.
We have enjoyed our experience with this tour. Took early option, and the meet-up was smooth. Our guide Ferran was super nice, saying a lot of interesting information about Valencia and the caves we were going to . Caves were lovely. Very unique. Pictures are allowed in the end. Super beautiful and well organized!
Nice cave, quick trip for the morning. Easy Travel.
Amazing trip, Alex was a great guide, very knowledgeable and attentive. The caves were just beautiful ❤️
It was absolutely amazing, the local guide Alessandro (Alex) was an amazing guide who is very fun to talk to and incredibly useful throughout the entire tour. The attraction itself feels magical
Clean airconditioned and comfortable coach. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of educative information. We have a great time, highly recommended. The caves were beautiful.
Ferran was a superb guide. Mostly booked for the caves but the journey had a full tour with really interesting information (much better than we got from the sightseeing bus we did the day before). Would highly recommend this tour.
It was a great experience with the cave and the tour guide was also very good his name was Feran he was explaining everything about the history of the cave and the old city of Valencia
Mano and Ales were exceptional tour guides informative about everything but as well hilarious . I would come back just for them !
Was a beautiful tour and experience. The guides Marcella and Alex were very knowledgeable and easy to follow along with. The caves themselves were absolutely beautiful. Would definitely recommend this tour.
Monica was very helpful to understand the history of the caves
Wonderful experience, extremely beautiful place. Thanks to our guide Ferran, he was very attentive and charming.
Nice seeing caves but very expensive for what it was
Very nice trip with great guide Feron (i think it was his name). During the bus ride there were stories about Valencia and caves told by our guide. The caves are superb experience. I recommend this trip!
So easy not to have to think about where you are going. Caves was a nice experience. Joaquin was the perfect guide.
I gave this five stars because it's exactly what it says it is: a trip to the caves. Marcella was a good guide, I was very impressed at how easily she switched between English, German and Spanish. She provided some good information on the bus, and corralled us all successfully. This trip provides the bus to the caves and the tickets to the caves. You then get in boats for the cave tour. The caves are pretty cool! Other reviews are correct, you can only take photos at the very end of the trip when the boat guide allows you to. Note that our guide caught someone taking photos when they shouldn't and the guide said they would turn the boat around if someone tried that again. Overall this trip was good, and exactly what it says on the packet.
The actual experience is about 45 minutes but it’s definitely worth it. It’s one of the more surprising places I’ve seen. Each boat has 10-14 people. If you’d rather have a more personal experience and kayak that’s also a possibility at the location with a different type of excursion.
Very disappointed! The caves were lovely and our bus guide was informative. Normally I don't post negative reviews. However, the AC on our bus didn't work. They brought a new one to go back to town in. There is no information stating that you cannot take photos in the cave until you step inside the cave. We were given time to shop and eat before the boat ride, but very little was open and we had to meet the bus so early we couldn't get food anywhere in Valencia prior to boarding the bus. The restaurants at the cave were barely open and there was no time to eat if they were. Only one shop was open. The rest were still closed. After the boat ride, we had time to visit the restroom and get on the bus. No time to get food or shop. Lastly, our boat Captain spoke no English so we learned nothing while inside the cave. Our guide on the bus shared info, but without seeing it in person, his commentary was little help. The best part of the trip was being inside the cooler cave with the hot weather.
I really like this trip. Atmosphere in the caves and transparent water was like a different world. Did not want to leave! As for organizational side, bus was on time and very comfortable with AC. My guide was Ferran. He is very pleasant and easygoing. The only pity was that the guide, who led tour in caves, didn’t speak English , so the stories about caves were missed ( In overall, very interesting and inspirational trip.
Caves are amazing! Worth the trip.
Beautiful experience. The cave was amazing. Definitely worth the trip.
