I booked this tour expecting a 4-hour guided exploration of Albufera Natural Park, El Saler Beach, and a sunset boat trip, but the reality was quite different. The "walk in the park" consisted mainly of following the guide to an open area where a short talk was given, before walking straight back to the bus. Very little was pointed out along the way, and there was no real opportunity to explore or experience the park itself. We then took another short bus ride to El Saler Beach, but there was no time to visit or enjoy the beach. We were simply walked directly to the boat. The boat trip was also underwhelming. Rather than a tour of the lagoon, it consisted of a roughly 20-minute journey along a narrow canal before turning around. We never actually ventured out onto the main lake itself. The boat then stopped at an open area where everyone got off to wait for the sunset. There was very little interaction from the guides and no information about when or where the sunset would be visible. In our case, a large cloud blocked the sun, so we never actually saw the advertised sunset over the lake. After that, it was another short boat ride back, followed by the bus journey to Valencia. Another disappointment was that the tour lasted only around 3 hours rather than the advertised 4 hours. There were also no toilet facilities available during the excursion and no opportunity to buy water or any other refreshments. For a tour taking place in the late afternoon and evening, this was poorly planned and something prospective visitors should be aware of. The scenery was pleasant, but the itinerary felt rushed and didn't match the expectations created by the description. If you're looking for time in the park, time on the beach, or an extended boat trip around the lagoon, you may be disappointed. Overall, I found the experience poor value for money and far less engaging than advertised.

Full disclosure: we did not visit during sunset. But I do not recommend this place, it looks like an abandoned town-could be the set for a Western movie-is just a swamp. Nothing worth seeing
Reasonably priced for a few hours tour. The boat trip was tranquil - we didn’t see lots, but that’s because of the time of year - apparently autumn and winter are best. We did see flamingos flying over the lake though which was great. Typically it rained the day we went so no pretty sunset, but that can’t be helped! If you’re looking to escape the city and do something a little different I would recommend this. I would suggest that you check your messages as we were sent a message about the start time at each of the collection places, and the one we were travelling from was earlier than the start of the experience; so that could easily be missed if you don’t check!
Probably not if you are staying in the Old City! I have spent seven fantastic days in Valencia. One of the highlights was a day trip to the Montanejos thermal pools with Hola Trips. We were picked up at Torres de Serranos, and our guide, Paco, was excellent. So, in a moment of inspiration, I had no hesitation in booking a last-minute trip with Hola Trips to Albufera. I booked through Hola’s own website this time. The pickup point was not clearly identified on the main booking page, but is on another page under “Venue”. I foolishly imagined there must be two pickup points, as there had been before. Once I had paid, I received my ticket and discovered that the pickup was at Hola’s office, a 44-minute walk away. I immediately phoned the company and emailed them. Eventually I spoke to a man who WhatsApped me another pickup point, which was still a 35-minute walk away. I messaged back and emailed requesting a refund, but received no answer whatsoever. The fault is mine for not checking the “Venue” information before booking. However, I could probably have been persuaded to pay more for another trip instead. I also feel that the complete lack of response was poor goodwill. Tourists often make impulsive decisions while on holiday, and even a partial refund would have been a considerate gesture. My advice: always check the pickup point under “Venue” before booking. BTW, Albufera is wonderful and easily accessible from the Old City. Take the No. 24 bus from Porta de la Mar to El Palmar. I did the trip independently, including a sunset boat trip, for around a third of the price.
Albufera is a beautiful nature reserve and the hills to the west from the logoon gave a perfect sunset scenery.
Fantastic trip. Friendly guide. Amazing locations. Flamingos, herons, jumping fish and a dramatic sunset over the lagoon (The Albufera). Some advice: Go to the loo before you leave as there are no pitstops. Take a sandwich, a drink and a hat. I would definitely recommend going on this trip.
Great trip with Paco- good communication beforehand, walk could be done in sandals and lovely boat ride with sunset view, would recommend!
The trip was definitely worth it. Paco was a great tour guide and made everyone feel part of the experience. There were a few niggles. No toilet opportunity at any point in the 3 hour trip so go before you go. The coaches ac was dripping as much as it was staying cool. But knowing those things, the trip was completely worth the price.
We had a very beautiful boat trip with a great guide! After te bus picked everyone up there was an optional quick walk through a forest, near a lake with views on flamingos. The boat trip itself was beautiful, with interesting information and a very pretty sunset! It did last until about 10pm so keep in mind to bring something to eat/drink. Would recommend!
If I could recommend any excursion whilst in Valencia it would be this one: it was welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the city. The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming; and the setting relaxing, picturesque, and peaceful.
We had a peaceful experience with beautiful scenery and a stunning sunset. Our guide, Alejandro, was great -friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even better. One note: during the summer, even though the tour takes place in the evening, it can still be quite hot and sunny. Be sure to dress appropriately and bring plenty of water.
Alejandro, our friendly guide, told us interesting and fun things about the nature in Albufera. It was a very tranquil evening, everyone could just enjoy the beautiful environment. A tip: use insect repellant.
Great experience. Relaxed and beautiful nature reserve. Fun and informative. Our tour guide baco very good.
Absolutely picture perfect sunset, very much recommended, don’t miss it….keep ur walking shoe ready..
The reservation is beautiful and the sunset from the boat breathtaking. Arthuro, our guide was the best!
While I enjoyed the visit to the park and seeing the local bird life, that part of the trip could have been laid out more clearly in the description of this tour. The guide mostly just led us to places, with minimal information shared. The description should say more about exactly what you will be doing at the park and what portion of the trip it will be. There was also no open bathroom at the park which should have been communicated before the trip. That said, the sunset boat ride was lovely! I loved the local guide who sailed the boat. He had lots of good information to share and we saw lots of birds, including white flamingos flying overhead. The sunset was beautiful too.
A short journey to a wonderful sunset voyage 😁 - vey tranquil voyage and lovely sunset - nice for photos. A short journey home - seemleess
Very happy with our guide Edwin. Good service and explanation. The pickup time was punctual. The driving and the boat ride good Recommended to all
Great walk, great guide, the bus arrived without delay. We had a good chat with the guide and learned a lot of interesting things about this park. Thank you very much, the boat ride and sunset were incredible.
Alejandro was a great host, who mixed knowledge with humor. A learned a few things during this trip and had a great time soaking in the beauty of the park
The trip to Albufera was amazing, with peaceful landscapes, a beautiful sunset boat ride, and also the guides were doing a great job.
A good trip to end the day in the nature. I wasn’t expecting much but really enjoyed it. The sunset was just stunning! Also guide was nice and making small talk. in the boat they were telling stuff about the natural park
The tour guides were great and the boat trip was worthwhile. The walk around the reserve was not worth doing at all and all in our group felt the same.
It was such an amazing tour, a lovely gem that must be seen if you visit Valencia. Nico our guide was amazing. I highly recommend this tour.
I loved it. Organization was perfect very smooth, the guide was super nice and wonderful nature. I have done 3 tours with this agency Hola Trip during my stay and do not regret it they have wonderful team! Thank you so much guys
Very good family time with Iara, who accompanied us.
A wonderful experience, this trip on the lake immersed in nature, exceptional presence of ducks and migratory birds, rich in eels; the kind and smiling guide did his best in explaining how the eels of the aquatic fauna present are caught, and how the fishermen of the cooperative lived in the baraccas. An experience that I recommend when coming to Valencia.
In the morning of the trip, an email was apparently sent saying they would leave 10 minutes earlier. We didn't receive that. It is not on my email during my vacation and on the tickets and confirmation it clearly stated 5:30 PM collection. We were there at 5:23 PM and everyone was already gone!! I wasn't called, couldn't reach anyone. At the office, they made me wait 15 minutes! Worthless company. We went on our own initiative and that was perfectly fine.
Everything was great, the guides were very attentive and friendly. A place you cannot miss
The trip to the nature park was well organized, our guides were funny and knowledgeable, and the boat trip at sunset was especially dreamy.
I do not recommend the walking tour through the Albufera canal to Saler beach because of the heat and humidity, and it also does not have any special interest; you see the reed beds and some lagoon until Saler beach. It is designed more for foreigners, since out of a group of 25 people, only 2 of us were Spanish, and they might find it curious that one eats paella, drinks Agua de Valencia, and that horchata is of Valencian origin. The The boat ride and watching the sunset is fine. If you have a car, it is more interesting for you to take the boat directly, which leaves before sunset, and you avoid unbearable heat and a group of tourists where, if you do not know English, you do not understand anything, and instead of 38 Euros, you pay 8. Paco the guide is a delight.
I booked the tour, but I was not picked up at one of the pickup locations. The tour operator is unreachable, or rather, no one answers the phone or WhatsApp. Too bad, I was looking forward to it.
It was a beautiful short trip. Our guide Paco was very entertaining.
Fabulous guide (Edwin) & generally a very nice experience with walk through the park & the perfect sunset. It was worth it!
The tour was well organized, the tour guide very competent and friendly. The boat tour was very nice, unfortunately we were not granted a sunset that day, that would of course have been the highlight, but the clouds unfortunately objected. All in all, however, a recommended tour.
There was a charming couple-hour tour that took us to the Albufeira Reserve. I learned a lot about the area and the history of the place.
Losing half a day and money to see what they call a nature park in a degraded environment and a normal maritime pine forest with a pond like xe are a lot of them, it makes no sense. To be avoided absolutely
